My Rommie doesn’t like anything constricting so the usual harnesses were a no go. This is nice and easy to take on and off and isn’t restricting for him. Perfec

My Beagle has disc problems in his neck and spine. After having surgery i needed something light that didnt put pressure on him. I have now purchased 3 over the years. They fit around his chest nicely and there is minimal harness on his back with no pressure. They dont look like they are very strong… but they are. you can adjust them when you need to put a coat on them, i just put it on the outside over the coat.. Perfect!

Bought for use after my labs neck operation, as she could not wear a collar. She is very strong and it gave better control. She got used to having it put on very quickly. For comfort, essential to choose the correct size.

I have used these harnesses for 6 years and only had to replace them this year. I have two Jack Russell’s, so they get so excited to go for a walk or a run , these harnesses have braved every type of weather situation , have been washed in the washing machine and have been used daily.
The only reason I had to replace them was that one had snapped.
They are adjustable and easy to put on. They seem comfortable for my dogs especially under the arms due to the padded area.

Absolutely amazing my dog always lunged forward when he wanted to sniff something even with a nose halti on but this harness is comfortable for him and nice a sturdy and really does stop him pulling.

I purchased two of these harnesses for my two small Jack Russell’s . As we have purchased two before which have lasted a number of years but we’re looking a little tired after being washed every week and worn every day while out walking. They are excellent and the dogs find them light and comfortable to wear with no complaints as I have had after me trying to put a collar or other makes of harness on them.
Would defiantly recommend and the adjustment is generally good even on the small size that I have. Easy to fit just over the head and each front leg then just pull the draw strings and lock the clamp in place.

Have a young dog who pulls and leaps about when excited and was in danger of hurting her neck or getting away. Tried another similar harness which worked well but rubbed the skin behind her elbow. The soft padding and the elastic in the the Sporn makes this a much more comfortable harness. It is easy and light for the dog to wear. She has learned not to pull about so much and is a pleasure to walk. She now walks well in just her collar and is clipped into the harness only when there are lots of dogs or livestock about.

Bought this for my 9 month old Working Cocker. I had got to the point where I was dreading walks with our 2 dogs as he would pull me all over the place – he’s strong! This harness gives me so much more control and although he’ll still pull when he’s excited, it’s nothing like before. I bought a medium for him which is the perfect fit. Such a great purchase and would highly recommend. I also leave it on when he’s running off lead – the ‘loop’ dangles by his side but it doesn’t bother him at all and saves the faff of taking the harness on and off constantly. I’m still working on the ‘heel’ training

This harness has been so good for our 9 month old lab, it’s comfortable for her and a gentle pull on it from us stops her from pulling and brings her back to our side. This helped a lot with her lead lose training. We also had a scare when she escaped her old harness and ran onto a road! This one gives us peace of mind because the harder she pulls the tighter is goes so there’s not much chance of her slipping out.

We’ve had it now for around 4 months. We probably will need a new one soon and she has chewed it a bit so it looks a little frayed near where the lead attaches so I’m worried it may snap. It probably doesn’t last long hence the 4 stars but can’t really complain for the price!

Good for 9 month old strong lab

Second one I have bought now.
I have 2 x dogs 1 whippet and 1 x whippet X, the second is very strong and pulls constantly whilst walking, the very first time I put the harness on the pulling stopped(whilst giving her a treat at every point for a week, don’t do it now). She still pulls as much when a squirrel or car goes past but normal walking is amazing. It worked so well I bought another for our other dog who I didn’t think pulled much but his lead lead is now constantly slack

Great for puppies and pugs because the fleece covered strapping is really comfortable and does rub. This is my second one I bought the first 8 and a half years ago and it’s only just worn too much on the plastic toggle so needed to be replaced. But I think that’s a long time and a lot of use !!

  13. VonLamilami says:

This harness has definitely helped to stop the pulling. It seems very soft & lightweight when compared with the harness we had before, but the dog seems comfortable and not inclined to pull.
However, I’m not sure how long it will last, some of the stitching on the ‘sleeve’ began to come undone after only 3 days of use.

