My only complaint is the fact these headphones don’t light up using the 3.5mm jack so if you want that you have to use the mixer. This is my first decent headset tho and I am happy with it, what would’ve made this headset a even better sell is if it had Noise Cancellation. They are very very comfortable for long gaming sessions and I hardly notice they are there compared to my AirPods max which are very heavy after an hour of use. I would defiantly recommend this headset but do beware of the stupid dongle if you want the light up feature
The controls on the headset are easy and convenient to use. The LED light to indicate you mix is muted is a great feature to have. No more talking to myself not realising I’m on mute.
Being able to connect my phone at the same time means I can have game sound and music playing at the same time which is great for those more casual relaxed games.
The surround sound is great making it easy to quickly identify the direction of sounds. Great for competitive games.
Pairing them is easy and once done they automatically connect to both the Xbox and my iPhone as soon as I turn them on. Just set it up once and your good to go.
Yes they are pricy but definitely worth it if you can afford them.
A very comfortable gaming headset. A little on the pricey side but you can definitely feel the quality when you are wearing them. The software allows you to tweak the sound to your hearts content and change the colours to what ever suits your set up. The mic retracts into the ear cup, for when you just want to sit back and watch a film, YouTube etc without the mic getting in the way of your mouth. Highly recommended.
For gaming, the noise cancelling is great! Not only that, but the sound quality is great too. For a cheap price, you can get great value, if this would be your starter headset. The microphone quality is also good, being detachable as well.
Separate from gaming, this headset is also amazing! The simplistic, nom-gamer, no RGB LED lights features make using this headset outside of gaming work! With the detachable microphone, you can use this headset as if it were a normal headset. I don’t think I’d want to walk around my town wearing a techy, bulky, RGB-filled headset.
Conclusion, if you’re looking for a cheap starter headset that can work as well outside of gaming, and have a detachable mic, this is the perfect choice for you! You won’t regret it!
Sound quality is good, and the equalizer settings in the SteelSeries GG software is decent. The headset is well constructed and comfortable to wear for extended periods.
RGB customisation is OK; prism sync pre-sets work well with headset, keyboard, and mouse, but custom light profiles through SteelSeries GG software are temperamental for me with this headset – might just be a software issue.
Probably the best headphones I have had
Having gone through a few gaming headsets I can honestly say is the one, set up was simple, went to steel series website got software and no hassle installing, presets are very good and the overall UI for the software is 10/10, as for gaming it is a real game changer, the surround sound is outstanding, I will update review once I have gone through mixture of games but so far I am very happy with this headset. The mic quality I’m told is very good via discord, the headset is also the most comfortable and really feels like it’s been made with real care. 10/10 cannot recommend anything other headset steel series ftw!
Edit 10/11/2021
Ok so since getting this head set I can give a complete 10 out of 10 here is why.
I am PC Gamer and have been for many years, I have never had a headset that really captures immersion like this beauty, I have been playing DayZ quite a bit as of late and being able to completely know where my enemy is due to the excellent 7.1 surround sound really gives you the advantage, I have also used this headset for watching movies and listening to music and the pre sets for all uses is absoultely outstanding, if gaming is your thing and you are looking for a really good head set then look no where else.
Sound quality is crisp and well rounded. I can hear sounds I couldn’t before, while being to pinpoint sounds from all around me in 3D. Music streams sound like I have two stereo speakers beside me, I forget I’m wearing headphones.
The headset is very comfortable to wear. The cups are large and cover my ears well without crushing the outer edge. The material is soft and plush.
The microphone is clear and I have had no complaints on either team calls or online gaming. The noise cancellation is very good and things like my breathing or any other background noises are filtered out.
Well worth the 40 pounds I paid. They are large and I’m not sure that for general use while on the bus etc if these would be the best choice, but for home and work use they are ideal.
They also look great with my steelseries mouse, keyboard and mousemat. Go for it, you won’t regret it.
The headphone is comfortable and the noise is excellent.
I was looking for a wireless headset at first, but considering the lifespan of the rechargable batteries, I’d decided to go for a wired ones. I was browsing for days and decided this should be the right one for me, since there are so many diff brand of headphones out there with good reviews, so I took the gamble and bought this headphone. I never regret it. It’s really good for FPS games. U can really hear your enemies foot steps from which direction they are coming from. And as for music and videos, the quality is good as well.
