About product use：
If the target cannot be detected, the factors may appear:
1. The target is too small or too deep. To detect deeply buried targets, the sensitivity of the product needs to be increased.
2. The target object is too large. Need a certain distance between the coil and the target.
3. The search coil move so fast. You may miss the goal.
4. Do not sweep the search coil like a pendulum. During or at the end of detection,raising the search coil will result in erroneous readings.
If the gold detector does not stop beeping:
1. Interference with micro elements in highly mineralized ground areas. You can reduce the sensitivity.
2. In areas with more metal debris, you can use the DISC Mode to select the target you want.
3. Keep electronic products or metal products away from the search coil. It will interfere with the metal detector.
If the metal detector cannot identify the target:
Sometimes, oxidized metals can cause the target to shift. Arrows and tones reduce sensitivity to eliminate detection of deep targets.
Note : If you are not going to use the device for a week or more, remove the battery. Chemicals can escape from the battery and destroy electronic parts.

A great detector that doesn’t cost the earth ,easy to use ,well balanced and with a good degree of discrimination so you can eliminate a lot of rubbish ,find coins at depth pin pint function works well . Highly recommend for anyone starting out on detecting.
If you’re a beginner or even a seasoned metal detector, this will give you pretty much everything you need to get out there and start for treasure hunting. The metal detector is really nicely made, it works nicely and gives you an accurate idea of what is in the ground before you dig, so you don’t have to waste your time digging up garbage, unless of course you’re wanting to do that.
I bought this for my 8 year old grandson for Christmas and he loves it although it did take a bit of getting used to the different beeps and what they mean.
It was very simple to assemble and is light enough for him to use and although he hasn’t found any treasure yet he has found a few coins so heres hoping.
I got this for two reasons, to play treasure hunting with my son in the park and to search for historical coins in the fields. I’m pretty impressed with it so far. Good value. Setup is very easy, assembled it without instructions. Lightweight so it won’t be a strain to your arms. The beeper is loud enough in most environment but in windy days, it was hard to hear. Headphones is needed.
While this is a little above 100, it is relatively on the cheap side. The depth it can detect metallic objects won’t be as good as the more expensive detectors. I think the deepest item I found was about 4 inches, a Fanta can. The depth is dependent on the type of object and size. Personally speaking, for beginners, this is ideal. At some point, I will consider a more professional detector. I did contact customer service for additional info, quick response and info very helpful. So, you have that just in case.
The Sunpow metal detector is well made, easy to assemble and after some playing around easy to operate. It is way to adjust for different family member heights. It fits well into the carry bag.
Fir beginners like we are, this is great. So much fun taking the dog for a walk on the beach and found some good stuff with this. Would recommend

It really works !! I’ve never used a metal detector before but always wanted one so thought i’d get this one because the price was decent. Just tested it in my garden and straight away it detected a piece of metal that was lying around hidden at first.
Would recommend for beginners like me. I am really looking forward to taking it on holiday and having fun with my 11 year old on the beach with it.
I bought this metal detector for my 14 year old boy.
We’ve only had it a day but have assembled it and tested it out.
Assembly was very quick and easy and it seems to work well.
Probably the correct choice for a beginner.
The detector comes with a case and a small metal spade, the only thing needed are x2 9volt batteries which can be purchased in most supermarkets and electrical / DIY stores.
The instructions are clear but it’s worth going on Ytube to watch footage of it being used correctly and to its full potential.
Super lightweight and easy to assemble instructions make it easy to operate can’t wait to get started

This metal detector is a real find: good price, sturdy item once assembled (and the assembly is easy.) Took out for a go straightaway and was not disappointed – didn’t find a lot (and nothing that I can sell to the British Museum) but it certainly finds metal!
My husband and my son took up metal detecting as a new hobby .
. I bought this metal detector for my son and I bought a more expensive one for my husband as we was trying different brands makes and models … My 2 daughters ended up enjoying the hobby so we purchased again another 2 for them different again ….

