we have used this to do a refurb on a cafe we have used it to fit pallet board to the lower part of wall to give a nice modern rustic look we realy didnt expect this nail gun to be this good very happy well worth the cos
Handy piece of kit to have in your tool box.
Going to take a bit of practice and shorter nails. Good and handy addition to my tool collection, glad I finally got round to getting it.
Doesn`t always fire pins all the way home , if you don`t already have a nail punch you will need one
his nail gun is a great buy, well worth the money and does the job but not the best if you have the money
Accurate and efficient delivery., very few jams and easy to clear when does.
Only down side rubber cap comes loose very easily.
Quick to use, very powerful, did my job brilliantly, well pleased, got 40mm nails for my job. Useful tool for woodworking.
Great corded 2nd fix Nailer, works well, but you must push nailer hard to get the nail flush. doesn’t damage wood
Bought this as a replacement of my old nail gun and impressed with it. Nails don’t always fully fire in but not come across one which does every time. Would recommend.
Used for lineing garden workshop with 12 m ply worked a trea
A very good nail gun at a very affordable price. Just put up fence around the garden in no time.
Used this for the first time today and it is brilliant. A real time saver and perfect for the job.
I gave had 2 older versions and found they are hard work getting the nails/staples to drive home fully but they make building a shed or fence a lot easier than using a hammer. This latest one is more powerful and bette
Not sure why all the negative reviews? Works perfect out the box. I used this to put up 15meters or Arris rail fencing. That’s 40 feather board slats on each 3 meter length. 200 boards nailing 3 clusters of 40mm galv nails on 3 levels per board. That’s about 9 nails. Not a single jam, plus I wasn’t being gentle, dropping the nose in the soil etc.. in the rain too. Also made life easy with 22mm gravel boards. I’m sure the pro nail guns can fire bigger thicker nails, for construction. But at this cost, it’s fit for purpose – furniture or repetitive garden jobs it’s perfect 10/10.
Works well, but when the length of nails run down it starts to miss fire due to the spring not being strong enough.
Fab piece of kit, you need to apply a lot of pressure to nail hardwood as the recoil is strong
This is a powerful and efficient nail gun for an electric model. It is light and easy to get into tight spots due to the angled head. If you don’t put enough pressure on to counteract the mechanism it will not be able to press the nail fully in, people are incorrect in blaming the tool for that.
I wish I had brought one of these earlier, initially got it to repair a damaged area on my shed and couldn’t believe how easy it made the job. You do need to keep some pressure on the top of the gun will using it otherwise it tends to kickback causing the nails to stick out.
Good tool did not jam when using just need push down to make sure nails go right i
Generally good value for money when compared to other named products. Only down side is that it appears to struggle to drive 40mm 18g nails even in soft wood. Haven’t tried with shorter nails so may work fine with them
This is very good nice to use works very well
Keep the head of the tool pressed against your workpiece to ensure nails go in flush.
I was in two minds with this gun but am I pleased with it I am just a cooler box and it as save me a lot of time I have used approximately 250 nails upto now and no jamming as yet it is of good size nice handle for gripping easy to load and use the stand works well as you use it and put it down it stands up right and saves it getting scuffed on the side and the box is a strong box delivery was fast so all in all well worth the money and good value
This is an excellent entry level mailer for small jobs and DIY. I am using it for home decorating as well as for small woodwork projects like building bird tables etc, Some reviewers have commented on the nails not driving flush. It is true that if force is not applied using both hands you may need to give the nail a final tap with a hammer to drive it home. To drive a nail home with the gun you must apply pressure with both hands. But for me this is not a problem as it still saves me a huge amount of time on the occasions when the nail is not flush. Moreover, if this is the price I have to pay for not needing a compressor, then it is worth paying. If it is a problem for you then upgrade to a compressor model.
I have always been put off from buying a nail gun due to the requirement to buy a compressor. With this electric nail gun I don’t need to bother with the hassle and expense of a compressor.
The box is excellent and is a very sturdy plastic. The gun itself is top quality. I have not experienced any nail jamming,
When loading smaller nails into the cartridge, you need to hold them in place when closing the cartridge to avoid them slipping upwards during close. But that is easy to do.
Conclusion:
This is an excellent product and worth every penny. I love it!
Excellent piece of kit for the money , I’ve used this to clad an outside building with 40mm stainless nails without it jamming once, put plenty of pressure on and obviously avoid the knots and it works a treat , it’s no paslode but it’s not paslode money either .
Does not come with a sample pack, but I had purchased 2000 40mm. I should have looked at the range as the 35mm galvanised would have been better.
I used this as quick fix and then followed up with screws and saved massive amount if time
Reqires a lot of pressure to ensure that the longer nails go in all the way. Check that the nailing head is secure before use as I found that the allen bolts work loose with time. Not even close to a proper nail gun but still useful for light work considering the price difference.
I used this refitting a commercial kitchen and it worked really well, and saved me tons of time, securing 18mm ply and 9mm hardboard.
It’s easy to use, you just need to remember to apply enough downward square pressure to countersink the nails.
