Takes up more space than some but so much better performance.
I bought this food processor over two years ago. Just found the order again and thought I would leave a review. It is one of the best pieces of kitchen equipment I have ever bought. It is sturdy, powerful and does exactly what you need it to. No separate blender needed either – the 4 blades and the super power mean it blitzes everything you need it to. Would not be without it.
It’s changed life in the kitchen for the better. It lives up to all the positives said about this machine across many reviews, on many different platforms. If you are hesitating – don’t. Just get it.
Have been wanting to buy this processor for several years but always been put off by the price, however we finally went for it, and it doesn’t disappoint. Great build quality and all the attachments work well, instructions could be better but its not difficult to work out.
Only downside is the weight of the machine, however if your not moving it around all the time then it’s not an issue once in place.
I have used this a lot, its really great at chopping veg for soups, can cope with a heavy duty squash with ease. Great for making pastry and kneading dough, so far I highly recommend it.
Only one thing, about the easy-to-clean part: pay great attention to the blades when cleaning, they are scary sharp.
Otherwise the machine is superlative in every way.
This is an amazing piece of kit. It truly does what it says on the tin – it whizzes through grating vegetables beautifully, cheese, making breadcrumbs, pesto and the list goes on. I’ve not tried baking with it ….. yet!
The machine looks good but is rather heavy so it is highly recommended to ensure that you have enough worktop space so you can leave it out on display – and why wouldn’t you! The footprint isn’t too big – it’s just the height of it with the lid on that MAY mean you cannot store it under a cabinet – mine is next to my fridge freezer with the discs and blades in their box on top of the freezer and it works well. The only reason for sitting mine on the tray as pictured is to make it much easier to move from where it’s stored to where I use it.
I personally think that even if you’re not a baker/regular dish ‘creator’, this still has it’s daily uses in any kitchen – whether it is just bulk grating/slicing lovely veggies and/or fruit, whizzing up some mayonnaise or pesto, whatever, it’s worth the investment. Other cheaper equipment you could argue can do the same thing for less money but I promise you, this is so much quicker – and washing up isn’t that much of a drama to be honest (I don’t have a dishwasher) – just have a bowl of hot water and washing up liquid ready so you can ‘swoosh’ the blades/discs immediately after use and leave them to drain in the supplied storage box or one your sink’s drainer – there are little holes in the bottom of each disc/blade holder in the supplied box for this reason.
I’ll be honest, I did ummm and aaargh about this for a while and wondered whether I’d get much use out of it but trust me, I do so it was a great investment. However, a side-note (though I would hope it goes without saying) – be VERY CAREFUL WITH THE BLADES, they’re INCREDIBLY SHARP so no little hands anywhere near them! Buy one of these beasts, you won’t regret it.
This is a big heavy processor. Maybe in hindsight we did not need such a large one. Yes, it will be useful if we ever need to make a large batch of something but we have had this for over a year now, and running out of space has never been an issue. In fact you could argue the reverse. Because the bowl is so large, you can struggle to cut up ingredients if there are not enough of them. There is the smaller bowl but this is frustrating as you can only use it when housed inside the main bowl and the lid is not sealed and so you make a mess of both bowls.
But we do like it, it is well made and overall, it does a great job.
The blades are so sharp so be careful washing it. Which you will, as you’ll use it over and over. So many attachments and surprisingly most are useful. I’m not going to use the whisk but all the others are tried and work well.
This is a really powerful machine with excellent accessories. I particularly like the fully adjustable slicing disk.
Expensive but excellent quality. Neat box organiser to keep all the attachments i
We have been gradually adding Sage appliances to our kitchen and are really pleased that we decided to go for this one. It is well made, simple to use and the attachments and storage are well thought out. The efficiency with how it chops things is very impressive. I have had various electrical kitchen gadgets die over the years, mainly due to motors burning out. Given the wattage of this one compared to others, I expect that is unlikely to ever be a problem.
Very heavy but does everything & can cope well with nuts and dates – just allot of equipment to clean – most seems suitable for dishwasher though
The slicing disk is wonderful. I prefer different veg sliced to different thickness from paper thin to thick. This machine allows me to manage this to my heart’s content. The large chopping blade will evenly chop down a bunch of kale or greens with a few short pulses without over-processing some bits . The mini chopper is good producing finely chopped items depending on how long you pulse it for however I found my metal spice grinder better for preparing fine purees.
