This really is a very good safe, security wise it has a lot going for it.

This safe measures 38 cm in width and 30 cm in height and depth. It is quite heavy at 13 kg and is very well made from a black alloy steel.

It comes with everything required including for expansion bolts which allows you to secure it to a solid wall. Two master keys and two emergency keys are also supplied as well as easy to read and follow instructions.

Inside the safe is a shelf which is removable.
The keypad is operated with AA batteries.

To lock and unlock the safe you have a couple of options … keys or electronic keypad. If you enter the key code wrong 3 times you will hear a very loud warning beep.

My husband has fixed our safe to an internal outside wall, this wall is made of solid stone so we feel confident at the safe will not easily be removed.

Pleased with this safe and I have no problem in recommending it.

Thank you for reading my review and I hope you have found it useful.

This is a great little safe. You can either unlock it with the two keys provided or use the keypad and just one of the keys. There’s also an emergency battery that you can use incase the battery inside the unit has died. The display is nice and easy to read and the buttons easy to press. You will need a key either way so you can’t just use the keypad as entry. I guess you could just leave the key in it though if your not so keen on having to find the key each time you want to open it.
It comes with all the fittings needed to fit it to a wall or floor and it’s a very solid little safe. Sure your probably nit going to want to keep your millions in there as someone would easily get into it with a decent amount of time, but perfect for small items and it’s nice and small so it can be hidden away. I use this in conjunction with a fire wallet so all out personal documents are safe and secured in the event of a fire or theft.
Overall it’s a great little safe and perfect for so many uses.

This little safe is for putting small valuable or documents. The safe is heavy, with its heavy door and two strong locking bars for high security.

Although it is heavy it is still liftable, so it is better to fix it on a concrete wall. The safe came with with bolts for attaching it to wall.

The safe has two ways to unlock, one with the key and password, or if forgot about the password, you can also open it with a key and an emergency keys. It will create sound when you press the buttons or you can also change it to silent mode so it remain silent when pressing. If the safe is experiencing a violent vibration, or wrong passwords have been entered 3 times, that it will activate the alarm system, it can be stopped by entering the correct code, it not the sound will last for 60 seconds.
Inside the safe there is an removable shelf which can be taken out if you need to put larger item into the safe. The soft inner linings offers protection for your valuables from scratches or damage.
Overall, it is a good safe, but you must find a place to securely fixed onto or it will be taken away by thieves.

I’ve got to be honest this is a bit of a crazy safe. Even though it’s strong and sturdy and well constructed you do need patients to set it up.. I would strongly recommend this safe. And definitely good value for money. The one good thing about this safe it doesn’t really matter who knows your code they still can’t get in you still need a key to open the safe. Just a quick note tried to get hold of of customer service two asked about. Additional keys to the safe if didn’t want to know no. It was like the Spanish Inquisition so please don’t rely on customer service because there isn’t any

I always wanted to buy a safe. I think that when you mature you gain more valuable or precious thaings and you realise that some things need to be protected.
We got this safe mainly for jewellery and important documents like deed for our home.
It is not fire proof but you can just buy fireproof pouches.
The safe is standard size, we have hidden our in the pantry as this is not an obvious choice like wardrobe.
The internal shelf is removable. Safe comes with screws to fit to the back wall
It is very easy to set up and instruction is easy to understand.
It will beep loud if you enter wrong code 3 times or if you remove key when opened.
Personally I prefer safe with handle & 1 key rather than 2 keys but it’s not a huge difference in use. Safe is quite heavy.
The keypad is operated with use of AA batteries . And is very well responsive.
Great product overall, I would buy again and I would recommend
I hope my review and photos were helpful

    I'm happy with it.

Whilst we do not have a great deal of jewellery or hold much if any cash around the house these days, we do have ownership documents and policies that are important. This looked like an idea solution to keeping them in one place and out of harms way.

Ordered the safe and it was delivered the next day in a chunky, honeycombed box, it comprises the safe itself, two sets of keys, a plug in battery holder pack (no batteries supplied) and mounting kit. The safe measures 38 x 30 x 30 cm and weighs 13 Kilograms, it has mounting holes at both the rear and on the bottom so you have options of securing to a solid floor or wall — I would suggest that fixing to a wardrobe or plasterboard wall is insufficient to prevent it being easily removed. The safe reminds me of the type you get when in hotels on holidays abroad, though unusual in the respect that they are generally a key, a card or a digital keypad — not a combination of two of them like this safe. The large or master key acts as the normal users key and also as a handle to open the door, quite an odd choice for a safe I felt. Inside the safe there is a shelf, the rear mounting holes for the wall and a felt cover for the base, underneath which you will find the mounting holes for the floor if needed. On the door a small light on the rear of the door provides a little illumination in the safes interior — useful in the dark, whilst on top of the door is the battery holder resided under a pop off plastic cover for 4 x AA sized batteries (not supplied) and a reset button is also located here.

