Just returned from a 4 day camping trip and this cool box kept everything cold throughout our trip. Its a perfect size.. .fits 2 pints of milk, a couple of pre frozen meals, butter and drinks. So enough for 4 days of camping and a restock of staying longer. Its really sturdy and robust. I love the metal handle and the thick insulation. Would highly recommend
I love this. It kept our food and drinks chilled all day on the hottest day of the year.
Saved myself a fortune buying this over the branded version – and it’s very similar in colour.
Not as thick insulation as I expected but after reading a lot of reviews managed to make food / milk survive for 4 days over a weekend of roughly 25 degrees (C). First, night before, fill with loose ice to cool box down then just before adding food you will need to fill approx 1/3 to 1/2 of the inners with a single solid block of ice – I made mine using water frozen in cling film in a large plastic tub in the freezer for a few days before. This block takes a lot longer to defrost than ice cubes and there was still ice in the box after 4 days. This does reduce the capacity of the box but it was enough for bacon, a couple of steaks, milk and eggs so did us proud.
I go fishing 2/3 days at a time. with a few ice blocks and a frozen water bottle which you can drink later, it keeps all my perishable food fresh. recommended.
It’s perfect for the coming summer. You can take it with you for camping or picnic. I used it for the past Easter holiday with my family for the holiday in national park. I used it to keep cokes and sandwiches cool and they stayed perfectly fine and cold. The size is good for a medium size family. The straps manage to keep the box sealed and are very easy to open/close. Also due to its made from durable material, my son could sit on it which is very handy. Nevertheless it’s quite heavy especially with full load can be quite heavy.
It’s a good small rotomolded cooler, hard coolers with this minimum footprint are rare in the UK. Selected as a permanent fixture in the car, it performs as described, impressive. I also use a YETI Tundra 45 for holidays and a Landworks for long weekends. The only negatives for the Tangzon are a very slippery top so preparing food is difficult and secondly the finish in places is less perfect than on the YETI and Landworks, BUT I would buy it again.