The small chipping blade is okay for producing matchstick sized potato chips but I haven’t found it good for julienning other veg. The edges of the cut veg are a bit rough and I would have preferred a slightly larger cut. Having said that there are enough variations of cut that I can produce via the grating blade, slicing blade & positioning the veg in the feeding chute lengthwise or straight down , to keep me happy.
Other things that I like that save me time/ effort: There is little wastage (ie items getting trapped between lid and blade) when using the slicing and grating blades. The feeding chute is large thus I avoid having to pre-chop most items . The container itself is also large and can hold a whole shredded cabbage and still have space for grated carrots etc meaning I don’t have to keep emptying it . These things matter and I am happy with this appliance.
This machine is amazing!
Super simple to use and I really like the safety features.
The only minor down side is that the dual blade is so sharp it is a bit scary to clean
(I guess that’s why they include a brush in the box).
Other than that I’m VERY happy with my purchase.
I love this food processor. It is cuts everything beautifully and very quickly. All of the attachments are very well made and slice, chop, grate, etc very well. It’s very helpful to be able to choose to use the large and small capacity bowls. I am now far more adventurous with my cooking, because it’s easy to prepare the ingredients quickly. My only disaster came when I tried to make mayonnaise in it. I might have misread the instructions, but I will use a whisk next time. I wish that the bowls and attachments were okay to go into the dishwasher. I won’t risk it, because I want this piece of kit to last for ages!
With this product the only limit is your culinary imagination!
This processor will tackle anything asked of it without strain.
Hello, I’ve made a raw apple puree, it’s perfect. thank you very much. By the way, the kimchi made to the Mr.Heston’s receipe tastes very well.
The variation of size of shoot is really useful, the large one is huge – whole potatoes, large gherkins and cucumber lengthways for sandwiches, (long cucumber slices make it much easier to assemble sandwiches that stay together rather than little circles).
I’ve blitzed up some almond butter, hummus as well as ginger-beetroot and tomato sauces, …. and I’ve only had it 1 day! The peanuts are waiting to go in in the morning for fresh peanut butter and the hubby has ordered chips for tea tomorrow …
It is quite big but not excessively so and doesn’t quite sit under my top cupboards but I knew that and have a spot to put it – it will definately live out and be in use often, its pretty easy to clean, warm soapy water after greasy stuff or
rinse with water between veg and its good to go – the bottom of the big jug is a bit fiddly to dry but a good soft cloth and its done.
All in all I’m really thrilled with it, it feels like a quality piece of kit that will last, I often do quite large batches for church and family parties and it will make my life so much easier – can’t wait for the next event!
Only used a handful of times but so far just wow…. looks great, very sturdy and the attachments are excellent quality. In fact I would say seems like a much better build than many of the similar priced brands. Very simple to use – straight forward stop pulse go system. I have used a handful of attachments so can’t rate it all but for now I have been impressed.
Some reviews mention having to clean both bowls when using smaller one. This is true but to be honest it takes seconds to rinse the larger bowl from any small splashes etc so really not a big deal.
At this stage, highly recommended. Especially when on offe
Since we got it a few weeks ago – it is in daily use – we chopped all sorts of things to perfection – made soups, salads, tahini, sauerkraut in huge quantities, I even tried aerating red wine in the mixer to my wife’s amusement – all to very high standard.
I am not sure where I can fault it – if one need a chopper that makes every slicing job a joy – this is it, you don’t need to go any further.
Yes it is heavy, and the tidy for all the disks and blades is even bigger than the actual unit, but this is very useful, and to be expected.
Remember – this is a long term quality purchase, and over the years it work out cheaper than buying plastic built food processors- we’ve worked through three in as many years.
Well worth the eye-watering price; does everything it promises and hardly makes a noise
Slices raw celeriac bulb and parsnip 1mm thin with ease.
Minces venison onion and dried juniper berries in 30 second. The berries chopped up into 1/16 inches. Yummy burgers.
Best ever for nut butters. I rosted 400g hazelnuts, rubbed the skin off and grind them in the big bowl. 1 minute, scrape and 30 sec. I have not had such a velvety smooth butter from any shop.
Chopped dried dates and sunflower seeds in 30 second easily. Perfect start for bliss balls.
The small bowl is best for liquids and dips. I made green leaf drink and sunflower and veg dip. Did not get it smooth perfectly but I like to see what I eat and drink.
In the large bowl I mixed cake batter that come out smooth. Also smoothies were blended perfect too.
Hand wash only, but drip dry in 30 minutes.
