Good quality and a 3 year warranty, what’s not to like. I’ve been impressed with Ryobi. I have a number of garden tools and drills.
I would recommend getting a 5Ah battery for up to an hours use.

Very easy to put together and swap heads, lightweight but took me a while to figure out the harness, once sorted it hangs so you don’t really feel any weight.
Cuts well, went through fairly thick brambles, some bamboo and thick brush easily. Got about 50mins from a 5ah battery.
Got a nifty hook to hang up the pole in a shed.

Have bought into the ryobi ecosystem so when I needed a strimmer this seemed like the obvious choice. Have been using it with a 2AH battery and get around 15-20mins continuous use out of it when is more than enough for me. The only problem with it is that the strimmer head only has 1 cord. This seems like a cost saving exercise as its no way near as effective as 2 cords. Will have to see if I can find a replacement head

I bought this because my garden had become a little overgrown. It cut through all the bushes and trimmed back the larger weeds with ease. I had a petrol model and it compares well with that and isn’t as temperamental. Only pitfall is I’d make sure you have 2 good size batteries as it does go through them quite quickly. One 5ah battery lasted about 40 mins.

This has saved so much time cutting down a very, very overgrown area, We put the metal blade on as we had some quite thick brush to get through. We have a few large areas to do so could justify the cost. Once you get the right working action for this, it cuts through weeds, brush very quickly.

J en avais marre de mon rotofil a essence capricieux et gourmant en carburant, sans parler du bruit.
Mme si j ai eu du mal et franchir le cap cause du prix des batterie j ai pris cette dbroussailleuse coupe bordure avec en supplment 2 batterie 5.0A .
Rsultat a marche trs bien pour mon jardin de 150m2.
Peu bruyant et performant .
1 batterie utilis pour faire tous le tour de mon jardin et des abre . Et en mode debrousailleuse pour enlever toutes les ronsses sur 10m de long avec la mme batterie.

Although not apparent you do get a harness to help carry/manoeuvre the brush cutter in use. I have used it several times on a river clearance helping to get rid of established brambles. Apart from getting through 5ah batteries in about 20min constant use – in both strim and brush cutter modes it is ideal for medium to heavy usage.

perfectly happy with this. It’s one of three Ryobi tools I use to tame my rainforest garden. Power is good and I put it through quite a lot. It isn’t light, but manageable. I would recommend buying the 5amp battery and quick charger; the former lasts very well and the latter will get it back to full charge in an hour.

Treat the non-verbal assembly instructions as a Christmas game and it all goes together easily after a few dead ends. Once together the cutter does a fair job on medium brush (say brambles).

Apres differents essaies sur debroussailleuse thermique sthil ( desagreable par le poid,l’odeur, et la corde a tirer. Outil parfait avec une batterie que j’avais deja de 4ah tiens pour tour de 400m2 de jardin. Plus qu’un coupe bordure moins qu’une dbroussailleuse. Un nouveau genre hybride bien pratique pour de l’herbe en terrain accident. Cependant il est conseill d’avoir plusieurs batteries (1 batterie 4AH tient 20 min).

Je cherchais un outil polyvalent qui pourrait la fois me servir de coupe-bordure et de dbrousailleuse occasionnelle. Je l’ai utilis pour dbroussailler mon jardin (6 ares de mauvaises herbes et ronces de 80cm de hauteur). L’appareil fonctionne bien et est confortable utiliser (c’est juste un peu fatiguant de garder la gchette presse en permanence). Seul bmol, mme avec une batterie officielle Ryobi de 5Mwh on ne tient pas plus de 30 minutes pleine puissance.
L’appareil est livr avec un harnais, une lame triangulaire (pour les grosses ronces, etc.) et du fil assez fin.

Bien pour un produit batterie, pas trop lourd, bien quilibr avec la batterie (important car utilis sur un terrain en forte pente). Il faut une batterie minimum de 4ah, en-dessous pas assez d’autonomie. Coupe efficace sur herbe paisse, non test sur ronces. Pas trop bruyante et agrable utiliser, quel plaisir de ne plus avoir de plein faire, ou d’avoir un fil lectrique qui ‘tire’ derrire et s’accroche partout…

Fantastic tool. Blade attachment chews through most bramble and hedging up to about half an inch thick. Used with 5.0 batteries which give around 30 mins cutting time. Power remains high right until the battery dies. The tool itself is easy to assemble and even easier to use. The included harness makes it light work to carry around the garden. Highly recommend for light to medium trimming work.

Vorausgesetzt man ist fhig die Bedienungsanleitung zu lesen, den Akku ordnungsgem einzusetzen und nicht mit dem Messer versucht Steine zu verkleinern, erwartet einen eine berraschend potente Akkusense. Die Verarbeitung und Haptik macht einen sehr guten Eindruck. Im Einsatz hat sie sich die letzten Monate bewhrt. Natrlich ist ein Benzin getriebener Mher von einem deutschen Hersteller mit S leistungsfhiger, doch bleibt einem der Gestank durch die Abgase und das Wartungsgedns fr den Motor erspart. Deutlich gnstiger ist sie auch. Insgesamt ist die Ryobi aus meiner Sicht eine runde Lsung. 3 Akkus sind jedoch aus meiner Sicht das mindeste um anstndig arbeiten zu knnen. Die sollten einkalkiert werden. Egal von welchem Hersteller. Wobei die Ryobi-Akkus von wirklich guter Qualitt sind.

Die Akkusense ist top mit original Akku und dem 2. Vom anderen Anbieter funktioniert tadellos mann muss natrlich Abstriche machen wenn mann die Sense mit einer Benzin getriebenen vergleichen mchte aber vom Wirkungskreis und der Kraft des Gertes bin ich fr meine Ansprche voll berzeugt die mitgelieferte schnur ist nicht so gut aber kann man ja durch eine andere vom besserer Qualitt austauschen das schlagmesser wrde ich jedem empfehlen es zu schrfen im groen und ganzen ein sehr gutes Ge

Does what it says on the tin once you have managed to assemble it from purely pictorial instructions. The harness was another matter. Getting that properly adjusted took longer than putting the machine together. A 4Ah battery lasts about half an hour using the blade to cut thick 40 cm high grass.
Another reviewer was critical of the delay in speed up of the rotating head when the trigger is pressed. They are obviously unaware of something known as “soft start”. Soft start is the gradual turning on of an electronic power supply to avoid stressing the components by the sudden current or voltage surges associated with the initial switch on. It protects both the motor and other parts from being damaged.
Full marks to Ryobi for incorporating soft start with this machine.

So far have only used with the metal brush cutter blade. I managed to assemble it ok and have used it a couple of times – went through a large patch of nettles and brambles with no problem. I have the big battery and it lasts aroynd 40 – 45 mins.

Goes throught brambles and long grass with ease and lasts about 25 minutes per charge. Much lighter, quieter, cleaner than old petrol strimmer which you needed oil and petrol to use. However would not use for heavy duty work which require using for more than 60 minutes a day.

Good tool very impressed. Downside if there is one, the powerful nature of this tool means it uses the battery very quickly so make sure you have a 4 or 5 amp battery to accompany it.
