They are comfortable and light. Good quality.
Small and sturdy case for carrying.
Excellent purchase
The range on this is very good as I use it both for work and pleasure.
It took me a while to pair and connect it to my laptops, but once it was done it worked a treat.
There is no volume control on these ear plugs which is the only real thing I am not happy about, but otherwise apart from being larger than I thought they are well made, sturdy and do the job. I have exercised with them on and they did not fall out or uncomfortable. For the special price I bough them this was a real steal.
The sound quality etc was very good as you would expect from such a product.

I am no technology expert or an expert on sound quality and output. I only know what is good for me, and these headphones are exactly that. I’ve read a few reviews where the bass wasn’t as good as expected, however, I am not experiencing that. I think the bass is amazing. It’s crisp, clear and it thumps.
These headphones are incredibly comfortable, they don’t hurt or feel uncomfortable when worn for a period of time. They charge quick. They don’t fall out or slip out of the ear when I am on my daily walks/runs.
They’re everything I expected. A really good set of affordable blue tooth earphones.
I made this gift to my son and he definitely found them fabulous, I recommend them % you will not regret.
Fantastic sound quality, look great very smart, decent sound cancelling
Also looks stylish in the ears as well.
I have had all sorts of soundcore and they are fine, including the liberty pro 2 and they are fine I think these are way better sound and build. Just a bit too much bass first go!
No app to manage, but it’s simple, common sense controls and less faff with an app. You know where the button is, and you know when you’ve pressed it, right play/pause/back/forward, hold for Siri. Left – press to vol up, hold to slowly lower the volume.. that’s it! the touch sense ones are doing all sorts when you take one out to speak to someone etc, over engineered.
Call quality is ok, it does pick up room echo but how can it not when they are set in your ear with no directed mic arm.
i took a chance on these earbuds as i needed something to replace my cheaper earbuds and i had some doubts not being a Sony fan but i will say i am so glad i did. i took them out the box and they feel very cheap and plasticky and they seem to stick out of my ears a little more than others but nothing too bad. i didn’t change the tips so i was using the ones that were already on them and i wore them for around minutes and my left ear was a little sore but right ear was fine i suspect changing the tips will solve this. a paired them to my Samsung s21 plus and they connected without any problems and it also tells you how much change is in the battery which is good. i was very surprised by the sound quality and the base in my opinion these sound great and the base is n not too overpowering i tried lots of music that i had on my phone and also watched some YouTube and i found everything to be very good the Bluetooth connection remained stable throughout charge time was good also i think it was about an hour to charge the case and buds to full apart from the small issue with the sore ear i will say i have no regrets about buying these so if you want some good earbuds with good base and clear vocals then i would tell you to try these, i used to use skull candy but i would say these are bette
Great earbuds if you love bass then you will love these
They do tend fall while running fast , although i tried all sizes!
Overall I am quite happy with this product!
She uses them to watch TV when I’m on the gaming rig, listens to her podcasts on her long walks, and to be honest, she uses hers more than I use mine, so all in all, for the price, a great buy.
Things I liked:
– Best sound so far from earphones
– Wide range of frequencies
– Long battery life
– USB C
– Passive noise cancellation
Things I didn’t like:
– Sometimes you can hear a static noise when there’s no sound coming out
– Connection has interferences sometimes. Depending on the device. I’ve tested both on Android and Macbook Pro. It seems to work better on Android. I had to make some encoding adjustments on Macbook Pro to avoid interferences.
– When you’re running out of battery, it’s quite annoying that there’s a voice telling you that you’re running out of battery constantly. I mean, I hear it once and that should be enough, but you’ll be hearing that voice until you run out of battery.
Plenty of ear buds to choose from to make a good fit, sound great easy to use
10/10
Good sound quality, easy to operate. Charge quickly and hold charge brilliantly. I have really little ears but the smallest buds work well and don’t dislodge easily.
The instructions in the box aren’t that great but there is a QR code for online instructions that are much better and easy to navigate.
