This product has allowed me to start using my bike which previously lay dormant in my garage. No complaints and the red looks sporty and stylish.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersBrilliant!
I use this with a heavy e-bike after an ankle injury, to allow me to keep moving during rehabilitation. The stand was quick to set-up (I used both the paper instructions and the set-up video on the manufacturer’s YouTube page), very straight forward. The stand has no problems supporting the bike and myself, it’s firm and there are no concerns about stability when getting on the bike, or during cycling. There is a reasonable amount of noise as the bike wheel rotates, due to contact with the trainer, but I watch TV while cycling and the volume is not a problem.
Delighted with the trainer and worthwhile investment.

Golden Review Award: 31 From Our UsersASSEMBLY: The assembly of this turbo trainer couldn’t have been any simpler. It comes with a manual which has pictures and instructions to help guide you should you need it. Truth be told you won’t need it, it’s that simple and can have it up and running in minutes.
STURDINESS: Once assembled the unit is very sturdy on level ground and with the front wheel placed on the riser blocks helps to level out the bike. The unit also comes with adjustable height feet x5 different levels should you need to adjust due to uneven ground.
NOISE: Please note, if you use a mountain bike or hybrid bike which has tread on the tyre it will be noisy. If you have ear phones in its not too bad and acceptable but I have mine setup in an outbuilding and not in the house. If you have it in the house then consider changing the rear tyre to a turbo trainer tyre or a road tyre. I have changed my rear tyre to a turbo trainer tyre since taking the pictures on here and OMG the difference is amazing, it’s so smooth and quite. Really pleased I changed it.

OVERALL: Overall I’m really happy with it and has got me using my bike alot more, built really well, feels sold with bike on it and when riding. Assembly was sooo quick I had it up and running in minutes.

    Great traine

This cycle trainer is a solid piece of kit and the bike can be installed and dismantled for road use in 60 seconds. A distance ‘travelled’ monitor would be a useful addition to the kit.

I found the instructions slightly confusing at first with regard to the quick release spindle which it said not to use, I briefly thought the set up would not suit my bike. I worked out how to assemble but the actual setting of the spinning cylinder is not very easy. Working well and linked in to Wahoo App with their bluetooth sensors for speed/mileage and cadence.

    Good Solid Equipme

It did exactly as it said on the tin. It was easy to assemble, sturdy and just as easy to use. I got the one with the resistance controller which saves me messing too much with gears. Someone with stronger legs might need to utilise both. It’s really helped me get ahead of my fitness before the warmer weather started. Best thing I’ve bought in ages. Very worth the money.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersIch habe mir Reifen ohne Profil zuglegt und mein altes 26 Zoll MTB eingespannt. Genau was ich gesucht habe.

Was a little bit awkward setting it up. As the wits of my wheel was too small I think or it was offset I had to extend nuts and bolts to the outside of the spindle that was supplied so it would actually sit bang in the middle of the flywheel

Got this as a Xmas gift for my girlfriend so she could ride her bike while we have our Canadian winter. She loves it! She rides on it up to an hour a day everyday. Noise level is very acceptable but keep in mind it does make some sound, don’t expect whisper quiet, it’s a piece of exercise equipment afterall. Setup and mounting her bike was super simple.

Good value for the money, recommended!

Sometimes I’m lazy, I don’t want to go outside, or it’s freezing outside and I really need to do some exercise for my sanity… This is perfect for me. I have it set up in the living room in front of the TV so I can just ride and listen to movies or whatever. Good motivator too since every time I see it and haven’t used it in a while I feel guilty lol
The noise level is perfectly fine for me, I just up the volume slightly on the TV and it works. It does however sometimes make some louder noises but is intermittent and rare.
My only concern at the moment is that it appears to be damaging my tire, every time I ride there is a bunch of rubber behind the bike. I’ve tried reducing the pressure on the wheel but that doesn’t seem to fix the issue. It’s not a huge deal but I will more than likely have to replace the tire before I start riding outdoors again.

When my husband and I who are both seniors decided to invest in a bike trainer rather than buying a dedicated exercise bike, we looked at various options. We finally decided on Sportneer bike trainer based on the overall reviews and features. Though it was a bit more expensive than similar products, we are glad that we decided to buy this model. After receiving the delivery, installation was quick and relatively easy. Once we started using the bike, we were pleasantly surprised that noise was minimal and completely acceptable. We like the mechanical resistance adjustment dial which helps us with high intensity training whenever we want it. We liked the product so much that decided to purchase a Wahoo Speed and Cadence sensor attaching to our bike. Using the app, we now have a complete history of our daily training with speed, distance and cadence readings for every session. Overall, Sportneer Bike Trainer has been a very good buy offering great value for money and we hope to enjoy using it for a long time, thanks to its excellent quality.

