I recommend the sense-u breathing monitor. Cool device, works best for us when the child is sick, my daughter breathes faster when she has a fever. Price adequate to the item
This is easy to set up and as a new parent really helps to relieve anxiety about my baby. It’s not too expensive compared to other similar products so if you’re unsure about whether to get I’d just say go ahead.
Just a note to remember as an iPhone user you need to make sure that when you put your baby down for the evening to turn your the volume up on your phone and make sure you don’t have a focus mode set or scheduled that will mute your phone.
Brilliant little device for if you like us are a little worried about little one whilst you sleep, have just found it helps us get off to sleep quicker since owning this. Which in turn means we are better rested so better equipped for looking after our newborn.
Used when we put our baby down when she’s not close to us, monitors well and really responsive to movement!
Would recommend to help monitor along with a audio/video device, just to be sure the little ones safe!
We are using these for our twins and connecting it to two separate phone (apps). It works well! The alarm goes off as expected. It’s small enough that it doesn’t bother the babies. It’s a good price to pay for a good peace of mind!

I bought this as I have always used a monitor that measures baby’s breathing for night time use. I looked this monitor because it was smaller than other brands I have used and the app is very simple and clear. I like that you can change batteries so the lifetime of the unit isn’t determined by a battery. The clip could be better I think the material is too hard and makes opening the clip a little bit of a challenge at times. The alerts are very loud and work even when your phone is on silent and DND mode.
I would recommend this item to anyone wanting that added security for their little one.
I’ve only been using this product for a week, but I’m satisfied. Nice design, easy to use and really small which is an advantage if your baby still has an umbilical stump. Of course, there are downsides. The sensor only detects the right side if the baby is lying on any side. It is a pity that you can only be logged in on one phone to monitor the child.

We got this to ease our minds when we put our baby in a crib, this monitors his temperature at night so he doesn’t get too hot or cold, checks his movements and breathing. You can turn it on and off via the app and it has exceptional signal even just for Bluetooth as we decided against the hub. Brilliant piece of equipment.

My son has just started sleeping on his front which meant I was not sleeping! This clip is a life safer, the first night it was constantly going off BUT that was my fault, I had positioned the clip in the centre of his nappy, once i reread the instructions I put it off centre and it worked perfectly. Alarm sounds through phone to alert (you can customise) movement, front/back alert and temperature. I personally only have movement so breathing & temperature as I know he goes from front to back all night. 100% recommend this to anyone with a little one. I now have the best nights sleep as I know this clip will alert me if my sons temp is too high or low or if his breathing drops.

We previously used Bluebell baby monitor which was 4x more expensive, it had to be returned as was very unreliable and the alerts were too quiet (Didn’t wake us up)

We have been using this monitor for the past 9 months now and it’s been great! The battery life is good and really easy to change the battery, was really good when baby was a new born for a peace of mind! Recently had a couple of problems with the breathing alarm going off when baby is sleeping on his tummy but think that’s more down to placement of the monitor when on his tummy. Works great when he sleeping on his back/side. You can change the function setting to suit you and found it works a lot better than the monitor we had for our first born! Would definitely recommend and would buy again!
Bought this to monitor my baby’s breathing/movements at night. I love that it connects to my phone so I don’t need to carry around a monitor with me and it will alert me if there’s a change in movements. It’s small which is easy for taking out if we’re staying away for the night. All around really happy with this purchase.

I was very anxious about my baby sleeping and I wish I got this sooner, it really helped me sleep better! It was accurate most of the time with a few false readings but I’d rather that! If your having a tough time with anxiety around your sleeping baby buy this it’s worth it!
So glad I purchased this product, as a New mum this has given me so much reassurance from using at new born stage to using now my baby is in their cot in their own room. This is reasonably priced compared to other similar products on the market. Very accurate in reading body temperature and detecting movement with necessary notifications and alarms. Dislikes – would like to be able to connect this to mine and my partners phone but app allows only 1 login/use at a time. Also where the sense-U is in constant use being clipped to nappy the clip is prone to break and only provided one spare so have had to purchase more.
Fab little piece of kit for peace of mind in those early days. Very quick to alert us if baby is on her front and helps to monitor temperature. Has even gone off to alert us of low breathing (although completely our fault – night change forgot to clip back onto the nappy!) great to know it’s working though! Been using this for two months now and I’d say for the money paid it’s been well worth it 🙂
Was amazed how compact the sense u was, and came with a spare holder and battery. App was easy to use and connect up with sense u , each time you use it. Your phone clearly shows movement and ambient temp. The only disappointment was that the advert, which was not clear that you had to upgrade to get breathing rather than movement monitored, so was a bit disappointed. Despite that, the sense u definitely provides a sense of reassurance, especially when used with a soond monitor.
We got this to monitor our newborn, and feelings are mixed.
Design:
The device looks good and is small enough to not be in the way of anything. The matt feel to the plastic makes it very slippy in hand and difficult to attach to nappies. The clip is also very sturdy, which is good for holding itself in place but hard to slide over nappies that crumble up. The clip is also brittle with very limited flexibility. We have had the device for 4 weeks, broke both clips, and had to buy replacements, which aren’t cheap for what they are.
Accuracy:
The on stomach accuracy is good, and we have had no problems with this. It has always gone off when putting the device down the wrong way.
The temperature accuracy I am unsure of. I don’t fully understand what “feels like” temp is, a babies temperatures should be 36.4C according to the NHS. This device always shows around 31.5C even when the babies fairly warm. I wouldn’t trust it currently.
The breathing sensor hasn’t gone off yet, but looks to show a reliable reading. When changing the babies nappy and taking the sensor off for a min or two it doesn’t trigger any warning, so I assume this only detects reduce breathing and not stopped breathing? Seems odd.
Connection:
Connection seems good once setup, although I was only able to use it with one phone, which is a pain. Probably a limitation of Bluetooth?
Battery Life:
Our battery lasted 4 weeks before needing replacing. Not great.
Overall, I feel it’s good as a backup and some peace of mind. We have the baby next to us currently, so my opinion will likely change, and I will want something a bit more reliable that I understand when I am not around.