It’s not heavy, probably weighs less than a cordless drill, and I managed to secure the ceiling boards (although these needed a final whack with a hammer to sink since i defy anyone to put enough pressure with one hand whilst upside-down!)
I did find refilling the nails a little tricky at first but after a couple of goes I now have it down pat.
A good tool, probably not for the pro but for an enthusiastic amateur like myself it’s indispensable…
Highly recommended.
eally good, especially on our hard wood floors. am looking at making some doors for our outbuildings so it will come in handy
I bought this nailer to build a fire surround in Tulipwood. I used 35mm nails and found no problems unless I didn’t apply enough pressure at the time of firing. One thing to note, this takes the 500 series tacs (<40 mm) which is initially confusing as the gauge is 18ga and tacwise have labled their straight tacs the 18 series.
Fits where other guns cannot get. It is powerfull and easy to use. Power lead could be longer and this probably applies to all nail guns…do NOT use in an explosive atmosphere! As this one is so powerfull I saw a spark from the nail when the gun fired. Otherwise I just wish I had bought one years ago.
Handy for tight spot and saves a lot of time
Great for those small jobs ie skirting and door frames
My son thinks it’s brill his new toy jobs are getting done around his house so daughter in law owes me.
This my first experience with a brad nailer so have nothing to compare it with. Previous reviews have mentioned that this model doesn’t push the nails all the way home. I’ve been using 1 1/4″ nails to join 18mm mdf to 19mm pine and sure enough the nails often stand 1 – 2 mm proud of the surface. This is the same whether going through the mdf first or the pine. If you push the items to be nailed really hard against a solid support (e.g. a concrete floor) then the nails will go flush but you end up marking the timber – especially the softer pine. As I’m only an occasional user and not bothered about hammering in the nail heads this gun is adequate for my needs. For someone who would use one of these as part of their job then I guess it would get a much lower star rating.
Great made life a lot easier fitting new skirting and easy to get jammed nails out of the gu
Great power and solid feel and no jams do far..
500 nails used 40mm to put up a ship lap fence not one jam, cant fault it, highly recommend this produc
Had this since Oct 2016, use it every day for my work, gone through 17,000, 30mm nails and has only jammed about 5 times.
What I have found is if you use this with the intention to nail continuously meaning the full cartridge at once it will jam for some reason, but if you give it time in between nailing it is the best time saving tool I have bought.
Great tool for what I do in the house, I’ve fitted 3 false ceilings, and in half the time with this nail gun, quite powerful with a good kick when you fire it.
It’s a must for anyone with DIY skills
Very good brad nailer. (Be careful with it as it doesn’t have a separate safety latch – if the nose is depressed and the trigger is touched it fires the brad.)
Love it !!! What a great bit of kit ! Needed to Tongue and Groove whole workshop – without this ,would have taken an age ! Am usually a tool snob and only buy A Brands – took a gamble on this and it paid off – even my neighbour who is a builder by trade , is going to buy one – total timesaver and quality tool – very happy with purchase !!!
Excellent value – works really well with soft wood moulding, struggles with oak but no complaints at the price – nails are good value also
Never used one before, looked at various options: air, cordless etc. This brand were, for me, the best option including price.
Works well for most jobs, yes you quite often need two hands to get the longer nails to go right in but for those that don’t, a quick tap of the hammer is all thats needed.
Una herramienta a la que le haba echado el ojo tiempo atrs. Por espacio no puedo tener una neumtica as que pens en esta como alternativa. No le doy la mxima puntuacin porque las cabezas de los clavos hay que rematarlas con el martillo.
Great gun, broke down within warranty and replaced no trouble, I remove the front cover at nozzle so the nail goes fully i
Excellent piece of kit, easy to handle & not too heavy. Quick and easy to load. Nice long length of cord. Good strong carrying box which also holds plenty of nails etc. Should’ve bought one ages ago.
Made a big job fantastically easy. Went through over 3,000 nails on one particular job over two weeks. Didn’t jam once and nails so easy to load.
I defy anyone using this machine not to say/think….”lock and load” when re-filling closely followed by “lets roll”
works well but can jamb from time to time but its easy action soon clears the jamb well worth the money
Great little nailer. I use this for fixing scotia beading around laminate floors mostly and glazing in wooden Windows. Works well as long as pressure is applied to the back firmly to stop the recoil stealing all the power. Never jams, can’t complain for the money. No charge time, lightweight and compact. Great in softwood.
Cheapest on Amazon very fast delivery definitely use again thanks
An excellent nailer and feels lighter weight than my previous machine, a Tacwise Pro which has given
sterling service and now having a minor fix after several years’ serious joinery.
UPDATE: job finished now (two floors laid) with this tool and thanks to impressive customer relations from the maker, by email,
have now fixed the fault on the original machine – detailed advice supplied free . I’d recommend this supplier without hesitation
from several years of experience.
I have owned a popular make gas version of a nail gun for 6 months now and converted a large caravan into a cabin nailing all the first and second fixings, the problem was when it came to all the work on the inside, i.e. skirtings framework and beading.
This nailgun is not perfect but essential to all the work required for the interior.
