Was dubious about buying one of these as we’d had a cheaper version that broke and couldn’t really justify the price. It came up on prime day discount so took the plunge and now we’ve used it, I’d pay full price for one. It’s absolutely brilliant and a different world of cooking to our older one.
I was skeptical to get an air fryer for quite a while and when I saw the above item on discount , I decided to give it a go and I am glad that I did! Both me and my partner now enjoy actual healthy food and it cooks much faster than our oven. The airfryer is very easy to clean ,easy to learn and also it comes with its own cook book. Highly recommended
I’ve had a Tefal paddle air fryer for many years and always used it for chips. The old one eventually fell apart after 9 years or so and it was time for a new one. I bought a mid range Ninja and was highly disappointed with unevenly cooked chips despite regular shaking. Eventually decided to get back to the Tefal and bought the Genius+. It was a warm welcome back to decent chips. The Ninja hasn’t gone to waste though as we are now using the Ninja as an oven substitute at half the energy price of a full sized oven, when appropriate.
In summary, if it’s chips you want this is the best one to buy. Don’t forget to add a measure of vegetable oil for crispiness and a good colour.
Replaced an actifry plus but doesn’t live up to expectations, cooking time is taking longer.
Although this newer version does not seem as sturdy it does the job. Easy to clean and a better control system. Would recommend
Perfection in every way was looking for one of these that would be like the last one I had. So it’s absolutely perfect when cooking definitely perfect wedges
Love the actifry this is our second, use it for all sorts, scampi, fish fingers, chicken, either use the basket, or just remove the Paddle
Much better design than older models, they have fixed some of the irritating things like a funnel in the middle which stops bits falling through. Best one yet!
Love my Act-fry, makes perfect chips. I haven’t tried cooking anything else yet. It’s easy to clean too.
This is one of the best buy’s this year. Ive been using this for a couple of months now and only used my main oven once. It takes no time to warm up, cooks evenly and quickly and cheap to run.

Arrived promptly and my husbands loves it with his collection app is great for recipes ideas. So simple and easy to use and just put in dishwasher for simple cleaning.

Superb product, love the included mesh basket, just large enough to prepare food for 2 people. I have done vegetable crisps, thai curry, calamari, burgers and MANY portions of sweet potato fries in this over the last year. Second only to my rice cooker, this is the best cooking appliance I have bought for my kitchen.
I did a LOT of research before buying my first airfryer and settled on this one. It is brilliant. I really like the rotatory that ensures that the food is always evenly cooked. It comes apart very easily to clean and most times I just give it a quick rub round with Kitchen roll.

Let’s be honest the reason I bought this was I have never found an oven chip that was any good. Use a good chip making spud and about half the measure of olive oil. Chips are option 1. 30 mins later awesome chips.

Very easy to use manually but a bit complicated using the icon settings. Booklet could be more informative.
I owned the original Tefal which cooked chips perfectly, very crispy.
But find this new Genius with pan doesnt crisp chips enough. I do use both for chips + fish or meat and the pan cooks perfectly.
This is the 3rd one we have owned. Not as tough as it could be considering the price but difficult to get old timers to try something different !
This is my second one and we’ll worth the money. It’s ideal for two people but might be a bit small for a family of 4 plus. Or maybe we eat too big a portions? It saves putting the oven on every day & quick
Bought as a replacement for Actifry Family which had faulty power lead. This model is improved as the power lead in hard wired so the previous fault cannot happen. Very easy to use and much quicked than the older model.
We were lucky as we got this around Christmas time, before Christmas it was 284 and we got it for less than half price. Burgers are fine in no time, about 8 minutes chips in about 29. It doesn’t explain it very well in the instructions but when doing two things you have to let the first thing finish it’s time then it will bro at you to start the next thing, eg; chips 29 mins burger 8 let the chips do 29 then do the burger it keeps the chips warm underneath without burning them so it’s all ready to serve at the same time.
Not a lot to say but I love this actifry, done chicken, steaks, chicken nuggets, fish cakes and obviously chips. Love the fact you can cook in the bottom and add the top tray to complete your meal
This is an upgraded model to my previous actifry. Loved my old one and love this with the added Bonus of being able to cook the meat without using another way of cooking. I have not had it long so just getting used to my times . Would definitely recommend and wad on at a good price at the time so even happier.

This Actifry Advance has come beautifully packed, with several bits of paper, but no recipe book or instructions how to use it except a fold-out sheet with diagrams written with a faint colour (as seems to be the rage when writing anything about cooking these days). I can’t understand the diagrams or how to use this machine. I have some idea, because I have used an Actifry Original up until now, but how and when do you use the upper level of this thing?