Our little pup still pulls using this harness but the strength of the pull is definitely reduced and by far the most effective we have bought so far for him! He is a dachshund so only has tiny legs, so many of the front looped harnesses get in the way of his little legs, whereas this one didn’t.

Wow!!- seriously impressed with this ridiculously cheap harness. I wasn’t expecting it to be so effective. It works like a dream on my Houdini lurcher who I could only rely on an expensive ” huff” double lock harness before. He loves it too it has padding under the elbows and anti tug. It looks cool- literally! And so easy to get on and off I can’t sing it’s praises enough!!

I absolutely love this harness. I believe it’s one of the best on the market. I have this in small, medium and large. I recommend it to everyone I meet who has difficulty in controlling their dog on the lead.
It is sturdy, easy to clean and fits well as it can be adjusted.
Only thing that’s frustrating at times, is the arm straps get twisted.

Our 3 year old springer has tried many leads and harnesses over the years to stop him pulling, being from a working bloodline his nose is to the ground and when he’s off he’s OFF!!! He’s only on the lead for around 5 minutes on our usual walk but it was a nightmare 5 minutes, today is our second walk and it has been a breeze.

Oscar has normally hated harnesses on and would try to get it off but this one isn’t bothering him at all and he’s running around with it on no problems during his walks!

This harness was bought replacing my previous one that my beagle broke because of her power. I must say when I first saw this harness I thought she would break it straight away but was proved wrong with its design that reduced her pulling by at least 80% which is fantastic and more enjoyable when going for walks.

Oh my gosh this is amazing! We have a 30kg dog who pulls like crazy. I’d bought many different popular ‘no pull’ harnesses and a popular figure of 8 to go over her head and muzzle which she hated and none worked! I doubted this would work also but wow! Even my kids can walk her now! We bought along with a bungee type lead and wow, no sore arms, no being pulled and a very happy doggy!

Really pleased with this. I’ve used a halti to walk my 42kg dog in for 2 years. He continously pulls and is really reactive. I switched to this and while he still pulls, but he is manageable and he was a million times happier in this compared to the halti. Fantastic comfy harness that does the job.

Absolutely brilliant! I have really been struggling walking my 7 month old pup and my 6 year old bitch because they both ‘take me for a walk’… today a miracle happened!! I only ordered the one harness and lead for now to see if it worked and boy it works!! My pup attempted to pull and stopped every time when he realised he couldn’t. Swapped it over onto my bitch and she done exactly the same! Need to order another one now. I got a large for an American Bully and Staffy x Mastiff

I have a staffy that’s 23kg of pure muscle and he pulls constantly.. after one walk of wearing this harness today he pulled 80% less than he usually does. I reckon after a little longer of wearing it, he’ll stop altogether. I wish I’d purchased this earlier.. if you have pulling issues with your dog, then get this harness now! I bought my boy a size medium which looked way too small when I got it out of the box initially, but it’s fits perfectly.

After walking a strong pulling Cocker Spaniel for 10 years this was recommended by a friend with a staffie, wish we had known about this 10 years ago! It’s easy to put on, comfortable for him and it does help stop the pulling!! We bought our first one a year ago from a pet shop and it was double the price. The first one is still going strong after twice daily use and regular sea swims!

Bought it for my 15yr old Jack Russel, it’s easy to pop on, nice touch is the little slider that locks on/ off when you hold it to adjust the harness so it stays in place across the back, if it’s been worn under a doing coat on small dog and the hoop is a little big to slip through.
The padded straps that goes under the paws slide a little when being worn my girl does particularly find them comfortable but a couple of hand sewn stitches holds it in place.
Overall it’s worth the money, suitable for all sizes.
    Sizing chart is accurate.

This is a replacement for the same one I bought 7 years ago which had frayed. It’s worn by my dog every day so I think the previous one lasted very well. It’s less bulky than some of the harnesses advertised and my dog doesn’t seem to notice she has it on and it doesn’t restrict her movement at all. It’s also easy to wash. Very pleased with it.