Connectivity seems to be good and setting them up was a doddle. I just took them out of the case, turned my Bluetooth on my phone on and it found them straight away.
The button is a physical button rather than a touch sensor. I much prefer this as I find the sensors hit and miss and difficult to control. The buttons on these buds are on the edge which means that you don’t press the bud further into your ear when you press the button, which is much better in terms of sound and comfort. The left and right buds do different things when listening to music: left controls volume, right skips tracks back and forward and pauses and starts music. On phone calls both buds have the same controls. Only the right bud can be used to access the voice assistant.
I have yet to try them for calls but will update this review if I do find any problems.
Overall, I think these are absolutely fantastic little ear buds. I will admit I do tend to like the sound produced by Sony products and these are certainly no exception. Well done Sony!
Great sound quality and loader than other makes I’ve tried
Best sounding buds ive has.No noise cancelling but it hey fit so snug you cant the outside. Worth wvey penny
They fit comfortably in the ear abd won’t fall out if you’re using these during exercise.
Gift for my husband, he is delighted with them, say’s the sound quality is superb. They were well packed and sent quickly too.
The problem, the size and shape of these Earbuds is weird and hard to get used to. I have small ears and they stick out quite prominently and it’s hard to get them to a comfortable fit, my boyfriend tried and even he didn’t find them as ergonomic as they could be. We both have other pairs of wireless Earbuds and both prefer the sound of these Sonys but the size and shape is just not as good as the other more compact Earbuds, yes the larger size accommodates for the better sound drivers but I think the shape could have been improved as I have others with great bass and are also quite big but in a shape that stays in your ear and does not protrude too much.
Overall I do love these, the case is conveniently sized the sound quality is audibly better than other Earbuds which are arguably more expensive but the size and shape makes it harder to reach for these over my other Earbuds.
The buds themselves are very comfortable, the case is great and serves as a charger and the sound was very good although a little bass heavy (I’m sure that’s just a setting though).
I really liked this product but I had no use for it as it didn’t work with a Playstation.
Be careful who’s advice you take on here. Amazon were brilliant and refunded me. Couldn’t fault them at all.
They’re very large earbuds, works for me because I have larger ears, but it’s something to consider.
I’ve never had to adjust them, they stay comfortable in my ears.
So, not perfect. But pretty good!
These headphones are a solid fit and have no fear of them coming out whilst exercising
He loved the case and brand. I can tell they are a hit as he works with them on and probably has them too loud because we have to tap him! Not sure about battery life bug definitely good noise cancelling!!
Starting with the packaging, as usual with all Sony products I have used before, this is taken care of as always to the smallest detail. It’s always satisfying opening a well packaged product and Sony deliver this every time in my experience.
Inside we have the earphones inside the wireless chargeable case, a charging cable, various sizes of rubber moulds and the manual booklets.
I was impressed with the look of both the case and the earphones. The plastic materials used are of great quality and they look smooth and professional. The case is also made with scratch-resistant plastics which gives the user peace of mind when out and about.
The earphones do seem quite large at first glance, but once you have played around with them and used them, the size is no problem. They are also very well made and feel nice to touch.
I have mainly used these when exercising, and the fact they are splash resistant gives me great peace of mind that they won’t be damaged if they get a bit wet, therefore making them perfect to use for sports.
The sound of these are really great. Perhaps not the best, but you have to remember these are not high end earphones, these are medium to low end. However, baring that in mind, I assure you, you will be surprised. Especially with the deep bass! The sound is really crisp, clear and have good volume. I was pleasantly surprised. The battery is another highlight of this product, which lasts up to 18 hours.
Overall, I believe these wireless earphones are excellent. I would certainly recommend them to anyone to use for more casual use such as exercise or out and about. For the price of these, you get such good value. Great product!
Brought for my husband. He cant hear me amen wearing them…perfec
For 60 can’t complai
Been out for a run and the connection was great, the buds did not budge, despite their size.
Button on left bud controls volume, one press to increase, press and hold to decrease.
One push of button right bud pauses sound, two pushes skips forwards to next track, three times moves back a track.
Slightly on the large size but comfortable.