Having used it for a couple of weeks now, this product satisfies what its meant for. I does not take up too much space and does provide a decent enough workout. Depending on how you want to play it, it can be used to provide a more consistent stress workout that makes the real deal on the road a bit more easier.

The only drawback is that its pretty noisy, so put it somewhere in the house where its noise proof when the doors are closed (example a conservatory) and invest in a good noise cancelling headphone. Lucky for me, i had both so can make good use of the product thus far.

overall, very happy, especially with value for money.
assembly: easy and quick. sidenote: I am not sure why one is expected/supposed to replace the existing wheel centre; I tried it and my easy-to change wheel centre appears to be identical with the one part of the delivery.
resistance settings: straight forward, and seems to do the trick as far as I can see. I am not sure if it will be sufficiently “tough” for everyone on setting #6, but that’s an individual thing.

The only reason I “downgraded” the item is the noise: I am using it in a room with no carpet or other noise-reducing items and my neighbours initially – when walking past me on the pavement-were wondering about the noise coming from that room…
When you are on the bike, the earphone volume has to go right up in order to hear anything you are listening to, which in the long-term isnt exactly a good thing. Obviously, for people who dont want to listen to anything that wont be an issue.

The trainer is easy to put together and attach the bike to. It is good at providing consistent resistance and a useful alternative when I can’t get out on my bike. It is very quiet, I used it at 5am and no one in the house heard me cycling. The one minor point is there is no way of monitoring the distance you have covered.

I have never used one of these before, but it is sturdy and easy to set up – surprisingly so. If I had a complaint, it is that when setting it up the hinged part is not stiff enough and when setting up, this sometimes closes but as you’re trying to put the bike in the frame.
When using, the resistance adjuster does not seem to vary hugely, but by using the gears on the bike I managed to get a comfortable resistance.

This is a brilliant product, easy to fit on your bike, very well built , and very quiet in use. The people that say it is noisy must be referring to tyre noise. I have city slickers on my bike and it is so quiet.

I was worried it wouldn’t fit my newish gravel bike with a fairly long rear axle/wide seatstays but fit generously – I wouldn’t take too much notice with the way they’ve measured/sized it in the product photo. Just about any road/gravel/hybid bike will fit on this. Honestly better quality than I expected. The noise created is perfectly fine and I expected it to be much worse – however I think it would greatly differ if you had anything other than slick road tyres or a trainer tyre – anything with knobs or much tread will likely be too loud and will destroy the tyre anyway. When on a steady cadence on medium resistance the noise isn’t too bad at all, more of a hum, but once you’ve got the big loud fan going you don’t notice it much. However mine is on a solid concrete garage floor with a mat underneath I live in a unit but I’m fairly confident my neighbours wouldn’t be able to hear much at all – now if it was on floorboards and there were people living directly under/around you they’ll probably hear the vibrations. I’m using the near-slick road tyres that came with my bike while knowing the rear tyre is going to get destroyed but I’m upgrading to gravel tyres in a few months when the weather gets nicer/lockdowns ease for more outdoor riding and I won’t be using the trainer then anyway so my rear tyre has been sacrificed – I’m fairly heavy at 85kg and ride with a bit of resistance for up to an hour and the middle of the rear tyre has been worn down a lot – almost immediately – so definitely consider what tyre you’re going to use and if you can get a cheap/old tyre for trainer use. All in all, a great purchase for lockdown, perfect for your first/simple bike trainer, and the price relative to other entry-level trainers is too good to miss honestly.

This could not be simpler to get up and running, noise level depends a lot on tyre type, and it has a good resistance range. Although not a “Smart” cycle trainer which are very expensive, one can easily watch t.v or attach a laptop to give some entertainment while training.

I have used this several times now. I use it both for quick warm ups before I do weight lifting in my home gym as well as for longer cardio sessions. It was easy to set up, just took it out of the box and unfolded it, made a few minor adjustments on the tension for the axle saddle and tension wheel.

My bike has a quick release axle, so I used the skewer this came with. I am not sure if you can use this without a quick release axle but I would assume as long as the bolt can fit in the sockets on the stand it should be fine. I haven’t had any issues with it loosening or coming off yet. This also comes with a block for the front wheel.

I find the resistance pretty good, you can also increase/reduce it further with your bike gears. I don’t typically attach the tension adjuster to my bike handles as I move the bike around quite a bit/use it off the stand. I just leave it on the hardest setting and change gears when I want to change the difficulty. I don’t find it overly noisy, but I also only have “hybrid” tires which have pretty minimal tread. I am able to watch stuff on my tablet with a small bluetooth speaker and still hear it fine.

