3rd one I’ve bought. They’re fantastic, lightweight, strong, powerful adjustable beam and recharge or battery. I use them to destruction and they take all the hard wear I can throw at them.
The torch is ok, notvas good as the one I had before that was nicked at work, raging!
The box it came in was really cheap and soft plastic but that’ll just sit in a drawer in my tool box. It’s a single big battery and you do get another battery holder for AAAs.
Hopefully it lasts a good while but at that money if it lasts a few months I’ve had moneys worth as it gets used every day
Powerful bright light, with useful zoom adjustment. Great bit of kit for the price. Seems durable (it’s been dropped a couple times and survived).
If the strobe function is first to appear when switching on the torch, don’t turn the torch off and back on, simply touch the switch lightly to cycle through to the appropriate light setting that you require.
I use this torch for going to the shed to get logs as it’s quite dark after 4 in the UK in winter. It’s sturdy and I like being able to charge it up. Also great case for taking on holiday. A great bright light.
PROS: Powerful light, strong housing, good battery life.
CONS: 1) Weird switch. I could do without all of the flashing elements. I don’t need to signal SOS and I’m not a tactical operator so I don’t need the strobe blinding. Problem is, everytime you switch this thing on it goes to the next effect in this order: Bright, Dim, Strobe, SOS. So only one out of every four times does the light actually come on the way I want it to.
2) The batteries are proprietary or at least very rare kind not available for consumer purchasing. The problem is that the positive end of the battery(a convex metal piece) gets dented by the metal button stem and ends up going concave, thus losing connectivity over time. This leaves you with the only option of using the AAA battery adaptor provided which gives you limited battery life.
Appeal to the manufacturer:
1) Put a dial on the end of the torch that allows you to select which function you want (Bright, Dim, Strobe, SOS)
2) Fix the battery problem by either offering up the sale of more batteries and chargers or by using a more recognised type of battery
3) Add a lens adaptor kit for red ligh
I’m pleased I have this torch but I also like the newer brighter torch as well.
But if you can afford to spend slightly more this new Nighthawk torch is brilliant. It tells you exactly how much battery you have left in numbers like power banks have built in them. It’s brighter and you also get a free keychain torch as well as the main torch. You can also use the torch to charge up your phone in emergencies which could be handy especially if you are a walker or hiker.

Damaged by pressing the wrong end. Bought another though, as it’s a great Torch. Battery life is good, with option of rechargable or single-use.
Bought this torch for an upcoming caravan holiday with family and dog to north Devon, torch didn’t disappoint fairly lightweight and extremely powerful for 16 quid absolute bargain..

Pleasantly surprised at the moment. Everything about it appears good; the torch itself, carry case is adequate, battery was fully charged, the charger works, adapter for AAA batteries works, and the plastic case it comes in is OK for keeping the bits in safe. Torch is simple to use and is bright – certainly everything I need for the African Bush. Will test it for the next couple of weeks and then update these comments if necessary.
Bought loads of different variants of these torches and never been let down. We got caught out in a power cut as our cheap torches did not last long enough and our cheap torches went through batteries very quickly. This torch is compact and it’s lights up the whole street or a room and the added bonus this torch is rechargeable so no more paying out for batteries. Buying one for each of my family just in case there is a power it.
Brightest torch I’ve used for a while and very compact. Charge lasted for plenty of time and covers weeks of shift work
I bought this product because we needed a torch that was a good all rounder for meter readings, the car, and as a general light when needed, I’m glad to say this little torch seems to fit the bill, well made adjustable focus and robust and comes in a very handy plastic case and a stretch carry holder. I have used the torch a few times on these dark winter nights in the garden and the adjustable focus is really useful.

It was great until when walking dog the end which houses the lens fell off and I did not notice until I went to focus the beam so keep an eye on tha

Bought as a gift for Son In Law. Great lil torch, lights up areas well. Good value for money. Have bought another since.
This is great. It’s small enough to fit in a pocket but powerful enough to blind yourself when you forget that you put in into that pocket at the highest setting and forgot to turn it off then take it out bulb end and look directly into it. Don’t do that please.
So you get three levels of bright, a strobe (for some reason) and an SOS flash. You change the brightness or mode by doing a half press of the torch button.
You can make the beam tighter or wider by pushing or pulling the tip(!) and if you make it narrow on a dark and misty night when you shine it in the sky it looks like you have a massive light Sabre. I mean, why else do you carry a torch?
The battery lasts me about a week of 90 minute walks but I do tend to set the torch to the lower brightness. Charging is done through a flimsy charging pack, not usb to the torch which would have been infinitely better but taking the massive battery out to charge isn’t a problem and it also means you could carry spares if you need longer torch/light sabre time.
I’ve been really pleased with this over the winter. I would definitely recommend.
My only problem is that the box is cheap plastic and the locking clip has snapped already? Apart from that the actual torch is a marvellous thing , it’s compact, neAt perfect for a woman’s handbag the light emitted is unbelievable long beAm is astonishing! Plus 5% voucher was not added at checkout !

Torch runs on rechargeable or 3 AA’s provided, unfortunately the storage case provided arrived broken it is really poor quality.
I won’t use it anyway but let’s the purchase down badly.