Bought these because I read reviews you can wear them with glasses without pain – and it’s true! Never in all the time I’ve been using headsets have I been able to do so comfortably. Good audio quality. Not amazing at soundproofing but I didn’t need it for that. Really really happy with this headset and worth the money.
The game/voice adjuster thing on the wire is incredibly annoying and my only bone to pick with this headset. Seems completely pointless and just causes inconvenience. It can easily flip and turn the wheel against the table, leaving you accidentally muting your friends or your game. I’ll be honest, haven’t looked too hard into any settings to turn it off so I just taped it one position lol
For clarity, I have little frame of reference in terms of gaming headsets. Having only previously used a 20 pair of turtlebeech and another super cheap pair of amazon generic headphones.
These blow them out of the water obviously. I use them to play dayz and the clarity and directional sound is incredible.
The microphone is clear and the headphones are completely customisable using the SteelSeries software (I forget what it is called).
For the price these are a very capable set of headphones.
The only downside I can think of is that the cable is very very long. This obviously might be good for some but just kind of annoyed me.
I was a bit cautious about buying these but I’m so glad I did. They are very comfortable and the sound is pretty good. They are very easy to set up and there is alot of customisation options. Would definitely recommend.
This was my most expensive headphones I ever had, so I could be a bit bias on this.
* The strap above the head is amazing compared to a more solid design.
* 3 month in and I don’t see any wear and tear signs yet.
* Noice cancellation the best I had (again, my most expensive headphones I have so I don’t have a comparison).
* Very good audio quality.
Outstanding headset, honestly the best I have had and I have paid fair more for others. Really impressed and it would be the first company I would look at need a new set in the future.
Having the chat mixer in-line makes it easy to adjust in game but also is useful for watching videos because it allows for a slight reduction in sound volume without changing your pc settings. Slightly too loud on the video just give it a little tweak, return it to normal by setting the dial back to the middle.
I have some snazzy bose headphones and these compare favourably in all qualities.
These SteelSeries headphones are of brilliant quality. I originally had a really cheap unbranded pair I’d wear when watching my boyfriend play games a few years ago, and ever since I got into gaming myself, I never upgraded. The audio of that pair now cuts out whenever the wire moved, so I was in need of a proper gaming headset! Off the bat, you can definitely tell the difference, which I did have to get used to because it was new and strange to me.
I did have them plugged into the headphone jack to start with (with an extention I used for my old pair as the cable is quite short), but I noticed this didn’t allow the LED lights around each headphone to light up. I plugged them into the USB connector in the back of my computer and downloaded the SteelSeries Engine and the audio, again, improved immensely! You get a sense of surround sound, which is great when playing games where you need to be aware of your surroundings (my go-to games being Dead by Daylight and Apex Legends, so this is perfect). Using the USB connection, means you also have to have the ChatMix dial connected. I haven’t used this feature, but basically you can change the chat/game audio ratio mid game without having to minimise, so it is handy.
The real test was if they would be comfortable because I wear glasses – they certainly are! There’s no pushing or clamping on my ears or glasses frames, which I got from my last pair. There’s a head strap that can be adjusted which is also comfortable on the top of the head. If you were to start headbanging or something, these will fall off because they just sit nicely on the head with no tightness really.
The mic can be pulled out and pushed back in when not in use. I’m not sure how this wire will hold up because it seems quite flimsy. It’s a little annoying (you’ll want to pull it out before you’re connected to Discord etc or while you’re on mute) as I’m used to just lifting the mic up and down from the left side of the headset, although, I understand the design so it’s out the way. It has a red LED when it’s on mute which again is a little annoying because when it’s not in use I like to always have it on mute, but I can obviously see why that is a feature. I’ve been told compared to my old pair, my mic is so much clearer and crisp, so that’s a plus!
On the back left headphone, you have the mute button for the mic, as well as a wheel for the volume. When I first started using these, I would always wonder why the audio got so quiet. It was because when I picked them up from my desk, my thumb would knock the wheel! Since I realised, I try to avoid putting my thumb near the settings when putting them on, but I’ll also push up on the wheel when they’re on just to make sure it’s on max. The headphones twist, so if you take of them off and put them round your neck, they can sit comfortably. I don’t ever do this, so when I pick one side of the headphones up, it always rotates.
Overall, if you’re looking for a comfortable headset for glasses, these are definitely an option and the sound quality is amazing. I recommend downloading SteelSeries Engine for customisation such as the LED colour and all things sound related.