Had the original one for years didn’t think I would need another when it gave up the ghost but I was wrong this is very good does chips great no need to keep your eye on it it does the work for you very pleased

I like the extra capacity of this air fryer and also being able to change the temperature and timing. I have only used it twice so far so am limited on what I can say about, though I am pleased to date.
I’m a bit gutted I didn’t get the bigger Genius xl (or whatever it’s called) which can cook two things at once. With this the basket cannot be used at the same time as the stirrer so you’d have to cook delicate food in the basket then tougher stuff (chips) in the stirrer straight after then heat up the delicate stuff again or vice versa.
But the basket is great for delicate items like fish fingers and jalapeo poppers. It’s also amazing at making chips from fresh potatoes with its stirring paddle
This is much better than my original Actifry which did not switch off after the timer finished. Previously my teenager would put his chips /nuggets etc on and disappear off (waiting for Fairy Mother to switch it off!) and return when it was overcooked/burnt. This version switches off after the timer. Thank the Lord! No more accidental cremations. Lots of space for more food and can do loads with it based on the youtube videos. Great buy and delighted with it.

Years ago we bought one of the original Tefal Actifrys, it was really useful and convenient until the day that it just stopped working. So now bought another one and we are glad that we have, cooked our old favourites and experimenting with new recipes. Only down side is that the stirring paddle can be a pain to clean.
We replaced a older actifry with this one and we still love it the only thing is my mother is partially sighted and the old one had easy buttons to press and start this one you have to put the timer on to work it and she carnt see that and the button As they are flush to surfaces may be a little thought for tefal to look and make the buttons a bit more prominent but we love this anyway from making stir fry to chips the best invention eve
I had a very old actifry and I also have an air fryer (drawer type) but they have their own individual uses. Drawer type air fryer is good for stuff like fish and chicken steaks that you don’t want looking like a disaster when they’re cooked cause obviously the actifry rotates everything but the actifry is brilliant for chips. And roast potatoes and of course recipes like chilli. Very useful and handy
Not lot of oil needed so much healthier , and quick and tasty meat and chips etc, I like the two layer effect, and smaller than most fryers, fits nicely in a corner of a worktop. would buy agai
It does do a good job of cooking stuff, but if you are expecting it to cook 2 different things at once, it doesn’t, despite the misleading claims. Basically you have to cook chips or whatever in the bottom tray first then you cook any additional stuff in the upper tray afterwards whilst the stuff in the bottom tray stays put & remains heated. So for instance if you do Burger and chips, you need to cook chips for 20 mins and then the burgers for 10 mins, so your total cooking time is 30 mins, the 2 in 1 feature just means you set the dual timers for upper and lower tray together before you start, not quite what I expected! Another minor niggle is the handle for the top tray is unnecessarily fiddly to get on and off due to the crap design. The instructions are very complicated & difficult to understand for something that’s basically quite simple and I had to read them time and time again. Overall though, despite all these shortcomings it does do a very good job of cooking multiple items and all the food is nicely cooked and piping hot. I got this at a hugely reduced price courtesy of Amazon and I’m happy with my purchase, but at full RRP you would have to think twice and consider the competitors’ offerings.
I would not be without the Actifry, this is the second I have bought over the years and it is excellent. I certainly would not dream of cooking my chips any other way
Very easy to use with an app to help you decide which pre program to use and even has a feature that you can put in what ingredients you have and it gives you possible meals to make with what you have
Only downside is that it’s a bit noisy but the pros outweigh the cons plus spares are easily available to buy should they be needed
I upgraded form the old model of the actifry this is much improved and easy to use and clean would recommend

Our second Actifry. The first (“Original”) was really good, but our new Genius+ Is brilliant. We feel we can make it do so much more, and with it’s adjustable program modes there really could not be anything simpler and yet more versatile. No regrets, despite the cost!
Bigger and more quantity cooking.
Thought the two in one cooking would be faster but seems to also require double the time as the cooking modes are done in sequence. So, I just put everything together in the big dish. For example frozen fries and chipolatas all together.
Good product but lower rating as like all items like this they are not that easy to clean but OK
Updated mainly because of the newer digital and programmable controls…but it turns out that its a lot quicker and with the second tray will do a lot more ….a whole meal. Bonus is that my son in law loves the old one for his chips!
This was a family christmas present and we used it for the first time today. The homemade chips were cooked to perfection. We are very happy with this health fryer it’s definitely the best one we’ve ever had. You won’t be disappointed x
Not my first rodeo with air fryers, but first one with one this good! I had potatoes from raw to perfection, and I mean perfection – crisp from outside yet soft and fluffy and thoroughly cooked, and all in only 28-30 minutes. Cooking some sausages and chicken – easy! Love it to bits
Easy to use, cooks great chips and roast potatoes. App not great but certainly inspires you to try lots of things we didn’t realise you could cook in an air-fryer, and all with much less fat than you would use if cooking it conventionally. Very happy.