I have now bought two of these (the puppy chewed the first when I forgot to take it off!). Highly recommended – I have bought 2-3 other types, and she’s been able to back out of each of those. She has never backed out of this make, and believe me she has tried! The Sliding security cord lock is particularly useful – because she’s a mixed breed (mutt!) she’s an odd shape in places, and although medium, her neck is quite skinny.

I like this harness its simple and comfortable. Small was the perfect size to fit my lanky 22 week old pug. However it did not stop him pulling at all. He still pulls as much as ever although it does lift his front legs off the ground. Maybe it would work better along side some training.

Not a miracle cure as some other reviews suggest.

Great price, very pleased my dog can’t wriggle out of this one. Much easier to put on quickly with this one as it just slips on over her head once you work out which way it goes on it’s easy.
My dog seems very comfortable in it. I’ve had more expensive ones in the past but this is much better.

This is the third harness I’ve bought from this company for my dog (who is now nearly 9) – so each harness has lastest over four years, using it every day at least two times a day. She wears it without complaining and can leave it on for all her walk/run, just unfastening the lead from it to give her total freedom. Works brilliantly from the anti-pull facility. I also use it to attach a doggie seatbelt to for transportation in the back of the car, which again does not phase her at all.

This did actually make some difference to my dog pulling. But the long bit on top which the lead attaches to is too long for my dog to keep harness on when running around. This is good if you are keeping your dog on the lead but not so good to let your dog keep on once you take the lead off, it would get caught up and cause injury.

We’ve had it for a while now and it’s still going strong. I’ve previously used 2 head collars and 1 harness (over 3 dogs) and this is by far the most comfortable for them yet works a treat.

We have a young, strong labrador who always pulls with excitement on his way to the fields (he is trained to heal but that goes out the window on the way there). This works so well I can control him with 1 hand whilst pushing a pram with the other.

This design fits our dog and holds them around the shoulders so that when she pulls it’s easy to hold and control her.

Much better than trying a standard collar for walks.
Dog seems happy wearing it. Doesn’t stretch so not sure why it asks that in the review questions but it’s not supposed/designed to stretch.

I now have a rescue dog from Rumania and he is a fabulous little dog. He has had very little training and was really pulling on the lead. Tried this Sporn lead this afternoon and WOW. This is the second harness of this type we have bought. Our dog is 3 years old and she has worn the original one since she finished with the puppy harness. It is lightweight, sturdy and has fleece coverings on the leg straps to prevent chafing. The small toggle did loosen over time, but this is to be expected with everyday use for 2.5 years. We tried another type, but she really didn’t like it, so we stuck with what worked and will continue to do so. Oh…she did back out of it once, but the solution was easy…we added a small strap made by the same company which loops around a harness shoulder strap and clips on her collar ring. Even if she backs out…she is still attached.

I have a 1 year and 3 months old Malamute GSD whippet cross, she weighs about 35kg and as a 5′ 7″ 70kg woman walking her until this point has been a constant nightmare. With this, walking is no longer a case of getting pulled around and I can finally enjoy my walks with her. We tried the Halti nose loop which she hated wearing so didn’t last long, a training harness with two clips on the front and back which reduced the pulling a bit but it was still not comfortable, a head harness which she also constantly tried to get off.

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from this product, it appears lightweight and I thought my pup would be too strong for it. But it works! The pulling is reduced by basically about 80%, it’s still there but so much more bearable. I can’t recommend this strongly enough after so much money spent on different harnesses and so much stress.

This little harness is lightweight and easy to get on just make sure you know which way round and it goes!
One part over the head then step each foot in. Then draw the string to fit.
Great for a dog who doesn’t fit regular harness sizes. No wiggle room out of it.
Only thing is for our small dachshund once tightened there’s a lot of slack left which means it’s an extended to a lead but she can trip over it before we leave the house.

