Bought as a set with kettle (which broke after 3 weeks), but this seems to be lasting better! Seems to get very hot though, having to cook everything on medium heat!
I don’t use one often but there are times it makes life a little easier. This little microwave is lovely to look at and doesn’t take up too much space; just what I wanted and needed

Bought the smaller size and standard plate fits perfectly, but not suitable for anything bigger than that width. Warms up food throughout and quickly too. It’s so stylish
I like the look and clock but the photos of others were bad with peeling and rust bothers me . But we will see fingers crossed I don’t get the problems others had
I absolutely love this microwave. I was a bit dubious having read some of the negative reviews but I decided to go ahead and purchase anyway. I’m really glad I did. It works perfectly and it’s easy to use plus it looks very aesthetically pleasing. It stands out from your bog standard microwave and the purple colour with silver detailing looks great. I have to say I haven’t experienced any of the negative points other people have mentioned like rusting but I always ensure that my microwave is well vented after every use and that I wipe out any moisture straightaway to prevent any build up. Perhaps that’s where others are going wrong. If you look after yours from the beginning you’ll be absolutely fine and you’ll have yourself an amazing little microwave.
Sturdy and quick to Heat Food. Not my choice of Colour but my Wifes. Mainly used for hot milk and defrosting.
Nothing to dislike. Clear instructions and straightforward operation. I have the yellow version, which looks great. All Good.

Absolutely love the yellow colour of this a lot of the yellow that you buy is a mustard colour but this is very vibrant, looks lovely & is easy to use..
The controls are a little less than ideal (not terribly intuitive) but I expect there is an element of form over function there.
No other negative comments. Only owned it for three months at the time of writing so hopefully it will prove reliable.
Very easy machine to use. Good sturdy build and heats the food as well as other more expensive science ovens.
I’ve been trying to find a yellow microwave for Years! Hurrah, finally one to match my kitchen. Not got as much internal height as my previous microwave but strangely it is wider inside, which is marvellously useful for my large dinner plates which I had to set at an angle in my last model.

Ten out of ten to Amazon support: having noticed that this microwave carries a 2 year warranty I left my number on the customer service page. I was called back instantly and after going through what the issue is the lovely lady I spoke to is sending me out a new microwave. It will arrive the day after tomorrow So, I am going to give Swan another chance. Well done Amazon.
I purchased the Swan Microwave in April 2021. It is easily the most expensive microwave I have ever bought. It has had only very light use 2 or 3 minutes here and there to reheat food or warm plates etc. It started making grinding noises a few months ago. This evening it made a very loud humming noise then a loud pop! It no longer heats anything. It has bitten the dust in just over 18 months. My cheap 35.00 one which I replaced with the Swan and gave away to a family member is still going strong and must be 8 years old if it’s a day.
The one star is for the colour.I could not recommend buying one.

I mostly only use a microwave to heat up and this sets my kitchen off a treat along with it’s other matching kitchen accessories. Easy to use knobs (as opposed to digital settings). I can’t review any cooking as such because I don’t use it to cook in but I would imagine if you did it would perform well.
I like how easy it is to use and also it seems easy to keep clean so far. I was a bit disappointed in the colour as it wasn’t quite I had hoped it would be.
Great size and goes with all the other things in there colour range that’s just great as I like things to match!
Very stylish easy to use my aim is to collect more items. Will mention 1st one had to be returned for a speedy replacement.
The microwave was lovely but the light inside went after 1week, so returned it and ordered another.

Very easy to use, best microwave I’ve had. ( this is the second one I bought, so happy with first one , bought another for our holiday home. Do not understand the negative reviews about the quality.
My old microwave was 7 or 8 years old and was becoming difficult to clean and was making clunking noises so I decide to invest in a new one.
I have heard of Swan before and have bought a halogen cooker made by them. I found their items to be cheap but reliable so bought this particular microwave as it was also in Amazon warehouse.
I like my kitchen tools to be simple to use and easy to clean and this fits the bill exactly. The dial has a few power settings and there is a start/stop button, it couldn’t be simpler really. My old one had a grill, oven, etc but I never used anything except the microwave function, my reason for going simpler to operate (also cheaper to buy).
I have no complaints so far, it heats my food and does it fairly quickly, so 5 stars from me..

Good product for the price. Has a good retro look. Does what it says but doesn’t have many features (often not used). Not the sturdiest but I bought for look and ease of use, so suits my needs.
Very happy with this microwave. Looks great and fits in well in our multicoloured kitchen.
Not had it long so it’s early days so far. I’d recommend keeping the instructions handy if you want to use the multifunction option.
Can’t understand why the orange one is more expensive than the other colour ones.