Only downside is that I can not grind linseed with the Sage food processor. The blades are so fast and the linseed is weightless, the seeds just whirl around. It takes 10 minutes in the big bowl and a pound of linseeds to chop it up roughly. No advertisement mentioned grinding seeds so I can not take it into consideration.
I wish I did not wait so long to purchase it. I my opinion the Sage food processor worth every penny.
More powerful than I thought – first time I used this I turned bubble and squeak in a gluten mass – excellent 2nd time – look forward to trying out more options – time will tell – maybe submit a review in 12 months again!
Having used Magimix, Bosch and Kenwoods – all mid range to top-end, I have to say I am the most impressed with this machine.
4 blades make quick work of anything that needs to be evenly chopped.
A multitude of useful additional blades and tools that comes in a handy good looking accessories box.
The machine itself is quiet, and powerful, and easy to clean.
The extra-wide feed chute is useful, especially for vegetables into a longer length.
Heavy, Solid, Dependable. Definitely worth the extra price you pay for this.
It feels like every aspect and feature has been thought about carefully, taking the best of other brands, and making a machine that is even better.
I am impressed with the processing power and the quality of engineering/thought process/Make. In the past I used a small range food processor but that could not shred cabbage for me. But this one is mind blowing. It took me only 30 mins to wash/shred and 2 hours to prep a batch of 10 Sauerkraut and the it was effortless comparing to my previous experience.
I wanted to post my experience regarding Sauerkraut making as I was looking for similar experience while researching on reviews. Hope it helps someone. Live Healthy!
I have all sorts of kitchen gadgets, some collecting dust. Not so for this delightful machine which is just so very well thought out and designed. The attachment case is very handy and features like the wide chute, French fry blade, adjustable slicer, reverse shredder, mini chopping bowl, and double chopping blade and are all that and more. SO easy to use I was operating it like an old hand on the 2nd day and I now typically use at least 3 of the functions a day. Worth every penny to me!
The blade case is fantastic, not only because it is smart looking and functional, but with a inept cook like myself, you want to:-
a) remove hazardous outcroppings of sharpened blades ready to shred your blindly questing hands in the bottom of the cupboard
b) they are named. Who would NOT appreciate that?
c) they are protected from dust and unintentional contact with other items in the cupboard.
It is large though, so if your kitchen is small, make sure you get the dimensions and can fit it in. It is worth it.
So, about it’s use. I am a terrible cook. I need to get more organised and learn some great recipes.
This unit has helped me a great deal. Even in the stress of trying a new recipe, it cannot be anything other than fun to chuck objects in a machine and watch them get spit out in the size and shape you want.
I do often find that I will chop things myself if there are only a few things to do (and it is not worth the washing up).
However, when you have a lot of things or quantity to do – it is perfect. When we were making a few apple pies, we peeled and cored the 10 apples, then popped them in to be sliced in 15 seconds. It was blisteringly fast. I have yet to perfect using the inner (smaller) container, but even a complete duffer like me made a lovely laksa paste and it was fun!
If it can make things more fun, then I am all for it! I feel that I will only get more use from it when I get more time to enjoy and learn recipes with it. It certainly feels like it is made well and will be sticking with me for quite some time.
I WAS VERY WORRIED THIS MACHINE WAS GOING TO BE MASSIVE BUT IT IS FINE. I COULDN’T DECIDE BETWEEN THIS MODEL AND THE SMALLER ONE BUT I HAVE TO SAY THIS HAS GREAT GADGETS ALL EASY TO USE AND FRENCH FRIES THE FAMILY LOVED. I NOW HAVE A FEW SAGE GADGETS ALL GREAT . THIS IS EASY TO USE AND I WILL LEAVE OUT ON WORK SURFACE WHICH I DON’T NORMALLY DO AS VERY SMART.
I also have a 25 year Kenwood Chef which is regularly used for pastry, cakes, and egg whites, etc. Therefore I was not looking for my new food processor to do those tasks. I am perhaps old fashioned but I believe those tasks are better with a mixer whilst the processor does slicing, shredding, and grating better. I was pleased to see The Great British Bake Off follow the same principle as it seems so do many of the TV cooks and chefs.
My old food processor was a pain. The feeder chute was too small. For instance I was not able to slice a whole tomato or onion. Everything had to be cut into quite small pieces before processing. More often than not the last bit of cheese or whatever was being processed didn’t process and would be stuck to the disc.