I bought the meduim for my Sprokador as she is good off the lead but pulls when on it. I was using an easy lead which went around her mouth but disliked it as it prevented her from opening her full mouth.
Used the anti pull harness and no issues at all now with any type of pulling would recommend this. I also purchased the large one for my Husky who tends to pull again was using an easy lead but disliked it and he could pull his body round when he wanted to get somewhere which made it difficult to control him. Use the anti pull harness again no issues with pulling and both dogs appear more comfortable using this harness compared to the easy lead.

Good harness, it stopped my dog pulling at first but long term I think he has just gotten used to it and does pull sometimes. It can be awkward to put on your dog, especially if your dog likes to bite the lead/harness as you put it on like mine does. You also need to lift their paws out to remove it, so be warned if yours likes jumping in mud or wees on their leg like mine does, make sure you have a cloth at the ready. Other than that it’s a good harness.

Iv not give it all full stars because if the security and sturdiness of the item

    As regards to sturdiness
Could do with being thicker on the straps that go under the dogs front legs

    As regards to security
It could do with another dog lead clip just in case it snaps
They do make them like that

We have a 1.5yr old borodor puppy
Shes strong for her age and no matter how we try to train her… She still pulls on lead

Shes pulled mine and my sons shoulder muscle as a consequence

    Anyway
Only use once before writing this review
    But
    It stops her pulling
Restricts the front legs so you can control the dog and not have a tug of war…

Took her on a long walk tonight and very enjoyable
Especially near the Road which is a nightmare with her trying to chase cars

    Not any more
    Came to road
Put her on full lock and walked nicely for once across road

Will be buying another one when she grows

The medium is a ok for a dog 5 stone which she is
Not much play in the body and is snug fit

Highly recommended for all the one armed dog walkers out there
Really does restrict pulling and passes control over to you

    As it should be

This has been absolute game changer for us. We have a whippet boy who is unbelievably bad at pulling on the lead. We’ve tried all the usual techniques (turning around, clicker with heel command and distraction techniques) but he’s too frantic as soon as he leaves the house. As soon as this is on him he’s reduced it by about 90%. You can still feel it a little bit. But prior to using this, it was killing our hands, shoulder and back. Plus he’s pulling so much he’s almost choking himself out. We’re back to enjoying walks again. Only minor concern is the front two straps seem a little flimsy. But it works!

Bought this to replace another one (different make) that had started to fray and had broken due to my dog pulling trying to escape hot air ballons that were flying over seems the old one was the wrong size to big.
This one fits perfectly and no signs of fraying (the old one had lasted 4 years)
I use this type of harness as it seems to be the only type that does have award push in pull out clasps they are to difficult and make a Lound sound.
The product photo makes it look as though it leather where the adjustmenters are, it is not ( so bit disappointed ).
Other wise easy to put on and take off.
    Will buy again when needed.

With a nearly 2 year old cocker spaniel who pulls regularly, I was finding walks more difficult each time. I had doubts that something this cheap and simple could help but WOW. Without exaggeration, it instantly worked. On our first walk with this harness the lead was slack and our dog was walking right by us without any force of strength, I was worried it would then hinder his ability to run off his energy in the field but that didnt happen either, once the lead was released from the harness it was like he forgot he was wearing the harness at all and when the lead was back on, he again came to our side and walked perfectly! I couldn’t believe the difference, so much so the owner of Sam’s twin has seen the power of the harness and she is now buying one for her cocker spaniel! I’m not one to write overly descriptive reviews but this had to be told on here! Its comfortable for the dog and a joy as an owner to use, unlike certain anti pull leads and collars, this is my favourite thing I have bought for Sam, would recommend to anyone who worries about walking their dog due to them pulling!

This harness is good as it stops my dog from pulling. I do have to say that it seems a bit flimsy but it’s quite sturdy. It can come off my dog if my dog is standing facing me and I pull the lead towards me, so I use an attachment to secure the harness to her collar.
The straps that go around the chest are thin and in my opinion they should be thicker, more robust.
The harness is easy to wash too and I soak it and it doesn’t rust or anything. I have been using Sporn non-pull harnesses for about 4 years now and it does the trick with my dog.