The sound isolation is really good and it does block out a lot of noise, to the point that if you have music playing, if someone is stood right in front of you talking at you, you won’t hear them at all. This is a little inconvenient at times as there is no ambient passthrough, so to hear people properly you have to take atleast one earbud out. This is not really an issue and is just a caveat of most in ear earbuds.
The battery is really good, the case provides around 2-3 full charges which means that with pretty average use they don’t need to be charged any more than once a week.
One really cool part of them is the case, it looks like a black matte plastic from the outside, however when they are charging you can see that the top part of the case is actually partly transparent which just looks really nice and is a good way to show an indicator light without having to make a cut-out in the case.
There is just a few small issues for me that bump it down to a 4* and ideally it would be a 3.5* if that was possible. When taking a phone call, the earbuds play a really strange noise, as if there was some sort of interference in the line. This has persisted through 2 different phones (a pixel 4a 5g and a Huawei Mate 20) and doesn’t happen with any other earbuds so not sure what causes it. Also they seem to drop out of connectivity when my phone is in my pocket and I cover my phone with my hand, this doesn’t happen every time but occasionally it does and it’s definitely worth mentioning, apart from that the connectivity has been near flawless.
**EDIT**
After 5 months of very light use, the right earbud has stopped working. I have tried following all steps recommended by Sony and they all failed. Sony support has so far been of no help and 5 days in, I am stuck with a half useless set of earbuds. Very disappointed from Sony, not what is to be expected when paying upwards of 130 for wireless earbuds.
On opening the box, I saw the earphones neatly presented along with the charging and holding case. I took them out and started the setup process straight away. The setup process was pretty easy and they paired with my phone quickly.
I was really blown away by the amount of bass in these tiny headphones. They dont have active noise cancellation so you have to get a tight fit into the ears to get the full effect but once you have a good fit, the sound quality is really good. The bass is quite heavy and the sound doesnt distort even at high volume.
I have used them for a few hours inside our home in the last couple of weeks and have not had to charge them till now so the battery life seems to be pretty good. The case can provide a quick top up as well in case I need it. Overall, I think they would easily provide the 18 hour battery life which is mentioned on the pack.
One thing I noticed is that they dont come with capacitive buttons so when I am pressing the buttons, I end up pressing them further inside my ear which might not be ideal. At this price, I havent seen any other earbuds with capacitive controls.
I also noticed that the call quality on these seems to much better than the other cheap earbuds I ahve tried in the past. Callers were able to hear me quite well and vice versa
The only major issue I saw is that I am not able to find the right fit in my ears for these even after trying all the ear tips provided. It stays in when I am stationary but pops out as soon as I move my head so these are not suitable for exercise and in gyms.
Pros
Compact design
Great battery life
Extra Bass which delivers
Great for call quality
Cons
Not suitable for Gym or Exercise at home
Capacitive buttons not available
Google assistant integration does not work quite as expected
Overall, these headphones provide a great sound quality and extra bass but on some of the other attributes, they lag behind their competitors. However, at this price (< 100 bucks) I think they are a good value considering they are from Sony. I would recommend it to my friends who are into bass heavy music. 4 Stars
They charge easily, and fit well in his ears (he’s very touch sensitive so this is a big thing). The charge lasts too so there’s no mad panic that he won’t be able to listen to his music.
Connection is easy and trouble free too – the case is great and is secure. Sound is complete – rounded, deep and yet crystal clear. Music sounds as good as the spoken word – I was really impressed.
We really like these and are considering further purchases for other family members. Highly recommended.
I mainly listen to classic rock music, heavy rock, indie, just good band music, drums , guitar, bass guitar , Queen, Pink Floyd, The Beatles etc, and I think these are great for that type of music even though most would probably purchase extra base earphones for hip hop, dance, drum and base etc.
I’ve been really enjoying using these so much that i purchased the extra base headphones by Sony too, I’ve been hearing sounds I’ve never heard before using these so I’m surprised at some of the negative feedback, the mid ranges and vocals are crystal clear, a really nice crisp and rich sound, no tinny sounds in the treble and highs, although heavy and punchy the base doesn’t take over too much at all, a really well balanced sound overall.