I discovered that Sage is the UK brand name used for the Breville Group. They market using Sage in the UK as there is already an unrelated Breville UK. In US and Australia the items are branded Breville. I also checked US and Australia prices where Heston’s name is absent from the products and the price is very similar. This pleased me as it doesn’t appear we are being ripped off with the price as it is ‘celebratory endorsed.’ However I watched an interesting, confidence giving video on the Sage Appliances website explaining Heston’s relationship with Sage/Breville Group.
Beware — it’s quite a big box and it’s heavy; gross weight 14.9kgs. Net Weight is 12.3kgs but this does include the container with the attachments.
The product comes with a 2 year (25 year motor) repair or replacement guarantee as standard. This is rather unusual in itself, most only have 1 year. Another bonus.
The equipment is very well made, solid and sturdy. The motor sounds fabulous. The plastic bowls and lid seem about 4 times as thick as others brands. Even the spatula and cleaning brush are extra special quality. If we were discussing cars it’s like comparing a Golf or Mercedes to a Ford (apologies to Ford owners, no offence meant). But you remember that advert ‘it sounds like a Golf?’ – well that’s how it is for the Sage. You are getting what you pay for.
There are several discs in a fabulous container (which on my counter is stood on end to save space). The one I have used most so far is the slicing one which has 24 adjustable settings from 0.5cm to 8cm. The feeder chute is 14cm wide and joy of joys I have put a whole potato in and sliced up for round chips which we like. Courgettes have gone in lengthways to slice for grilling (great for bbq in summer). I have, sliced potatoes, carrots and celery for a casserole and sliced sweet potatoes, potatoes and parsnips very thinly to make homemade vegetable crisps. Tomatoes also sliced evenly. All came out perfect. At the price this machine is I would have been very disappointed if they hadn’t. There is a small bowl inside the big bowl which has its own S blade which I used to chop an onion and 4 cloves of garlic. Also brilliant.
As I haven’t had the machine a week, I have not yet used the discs for shredding, grating, julienne, chipping, emulsifying, nor the quad chopping disc. I will update this review when I have. I read a reviewer found that the machine had issues when chopping meat. The excellent instruction book advises a maximum of 600g meat in one load for the 2000w version of this machine (there is a cheaper 1000w) so perhaps a bigger load would cause an issue. 600g is quite a lot of meat anyway. Certainly there were no issues on the many video reviews I watched therefore I am not concerned at this stage.
I made a meringue two days ago, but as I only use three eggs, I used the Kenwood Chef as usual — the Sage instruction booklet advises a minimum of 6 egg whites and I didn’t want to waste them ‘just to see.’
Another tip: buy this item whilst the Free Risotto Multi Cooker is on promo. I have used it once as a slow cooker — also brilliant. I didn’t have to mess up a frying pan to brown off the ingredients — the Risotto maker does it for you. I read reviews on that too before paying out for the Wizz Pro. Therefore at the moment the processor has 60 off and the free slow cooker is another saving of 90 so it’s a good deal — even if more pricey than I had intended. I hope the Wizz Pro lasts as long as my trusty 25 year old Kenwood Chef has which was also a big expense at the time.
The KItchen Wizz is solid, well made, high quality, and does everything you want a food processor to do except cube, and you can do that using two blades. Handy chute is big enough for quite a large potato, but has a central hole to keep long veg upright for perfect slices. The shredding is terrific, minimal waste, but that is unusual – the fine shred leaves a bit, but the rest haven’t (so far). It can put together salsa in moments, yum! But respect the blades – they are sharp – so sharp you don’t feel the cut (I am thinking of the adjustable slicer blade in particular!) Other than sometimes I’d like another notch or two larger for slices, I have never seen anything like it for thin slices. Great cleaning brush, and most things simply rinse off. I have seen other reviews about the gadget box – I have always been able to open mine without difficulty. Other than the size was a bit larger than expected, it has replaced two or three gadgets, the bowl within a bowl is inspired, and it is rare that anything is wasted now. If you have the means, make the space!
Incredible machine – magnificent engineering quality in every detail – far, far superior to the Philips rubbish it’s replacing
However, it really is a good machine, but now I am very cautious about putting too much in so not got to the stage where it may overload. It’s a shame because I bought it to do large batches..
Vitamix are VERY expensive but worth every penny, I can only imagine how much more expensive they would be had the company used a big name. Fortunately the vitamix does its own talking.