    Stops my dog pulling

So far, so good. Although the harness does look a bit “flimsy” both my Romanian rescue girls walk much better with them on. The girls are around 16kg a-piece so aren’t the smallest but I’m happy. So far, since delivery, have had three, much less stressed, walks. If there is an inclination to pull , it’s much easier to get on top of and my arm is not getting pulled from it’s socket the second they’re out of the front door. I would recommend theses harnesses

I bought this a sour dog was having an operation on his neck and would not be able to wear a collar for a while. It seems to be well made and the straps that go underneath the body are lovely and soft. Our dog is 30 kg and the harness was more than big enough for him. Also very easy to put on. Just a word to those who complain it doesn’t stop their dog from pulling. Of course it won’t! Think of what they put on Huskies to pull sledges – harnesses! There is no quick and easy way to stop dogs pulling. You have to put the time and effort into training them properly! Top marks for the harness but don’t rely on it to stop pulling!

Great item, the dog no longer drags me along on walks, the harness is great and worth the cost. It is easy to put on the dog and is secure. I would recommend this item to anyone who had a dog who consistently pulls when on a lead.
Item arrived before the expected delivery date

We have a Siberian Husky – this harness actually works for the most part, only when she sees squirrels and cats she pulls like she doesn’t have the harness on. Saw a change in the way she walks straight away.

So far so good, my dog is petrified of the many different harness I’ve tried. I thought I’d try this one, as it’s cheap and we’ve not tried it before and it doesn’t have any loud scary clips. My dog is always really nervous when a harness comes out, but was quite happy to slip his head in and have his legs through with only a minute of being “frozen” before he loosened up. I took it on and off multiple times and he seems happy to put his head in. I’ve had to order a bigger size though, as the leg straps are quite short on him, and he freezes most when I’m getting his legs through, I think because his legs have to be scrunched so much to get them through. Not tried walking him in it, as our main hurdle is normally trying it on!

We tried various different non pull harnesses for our staffy/lab cross, and so fat this is the only one we have stuck with.
He would strangle himself on a collar, and the numerous harnesses we have tried, including halti and a couple of others much more expensive than this, only seemed to be effective for a few days, this has lasted.
The dog in question is a rescue, around 2 years old, never been on a lead, and the attention span of a gnat(and about the same level of intelligence!).
    Definitely recommend!!

I first purchased one of these harnesses in order to try and stop my extremely nervous Shih Tzu from pulling on the lead. Unfortunately it proved to offer only a temporary resolution before she returned to her old ways. However, this harness has one great feature and that is the fact than in whichever direction your dog pulls the harness always tightens – this makes it impossible for the dog to slip out of the restraint. Overall a well padded and well designed harness that is humane to use.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy 18 week old black Labrador has began to pull using her collar and lead and I was beginning to worry about her throat and eyes. I bought this harness and quick delivery I adjusted it and popped it on her – which is so EASY to do. I honestly didn’t believe everyone when they said their was immediate no pulling with it. We just walked 2 miles with not one single pull from her and no choking or anything. Highly recommend this harness. It’s a god send!

    Best harness there ever is!

I didnt think it was going to work but it did.. instantly!! I have 2 border collies and the oldest (2.5yrs) pulls so much he pretty much drags me about everywhere!
I put the harness on him as soon as it arrived and when he began to pull i felt a slight tug of the lead and then he stopped and walked normally – I really can’t believe it.
I’m still yet to use this on a proper walk for any longer than 10 mins but I am so impressed already!
I bought another for my puppy (13 weeks) and he is very comfortable in the harness, he doesnt pull yet but i think it will be excellent for training.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this feeling very sceptical about if it would make any difference at all or the quality of it. My husky is really bad for pulling and often leaves my arms sore from holding her back! We have tried basic training which hasn’t worked and are starting more intense training for this but I wanted something to use while training to stop her pulling as much! First walk done today. AMAZING! She is still pulling but easy to control and a lot less power into it that she normally gives. Harness fits well and front bit easy to adjust. Seems to be good quality as well for the price. Padding helps with comfort for her but still not sure she found it that comfortable (but that’s kind of the point isn’t it…).

