Excellent padlock, worth paying the little bit extra for a good quality product.
I’m never a fan of keys, especially when multiple locations are involved. Takes a minute to set up the combination and the tumblers are remarkably easy to spin and set up.
Ok, but should have purchased larger size as number wheels are small
Really easy to set the pin before first use, small compact and well made. It is quite fiddly to use the combination wheels, due to how small they are, and that they have to be perfectly aligned to unlock. We have its larger brother the Combi 50 i think its called, and this lock is far more fiddly, however it does the job.
Id prob go for the combi 50 next time as its so much easier to use – even though its quite a bit larger and more expensive.
Nice heavy and secure lock. Easy to reset code as required.
We got the same lock style as the last Squire lock lasted so well (20 years) and the new one works even better.

YouTube shows a technique to pick the 4-wheel device. That won’t work on the this 5-wheel lock.
The shackle is a very hard 60mm Boron reinforced steel.
There is a screw at the top of the padlock that is used to set the device so that you can change the combination. But that only works when the shackle is unlocked. So no worries there.
The padlock is heavy and ‘muscular’ which is what some of us want.
I bought it for the above features and because I didn’t want to be adding to my bunch of keys. I thought that losing a bunch of keys would mean that I had to return home from hundreds of miles away and no access to my protected stuff. My combination of digits is a memorable sequence of numbers – and it does not resemble my date of birth. That’s securely stored as a safenote on my Roboform, in the odd chance that I forget.
The price is about 25% cheaper on Amazon, compared to purchasing from your fav DIY shop. I say buy with confidence.
Dial works easily. It is weather proof as described. The release button makes the lock look and feel locked even when unlocked. The only reason that I gave 4/5 instead of 5/5 is that the outer numbers at either end are hard to rotate with bigger fingers because of the raised casing. But that is certainly manageable. I would buy same lock again.
Bought this for our shed – seems pretty sturdy. The ‘number wheels’ turn without difficulty and it’s easy to set. Deals with English rain pretty well so far.
The lock has numbers on it so you can create and change as many times as you like. They are sturdily made, quite heavy. Also made so you cannot cut through lock to get at whatever you have used this for.
The lock is very sturdy but the dials are a pleasure to use and easy to move.
I now have three of these and when it comes to replace other locks I will certainly go with these.
The first lock I received I had to send back as I could not set the combination. The instructions were slightly ambiguous. Spoke to Squire who sent me another without problem and delay and checked the doubt in the instructions and it all worked well. The lock is fine and weather proof as stated.
Au cours des six dernires annes, six cluses diffrentes sont tombes en panne sur notre porte principale. Cette serrure n’a que 3 mois, mais elle semble tre de bien meilleure qualit que les serrures Master que nous avions achetes auparavant. Aucune des cluses prcdentes n’a dur plus d’un an dans les lments, mme avec un traitement rgulier contre l’eau.

Strongly built and does the job. Apart from that, the best thing about it is that it is very easy to read and to turn the dials. Love it.
Shackle is 6 mm thick boron steel, large enough to put off an opportunist thief but small enough to fit the kind of lockers you find most places. Superior to the same sort of lock offered by Abus because the boday has a closed shackle in steel rather than the more common brass lock body.
