Can’t comment on longevity yet but (apart from the multi-tool which lasted just long enough to go past the warranty period) I am generally very happy with Ryobi one tools. The saw isn’t as powerful as my corded saw but it is much quieter and versatile. For doing larger jobs I make sure I have a couple of fully charged 5.0mah batteries.

Love Ryobi stuff. Have 4 of their tools and all going strong and some I have 4 years now. This saw is no different after about a year. It does what it’s supposed to and doesn’t break a sweat when ripping 50mm timber. Accuracy is what you’d expect for a Circ Saw. If you want more accuracy then a track saw would be best. It’s a good little tool and nothing to complain about for the price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIch habe diese Sge jetzt seit ca. 2 Jahren in Gebrauch.

The cs7 is on another level, sturdy and powerful saw ,cross cut 60mm deep into oak sleeper with ease using 6 year old 4ah battery and 3 bars of charge and blade as supplied, was hoping it was good after reading all reviews and it is really that good, straight out the box and straight through oak.
If you are looking to buy a cordless saw, stop reading and go and buy this the cs7 it puts others to shame.
    Well done Ryobi.

It took me while to get used to the blade being on the right (my old Ryobi’s was on the left) but it’s great to use. Quieter than the old one and far easier to adjust for different cuts. It cuts very well and overall is a real step-up from my old one.

Now there was a lot of trouble purchasing this as it was advertised as being able to purchase with installments but this was not the case and they took the full amount out of my account putting me ove drawn and there was only what I could call a lack of help or under qualified customer services really annoying .

I’ve wanted one of these for a while and I wasn’t disappointed when I finally got one. It’s really easy to use, although takes a bit of practice in terms of accuracy. I think it was partly due to me confidence in using something so powerful.

My only comment is it would be better if the grip was on the right and blade on the left for right handed people, it would be easier to see when cutting. Power and cordless use much easier my old cable saw.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’m a DIYer and wasn’t too sure about skills sufficient to use the Saw without messing things up.

There are plenty of Youtube videos that can help you through this and more importantly the additional tools that you need in order to make the thing easier to use – in particular a roofers square and clamps. At some stage I will make my own guide rail.

So, in terms of being able to review this based on my knowledge is quite difficult. All I can say is that I successfully managed to use the Saw on a number of different woods and lengths and it worked extremely well. I have bought into the Ryobi One plus system and in this I have both 5.0 and 4.0 batteries – i used the 5.0 battery mostly and had no issues with the thing jamming – as some reviewers on here have stated.

The blade that comes with the device is sharp and I assume general purpose and did the job well.

Without this device I would have needed to use a jigsaw – not great for long runs – but the accuracy and ease of use it gave me as a DIYer was more than I envisaged.

If you already have a Ryobi battery and need a saw I think this is a no brainer. If you search for Charlie DIYte on Youtube, he provides an excellent review of the saw and how to use the thing properly.

I’m very pleased with the Saw and it will no doubt be valuable in future projects

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have another brand circular saw that this saw just totally outclassed, the other brand is 18v lithium as well, however the ryobi has a bigger cutting blade and feels better built. When you use them the ryobi motor just has power!, unstoppable is the best was to explain it. I have demoted the other brand saw to my kick around saw one for when I’m cutting where detail doesnt matter. I use 5ah batteries on the ryobi saw and it doesn’t eat the battery either again unlike the other saw. I have yet to have the ryobi saw stop while cutting. The other one will stop at the slightest pinch to the blade and it cuts out. Now I have got to the end of this review I will tell you the other brand was Stantey Fatmax with its 4ah battery.

What’s more to say, great power and a clean cut. I’ve used it to cut through sleepers (10cm x 20cm, 4inch x 8 inch – requiring a cut from each side) and almost perfect accuracy.
I’ve also purchased the Ryobi saw rail – works great with it.

A very welcome upgrade to the old non-brushed version. Uses the bigger 165mm blade now more common on cordless saws.

This is quite a beast and is heavier than it’s older stalemate.

Used on 1.3Ah battery and it cut several lengths of 18mm ply.

This saw is compatible with the newer ‘Power Boost’ batteries as it has 4 power prongs. It still works with the standard One+ packs.

Got this last week and used it to build some fencing. No issues with the power and sawed through some 100x100mm fence posts (with two cuts) with no problem. It is fairly hungry on the battery but then you would expect that given the power required for a circular saw to be effective.

This is the around the 20th tool that I have in the +one collection. I am used to using corded circular saws so I noticed a substantial drop in power when using this cordless one. However, if you take your time and have a full charge in you batteries it can get the job done. I bought this to cut melamine panels for our new kitchen that I was installing and for a pair of gates I wanted to build (Lockdown Projects). I didn’t want the hassle of extension leads etc. I bought a new blade and put the factory supplied one in the drawer. Gave a good cut so have no complaints. Not sure how it would fair with thicker hardwoods but definitely has it’s uses. Top tip is only use a fully charged blade to avoid cut-out on longer rip cuts.

