The Graduate model is carved from solid tonewoods and features ebony fingerboard and pegs which allow comfortable playing and give excellent stability. It is fitted with factory synthetic gut strings to enable an improved sound. It features a carved spruce front and maple back and ribs, adding to this stunning instrument. Il violino uno stentor originale, io l’ho preso di colore viola ed davvero magnifico! di un violetto come da foto ma luccicante perch il colore metallizzato. Mia figlia ne andr matta. Ha la sua custodia e pure la pece. Davvero meglio di quanto mi aspettassi!
Ci ha messo poco meno di 1 mese, quindi prima del previsto ma valeva la pena aspettare!

I really love my new Stentor 2 it sounds good and looks good and is easy to tune. Stays in tune. I also really like the case and the bow works good too. Don’t forget to detention your bow after playing to prevent pringling. Also every violin player should wear musicians ear plugs and concider buying a practice mute. I would reccomend this intrument to friends. Saticefied with my purchase.

An sich eine gut Aussehende Violine, jedoch sieht man auch die Klebestellen, aber dies ist ja jetzt nicht so schlimm da es zum lernen gekauft wurde.
Das Problem eher ist, dass als es ankam eine Saite gleich kaputt war und ich Ersatz kaufen musste.
Bei so einem Preis wrde ich mir wnschen nicht gleich Ersatz kaufen zu mssen.
I’m an adult learner and before this violin I went for the cheapest on the market. That was a huge mistake. As a beginner, making beautiful sounds with your violin is almost imposible but having a decent violin helps a lot to fall in love with your instrument. I’m so happy with the quality and sound of my Stentor II, stays tune for much longer, it’s beautiful and the sound is much much nicer than my cheap violin. Definitely worth the investment.
Very beautiful instrument. It’s my 1st violin ever and I’m super happy with it.
Just make sure to get a proper rosin (this one can go straight to the bin), and replace the strings. These ones are very steel – like and metallic (not to mention they snapped on the first tuning).

Very good for beginners and has everything you could possibly need. However, the reason I have not given 5 stars is due to the violin not being tunes. This us only a minor inconvenience as this is a learning lesson for beginners.
My son is about gr 3 and this is a great violin, I am will also be buying a 3/4 for my younger child
Received it quickly, but the surprise was that the bridge was not installed. I don’t understand if it fell during transportation or it should be without bridge… So, unfortunately can’t try to play something and no comments about sound, case very nice.
In the end I settled on the Stentor 2, as I felt that the music played in all of the videos using the Stentor 2, sounded slightly smoother and a richer in tone, than when played on the Stentor 1. Violins can sometimes sound like a bag of screeching cats to begin with, so for both our families sake, and that of our neighbours, I felt the less scratchy the better, and I have in deed found this violin to be much smoother and nicer sounding than the rubbish one I had back in school.
We found the violin tuned up very well, first time around. I asked my more musically experienced other half to tune it for me, so as to make sure I was starting out with the correct notes. He used an online violin tuning video and his musical ear, and didn’t have any trouble or break any strings – apparently the trick is small, slow and steady turns, and to use the fine tuners, so as not to put too much strain on the strings! I think spare strings would have been a good extra in the starter package, especially for the beginner, as it’s quite easy to break the strings when tuning if you haven’t done it before.
I’ll be investing in a digital tuner that attaches to the body of the violin for a more accurate tuning (D’Addario PW-CT-14 NS Micro Violin Tuner) for when I have to re-tune the violin by myself. I will also be purchasing a decent shoulder rest, at the minute I’m using a folded tea towel as padding during practice – I had forgotten how much violins can dig into your collar bone!
One other thing that I will mention, is that there are better quality rosins available to buy, such as Sartori resin, which is expensive but it lasts for years. The one that comes free with this Stentor 2 violin is ok, it makes the bow work, but there are better quality rosins out there which is important for sound quality. At a later date, as I progress, I’ll probably invest in a set of better quality strings – such as D’Addario Prelude 4/4 Scale Medium Tension Violin String Set, to replace the ones the violin came with, though I think they are fine to start off with.
All in all, for a relatively cheap starter violin, the sound is nice, it tunes up well, it arrived quickly, and it looks good. I’m very happy with my purchase.
Recommand par mon professeur de violon, j’ai achet cet instrument pour mes premiers pas au violon.
Et comme il me l’avait dit, Un petit tour chez le luthier pour retailler le chevalet et changer les cordes tait plus qu’indispensable pour le rendre apprciable, cot non ngligeable et trs variable.
Aprs toutes ces modification s apportes, il se trouve que l’instrument est plutt intressant et agrable au jeu. Un bon compromis pour dbuter car un violon dbutant chez un luthier coute 3 fois plus che r (souvent des stentors amliors d’ailleurs).