I will update my review if I have any issues with it.

Also last point is follow the instructions and it is so easy to put together even if you have low bike part knowledge.

This guy even told me i was affecting the whole street!!! Probably exagerating…
Must be due to those old houses with floor boards and poor insulation.
Will have to move away, with a little luck my next neighbors would not mind a daily 20mn session on my sportneer/

Purchased this to use on an MTB and have found it really easy to set up. It is supplied with a special quick release skewer that is used to lock the rear wheel into the trainer. I am using it with a Continental trainer tyre and have found the operation to be very quiet on all resistance settings.

This product is fine and would have worked perfectly. However, I failed to check that the skewer was long enough to secure the back axle of my wife’s bike to the frame. My wife’s bike is a 25 year old town bike bought in Italy and was not suitable for adapting to the equipment. The supplier’s after care has been excellent and I have no hesitation in amending my review as a result.

What a great product! Sure it’s slightly noisy but you’re biking in your home and the tires are rubbing against something to make the resistance so that would be expected. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest and the unit is sturdy and so well built. Took 5 mins and I was on the bike pedalling. The added bonus of the gears is a real treat and sets this one apart. Highly recommend!

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersRecieved it right when they said I would. The trainer itself is well made and well worth the price. It is sturdy and quiet, however your choice of tire will effect the noise level drastically. I normally have beefy 29ers on but swapped the rear for a 700x32c kenda road slick with appropriate size tube (on the same rim) and it’s amazing the difference in sound. Despite what some may say the adjustable resistance works really well. Happy I can still get my cardio and maintain this up coming winter!

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersI didn’t think that these stands would make a steady and efficient transition of the bike to a trainer – but I have been very pleasantly surprised. It is very steady and (I use it in our garage) very quiet. It comes with the ability to adjust the strength, but actually you can do all that with the normal gears on the bike. It only too a couple of minutes to set it up too. Very good.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersI must admit to not expecting much of this – however I’m man enough to admit that I was wrong!

When you get it out of the box you realise that it’s quite heavy, construction appears to be pretty good. You need to swap the rear axle for the one provided (which fits into the trainer), fix your rear wheel onto the roller at the back and then you are pretty much good to go.

Now I’m a mountain biker really (or at least I used to be, I’m getting on a bit and my knees are shot from doing martial arts for years). DO NOT USE THIS WITH MOUNTAIN BIKE OFF ROAD TYRES!!!! If you have big knobbly tyres on you can’t grip the roller and cycle smoothly, it catches for a bit and then your tyre slips, not good!! You’ll need to fit either a city slick or a mountain bike training tyre (I’ve fitted a Tacx Trainer Tyre to my rear wheel and it it’s really smooth).

There is an adjustable dial to change the difficulty of the roller (it goes from 1-6 with 6 being the hardest) and you can get to whatever cadence you want by just adjusting your gears appropriately.

I didn’t expect much, but I’ve been on it constantly for the last week with no problems – I really like it!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery good trainer and much quieter than our last one. Easy to set up and it’s all fairly intuitive, the settings give a good range of resistance and it’s not as wobbly as some trainers can be. My husband takes part in several Sportive and other events throughout the year and already cycles at least 30 miles every day in all weathers but it’s nice that he can use this in the evenings and watch a bit of telly and still get a few more hours training in without leaving the comfort of our living room. Good value and highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 110 From Our UsersI am especially impressed by the ease of use of this bike trainer stand. From opening the box to turning the pedals took about 4-5 minutes and set-up could not have been easier, particularly for a bike with quick-release wheels so no tools are necessary. It involved nothing more than replacing the quick-release axle from my wheel with that supplied with the trainer stand, slotting the bike into place and securing it a large lever clamp then placing the front wheel on the supplied non-slip wheel pad. Rear wheel resistance is set by adjusting the resistance wheel until it just touches the bike tyre and resistance is adjusted via a dial which clips onto the front handlebars.

Once set up, the bike feels completely secure with no wobble and pedaling is just like being out on the road. There is inevitably some noise from the rear wheel but even when used on a lino-covered suspended floor, it was little more than a low hum. Resistance adjustments via the dial were very effective and particularly noticeable on the upper three levels. It doesn’t include any sort of bike computer for calculating cadence, virtual speed or distance covered but should work with a simple wireless bike computer fitted to the rear wheel. The front wheel doesn’t rotate but remains held securely in a wheel pad with non-slip feet.