We are pleased with this item, it is a nice colour and easy to use. We could see through the door of our old Swan microwave to see when the milk boiled in the cup. We cannot do this with our new one, it is very hard to see but not really a problem as we put the milk in a jug now so that it does not boil over. I am sure we will get to love the new Swan microwave as much as we did our previous one.
Bought for my elderly mother thinking it would be easy to use she is really struggling says she needs a degree in electronics

Love the look of the microwave. Its easy to use and keep clean. Heats food hotter than my last microwave. Good value for money.
I wanted and love this microwave but the bulb popped on day one so very unhappy. I cannot return as it I will be left without one. I wished I had purchased from a SHOP it is much easier to return. I will use it until it stops and then replace but apart from that superb design and very easy to use.

The item arrived very quickly and exactly as described! The colour is perfect for a country-style kitchen and fits neatly into the corner 🙂 We’ve been using it for a few months now and had no issues with it whatsoever. It heats well, defrosts well and considering we have 2 young children, use it on a reasonably regular basis for baked potatoes, soup etc The inside is a bit smaller than we are used to but that’s probably because it’s retro…and plates are bigger than they used to be but overall functions well! Thank you
Lovely easy to use microwave.
Amazon customer very good when I received the first one it would not sit flat on worktop so had a replacement but again would not sit flat on worktop but I solved by taping a small piece of cardboard on rear corner.
Presume this is a design fault amazon customer care was good but swan customer care just not interested.
Would have got a different brand but all other kitchen appliances are all the retro desig
Great looking microwave and very easy to use. My only quibble would be how small it is internally – although not especially small volume wise it doesn’t fit my plates and you can’t stand a packet of rice up in it.
Assembly was simply, amazing pug and play really, and with a quick wipe down, you are good to go.
Appreciating its only a 800w microwave, I have to say I notice this when using, always have to put in for a little longer that recommended cooking instruction so would say it’s not that powerful.
It works for us, we have patience, and for the money, we are extremely happy with our purchase at this price. I wouldn’t recommend if was priced much higher because you can get a 1,000w for not much more.

A good value product that isn’t too large, and looks smashing. A lot of microwaves are quite bulky and dominate the worktop, but this one is more compact than a lot you find. It’s also easy to use, with just two dials. Being 800W, it does take a little longer to heat food than a lot of other microwaves, but that’s not something that bothers us particularly. Overall, we’re very pleased with this purchase.
Worked the time out on this microwave, love the black.it really is a lovely microwave matches my kitchen to a t,and it came in good time as really desperate for a microwave, so yes all good so far.

It works, it beeps and if you put food in it, it will get hotter if that’s what you need.

Brilliant microwave and lovely colour. Had to buy a new microwave due to old one not working anymore but this one is great. Looks and works great!! Wish they had the pink one in stock but they didn’t so bought the red one which is also very nice.
I bought this microwave as part if a set with the kettle and the toaster. All the products look so modern and stylish. The colour of all the products are the same and they are really easy to clean.

I bought this as i’ve seen it and loved it, the only problem is that if you don’t use lid to cover your liquid food, in the long run this will ruin the painting inside the cooking chamber by chipping it. Real pity i had to dump it.
So far just cooked sum jackets in it+warmed up a few bits, but it’s pretty idiot proof+Seems powerful for the job in hand. And the fact also get a two year guarantee If register it online, giving an extra year, is even better..!:-] All In all am chuffed with my purchase.