I bought the violin nearly a year ago. Started from a complete beginner level. I’ve been playing it for nearly a year and it’s a great instrument. It was recommended to me by my teacher. It has nice sound, it comes assembled (needs tuning).
It’s great for a beginner and intermediate student.
Before buying the product I was a little apprehensive as it is not cheap. But now that I’ve been using it for a few months allready, I definitely recommend you buy this violin. His voice is very beautiful and pleasant and I really enjoy plaing on it.
While it would have been more perfect if he had come with a violin tuner, it still doesn’t take away anything from the positive feedback I give him

Estaba esperando mas tiempo para calificar este producto pero me dej con un muy buen sabor de boca, el producto lleg entro y sin algn problema en cuanto a la fecha estimada, ahora en cuanto violn es un muy buen producto un buen sonido, buen acabado (al, menos el mio si llego con buen acabado) e incluso una ventaja de la metonera (barbada) al ser semi centrada podras pasarla al lado derecho por si eres zurdo (soy zurdo y no tuve que buscar una para zurdos) algo que cabe de destacar es que si puedes cambiar la brea y las cuerdas por otras… Lo hagas pero con tranquilidad, el motivo de mi compra fue para tocar con grupo y tenia mis dudas de como se comportaria al tener un micrfono a lado pero al parecer cumplio con su trabajo.. Si lo piensas comprar para iniciar e incluso quedarte con el un buen rato para ser un violinista nivel medio (de los que salimos a tocar a la calle) es una excelente compra

My son has been learning to play violin at school for about 4 years now. He’s had a beginner’s violin that was pretty basic and he wanted to go on to something a bit further up the scale. He asked for this one as it was recommended by his tutor and it does have a lovely sound to it. He finds it easy to tune, and the quality is lovely. The case is extremely robust and it is lovely instead. Lovely instrument that won’t break the bank.
My daughter loves her new violin. I researched and found out the Stentor is a good make and this was the cheapest by far. The case is lovely too. It was packaged well.
My daughter loves her violin and we got it for a very good price. Although she was devastated when she tried to put the bridge on and it snapped, even before she was able to tune it.
No soy ningn experto en lo que se refiere a violines, sin embargo, con una semana de uso puedo decir que se nota que el instumento es de calidad. Sin embargo las cuerdas por ejemplo no son tan buenas, se me rompi una sin razn aparente al tocarlo la tercera vez, as que tuve que ponerle las Dominant que le compr en caso de rotura.
La verdad es que desde entonces la experiencia ha sido maravillosa. Buen sonido y buena respuesta. La resina con la que viene es dura (oscura) pero slo he usado una blanda (clara) que le he comprado aparte.
No puedo juzgar el arco porque slo he tenido ste y no sabra decir si es bueno o malo.
En general, el instrumento se siente slido y duradero. Me lleg sin marcas. La funda en la que viene es ms que til (y bonita). No es el mejor violn del mundo, pero por un poco ms de dinero invertido en cuerdas y resina, resulta ser el mejor para principiantes.

Bought this violin for my husband who is learning to play Scottish fiddle. He was happy with it at first as it was. Then bought new strings, new bow and rosin. He is even happier now. Although he was a bit unsure of the quality at first, he asked his teacher to play it who was impressed with it as a beginner instrument. It also proved to him that this violin can sound very good when played properly. So it gave him confidence in the violin being up to standard. He said to me he can’t blame the violin for his screeching and scraping. He has improved immensely since then.

Il violino arriva contenuto nella sua custodia, anch’essa ottima considerato il prezzo, dotata di tasca piccola frontale, ideale per accessori quali poggiaspalla o altro, e una tasca grande, adatta a contenere libri o spartiti. All’interno, oltre al violino, coperto con una protezione sintetica, troviamo la cinghia tracolla per la custodia, l’archetto, e la pece, contenuta nell’apposito vano.
Quando si acquista uno strumento ad arco, il pi delle volte arriva ancora da preparare: le corde sono lente, ed il ponte deve essere installato. In questo caso invece il venditore, Reidy’s Home of Music, invia il violino gi preparato e pronto per l’uso (ovviamente, dopo l’accordatura, e dopo aver dato una passata di pece sull’archetto).
La spedizione, anche con Prime, impiega qualche giorno in pi rispetto ad altri prodotti, ma questione di un totale di 4 o 5 giorni al massimo, e direi che il prodotto vale l’attesa.
Infatti lo sto utilizzando da qualche settimana, cos come arrivato, e sta risultando pi che sufficiente per chi si avvicina per la prima volta allo strumento. L’accordatura non risultata particolarmente difficile, con l’utilizzo di una applicazione gratuita tra le tante disponibili sugli app store dei cellulari, ed anche per le sessioni successive risulta mantenere piuttosto bene l’accordatura.
Come prossimi passi, intendo provare a cambiare la pece, e successivamente le corde, poich ho letto che in entrambi i casi si ottiene un buon miglioramento a livello qualitativo, ma per adesso non posso confermare che lo studio procede, con buona soddisfazione, con il prodotto cos come arrivato, senza spendere altro. Pienamente soddisfatto.
very very good choice for a beginner, i did have problems with using the rosin but that was down to me not knowing what to do, at first i did have problems with the strings and accidentally broke one (my bad) but once i had the strings replaced they seemed to pick up the bow a lot better than the previous ones it comes with, other than that, sounds amazing