These offer everything I was looking for…I’m amazed how my favourite songs sound new to me, with extra sounds I’d never noticed before. What grabbed my attention after looking at so many others, was the fully adjustable head strap, which is fantastic. I’m new to gaming headsets so had nothing to compare them with except regular headphones but having let my daughter try this headset out, mine now lives in her room and her Razer Kraken Kitty headset is gathering dust. Now her boyfriend has this headset too – goodbye Turtle Beach. I can’t recommend these enough and find them incredibly good value for money.
This is the first time i bought a headset from steel series and i have to say im impressed and surprised normally i hear of brands like Razer and i was going to buy a razer headset but i seen the artic 5 headset and thought i would give it a change and i am very impressed the foam on the ears are very soft and comfy the sound is very good it picks up alot of small sounds like footsteps in games and more they are also durable and the RGB glow around the hear when wired to a PC is very nice and the mic jack adaptor for ps4 is very good and easy to attach and use
The ski-band headstrap allows great comfort especially during prolonged use, rests nicely on my head and the earcups feel nice as well.
The wireless connectivity is outstanding, almost no lag when connected and there’s a great sense of freedom when moving around the house without a wire connecting the headset to the PC, although it does lose signal when I’m downstairs.
Some great perks include the chat dial volume (alters voice call volume and game volume), bluetooth, reasonable battery life and microphone mute.
The sound quality is superb for gaming but for listening to music, maybe not so much, and this is the biggest complaint I have with this headset, especially given the price. A decent workaround is to mess with the equalizer settings in the Steelseries Engine software. I messed with the settings until I got a decent sound setting for music listening.
While I don’t use the headset microphone, the quality is decent at best. It’s not groundbreaking or professional but it’s enough for voice communication during gaming. The microphone is retractable, which is appreciated as it’s nicely tucked away without any interference.
Overall, it’s a great wireless headset and worth the investment. While I don’t use half of the features it offers, for my purposes it has served me well.
The microphone is great, it has a built in noise gate, so it doesn’t pick up every noise in the room. The audio quality of the microphone is great, my voice is very clear when i use it.
I can easily were these most of the day without being uncomfortable while wearing glasses as the cups ar made of a firm but forgiving foam.
Would definitely buy these again if i had to.
I have used this headset for about 3 months and love them.
I currently use them for both my pc and my Xbox. The sound quality is a about the same on both platforms but I have noticed on the pc when listening to other people they are quieter compared to when listening to others on Xbox one. Other than that no problems.
Listening to music is great too and the little chatmix dial is great when you want to listen to music only or the game/people only.
I do wish the head strap could be tighten just a little more but it is no issue. It fits comfortably on my head and the ear cushions are great especially if you wear glasses and after long hours of use. The cushions leaves enough room my ears to be free and not squashed into my head and getting too strained.
The on ear mute button is also nice and easy to find and knowing if the mic is muted or not is indicated by the red Light on the microphone is a nice touch. The microphone also retracts into the headset which is an awesome little feature.
Overall these are great, a bit pricey but I got them on a deal which is fabulous. After using them I can confirm they were definitely worth it. Fab quality and sleek design 5 out of 5.
Very comfy, light and sit perfectly around ears. Great sound on PC. Love them!
The build quality is great. They have a nice texture and feel comfortable on. They do not feel poor quality to hold. Maybe more on the large size than expected but they don’t feel to heavy when wearing them. The hideaway mic is brilliant as you can use them with your mobile phone and not look a wally. Again a tad big but worth it for the quality. If I had the money and knew the quality was better I would have probably gone for the top of the range but they cost around 250. The volume buttons on the earpieces can easily be knocked when putting them on and taking them off which can be a little annoying. Really cool that the mic lights up red to indicate it’s off. Really helpful when you need to tell the kids to shut up!! 😀
Battery life seems really good. You can use them with the USB cable plugged in.
I would recommend a soft case for storing when not in use. keeps dust off them and stops them from getting damaged.
No complaints from the husband. So they must be good
Bought for PS4 and eventually PS5. I moved from Xbox using a high end turtle beach to this headset on PS4. The headset is clearly built for PC, the dial used to balance Game/Chat audio only works on PC, so is fairly useless on console, which is something I miss about my turtle beach, and the lights can only be configured on pc, however that is to be expected. Another thing that you don’t find here is mix monitoring that allows you to hear yourself as you talk, which is a shame, as when loud noises are playing it can be quite confusing to also hold a conversation when you can’t hear your own voice.
