A good game over all, but very different if you were hoping for a slightly more traditional Final Fantasy game. Haven’t completed it yet but the graphics are fantastic, not overly enamoured with the world map – it’s all teleporting and no running around like in previous games so it feels very structured and directed. I think if played a a stand alone game it’s great – being able to modify outfits, equipment’s etc is really good however you end up overrun with pick-ups as you go which is new. A good game, but as an old school Final Fantasy fan expect it to be very different.

Quality Characters and storyline. I dont know how far i am through it yet. Been holding off till i have some hols but impressed so far…

Interesting character progression and can really mix things up to suit game play style and preference. – Although i was fearing this would be yet more delay for the already drawn out and protracted Final Fantasy VII remake – Part 1 was good – but not long enough – And the wait between games gonna be whole generation that played the original are going to die before we get to the end !.

This game helps pass the time while we waiting though =P

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcellent game. If you have played FF7 remake you will have a good feel for the game.

The game offers a lot of variety through the numerous roles you can assume and develop.

The difficulty is not high (especially on story mode) but can get very challenging should you choose to play at those levels.

The main game is a remake of the original JRPG game but I wasn’t aware of the original so found the game really interesting. The story really opens up and makes sense right at the very end. I won’t spoil it but it is a tragic story – in my opinion.

Should you wish to ‘just do the story’ and choose the easiest level then the game won’t last more than 20 hours and I feel if you abandon it there you really miss out of the full depth of this game. Developing the characters and their various roles/jobs and challenging yourself to take in the more difficult levels really brings it alive. There is so much here – if you are willing to invest the time.

Over all score is 6/10 if you just play the story at the easiest level but 8.5/10 if you immerse yourself.