I’m not a sporty or athletic cyclist but a leisure cyclist who enjoys touring and occasional bike-packing, ie camping with my bike. I miss it during the winter months in the rain, fog, cloud and murk then every spring always feel unfit. This indoor bike trainer now allows me to use my familiar bike year-round, whatever the weather without it being an effort or time-consuming to set-up. The more sporty will probably choose to use it for speed-training and as an alternative to visiting a gym – so it is useful for all fitness levels and for any bike with 26-29″/700c wheels. When not in use it folds to a neat, compact size (56x46x16cm) and can be easily stored under a bed.

I consider it strong, sturdy, well-made, well-designed and good value for money. A good buy.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI was ready to be a bit snooty and critical about this bike trainer, as I know decent ones can be expensive, and the cheaper ones can be unsatisfactory. But I was delighted to find out this is a cracking bike trainer, offering good value for money.

I quickly learned that choice of tyres is important with this trainer. So knobbly off-road tyres are unpleasantly noisy, but road tyres are fine. I may even get some slicks fitted, which would make using the trainer even quieter.

Construction of the bike trainer is both sturdy and well-finished. There’s no sense that it’s cheaply made, or about to fall apart.

Initial set-up is straightforward, but it can help to have a spare pair of hands to speed things up. An axle-bolt is provided, which replaces the one in your bike, and locates your bike into the fits into the stand securely.

Once set-up for your bike, popping the bike on and off is quick and easy via the quick-release lever on the stand. There’s a wedge/locator thing for your front tyre, presumably to stop the bike rocking back and forwards.

Riding your bike on the trainer is a surprisingly stable experience, and I found I was easily able to get a nice rhythm going, adjusting the cycling load via a combination of the dial on the bike trainer (which mounts on my handlebars), and the gears on my bike, while keeping an eye on my heart-rate via my FitBit.

The manual suggests you use the trainer indoors, presumably assuming if the weather allows you to use it outside, you’d want to be out cycling. Personally, I’ve found using the trainer outdoors to be preferable, and riding away happily in my back garden with my earphones on, safely oblivious to the world, has been quite a pleasure.

All in all, this bike trainer is very easy to use and offers an excellent training experience. I’m delighted with it. If it ever breaks, I’ll buy another one. Highly recommended.

My son has been using one of these for a couple of years now but because it was so noisy when being used upstairs he had to use it in the hallway which was a bit of a pain especially as he does 2 hour sessions. This stand is much quieter, I can hear a very slight hum but after a few minutes you forget about it and it is unnoticeable. The stand is stable and ready assembled when it arrives, it takes only a few minutes to set the bike up and the same to remove it. My son uses a racing bike so his tyres are thin and they fitted snug. There is a control which is fitted on the handle bars to increase or decrease the pressure to simulate hills and inclines and downward cycling.

Golden Review Award: 880 From Our UsersThis thing has been a huge pain. It’s is VERY loud and shakes the walls in the room I have it set up in. I’m sure there are better options out there and maybe mine might be defective, but it’s too loud to use as intended. Too bad the time to return has passed, because I’ve tried to make it work for months and unfortunately it is a huge disappointment.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersAbsolutely great for a little over $100CAD! I know some people will say “It’s noisy!” but really that is more the fault of the trainer tire you choose and how tightly you make contact with it. Your bike would be noisier outside anyway. I’m using this with an old 26in Norco Bush Pilot (~2005) mountain bike with clipless SPD pedals. Once you have the bike in there tightly it is quite solid and doesn’t move around at all while pedaling unless you’re one of those people that throw their weight side to side to help them pedal.
I’d subtract half a star if only because I feel the front wheel riser could be an inch higher. I felt like I was biking downhill all of the time until I put an couple of scraps of MDF under it.

Golden Review Award: 127 From Our UsersI especially liked the ease with which the trainer can be assembled. It’s an excellent product in other ways too.

Note: this trainer comes with a front wheel riser block, which raises the front wheel of the bike. So don’t buy one separately despite seeing that one is “frequently bought together” with the trainer.

Golden Review Award: 543 From Our UsersThe setup for this bike stand is easy as it is pre-assembled and ready to go, entire setup to attach the bike took only a couple of minutes. The quality was much better than I expected, setting up was a breeze, and the unit works as advertised. For those who want to continue to ride but can’t during winter weather, this unit is affordable, is of high quality, and easy to set up. Resistance is adjusted with a handlebar mounted switch (lowest resistance 1, highest resistance 6), also by going through your bike’s gears also enhances resistance. To remove the bike you remove the handlebar switch, move the red handle which releases the rear axle of the bike, and off you go. I like this unit and would recommend it to others.