Sceptical when ordering but made a difference straight away!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHarness is easy to use and easy to put on my 8 month old pug puppy. It’s great for his chest and doesn’t make him wheeze like most harnesses do when they pull. The two padded bits that go under the arms seem to be comfortable for him but I have only used the harness 3 times so I will keep an eye for rubbing but so far so good. He hasn’t slipped the harness as it’s secure. The anti pulling part though is not an instant cure BUT his pulling is 50% better than it was so I am pleased with that, he’s walking to a tight lead not pulling like he was. With a little more training I think this harness is a good tool to help aid in the process of stopping pulling. I would recommend to other pug owners if they wish to reduce the amount of pulling and to reduce pressure on the dogs chest to help with easy breathing. The mesh part at the front acts like a bungee which is great so when my dog walks and goes to pull it is less jerky and much smoother. It also deters my pug puppy from over pulling. Overall 4 out of 5.

Helps reduce pulling and great for my pug puppy

Absolutely amazing! We’ve tried all sorts of harness’s, which stopped our medium-large dog choking him self but did nothing to help the pulling. Before this harness walks were a nightmare! Other people would grab there kids and dogs and avoid Wilbur because how bad he would pull constantly… he was a scary sight! Now our lovely boy is a lovely boy off and on the lead! ( who now is getting lots of attention From people who walk by) Honestly like a new dog, we can finally enjoy walks together! For the price too just amazing! Can not tell you how shocked we are!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe have a five year old Golden Retriever who has mostly been exercised off his lead from being a puppy and consequently when he has to be put on a lead he sometimes pulls hard especially if heading to his favourite beach! Our other two Goldens don’t pull at all on the lead. I decided to give a harness a try and not expecting it to be very successful was looking for a reasonably priced version.
Chose this harness and am over the moon with the outcome. It is very easy to put on, it is very soft around his legs and the first time I took him out wearing it he didn’y even attempt to pull, just walked calmly by my side. I totally recommend it and even if it doesn’t last long I will just buy another as it is very good value. No more aching arms when having to walk him on a lead – fantastic. I can now walk all three together with ease as middle dog no longer pulls.

Have tried on loads of harnesses for one of my Lhasas, but they fit into one of a few categories:
    – Force distribution from lead is too far forward
    – Harness to inflexible and/or heavy
    – Awkward to fit

However, I chose this simple version after seeing a US product which was quite similar. You simply loosen the toggle, put it over the dog’s head, step the two front legs in and slide down the toggle…. easy!

It is light, comfortable, cheap, easy to fit. Perfect for my dog.

I would add however that my dog is not a ‘puller’. If your dog is then you may want to look for something more heavy duty, but for smaller less lively breeds it is perfect.

I bought this as my Lhasa has to have a harness for after her cataract surgery. Some other harnesses still seemed to generate pressure around the neck which is what I wanted to avoid, but this one does not.

Ideal harness for a pulling dog that I have. This is the 3rd one I buy in 3 years, so has a life of about a year. Be careful when it wears thin, as my dog pulled the threads apart as it was crossing into the road! But it is good while it lasts!