I only received it yesterday and set to testing it with grating tough cabbage and root veg for a coleslaw, all of which it did admirably. There is a video online in which a Breville designer (this is an “Australian Breville” machine branded differently for the UK because the name Breville is used by another unrelated company) described how they examined the various features and flaws of many other food processors to see what works and what doesn’t; this really shows! I think it’s a testimony to Dualit that many of the features from their processors have found their way into this machine, albeit tweaked and made more robust. For instance, the adjustable slicing disc. It’s a wonderful idea, but the largely plastic construction in the Dualit didn’t inspire confidence. All of the Sage discs, including the variable slicing disc, feel very robust and are largely of stainless steel construction.
They have also taken the idea from Dualit to have a sealed axle within the bowl so that it can be totally filled with liquid, more like a blender – there are no holes for liquid to fall down or to trap food and be difficult to clean. Also, the spindles extent right into the lid and “dock”, so it is secured top and bottom, giving a much more secure and vibration free spin and minimising the amount to which the discs bend as food is pressed down onto them, which in turn gives incredibly even slicing results.
In terms of storing the accessories, again the Dualit did have a box, but it was so cramped and the blades so tricky to fit in their correct position that I rarely used it as it was intended. The Sage box is simply bigger and easier to use, with slots that the blades fall into rather than spindles they have to perch on.
One let-down with the Dualit was that, despite the fact that most high end processors (Cuisinart, Magimix, Kitchen Aid) have moved towards oversized chutes, the Dualit chute was still the traditional and fairly small size. You would struggle to push even quarter of a cabbage down there. The Sage will manage half a (small) cabbage very easily. However, they’ve also considered how awkward it is to push long thin vegetables into such a bit chute, so there is pull out “chute-within-a-chute” that is the right size for carrots and courgettes to be sliced end-on.
Another feature most processors now have is the “bowl-within-a-bowl” idea; one or more smaller plastic bowls that sit inside the bigger bowl so that multiple tasks can be performed without the need to wash, and so that the bowl size is appropriate for the amount being processed. This machine has this, but (thankfully) with just one robust mini-bowl and blade. The Dualit came with two, and it was too many – the smallest bowl and blade were never used and just got in the way. However, one criticism of the Sage as compared to the Dualit, is that the grating/slicing discs in the Dualit could be mounted over any of the bowl sizes. This meant if you wanted to grate a relatively small amount, you could collect it in one of the smaller bowls and remove to clean without having to remove the main processor bowl. This is not so in the Sage; if you want to use the discs, you cannot catch the food in the mini-bowl, it must be the full-sized bowl.
I cannot comment yet on the quad blade as the “standard” food processing function is the one I use least; I bought a processor for the grating/slicing/julienne discs. However, it is a good idea as I’ve had experience of the food in the upper part of the bowl not being processed properly on other models.
Overall, I think Sage have brilliantly achieved what they set out to: to bring together the best features of the best processors on the market, and combine them in an attractive, robust product. In some ways they’ve played it safe because there are not really any crazy new features of their own; pretty much everything can be found on other machines, but not all together! I almost feel sorry for Dualit because many of these ideas were theirs, but the quality just wasn’t quite there.
Having said that, the Dualit is half the price. Had I not had reliability issues I would have forgiven them the disappointing chute size and been very happy with the XL1500; I’m not sure I could bring myself to spend 400 on a processor in one fell swoop. As it happened, I returned the Dualit and paid the difference, so it didn’t feel too painful. Other than the one tiny criticism mentioned, the only downside is the price. However, for this money I will expect this machine to last a lifetime. Certainly the motor will but sometimes it is the electronics that let things down; it’s no good in having a bulletproof motor if the on/off button is faulty! Hopefully I won’t have any problems but if I do, it remains to be seen how helpful/generous Sage will be, although I have heard good reports about their customer service. In some ways I wish they did not have the electronic buttons, timer etc – these are the things that go haywire if they get a bit of water into them. The good old clunky mechanical on/off switch and pulse button is all you need and has stood the test of time.
As a final note, I’m really not sure why they feel it necessary to involve that plonker Heston Blumenthal. Anyone looking to spend this sort of money on a processor is probably not interested in celeb endorsements, and if you go to YouTube there’s a cringeworthy video of him “demo-ing” it at a show, where he looks frankly drunk, clearly doesn’t know the product and can barely think of the words to say. It’s embarrassing!
EDIT: I’ve had this for a week now and twice have taken a chunk out of thumb with the slicing disc! Be careful! Admittedly this was my own fault for being careless, however it’s quite ironic given that one of the selling points is its safety compared to old-fashioned mandolins. The danger point is when you’ve just finished processing and are removing the disc from the processor bowl; you have to grip it by the small plastic centre piece of the disc to remove it from the spindle. However, obviously the blade (which spans right from the edge of the disc to the middle) meets this centre piece at one point around it’s small circumference. As you pinch to grip it, your thumb or fingertip can easily slide along the blade – and it is extremely sharp! I recommend picking the disc up by the edges and if you must handle by the centre piece, be very cautious.