Both this for our first baby due this month so didn’t have a chance to try it on a baby. We tested it without one and worked pretty well. Delivery was quick and instructions are easy to follow. It just gives you peace of mind!

Find it easy to fit and use however you have to be mindful of baby belly button. Also the breathing is not as accurate as it states. I am trying to still play around with the positioning of it. Once my baby belly button is healed i will be able to judge the accuracy a bit more.

So far we’ve only used it for 2 weeks, but it’s already paid off.
Newborns ‘forget’ to breathe, and according to various ‘medical’ advices online, you should simply nudge your baby, for them to remember that vital part of life.
Well, as we can’t stare at our daughter 24/7 (not that we don’t want to), this is hard to spot!
This is where that little disk comes in – it has a mildly annoying alarm for things like rolling over, or low temperature, and a full on siren when it detects weak breathing. It screamed it only once so far, and our baby was right next to me on the sofa. I would’ve never noticed without it, but the alarm made me jump! And just my sudden movement was enough for the little one to snap out, and gasp for air.
Yeah, it has downsides, e.g. we ended up using an old smartphone just for that app (so it’s never on silent, and we don’t have to worry about unwanted notifications at 3AM), and the clip is a bit fragile, but you do get a spare, and if you don’t force it, or clip it on anything thick, you should be fine…
Overall, money WELL spent!
We had our little boy 5 weeks early, and due to this his breathing wasn’t 100% – he used to often skip breaths or forget how to breath. This made it extremely difficult for me to settle on a night as he’s such a quiet sleeper. Fast forward using the Sense-U and it’s been brilliant, initially we set it up on my partners phone but I wanted it on my phone as you can only have it on one (the only downside is that you can only use it on one device….), and it was difficult to swap over to my device! Also sometimes clipping it to the nappy can be tricky, but when we have changed his nappy on a night the Sense-U has alarmed to say no breathing detected etc which is what it should be doing!
I can sleep so much better knowing he has this on, the alarm is very loud and we have had no false alarms other then when removed during nappy changes…
It has also been super accurate is saying which position he is sleeping in, as he’s terrible for rolling onto his side!
The Sense-U is very thin which is great as other similar ones on the market are very bulky, and you slip it onto the nappy near the belly button, which is sometimes tricky – I always pop it onto the nappy before attached to baby to make it easier.
Would 100% recommend!

Easy to use and connect to phone. Clip a bit fiddly at 3am to put on a clean nappy, but the secure fit is reassuring.no problems at all with functionality!

Have been using this since our baby was born and it’s great for peace of mind. You can set temperature parameters and it will alert if baby gets too hot/cold, rolls onto its tummy or stops/slows breathing. The clip fits easily onto the nappy and can go under vests/sleeping bags etc. So easy to set up and use, would definitely recommend.
Been using this for over a week and it’s been great. First thing is that baby doesn’t seem to notice she’s wearing it. App is easy to use and I like the notification bar on the screen when my phone is locked so I haven’t got to go into my phone to check the sensor readings. Overall great product for piece of mind
I was very sceptical about this, honestly I thought it looked like it wouldn’t work as well as it said, but it does! It’s so easy to use and is an amazing little device. I’m a new mum, so this little device puts my mind at ease a lot. I just check the app, I can check his breathing pattern, his temperature and if he’s still on his back, he’s too young to roll over but I’ll definitely use this for a long time. Definitely recommend. Brilliant! And I’m even considering buying the video camera to go with this now, if this is so easy to use, I’m hoping that is too!
I am a Maternity Nurse and this is a great, reassuring piece of equipment. It is my second purchase as it brings reassurance that baby is ok for both the parents and myself, recently after immunisations it recorded his temperature within stated the parameters which was very comforting.
It is on my list of preferred equipment over other baby worn sensors.
Great product and gives peace of mind. I sleep so much easier knowing I have alerts if somethings wrong with my baby. Only issue is make sure you turn it off on the app when it’s taken off as you will get false readings. Also the clip needs to be quite secure. But apart from that works great. One of my best baby purchases.

I love the peace of mind this gave me as a new parent. Only had one false alarm but that was down to clothing not device but it was good to see it working and alerting me.
It’s small and slim and non intrusive so your baby won’t mind.
Downside it can be fragile I broke a little catch off the inside when getting it out of the clip and it came apart but went back together easily enough.
Having to order a second as whilst it is somehow to a degree waterproof (yes accidentally left it on baby grow ) it now unfortunately drains batteries within a few hours so unusable. If they could make a waterproof one that would be perfect for sleep deprived parents like me.
Would recommend to any new parent or those in need of peace of mind.
Great product, the sensitivity was something I worried about but having got my hand on it I found the app updated quickly and the sensor was really accurate and gave me peace of mind.
I brought this for my King Charles Cavalier who has sleep apnea. If his breathing rate drops dangerously low at night , I can wake him up before it stops and he cant breath. It reliable and its allowed me to reduce his episodes of screaming for breath. Value for money? Definitely.