Was so surprised by this harness. Sure, it’s no frills, but by gum’ it gets the job done! My 6y/o English Cocker has always pulled and pulled since my late father slacked on his training a little (big softie) and I’ve tried allsorts. Head collars were the closest I’d found to success. Thought I’d give this a go after reading all the positive reviews, and I’m so glad I did! What a difference! Just had the first enjoyable walk in ages! Honestly, give it a go, it’s only 10 and it might do wonders for you too. My only negatives with this: the length of the ring to the lead attachment is quite long, and, I do worry if with wear the harness might become less effective over time. Also, those underarm fluffy bits may become flat and perhaps become uncomfortable. But, its almost as cheap as chips so will be ordering another, just encase! Happy Spaniel, happier owner. Shame about the weather out there though… [for my adult male I bought the medium, and it fits perfectly with the straps tightened a bit]

As with other reviewers my dog has a real bad pulling problem that we haven’t been able to sort out with the usual advice. She’s a very lively Lab/German Shepherd cross and my wife would not walk her before we got this harness. I won’t say that she doesn’t pull at all now, but at least she’s walkable without a constant fight and danger of being pulled over.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI really like this product. I have been using one for the past 2 years and my golden retriever chewed it and therefore need to get a new one. I didnt have any hesitation to order this again. My dog used to pull very badly. But after starting to use this harness our walking has become very light and fun. Would recommend it to anyone. A good value product !!

My dog is an extreme puller so tried this, first walk on it was great as he didn’t like the tightening round him. But every walk since he is just pulling on it to the extreme that its so tight round his body. I can see it will work for some dogs but not extreme pullers

We have spent a fortune on different types of leads and harnesses to stop our dog from pulling, but to no avail. Bought this when Barney decided that his most recent harness was too warm during the heatwave, so made this purchase purely on the grounds of comfort, not believing for one minute that the “Non-pull” would actually work. However, from the moment we left the house, it was like we’d swapped our dog. I even allowed my grandson to hold the lead, which I would never have contemplated before. An added bonus is that Barney is happy to have the harness put on and it’s pretty easy to do. Don’t waste your money on more expensive models; this little cheapy does exactlly what it says.

I was recommended this by a dog behaviourist for my 10 year old newly-rescued JRT who pulled constantly with every turn whilst out walking .
My first impressions were it was quite a flimsy harness, but even on the first walk he was moderately better. By the third walk it was working brilliantly as it was definitely making him ‘self check’ his pulling every time the harness tightened. Now, with the addition of a bit of positive rewarding for a short time, our walks are much more of a pleasure than a workout !
He still has his moments but I would recommend this to anyone having similar problems.

It works on my Wheaten Terrier! She is one year old and has pulled on her collar until she’s choked and been sick. I’ve tried other harnesses but they have been poor quality and one very popular brand with a 9 in the title was returned 2 times as too big around the chest despite reducing the size and frankly a bit cumbersome. This is light washable and immediately stopped her pulling. I’m still sceptical but remain amazed.
Time will tell if it’s a long term solution. At the cheap price I’ve nothing to lose. I also got the Halti lead as recommended and the duo works a treat. Don’t use a flexi lead on a pulling dog. It’s painful for everyone.

Great harness for my Jack Russell Terrier, it fits lovely and the cushion lays nicely under her front legs. It can be adjusted easily to fit and my last one was regularly put in the washing machine (many fox poo moments) and lasted for many years. This harness is great to put under jumpers or jackets due to the lenght of strap left after tightening it up, it will fit through the holes usually found in dog garments. However, it does absolutely nothing to stop her pulling but is a great harness in its own right. I will always buy them!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this for our cocker spaniel – who pulls on the lead (yanking arms out of sockets) and is also prone to escaping her collars. This is very adjustable, and a good fit for my dog. It has not cured the pulling (she is not a well behaved dog so I think I was expecting too much) She is comfortable in the harness, she is not being choked and has not escaped since using it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI saw was unsure about the harness but decided to try it as our then 6 month old collie cocker puppy pulled terribly on every walk. He instantly stopped this from first use of the harness and it has greatly improved our walks. There is a short length of the harness where the lead clips on that lays down his side when he is off lead, this actually makes it easier to catch him and put him back on the lead and doesn’t seem to cause any discomfort when he runs like mad chasing balls. Recommended.

Like this harness, my 8 month old pup was terrible for pulling on the lead in previous harnesses and choking herself. While she still pulls slightly with this I can see a not difference and will continue to use.
Took me a while to work out how to fit it properly but fine once you get the hang of it.