It has been criticised for not driving the nails fully home but it does if you press firmly, if you want a temporary fix only I found it handy not having the nails flush.
I said not perfect because my gun doesn’t want to shoot every time,I will consequently follow it up with the seller.
Besides all that it is the best tool in my toolkit, I love it!
Good top-end DIY model. Not sure if I would use if a pro. Best for interior trim fitting for stud walls. NOT a framing device, but doesn’t pretend to be. I used it to attach the planking on a shadow-box fence I built from scratch.
Bought this mainly for fitting softwood stair parts, and also some softwood architraving etc. It also made quick work of running up some trellis for the garden too.
Works fine for this purpose, provided you put enough force into the front – which can do some damage to the softwood as the gun jumps. Bit nothing a bit of paint/sand/filler won’t sort.
I’m not so sure that’d it’d manage hardwoods so well – but I will give it a go on some oak skirting I need to fit and update this if it manages it.
Overall, provided you consider the price (cheap), and what its for (finishing, softwoods mainly) you’ll be fine. Hold it gently against something and expect it to work fine and you won’t do so well!
love the nail gun saves all that work with hammer what easy work great tool also great delivery service
I found the nail gun good value for money and delivery was promp
This is a hobbyist/DIY nail gun and not to be compared to Hilti or Paslode guns that retail at several hundreds of pounds. That said, its a handy bit of kit and does well in putting up trellis, skirting board and ply panels. Will take nails up to 40mm, as other reviewers have pointed out you will need to use two hands to get a flush fit with the longer nails, but in practice I haven’t found this to be a problem, and the great advantage is the speed that you can get the job done. It would have been nice to get a “starter pack” of nails with the gun, but you don’t, so you will have to order them separately: do so carefully as some of the smaller sizes are “add-on” items and will need to be ordered together with longer ones to make the most of Amazon’s free delivery.
The gun itself is nicely balanced and isn’t a strain to use. Its well built and has a good finish, it feels like a professional tool, not something built down to a price. The case has empty sections to allow you to carry several boxes of nails along with you. Inserting the nails into the gun is simple (though do take the time to read the instructions!). Other reviewers have spoken of the gun jamming; I haven’t experienced this but I have been careful to only use Tacwise nails as recommended.
For the price and build quality I am pleased with this nailgun. Recommended.
My new favourite toy!!! Needed a nail gun for architraves and skirtings, and to build a few cabinets, and to be fair this was cheap, so I was questionable about the quality, but its a great piece of kit, you do need to put a bit of strength into it to make sure the brads embed fully, but no more than you normally would.
Sped up my work no end, leaving little or no marks on finishing timber.
Great product, quick delivery, good price – what more could I ask!
Bought this to affix tongue and groove cladding to Summer House. Used nearly 2,000 nails, but saved hours of constant hammering. Have now discovered loads of uses around the garden repairing fences, constructing ornamental arches etc. Worth every penny!!!
Building an external home office. Have used this nail gun for 32×175 Feather Edge on to 47×75 Sawn Softwood using 40mm nails, 19×100 TGV Cladding internally with 30mm nails and for pinning softwood skirting and architrave.
Haha also just used the 40mm nails straight through 18mm OSB III no problem.
If you simply rest the gun on the workpiece then yes, the nails are left slightly proud. However, with a bit of pressure, and occasionally using spare hand if it’s free, the nails are driven home perfectly.
For this job I didn’t fancy spending a small fortune on a pucker gas nailer or nailing everything by hammer. This tool is saving me loads of time and for me it works just perfectly and I know I’ll use it again and again in the house.
There is only one niggle. The outer packaging card clearly says LONG POWERCORD. We’ll it’s not. Mine is 1700mm, which is too short for anything over shoulder height meaning you really need a single outlet extension lead. A definite design fault, needs to be 2.4-3.0mt as with a hammer drill or the like.
Hope this review helps cos it’s exactly what I was looking for before buying this last week.
So useful, built a garage out of 22mm tongue & groove and has been a boon. Doubts about quality with the low price have proved to be unfounded …… A great bit of ki
I bought this gun to build my dog kennel / run. It saved me loads of time and I was really plweased with the gun. Really light and easy to use in fact the wife helped out and enjoyed using the gun. We found that when firing the longer nails it was best to steady the tool with the other hand by applying a little pressure on top of the rubber pad at the top iof the gun. We opted for the stainless steel nails (500 type) as we didn’t get through that many and wanted a really long lasting job. Tools is angled and really handy to gwet into corners like when I fixed the roof on the kennels.
boys and i have used all manner of tacwise tools and swear by them . this little nailer is comfortable to grip and a very fast and efficient way of dealing with jobbing builder day to day fastening. best model in the range in my opinion as very compact and has a precise feel . best to use 2 hands as these tools do have a bit of recoil .
most of my work is construction so i am using air and gas tools . this new model from Tacwise was suggested to me by a mate for interior jobs like skirting and so far very impressed with the very light weight and convenience .This tool will not get used every day by me but i can imaging a lot of jobbing builders and home enthusiasts getting a lot of use and value from it . Easy to load and then just plug in and away you go .