However, the headset is extremely comfy, looks the part, and has a great sound and microphone quality. I don’t feel disadvantaged moving from a far more expensive headset to this one. Very good quality for money.
I was really impressed to find that even though I’d bought a lower end model, most of the compromise seemed to be in the cost of the materials rather than any real loss in functionality. His headset has metal parts whereas mine is all plastic, he can change the style of the cups whereas mine don’t pop out. I don’t feel like there’s any compromise in the mic or sound quality. His noise cancelling is better than mine I think but that’s not something that really bothers me and I might be wrong as I’ve just used it ootb but he’s played with all his settings.
The only difference in what arrived in the box was that the arctis 5 doesn’t come with the pop filter for the mic so I may need to buy one separately if I find I need it (haven’t so far)
On the whole we are both really happy, the products look good and they really feel like the manufacturer listened to users and thought of the little things that we actually want – unisex to mean unisex, comfort for long sessions, a retractable mic for when you’re still playing but want to quickly mute yourself and munch on a pizza without hitting it. For the wireless version the batteries are removed and swapped to recharge so the biggest drawback of wireless has gone, you can still play while you charge!
Edit: The next day after writing this review and more attempts to install the DTS system it worked!! I can say the 7.1 audio is amazing. So after a full product experience I will up this review from three to four stars.
Not quite as good on PS4, using the 3.5mm jack on the controller, sound though very good, doesn’t match the quality of using via USB on PC.
Microphone seems excellent, everyone spoken to on both PS4 and PC has said I sound very clear.
Particularly like the fact its got mic mute button and sound control on the ear cup. Super comfortable on the on head and doesn’t warm up ears too much like other headphones
– Very comfortable
– Sound quality is decent (not amazing)
– looks very good
– customisable using steelseries software
Cons:
– Audio sounds a bit tinny or muffled when gaming
– The mic quality is pretty awful
– you can find headsets with better quality audio than this at this price
Do I recommend?
I’d say if you’re looking for a decent quality headset that’s comfortable, at a reasonable price
and looks good, then this could be an option. I’ve been using it for a while now and it does the job, however I think I prefer my old Razer Kraken, the mic quality was better and the audio sounded better in my opinion. I was a little bit disappointed with these when I first got them but over time they have grown on me. I’d say look at other options first before committing to buying this.
The sound on the headphones is also superb, not as good as my Bose, but damn close.
If you want good clear sound and voice, you will not go wrong with these!
I had a cheaper Sennheiser headset for video conferencing. They were good sound quality but they were not comfortable or adjustable and kept slipping off my head. A friend recommended these which were on offer. After reading around I decided to go for it. Very comfortable (my main issue), nice retractable microphone and mute-on light, which is helpful. Sound quality is good. At first I thought they were a bit quiet, but you can adjust the online dial between game noise and chat. For conferencing I keep it at the mid point, but is good to be able to have the option if you are listening to media or talking to someone with less than optima sound. Glad I went for them.
Having said that, these headphones out of the box are shockingly dreadful. So much so that I almost immediately sent them back as they were so bad and thought I’d wasted 150. I gave them another chance and downloaded a 3rd party EQ application for them, and with the right settings, the difference is night and day. They sound so much better now, I didn’t even recognize them as the same headset. Baffling as why they didn’t include good software with the headset.
Would I recommend them? Absolutely yes, but with the caveat that they need some tweaking to sound like a pair of 150 headphones rather than the 15 trash they were out the box. The microphone is great for talking to your friends in-game but obviously wouldn’t be up to the standards of a professional streamer. They are comfy enough to wear all day and the battery life is very good.
The downside that still remains though, is that if you turn the bass WAY up in the EQ, you will get a lot of clipping with high bass in songs/games etc but tinkering with it to a level where it doesn’t clip still produces some very decent punchy bass.
If you’re a console gamer then there are 2 minor drawbacks for me. 1. The Wire going from the console to the headset can be a bit annoying. 2. The option to turn down or up the volume between chat and the game isn’t there. Other than that, the sound and the mic are brilliant and you won’t be disappointed.
– Decent headphone sound quality
– Great mic sound quality
– Comes with a dial to adjust between game and chat sound volume
– RGB Lighting
– SteelSeries software is nice to use
Cons:
– Quite a hefty price to pay for average sound quality from the headphones
Ever since the lockdown started (I’m in UK) I’ve had to attend meetings and lectures online which meant I would be using a headset for over 4-5 hours a day, so it was URGENT to get a proper headset and this does it.