To use the safe you first gain access by inserting the small key in the right hand side lock beneath a small slide cover, and turn it clockwise, and the large master key intoi the left hand side lock beneath its small slide cover and turn anti clockwise. Now insert the batteries in the aforementioned top of door compartment, this will initialise the digital keypad ready for use. You must now change your master code and user code to those of your own choice (remember these) and you are ready to use it in anger — you can gain access in emergency using the emergency battery pack and keys. Be aware that there is an alarm in the safe which is triggered by vibrations such as attempts to move the safe, or by three incorrect attempts to open it using the keypad. If the alarm is triggered it will sound for 60 seconds — or until a correct code is entered on the keypad. You can set a date and time on this safe, and thus you have the ability to check for previous unlocking records, however since it seems anyone can override the date and time that is set I do not see the value in it. I have attempted to contact Tiger King who have a listed email address on the documentation to discuss this without success. The safe digital display is quite clear, though you do have to look at it head on / from the side as from above or below you get a background washed-out display of all zeroes making it harder to see whilst entering digits.

I must admit I had not thought about a safe for important documents, bits of jewellery and a couple of items that we hold dear to us even if not of high value, but now we have it I feel a lot better knowing that they are secure. The safe is practical, strong and whilst it is fairly big and takes up a whole shelf in its location, it is a welcome addition to the homes security. At nearly 140 it is a bit more than I would wan to pay, but there are vouchers offered on this at various times of between 20 and 50% so watch for them.

So let’s get right to the good parts, the safe looks brilliant! The blue backlight and LCD is clear, fail safe has 2 keys, both keys need to be used for the door to open which is better than the safes with only one, comes with bolt fixings aswel, plenty of room for bigger items.

Things i did not like was the poor instructions, and the buttons on the keypad let down it’s otherwise good looks.

Great Safe with a few quirks

The safe does remind me of a hotel Safe, with its heavy door and double bolts the safe is very safe. The safe is very heavy

I love how it comes with bolts you can attached it to wall ( please make sure its a Cement wall not plaster board. thieves will just rip your plasterboard.

The safe has multi ways to unlock, you have the keys, the keypad (battery powered) and emergency keys.
I feel the valuables are going to be kept safe, providing you find a secure place to mount it

    I recommend this safe

    Pros
    – Multiple ways to gain entry
    – Mounting kit included
    – Heavy.
    – Similar to hotel safe

    Cons
    – Need to be attached to concrete wall
    – Bit chunky to hide

    It arrives very well packaged.

It’s easy to get it all set up and working.

    It’s very sturdy and heavy.

I dislike the fact it doesn’t have an actual handle of the door, you’ve got to hold the key to open it.

Overall though, for the price of it..it’s a good safe at a very reasonable price.

The safe is delivered in a very sturdy cardboard box. It weighs around 12.5kg. 4 heavy duty screws and plugs are provided so that it can be secured to a wall. There is a small instruction booklet which contains an email address should you have any problems with it. Also 2 master keys and 2 emergency keys plus an emergency battery box which is used if the batteries in the safe run out whilst it is locked. 4 AA batteries (Not supplied) are required and put inside the safe at the back of the keypad to start using it.
The instructions are clear and tell you that it is pre-set at 1234 and the master code is 123456 and to set your own codes up to 8 digits but it doesn’t say that you have to use the same first 4 digits again in the master code. (took me half an hour trying to set a master code up before I realised this fact). An alarm sounds when the wrong code is put into the keypad and this takes a full minute to stop unless you use both keys.
There is no handle on the safe so one of the big keys has to be used all the time to open it. The time and date are input into the LED display but I still haven’t worked out how to change the ‘day’ on it. The safe can log up to 14 opening records which is another good security feature. There are two ways to open the door, one is to use the keypad and the other is to use two keys.
The safe is a good size for domestic use and holds large documents in A 4 envelopes. There is a removeable shelf for any larger items and it will hold a 14″ laptop but no larger.
The price at time of review is 130.89 which is about average for the size of the safe but it is very good quality and value for money in my opinion.

The only thing I don’t like about this safe is that the numbers on the key pad are a silver colour and difficult to see unless at eye level and the key pad only allows 10 second to input your code. Other than that, I like this safe and can recommend it.

This is a hefty unit weighing in at 13kg and should be easily big enough to keep those important documents safe and maybe your laptop (14″ or less) or important jewelry when you’re away for a period of time and intend to keep the safe somewhere hidden.

It doesn’t say it’s fire proof but it should survive anything but the worst situation. You can secure this to a wall with the included wall mounts but obviously, this is only as secure as the strength your wall permits. Someone determined enough will get this off an internal wall so if you are using it in your house, you’re going to want to tuck this away out of sight as its very appearance suggests you have something of value.