Result well pretty much inline with all the other reviews really, the construction is excellent a real best of a machine, easy to clean , nifty adjustable blade and a sensible (almost) box to put the blades in. The 25 year motor guarantee is a comforting plus as well.
Minor gripe; as mentioned by others, the first time you try to open the attachment box is scary. I was certain I’d break the lid, but it does open and things resolve themselves after opening and closing it a few times.
So all in all well worth the 5 stars awarded.
As an aside as I indicated in the title of this review less than 2 weeks ago I’d never heard of Sage Appliances but I was so impressed with this product I’ve now also purchased the Scraper Mix Pro and the 4 Slice Toaster I’ve also just received the Slow Cooker which was being offered on a free promotion, all of which now tried and am delighted with.
Super easy to use, extremely powerful. It comes with a lovely toolbox that keeps everything safe and in the right place. A must-have for all kitchens!
The delivery was excellent and I love my food processor. It’s easy to use and does what it says on the box. I have now been using it for a few weeks and it’s great. The storage box for the blades is perfect and the thing I love about it is, that it’s labelled so you know what each blade is used for. My storage box is easy to use and works perfectly.
I sent off for my free gift. The free gift was the slow cooker. I received this quickly and it is also excellent.
I have made perfect pilau rice with mixed vegetables. It’s also very quick and efficient.
It’s worth every penny.
I’m more than pleased however that Amazon gave me excellent service in this matter and shipped a new one and sent me prepaid returning labels! Also very fast shipping, a week faster than stated!!
The replacement works very well, I have used it for a month now.
It’s rather quiet, extremely steady, the quad-blade make sure that everything is chopped within a second or two (be careful so you don’t overwork dough etc.). The inner bowl (the smaller one) does not leak to the big bowl, which many of the other brands have an issue with. Another great thing is that this machine doesn’t leave unmixed ingredients in the bottom of the bowl when making e.g. cookie dough, crumble pie etc.
Love the storage container with the labels for all parts (no wondering what goes where or what it’s used for! ;o)
I truly love this machine, it’s far better and effective than all the others I have tried the last 20 years (Bosch, Electrolux and Braun).
The only negative thing is, as mentioned, the lack of warranty for us non-UK recidents. I will also give it a minus for not making all the parts (e.g. the food pusher) dishwasher safe.
Update 08-Jan: The Sage customer support team were extremely helpful and suggested applying some more force to open the box and thereby allow the product to be used, offering a replacement box if damage ensued. With more forceful leverage I opened the box which made a very loud “click”, thankfully without any obvious breakage / bits of plastic lid flying off and this now seems to open and close without issue so all is OK. Its a real shame I experienced this problem as the Kitchen Wizz Pro product and accessories are really well engineered, let down (initially) by what I would assume is a cheap plastic moulding. I am increasing the score from 1-star to 4-star to reflect the great customer support and the overall product engineering solution (dock 1-star for the poor storage box).
It’s a fairly hefty, well proportioned device that I left up on my kitchen counter so I didn’t have to haul it out of a cupboard each time I wanted to use it. So, if you’ve got a small kitchen then perhaps this isn’t the right appliance for you.
As well as the actual food processor unit, you get a very nice box in which to keep all the extra blades and pieces that go with it. This is a nice little extra with storage room for everything and a lid to keep it all in, clean and together. It might not be a necessity but it’s a great addition and explains at least some of the large price tag.
The device itself is sturdy, powerful, not too loud and has every different attachment you need and then some. I really liked the fact that it had an extra large feeding spout so you can pop, for example, big potatoes down for slicing – unlike in some smaller models where you have to chop them first. A nice little time saver. Added to that, the significant time savings due to the power of the machine and you’ve got so much more time on your hands all round. There’s also the efficiency of the machine – you won’t be waiting around for that last tiny piece to be blended, sliced or chopped.
I can’t claim that this food processor is perfect, and, of course, it comes with a hefty price tag. But boy is it powerful and if you’re willing and happy to spend a lot of money on a bit of kitchen equipment, I really don’t think you’ll be disappointed with this. It may be linked to a celebrity but underneath that, it’s still a great piece of equipment that it would be a great addition to your kitchen. 5 stars.