I have been wearing it and the ski-type headband is the best idea I’ve ever seen. I can feel how the weight is nicely distributed and the padding on the cups is the perfect amount for me. It doesn’t press too much against my glasses and even though I need to do some tiny adjustment from time to time, I am overall happy and have not suffered from a single headache since I started using them (amazing).
Sound-wise, I am a bass-head and I normally would listen to music through my SkullCandy Crushers with bass enhancement, so this ones being more real, pure sound, do sound weird to me, not in a bad way but simply different. However, the sound is quite involving thanks to the virtual 7.1 sound system so if you’re not a sound purist (or if you just wanna hear the music / sound of your game sharply, these will do nicely.
I do like the pick-up range of the mic, because it will pick up my voice even if I decide to mutter, but it won’t pick up other loud noises occurring nearby such as strikes of my mechanic keyboard (which is quite loud) nor my dog barking next to me (as long as it is not a very loud bark). My classmates have reported to hear me sharply and comfortably.
The Game-Chat system seems a bit pointless to me but just because I don’t give it much use (I prefer single-player games where chatting ain’t that important and I usually don’t speak while playing), so I cannot say much about it.
I would like it to have a longer Jack 3.5 cable extension as it is surprisingly shorter than the USB one, and I dislike having such a short cable wondering around. Losing this bit will probably be unavoidable long term if you’re slightly messy as am I.
The external design of the headset has me mesmerized. The feeling is sturdy even though it’s plastic, but also smooth and the matte finish makes it look elegant while still having a nice gaming touch with those RGB circles. There are buttons on the left ear cup, but as I have disappointingly realised, the mute unmute button does not sync with Zoom (it doesn’t even recognize it as a key if you try and modify it from settings). I haven’t tried it with discord yet though. The other thing that could be nice is an option to turn the RGB off if you feel like it, but this is not vital and I don’t even have a huge preference for it, but it would be nice to have the option anyways.
The little wheel below the mute button on the left ear cup is smooth, but doesn’t run on her own. It regulates the volume as well as the Game-Chat wheel that comes attached to the USB connection cable. The wheel itself feels a bit more plasticky than the rest of the set, but it runs smooth, although a tad too smoothly imo, I’ve accidentally lowered the voice because the cable moved and I touched it with my arm.
Last comment: the retractable mic is comfortable, but I am sceptical and I feel it a tad soft, making me think that maybe I would not fiddle too much with it if I want it to last long. I hope that time proves me wrong!
Overall, I recommend this, particularly, if you have issues with headsets due to glasses or due to pressure feeling on the top of your head because of the weight of it. I also recommend it if you look for a nice involving sound that it is not too bass deep.
This headset, in my opinion, has a lot more “personality” and bass than the Cooler Master headset which in comparison were really bland. If they are fully functional for you then i totally recommend them for gaming etc.
The comfort on these is excellent, I have the akg y50’s and the cooler master amongst others but because of how big they are, I have found them extremely comfortable for long gaming!
Great headphones, solid sound quality, good price. Software is easy to use and has a lot of things you can tamper with to perfect the sound for your liking. You can also set different presets to different apps/games/etc. so I can have a preset that loads when I play some games, and different when I’m watching videos which is helpful.
Loses a star because they can be a bit uncomfortable after wearing for long periods of time (not much padding between the plastic of the speakers and your ear), and the 7.1 surround doesn’t sound as good as others I’ve tried (still good, don’t get me wrong, but I’ve heard better for a similar price). Mic is also not good at all. Tried it in Discord and it sounds like a 2008 Turtle Beach mic that you’d use on xBox. This is common within headset mics though so can’t fault it too much.
All in all a good product, certainly good value for money if you want it as a nice pair of headphones that’ll sound good whilst gaming, as well as watching videos and listening to music.
After owning a pair of wireless turtle beaches which packed up within a month I was a bit skeptic although of how well these would perform, but I’m not disappointed.
Sound quality is good, I’m no sound engineer but these work great and I was able to tell roughly what direction an enemy was coming from just from footstep sound on CoD, I can also hear friends clearly in chat and have yet to have anyone complain about my mic quality so I think it’s safe to say the mic is good too. You can buy Dolby Atmos through an app on Xbox store too if you want a change of sound which I have tried out on a free trial and it made a minor difference to the ‘out of the box sound’. Work really well with music too.