It arrives in a very substantial box which you can use for storage later which is quite nice — recycling and all. The instructions are not the best due to the language but it’s easy enough to work out. Use the keys to open it, insert the batteries and set up your code. If you put the wrong code in, it give a nasty loud noise which may deter someone from having another go. Input your code to turn the alarm off. The alarm is obviously battery dependent, as is the internal light.

If your batteries run flat or you forget your code, you can use the two keys provided to get back in. You need one of each — see pic. I suggest you leave a set with trusted friends or family if you are using this for your wills. That way if you lose your set, you can still get in.

Listed at 130 this is not a cheap item but I see it has a 50% voucher until the end of January which is a substantial voucher and if you manage to buy it at half price then you have a serious bargain.

Anyone who has stayed in a hotel bedroom with a safe will be familiar with this item. The construction feels robust and well engineered. The design allows for both keyed and keyless entry and it has a number of good features to protect access. There are four holes drilled in the rear with supplied bolts for fixing to a wall. I have some mixed feelings about using a safe in your own property. It is ideal if the house is unoccupied and you’re protecting valuables from a opportunist burglar. However, if you were confronted by a determined intruder who demanded access to the safe, would you divulge the code if threatened with violence? For myself, I will fix it to the wall inside a fitted wardrobe to make it less visible. That way I feel our valuables will be secure if we’re away from home for any period of time.

This combination safe comes in a protective box and it is heavy (15kg+). It comes with two user keys, two master keys, external emergency battery box and expansion bolts for installation onto the wall.

The plastic used on the battery casing and the key pad does look a little tacky, but then the price of the safe does reflect this.

There are three ways to open this safe:

    user key + master key
    user key + user combination
    user key + master combination

This safe cannot be opened without the user key (long one). The user key also act as a pulling handle as the door has no handle.

Setting up, such as changing the user and master combinations, is simple, just need to follow the instructions booklet. Combinations consists of maximum of 8 digits.

The safe measured to about 34L in capacity. There is a removeable shelf inside. Ample room for a few A4 folders with the shelf removed.

There is a small light on the door that will turn on briefly once door opened and turn off by itself after a 30sec or so. You will be able to see the content briefly in the dark.

You may set the date and time in the key pad, the safe will then record up to 14 unlocking records. So you will know if someone has opened the safe without you knowing by checking the unlocking record.

There is an external battery pack that can be plugged into the underside of the keypad in case of the installed batteries ran out, a good thought-through.

Could not find the instruction on how to turn off the beeping sound when key is pressed, I am still trying to figure it out but I am sure there is a silence mode.

The instructions are written by google translate, but you will know what it is trying to say.

Overall, I think this safe is great for people who likes a physical key access. This is also good for offices in the situation that you want the safe to be opened only if two people are presence simultaneously, one person can hold the key whilst the other will set the combination.

    Dual-access Safe

The Smarthive Safe and lock box, judging by its credentials, will thankfully be a bit of a tough nut to crack, or in this case, safe. There are two 20 mm locking bolts set into the door of this safe to ensure what’s locked in there, stays there until you retrieve it.

Initial access to the safe can be achieved by inserting the smaller of the two keys (the emergency key) into the right hand lock as you face the door of the safe and turn this anti-clockwise, and the longer of the two keys (the master key) into the left hand lock and turn this one clockwise.

Once inside of course, you can then set about inserting four ‘AA’ batteries into the battery receptacle on the top of the door. This will then give you the power necessary to drive the digital keypad where you will enter your access codes. A low battery light will indicate when you should change the batteries and a small LED light can be found at the back of the door assembly to light the inside of the safe. The included manual will walk you through the above, step by step.

At a weight of some 13 kilograms, this alloy steel safe could still be quite easily removed simply by lifting it, which is why there are four bolts included in the pack. These four anchors will allow you to secure the safe to any immoveable surface you can gain access to, thus eliminating the possibility of a grab and run event. The safe also has a smart warning system in which any violent vibration or three incorrect attempts on the digital keypad will set of an alarm of 60 seconds duration, however, this can be halted by entering the correct pin code.

You will find, inside the safe, a battery container which you will only have to use in an emergency, so obviously best to keep this stored in a secure location. You will need this to open the safe in the event that you let the internal batteries run out of power while the safe is locked. A dividing shelf is also present within the safe which is removable should you wish to store larger valuables.

In summary, although I have yet to decide where I intend to site the safe permanently, I’m absolutely delighted with the quality of this product, and once I have it anchored down, as are my intentions, I’ll feel reassured that my valuables will be secure.

To open the safe without the electronics in an emergency takes two keys . The battery compartment for the keypad is located in the top of the door ..

Inside there is another battery , a top shelf and on the base there is a felted liner to store items on without scratching them .

The LCD display on the keypad comes on as you type in your code , putting in a wrong code results in a red alarm colour and vibrations .

I’m still getting to grips with all of its functions . Initial impressions are that this is an amazing safe . It’s made from alloy steel and is heavy , anyone trying to steal it would need to be very fit .