I find them really comfortable to wear and like the simple black design.
18 hours playback time once the case is fully charged, the case is a simple design, not too big and lightweight, 2 X 9 hours playing time on the earphones once the case is fully charged.
The charging wire would be better if it was longer but it’s no big deal.
I’m really pleased with these headphones, really comfortable to wear, easy to charge , ipx4 waterproof too so splash and sweat proof.
Amazing base and mid ranges , drums and vocals sound amazing too, top quality earphones. Would definitely recommend.
Pros:
– Very good battery life between charges (9 hours music listening time from the earbuds)
– Punchy bass response, without muddying the mids or highs
– Comfortable and secure fit
– Stable bluetooth connection
– AAC codec support, great for iOS users
Cons:
– A little large – might not suit some people with small ears
– Charging case only offers an additional 9 hours charge
– No aptX codec support, a miss for Windows users
In the box:
– Earbuds and charging case
– USB-C charging cable
– 4 pairs of tips (1 pre fitted)
The charging case is quite nice and slim fitting into a pocket easily and the earbuds snap in securely with a magnet so no risk of losing them by accident. Battery life between charges is much better than average at 9 hours.
The listening experience is fantastic. Deep bass notes in club music come through with a lot of power which is very satisfying; switching to vocal tracks yields excellent mids and highs. Volume is also good with plenty of headroom.
As with all in-ear earbuds it is important to select the correct tip for your ears otherwise they will sound flat and tinny. You should feel like you have plugged up your ears with water when you put these in. If they don’t fit properly – try a smaller tip before trying a larger tip as this may allow them to seat deeper into the ear canal.
Fit and comfort is very good for me (I have average size ears), keep in mind these are a little large because they contain a bigger driver than most earbuds to deliver deep bass. They don’t feel overly heavy or irritating even after listening for many hours at a time.
Codec support is average – they support the AAC codec (good for iOS) as well as the standard SBC codec but aptX support is missing which is a slight disappointment for Windows users.
Pairing was easy and I am pleased to see these have buttons to adjust volume, play/pause, skip tracks and use a voice assistant – easier to use than touch controls. According to the manufacturer these use a new method for bluetooth data transmission that should improve reliability. I did not experience any connection problems.
I will stick with my bone conductor headphones for exercise as though sound isn’t as good I have no worries about losing them. I’m using these for walking and handy to have in my pocket. They hold their charge brilliantly and fit very satisfyingly into the case.
Functionality is fine, although you need to press a little button at the bottom which isn’t very intuitive but you get used to it pretty quickly. I’ve had no problem with and sound dropping which can be an issue with these.
I have also been using the Jabra 75t headphones and while they fit better and are slightly easier to use, the sound is nowhere near as good imo.
I generally don’t go for in ear headphones because for the most part I find them uncomfortable but after trying these out I was surprised just how comfortable they were. The left was really snug and I was hardly aware that it was there and the right was a fraction less comfortable but still was satisfying to wear, I guess that’s down to the shape of my ear canal.
When put to the stability test to see if they would stay in your ears while being active they were brilliant no movement no matter how much jumping around I did while head banging to sum metal.
A single charge should give 9 hours of battery life and an additional charge from the case. Charging is super easy, just drop the headphones into the case and a magnet perfectly aligns them for you. The case is charged by a USB-C cable that is supplied in the box.
The extra base is clearly evident in the audio, and I tested out quite a few different genres to get a feel for them. I think the sound quality is very good considering the cost and that the headphones are designed for active environments. Yes the audio is not the most expansive high fidelity you can get, but for that you need to paying 500 plus for over the ear headphones. I think for your average consumer these will be more than satisfying. Audiophiles will find issues no doubt.