We had few goes on the seaside and it was just great fun. We didn’t find anything exciting beside of the scrap stuff but fun was there. We had maybe 5% of all false alarms but apart of that all good. Comfortable to hold and adjustable from adult to kids size. Big disc as well.
Was good for the price it but is hard to pin point where the signals are coming from
I am so happy with my new metal detector. It’s absolutely brilliant. It was easy to put together and I really like that it’s lightweight. The setting on this are really easy to understand and I love the fact that this model gives you an indication of what you have found on the display screen. I also really like that you get a bag with this because it makes it so easy to transport until you get to a place where you want to use it. The shovel that you get with this is really good. It’s not a flimsy one so some of them that you might get. It’s very durable. Me and my foster child are really looking forward to going out with our new metal detector and in his words, to find lots of treasure. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is thinking about purchasing a metal detector.
To date, we’ve used it in anger twice and while we haven’t found any Viking treasure yet, every time we’ve stopped to dig, we did find something metallic. The unit gives off a different tone for different metals and the display gives an indication of depth and composition too. This is really useful when deciding when to stop and when to move on. The sensitivity can also be adjusted, we started with it on maximum but soon realised that reducing it slightly gave us more consistent results.
It takes 2 9 volt batteries which are still reporting as full after 2 sessions. You can turn off the backlight on the display to conserve power. The sensor is waterproof as advertised, I’ve used it along a river bank with no problems.
My only niggle is that the coin indicators across the top of the display show American currency which is obviously irrelevant in the UK, unless you’ve dropped your American change somewhere. That said, the wider category indicators (Iron, Aluminium, Gold, Silver) are enough and if you’re familiar with American coins, you can make a reasonable guess at what a similar coin in your respective locale would be.
This also comes with a nice little folding shovel which seems well made and works well. The carry bag will take the detector in one piece provided it’s adjusted to be as short as possible. I did find that slinging it across your back did become painful after a while due to bits poking me, so I’d recommend splitting into 2 parts if you’re using the supplied bag (which has plenty of space for other bits and bobs).
To summarise, this met all of my expectations and I’m totally satisfied with my purchase. I’d absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting to get into “detectoring”.
This detector by Sunpow, for me, is easier to understand and use. As well as having different sounds for different metals, you can see the different categories on the display.
The pin point accuracy is effective. You have to set a point on the head as a reference and the sound coupled with the display allows you to easily find the location of the metal detected.
I found it fairly easy to assemble and is very lightweight. I recommend it.
I bought this for my 3 years olds birthday I have tried it out. I hid some things around the house and it was picking them all up perfectly. I would highly recommend this produc

This would be great for kids or as a first machine for anyone looking to try out detecting without the big budget for it. Deal price of 89 it is nicely built, the stem is better than I expected, the coil is a good size and not too heavy. The colour is also slightly nicer in reality, a peachy orange rather than that horrible bright yellow that a certain very well known brand uses. Another nice touch is the inclusion (as standard) of carry bag and digging tool within the box, which is all very compact. If all the products are like this I will probably be buying more from Sunpow, thanks.
The construction of the detector itself feels very sturdy. Everything slots together nicely and it’s great having adjustable length, as a taller man I have it on its longest setting and it’s nice and comfortable.
The materials are good quality, both the metal and plastic parts feel strong and robust with no squeaks or flex. Honestly for the money I would be very disappointed with any less so it delivers well. The included folding shovel/digging tool is solid metal too and stands up well with hard ground.
Of course the build is meaningless without a good show from the technology and the build of the halo. I’m pleased to report solid performance here too. As a means of testing its performance before braving an actual field hunting trip, I placed various materials (namely gold, steel, iron and tin objects) buried under 6-8″ of soil in my garden, some with shale or stone sprinkled on the top.
After “tuning” the wand and the computer to the type of metal I was looking for with accompanying samples (a process explained well in the manual) it reliably detected all samples. The precision of the readout is impressive and with a little labour I had retrieved everything I had hidden. I was particularly glad for this because I assumed I would remember where I had put everything and naturally I didn’t.
I’m looking forward to getting this into the field now, confident that it will both find and deliver the goods.
Got this as a way to get my teen son off the computer…ot worked he actually enjoyed him self…we tried it in the wood and on the beach..wood as it’s waterproof….Quite light weight.
Had fun with the sensitivity…we practiced on the find everything setting…then as we got better we switched to DISC mode to sort the junk good value for money…does exactly what it say….we live it.
I always wanted a metal detector as a kid and decided to get this one for myself and our son. Very quick and prompt delivery. As you can see from my pictures, came in a smallish box so was slightly concerned. Assemble is very easy and almost straight forward, do follow the instructions. Once I assembled it, I realized it extended quite long and was almost ready for use. Two very important points; 1) the metal detector requires two 9V batteries that do not come with it 2) The shovel that comes with the unit is almost cute in size. Looking forward to many hours out and about with my son hunting for buried treasure.

Very easy and intuitive. Practical in assembly and the size are no to big , it can always be in the car or in the back of the pickup. I immediately enjoyed finding some things in the field behind the house, nothing special but still perfect for the purpose. It looks really well built and with decent materials. Surely there is better on the market but in my opinion it is good quality and honest price for start new hobby..