Good addition to the collect. Slightly under powered

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersRefitted a kitchen recently, laying a new floor and making the required rips for that, trimming doors, installing some stud walling.
This for the long cuts, a sliding mitre saw (also Ryobi) for the lateral cuts and a jig saw and multitool for anything fiddly.
Seen some reviews that this saw won’t cut, that it binds, blade won’t turn – the blade has to be locked in hard, using the clutch lock button and a strong turn on the allen key. Just holding the blade, turning the key and hoping isn’t going to work.
Took the bottom off an old door, left an edge so smooth you’d think it had been planed. And went through it like butter. I bought the ryobi finer toothed blade which fits this unit, less depth but less chance of ripping the veneer off laminate. Lovely job, quick, effective and powerful. Very pleased.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersFirst off let me say, this product is totally 100% brilliant. Light enough, power in spades (when using the 6ah battery) , and a quality made product.
BUT……it arrived without a blade and I had booked in a days work where i needed to use this, so was mighty miffed.
That also indicated to me that the product had been opened and was a return (had pencil writing in box too), but open close inspection , it hadn’t been used.
Amazon took ages to respond on their chat and eventually said ‘sorry, we can offer you 14 as a gesture of goodwill” I pointed out that a blade costs 20 and after almost an hour I eventually got a discount that covered my blade and then a bit more for inconvenience.
But, it then took another day for blade to arrive and pushed back my work by a day, and all for a 5 gift voucher as a gesture of goodwill.
Amazon have done similar things to me before and they really do take the biscuit.
In short – their promise of 1 day delivery etc are worthless if you either don’t get the item that day (which has happened to me 4 times) or the item isn’t complete and the only option is a full return (at your inconvenience) or this kind of haggling where they expect you to accept less than the cost of a new blade, then almost an hour later on chat-bot they agree. Beware of making any kind of plans based around Amazon promises

It is a case of being patient as the power is not as great as corded saws and if rushed will jam.
I like this because it is easy to use accurate and adaptable.

I have a number of One tools and when I required a saw to help dismantle a large decking area I went for a Ryobi to make use of the batteries. I only have the lower 1.3 Ah batteries so was expecting an issue, but in the end one charge cut through 25mm thick decking doing about 15 palnks before needing to change. I will be buying a 5 Ah battery when it comes to building a shed but have no concern the saw itself will not be up to the job.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a great piece of cutting kit! I have to admit that I was ready to be disappointed with this circular saw as I had read some reviews which did not rate it highly. I can say it has been brilliant, coping easily with 18 mm thick fence boards on long runs and cross cuts. I am using it purely for home DIY, and for this it is exceeding my expectations – why didn’t I buy one before? This one is the brush-less model and is the latest tech on power tools. It is powerful, easy to use, really quiet compared to my old mains one (although I still wear hearing protection) and using it with a pair of 4Ah batteries gives loads of cutting time. Build quality is good as are the accessories provided.

Really can’t fault this. Cuts beautifully through all range of wood densities and thickness. Ergonomic and easy to use. I’ve a couple of 4ah batteries and they lasted longer than expected.

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersI needed to take 8mm off the bottom of a new oak door and my hand-sawing skills leave something to be desired, so it was time for another Ryobi tool for my increasing stock of ’em. I cost justify the expense by what it saves me in having to employ someone to do the job for me; I get the satisfaction of completing the work myself, save money and end up with a useful tool after the job is done. I carefully marked up the 8mm line on the door, made sure my work area was stable, well lit and comfortable to use….. I made a practice cut on a spare piece of wood (dead easy to use) and then with my heart in my mouth made the cut on my 190 door…. it had to go right! The cut was easy, the saw was simple to guide along the line and the cut was really smooth, no splinters or jagged bits. So, for me the expense was really worthwhile. Would a cheaper saw have done the job…. who cares…. I can use my existing Ryobi batteries and I am typically brand loyal if I judge the products effective.

So far so good – there is a guide rail included which wasn’t apparent but a welcome addition.

Good value body only set but I would recommend using with a minimum 4.0ah battery because of the power/speed of the tool

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI found it difficult to achieve a straight cut on its own. I clamped a spirit level to the sheet of wood and ran the edge of the saw frame down it with excellent results. Everything else about it is fantastic. It’s much better than the old mains powered saw its replaced.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersDie Sge funktioniert super.

So impressed by the power of this saw paired with a 5.0ah battery, glides through ply and chipboard like butter. Only thing I would say is there are a few plastic parts witch are metal on the USA version that’s think is a let down. But it’s still great, and very quie

My only let down is the plastic lever at the back to adjust height is abit flimsy. If were metal it would out do dewalt by far.

As with all Ryobi products this is well constructed and feels solid and reliable. I’ve only done a few smallish projects so far but the results have been excellent. It works with the One+ system too and so there are no annoying wires dangling around. Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWhat an upgrade! Bigger blade and more power, the smaller saw was good, but this is great. For the enthusiastic hobbyist or DIYer you can’t go wrong, I’ve cut sheet materials and chopped down oak without issues, just be steady and dont try to ram it through and you won’t be disappointed.

After returning the cheapest model in this range as it was totally useless, this model is the Rolls Royce sails through 18mm boards faster the a 1200w Skil saw, it is truly magnificent. You get what you py for!

I’ve never liked using circular saws because I’ve been worried about the whole fast whirry blade hitting the overly short power lead. This is a doddle to use and I’m starting to saw straight for once!