Lovely colour. Only criticism is that when it finishes the cook it keeps beeping until you open the door – great so you don’t forget your dinner but annoying if you’ve sterlised baby bottles and gone to bed before the cycle has finished!
Nice little microwave.
There is a mark on the inside of the glass that I’m unable to remove, but didn’t contact Amazon as I couldn’t be bothered to wrap it all back up to send it back.
I only use it to heat my porridge currently and it does the job perfectly.
The microwave itself is good and goes well with our kitchen as we have ordered the full range.
However, our packaging was damaged even though it had an amazon seal. I suspect the product was returned due to damage and I have been able to pull out using suction pads.
I love my pink microwave. One Year on it still works perfectly and rather than a microwave with a dark inside it’s white and easy to see the dirt . Looks fab in my grey kitchen with pink accessories . If you want a 1960s retro and bright look I would 100% recommend this microwave .. it’s also very practical and easy to use too
Loved the design, cream and smaller than most microwaves so fits onto a smaller counter space, instructions a little difficult to follow but got the hang of it, very retro, would recommemd, I have had no condensation collecting on glass door at all as others who purchased said, no complaints
When we got a new kitchen I wanted a green microwave to match the new decor. My choice was limited so I ordered this one (though would have preferred 900w).
On opening the box I was pleased with the design, but thought it looked too small. Our previous microwave was an oven/grill too, so it was quite a bit larger, and I was worried it wouldn’t fit our needs (family of 4 with two hungry boys!)
I had it all packed up to send back, then thought at the last minute that I’d try it out. I’m glad I did because it’s actually just right. It fits a dinner plate and one of my large baking bowls (just) which is all I need really.
It looks really smart with the rest of my green appliances and is easy to use and clean.
Of all the Swan retro range this is my favourite. It heats food and liquids well, care must be taken on removal from the microwave as they become quite hot. Liquids and indeed most foods are best heated in a glass bowl or handled jug, to avert a swimming pool of molten liquid forming inside the unit. I don’t understand how this could be retro as I don’t think they had microwaves in the 1940’s-50’s? Did micro waves even exist before they were invented – discuss.
I have two concerns though, 1, when in use, the outside casing gets hot. I’m not too sure how this will effect the longevity as, other microwaves I have had (as far as I can recall) didn’t get hot to touch and 2, with it being compact, you can’t fit a normal sized dinner plate in and, when opening the door, the microwave moves as it is lighter than standard microwave ovens.
Real simple microwave that even I can operate with no fuss does the porridge lovely in a morning 1 minute 40 seconds and its spot on.her indoors uses it more and hasn’t raised any issues so it. Just be good as for the couloir what’s up with a bit of pink
I totally love my new microwave i have decorated my kitchen an American diner theme the blue swan products look amazing and brighten up the kitchen perfect and also gives it the retro look. If like myself your changing colour scheme and buying a few new swan products it works out cheaper buying the items separate rather than in a package deal from Swan! I saved quite a bit of money doing this and as an amazon prime customer everything was free next day delivery. Best thing I ever did was subscribe to amazon prime the amount of money I have saved since joining has been great. I have recommended amazon prime to family and friends it’s has a lot of great benefits and bargains.
I ordered this item for my holiday home and went to a lot of trouble to get it installed. I have now had complaints from 2 sets of guests that it does not work: It does not heat anything up. My cleaner has also tested it, found the same so I would like a full refund. If you want it returned I will also have to add 30 plus postage as the cleaner will charge for taking this to the post office.
This microwave arrived very quickly and was packaged well.
Nothing to assemble, just put into position and you are ready to go.
I love all things retro and especially green! This is such a nice colour and adds pop in my vintage style kitchen. I love the controls and how simple they are to use. You basically just choose the settings on the upper dial and then dial the minutes in at the bottom.
You can also set according to weight and that is easily explained in the accompanying booklet.
It cooks beautifully and evenly. It has a really nice bright light inside too.
I’m very happy with the size. I had a really large one and had been looking for one that was a nice medium size. This is perfect. Big enough to do five jacket potatoes.
The appearance is what sold it for me so I’m extremely happy that it does not dissapoint on the function side of things.
I also think the price is great. Worth every penny.
I have had it for around 8 weeks and have used it more or less daily without any issues at all. I would happily recommend this beautiful retro microwave.
Very stylish looking microwave. Simple to use and roomier than you would think, it certainly takes my full size dinner plates and the large size of pyrex bowl. So far I havn’t found anything that I have wanted to put in there that hasn’t fit! Works really well, it’s far better at defrosting than my old microwave. The only mildly irritating thing is that when it’s finished whatever it’s doing it will give three loud beeps but then repeat said loud beeps every three minutes until you go and open the door. It’s good in that you wont forget anything but I often put something in to defrost and then leave it whilst I go and do something else – the beeps then get quite annoying. You feel like your being ruled by your microwave!! A small point really but it could really annoy some!
I bought a whirlpool corner microwave three years ago. I loved the design but it broke just after the one year guarantee expired. I liked it so much, I bought another. This time the guarantee was two years. With incredible precision, this one broke as the two years expired. So, I have resorted to other makes and models. This one looks really nice and actually, fits in the corner previously occupied by its expired companions, just as well. I also think it cooks more efficiently. A range of settings to suit every purpose. All in all, so far, I am impressed!!
I purchased this product at Christmas 2014 – I love the style of it and the colour – it fits well into my kitchen – the design is compact and stylish, however I do find that the controls are a little complicated to figure out and tend to just “do my own thing” if I’m honest. Also another little niggle is that when you use it I find that it tends to fill with fluid at the bottom – ie the steam doesn’t seem to escape properly – so you end up with a puddle in the turntable well every time you use it – but this is a minor problem as over all it is a good efficient microwave and well priced. Also I have dexterity problem (I have arthritis) and I find the pull handle really easy to use and the knobs are very easy to use much easier than a push button control.
All in all – despite the niggles – I would highly recommend this Microwave to anyone.
Lovely rich colour, and fantastic retro styling make it a pleasure to use. There is a really bright digital display clock, very clear.
The manual is minimal, but I don’t want to do fancy stuff in my microwave, I just really want to heat stuff up or cook veggies, and I can do this very easily, by keeping the top knob on at 100%, then just whacking the time dial and pressing the little Start button.
I have just bought it, so no idea how it will stand up to everyday wear and tear. I will try to update you in a couple of months to let you know how it’s going. However, so far, for the price, I am ridiculously pleased with this purchase.
Update July 2015 I am still loving this microwave oven, it is really easy to clean and has kept its good looks. I have even mastered the defrost function now, but still using it mainly for heating up things!
As I say, neither of these minor reservations are exactly show-stoppers, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the machine to anyone looking for something smart, efficient and a little bit different.