Other noteworthy mentions are that pairing is simple, they have an IPX4 water rating so sweat or a small shower won’t destroy them. Tri-hold as Sony calls it ensures a secure comfortable and ergonomic fit. There are easy to operate buttons that control playback and access your smartphones voice assistant for hands free calls. So for me I really have enjoyed using these headphones and I would not hesitate to recommend them for the active user who likes a bit of base in their audio.
First impressions: these are large earbuds and in my opinion designed more with a sport orientated use in mind such as running or working out in the gym not having the more common touch controls and instead opting to use a small button on each earbud, the look of them is very nice and although they are large they do fit nicely into the ear and hold rock solid once in but are certainly not the lightest no doubt to accommodate the technology for the extra bass, the case is sloped to make it more of a display/presentation case and I like the subtle design change from the standard.
After unpacking them I put them into the case and used the supplied USB-C lead to put them on charge, I went onto the Sony website to get the manual and have a read through while they charged. After they had fully charged I connected them to my Android phone via Bluetooth which was a really simple straight forward process, these do not have a linked application and can’t connect or be adjusted by the Sony music center app which was a bit disappointing and also do not offer multi pairing, after they had connected it was time to try out a bit of music.
I found these fit really well in my ears and are a really rock solid with no chance of them falling out, they do not come with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) which may be an issue for some but I think is more in line with their intended sports usage being more aware of your audio surroundings, I like the simple but effective push button controls and found them a lot easier to use and navigate than the touch sensitive type, the right earbud is used with a single press on the button for play and pause, double tap for next track, triple tap for previous track and hold the button to activate the voice assist on your device, the left earbud controls volume up with single presses and hold for volume down with answering a call being a single press on either earbud button, I found the call quality very good both ends.
The sound delivery quality I found really good with the emphasis on bass really delivering on tracks with good solid bass but still being able to play a lighter tone of music crisp and clear with almost zero lag, these have 18 hours of charge time with 9 hours in the earbuds and 9 hours recharge time in the charging case, I found the Bluetooth connectivity distance very good being able to go at least 20 meters from my phone without any sound drop off.
Overall I do really like them, in my opinion these are targeted at a sporting user with a good solid fit, IPX4 rating so splash and sweat resistant, the sound quality is really good and they certainly deliver the extra bass, I would have liked to have been able to make slight adjustments in the Sony music app which isn’t supported so it would be nice if they updated to support them on the app in the future, the case is nice along with the push button control which is simple and easy to navigate.
The sound from these is brilliant, even at full volume these are crisp and clear and the extra bass really does make a lot of difference.
I attached them to my phone via blue tooth and they connected straight away, now as soon as i remove them from the case they connect on their own.
I love the fact that i can go out jogging and do my workouts with these in and sweat/rain will not affect them as they are waterproof.
There are buttons on the ear buds so you can use a smart assistant like Siri, answer calls and skip songs.
Overall these are fantastic headphones, they sound great and they look good too.
The buds fitted well with the silicone tips that were already installed, and there are alternative size tips in the box. Delighted that these have IPX4 water resistance, which means no worries if it rains or I’m sweaty form a workout.
USB-C charging via the cradle is quick and easy, and battery life is impressive. The case holds the buds securely.
Bluetooth pairing was straightforward and the Bluetooth connection for playing music is excellent. Voice control by my phone’s assistant works well.
I think these are great value for money compared to other earbuds around the same price point and if you like a powerful bass, I highly recommend them.
The battery life is good- not the best but good enough- 9 hours playtime on average volume, and a 10 minute charge gives 60 minute playback which is great for when I remember at the last moment that they need charging.
Easy to set up and to connect with my phone. The extra bass on it is very good and I am very pleased with the sound. I like Sony products a lot and these prove to me why.
In the box you get a charging case. This is USB-C hurrah! It annoys me when manufactures still use micro USB because I always get it upside down. USB-C cables fit in either way and they support fast charging too. A red LED light lets you know they are charging, Once the case has charged then you can place the buds back in and they will charge from the case battery. Now it mentions 18 hours battery life, this would be the maximum you could get under optimum conditions but you will have no problem getting 10 hours or more and because they charge up quick just place them back in the case when you are done and they will be ready to go again. 10 minutes of charge gives you about an hour of usage — great when you are in a rush!
