I wanted a simple microwave that didn’t roast, bake or do anything other than microwave, I didn’t want it to be heavy and it’s not it’s nice and light. It’s very stylish , love the dials and the retro look, my only negative comment is the timer is not accurate at low times , like one minute, I have to refer to my clock as there’s too much ” play ” in the dial. It doesn’t bother me too much but doing something for a minute or less is made a little complicated by this, my old microwave was very easy to set for 30 seconds etc this one just isn’t. I am however pleased with it overall and would recommend.
Works a treat, and the turntable stays on the wheels. Plus the colour matches my toaster and kettle that are a different make. I love it.
Not had it long, but so far i find it easy to use, easy to clean and it wasn’t too expensive. I have the matching Swan kettle too. They both look good in my kitchen.
Love it. Simple to use, good looking with retro looks and colour. Cooks well and large capacity. Far better than all the fancy ones I’ve had in pas
Lovely microwave, fits in with my colour scheme now. Only thing that worried me was the burning smell on first use but it is fine now.
I instantly loved this item. The retro style looks great. The powder blue colour is lovely. It’s easy to clean & the details on the dials is a added touch.
Bought for my octogenarian parents. Love it myself. Easy to use and clean and love the colour.
There was lots of reviews about this microwave some good some bad all based on reliability and rust…..had this now for 6mths and I’ve not had any of the problems other customers have had, paints like new, no rust at all, just read the instructions and you should be fine
The only minor issue is that sometimes the manual dial stops before 0 and it cuts the power. Otherwise I love this appliance and it looks great in my kitche
Over the moon with our new blue retro microwave, so easy to use and looks amazing
Beautiful colour slightly larger than my last microwave but does everything I want . Only downside is it you need a 10,20 of 30 second burst ,for melting chocolate etc, it’s quite difficult to do as there is no timer for seconds.other than this minor detail, which is why 4and not5 stars , I am happy with this micro.
Brilliant , love the Colour, and style . Works so well, the extra power gives us more options.
EDIT: just over 4 years in and it still works well. The plastic chome-effect details are wearing, but they still look fine.
The interior paint, however, has started blistering and rusting. The door would usually be left ajar as the light only comes on in operation, to try and avoid this, but it hasn’t worked.
The bearing on the turntable wheel is quite rough and this likely didn’t help, and spreads the rust around far more than my previous micros. This is such a pity, as I would hold onto it for years more otherwise.
Original review still stands though:
…in a good way! This is a very pretty, good-sized and easy to use microwave. It’s 900w but it feels like more; even the med-high setting seems more powerful than my previous 800w (Morphy Richards and Samsung) microwaves! The defrost setting is incredibly efficient too.
It’s easy to keep clean and even after a year there doesn’t seem to be any bulging or break-down of the white interior. The blue colour is is gorgeous and the unit looks very smart.
Two small negatives though:
1- A lot of condensation can build up so I would give it a wipe down quickly to mop up water and preserve the enamel.
2- The light bulb is VERY dim, so it’s almost impossible to see if things like milk/porridge/rice pudding are bubbling up. However, a positive is that you can leave the door open and the light won’t be on, using unnecessary electricity

Superb micro, fast and so easy to use, perfect colou
Fantastic microwave for the price.lovely retro design.just what my kitchen needed, but more importantly it functions really well, heats food fast.
Excellent just what I was looking for. Delivery was quick.
works very well i am well pleased with this produc
Quite smart and matches my kitchen. Not the knobs I am used to and even on defrost the frozed goods were very hot on one side and cold on the other. I assumed it would defrost and then use the normal heating knob to do that. Not used to modern stuff! It is not expensive and although I haven’t had it long or used it often it is a nice addition to my kitchen.
ice looking even though plastic chrome controls look cheap. should have went for a digital timer as timing by the knob control is guesswork.
very good, perfect size for plates etc, easy to use, really nice colour and does the job well.had the smaller version and it was a waste of time so its nice this one is big enough, has defrost also.easy for those older people who arent looking for a technical oven and its got every function you need.this is a new bit of the review, had it now awhile and its going rusty at the back and noway to stop that, not impressed at all, works well but thats not good at all, gets really wet with condensation.
Does what it claims to efficiently and I like that you it doesn’t have a digital display.
I ordered this particular microwave mainly because I had recently purchased another SWAN product for my blue kitchen (‘Swan Products Retro Pole Towel, Blue’) and was pleased to be able to order a new kitchen appliance in a matching colour scheme.
The baby blue colour of the microwave is fantastic and compliments perfectly my other SWAN kitchen products (if the Kitchen Roll Holder is anything to judge by).
So far I have found this manual microwave exceptionally easy to use. I’ve always in the past had manual microwaves (with the exception of the one this replaced, which was a very complicated digital model) and am delighted by how quickly I was able to start using it without the need of the instructions.
I notice some other reviewers have commented on the price and the fact that it’s expensive for a manual microwave. I don’t know if it’s since come down in price, but for 70.70 (the current price as I write this review) and considering you might not pay very much less for a basic black or white manual microwave, I think for the money here you’re doing very well, as it’s so large and has the added bonus of the unique colour.
My only concern is the size of the microwave. My previous one was a 17 litre model where as this is a whopping 27 litres and takes up a lot of surface space in my kitchen. Of course, this has its benefits and I have found microwaving dinner plates with plastic covers much easier than with my previous microwave. However, had I known this microwave would be so large I probably would not have ordered it. I obviously take responsibility for this as I didn’t check the dimensions before ordering and so I won’t downgrade the product on this point, but it is worth considering if you have a small kitchen.
Highly recommended.
The microwave is powerful, heats things up well. The manual controls are easy to use, my 9 year old used it without instructions. The bonus is I love this colour!
We purchased this microwave in December 2014 as part of a matching set with our new blue SWAN kettle and toaster. It has worked perfectly ever since, and I was very happy with the colour and the style of the microwave. Whereas the kettle and the toaster have some cream edging, the microwave doesn’t, but I still think it has retro appeal. The microwave seems very powerful, and has some useful features like different power levels (defrost for instance). Although possibly considered a fairly small microwave, we have had no problems warming up the odd plate of food. I am slightly concerned that there appears to be some rust forming in the back seem of the microwave, I think at less than 18 months old and with very light use, I would not have expected the microwave to have any problems at this stage in its life. Overall though, we like the microwave, and it has worked very well.
like this product as it dos,nt have all the high tect stuff and clock just basic throw food in turn knob heat up eat clours are cool too