The pads are comfy and I can play for a long time without needing to remove the headset. Buttons are easy enough to use but do take some getting used to to make sure you don’t knock the volume rocker switches when taking the headset off etc. Battery life isn’t too bad either.
On to the bad bit..
Since owning the headset (approx 2 months at time of review) I’ve experienced a few cut outs of audio, I only sit about 2 1/2 metres away from my Xbox so I don’t think it’s a distance issue or a WiFi overlap issue. The only thing I have noticed is it usually happens when the battery gets below around 50%. But it’s that inconsistent that I don’t believe it’s a fault with the headset (yet).
Overall I would recommend these for anyone looking for a wireless gaming headset that’s actually pretty decent, gives you a slight advantage, couples up well with music, comfy and has good battery life and connects quickly with your Xbox.
Also check the reviews and which model people review, so many are on the Arctis 7 giving it bad reviews even though they’re listed under the Arctis 9x.
good mic quality
good sound quality
a lot of control over volume and balencing
mic doesn’t pick up headset speaker sounds
Cons:
feels a bit heavy so can get unconfortable after a long session (around 4 hours; small break and movement of head set seems to fix)
leaves noticable headset hair
some time ears get too hot
sound changes when turning head (gets loader and quieter in either ear)
I think that this is a good headset over all. The cons are not bad enough for me not to recommend the product personally, as most of them can be solve with minor adjustments and a small break every now and again. I wear this headset for probably at least 5 hours everyday and haven’t though about returning it or getting a different one.
Very good quality, great for gamers great mic quality recommend this
Microphone is suprisingly good according to my friends (better than the blue yeti!), and the quality of audio is MUCH clearer than my old audio technica m20 headphones.
10/10 would recommend.
I wasn’t disappointed; they are extremely comfortable for long periods of time, for that special WoW or LoL sesh, the sound quality is fantastic straight out of the box, however, it does improve if you install the software for them.
**POINT OF NOTICE** – when I bought these, the microphone was muffled and made me sound like Sean Connery, this is normal behaviour for these headphones straight out of the box. Simply go the sound setting, recording devices and set the quality to 48000HZ (studion quality), clear the quality up to perfection. Hope this helps someone.
Buy the headphones!
When the package arrived today I unboxed it but didn’t post a video. I downloaded the Steelseries Engine and pre-installed it. Connected the in-chat volume mixed and headset. The cable is longer than most, which I find really useful.
Anyway Windows 10 automatically set up the headset, then I opened Steelseries engine and connected the headset usb into the motherboard usb. A warning message appeared telling me I had to download an app to get the headset working correctly, went to the page in the message link, closed steelseries engine and then restarted the app. Message gone and all options available.
Yes the setup is a little fiddly so take your time.
Putting on the headset the ear shells are over ear and fit great and are comfy, the left ear shell has the volume control and mute mic button which is handy. To set up the headset I put on a couple of mp3’s so I could adjust the volume and presets, enabled DTS 7.1 surround and wow what an amazing sound, it doesn’t mess with music as the software has a setting for 7.1 gaming and stereo music / audio. Put the sound compression to medium and pure quality sound. Stopped music, started Battlefield 5, 7.1 surround sound is very good, excellent in Division 2 as well. Mic quality is great and the mixer does work well especially when using discord voice in noisy battles.. Yes I do recommend these Steelseries Arctis 5 Headsets and I think the price is worth paying.
Separate sound control makes changing between voice and he sounds a breeze.
Very comfortable for long term use also.
Sound Quality = 5/5; better than previous headsets used such as Astro’s and Razer Kraken’s.
Packaging = 5/5; simple, easy to open and effective branding use.
Price = 5/5; extremely fair price for the quality received, much cheaper than other brands who have lesser sound quality.
Design = 4/5: sleek design, love the RGB on each earpiece, an improvement would be if this was customisable. However, this design feels hefty and therefore does not feel cheap and plastic like, compared to other headsets in the market.
Overall, an extremely enjoyable headset to use in general and for gaming.
comfortable to wear
good quality microphone
surround sound
chatmix dial (really useful)
rgb
cons
microphone keeps on having issues
rgb not that customisable
chatmix dial light is too brigh
Sound is clearer at louder volumes, bass exists (previous was flat) – virtual sorround is good (previous had true 5.1)
Retractable mic is a plus.
Overall a great purchase, very happy.