Pairing was easy, I paired with an iPhone 11 and it all went seamless. There are buttons on the buds that lets you initialise your smart assistant like Siri and google, answer calls and skip tracks. I tried it with one call and the microphone worked well however it picked up some background noise as well. These are splash and sweat proof , rated IPX4 so don’t throw them in the pool but day to day they will be rugged enough to withstand the sweatiest of work outs.
OK so now the main thing — sound. All I can say is WOW you will not be disappointed at all. They are crisp and clear and the bass is amazing! There is no connect app that works with these so you will have to use the built in EQ on your device such as phone settings.
To wrap this up, they sound great, they look great, they are easy to pair to your phone or device. If you dismiss the fact there is no connect app which would let you EQ pre-sets or the mic on the hands free being a bit meh! Then you have got yourself a great set of wireless ear buds.
Yep, it’s for bassheads on a budget.
The tuning is kinda clever, but, they’ve essentially traded all fidelity for a very bass heavy sound that you can play at max volume.
So, for any serious listening sessions, it’s a definite miss, but if you want to pump bass heavy music and have basically no need to apply EQ, this is great – and that’s why we’re all here isn’t it 🙂
Would’ve liked just a tad more volume headroom, but fortunately aggressive bass music is pretty loud anyway and I get that it’s a pure Bluetooth in ear. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely enough for a work out session, but you always want a bit more “unsafe listening levels” headroom for really short sessions or really dark tracks.
Sound signature is basically an L shape.
It outresolves things half it’s price, but only barely. There is a little texture to the bass too which is surprising but…nothing to write home about.
All of this is expected for the price and target market. Pairing is pretty easy, but haven’t tested much else yet. May update if anything really good or bad occurs.
So again, highly rated for bassheads, but don’t expect high resolution/quality from the mids/highs. Oh, contrary to another review, the mids/highs don’t sound diminished on bass hits, there’s no distortion of that kinda which would imply under powered and over taxed drivers.
Now obviously as the packaging states XB = Extra Bass and yea you 100% get that. The mids are going to be slightly overpowered by the bass and highs so if your an audiophile and want a neutral sound stage this ain’t it cheif.
But if you want earphones that pump you up and get you ready for your next set or to take your mind of running (as running sucks) these are great.
My only criticism is I wish they were like 5% louder but I am a bass head so I like things stupid loud for most these will be loud enough for sure.
Oh and battery life is good 9h for earphones and an extra 9hrs in case. So unless your sessions are over 9h your all good.
Firstly the fit to the ear is really secure – there are a number of different size earbuds in the pack so had to try a couple but now the headphones are really stable when out running. Secondly the sound is really good – the reviews talk about punchy bass which is really true!! Finally, they have great battery life – compared to others I considered this had the longest battery life. You charge them in the cradle via the USB C cable supplied. I would recommend this product.
I am very impressed with the durable feel of the item also, you can tell the housing is designed to last drops and prevent scratches, and I really appreciate that as a owner of Sony’s flagship XM3 buds also. I am also able to enjoy them in the pouring rain, unlike the XM3’s. This is a huge plus, as I have many times runned the risk of getting buds wet.
I have to say though, I am a little disappointed by the mids quality, only compared to the XM3’s experience, but I doubt I would feel this way if I hadn’t experienced those first. They don’t have the same level of richness, and clarity, and I do miss that. But then, these are using different 12mm drivers, which have their very own special advantages….
I hate over ear earphones, most look and feel uncomfortable on me, and despite the quality you can get on those units, I much prefer wireless buds. With these buds, you make few sacrifices, the soundstage is punchy and energetic, and perfect for modern musical tastes.
Bass heavy music sounds devilishly good, spine tingling good the first time you experience it. It feels unexpected that a wireless buds can create this degree of bass.
The bass is extremely impressive, its wonderful to get such rich bass levels from buds, for what feels like the first time.
They fit very well, creating passive ANC, better than seen on the XM3. This also probably helps improve that bass effect also.
