It cooks really well and very quick but you need to be a genius to work out how to use it.
My previous model was the 2in1 xl and that was so easy in comparison but fingers crossed it will get easier to use the more I use it.
Also seem to get a lot more mess around the top even with the guard on. Sometime the lid will not close and I have to slam it to get it to stay pu

Looks good and what i wanted. The instructions are hard to understand for an elderly person. Also the paddle broke on the 2nd day and I am having a job to get it replaced. I even bought a genuine one from Amazon, which I have just returned as it did not fit. I have now got a new paddle and the Fryer works perfectly..upgrade to 5 stars. *****

This is the 3rd differerent model of actifry I have owned and is by far the best and the 2 in1 function makes it the best air fryer on the marke
I bought this for my sister as I already have one and always recommend it to my relatives. Very easy to use and healthy meals prepared in no time.
I think this is an excellent product, but as I normally only use it for 1 person, I am 87 years old, and the
instruction booklet does not fully explain how to put it on manual.
This is all new to me! Do I need it? Not necessarily. However, it is a novel and clever way to prepare a meal and, I have to say, it does exactly what it promises to. The crisp nature of the food prepared is most impressive. I’m still learning about its use, but it’s a very good start.

This is my second Actifry, my first one lasted about 4 years of very regular use (2-3 times a week). Opted for this one because of the snack basket and the improved timer which does actually stop the cooking process at its conclusion. The old one just kept going.
This one is much quieter too.
The only issues I have are really with the quality. The pan doesn’t feel as substantial as the original one and the handle feels like it isn’t that strong either.
Very practical and easy to use, after the cooking cycle is finished, it’s very easy to clean, it does not need you to be stopping every now and then to shake the basket and restart the process, so far so good. The price was very good and the delivery time was very quick. Very happy with the purchase!!!
Replaced a breville halo, and went back to the actifry. The 1st thing that stood out was how noisy it was, so much so the kids even commented on it (unless it’s YouTube they never hear anything). A point of humour is that although the fryer is very loud the timer larm is barely audible, although the Misses says sure you know it has finished because of the silence. Other than the noise is everything is pretty much as expected.
Two levels is a bit finicky to use. The top is hot and the bottom seems cooler, so the top gets crispy and bottom not cooked.
I’ll need pra tise to get the timing right for voujons in the top and chips in the bottom.
Not clear what the semi circular black plastic ring does, or how it Might help things

Although we haven’t used the Actifry to its full extent as yet what we have done has been cooked perfectly, was very tasty and virtually free of oil/fat. We haven’t felt the need to use the tray for 2 in 1 cooking but judging by the results we have had so far I have every faith that it will be excellent.
Bought as a replacement for our Halo fryer that unfortunately cannot be bought anymore
Having owned an original actifry many years ago I was unsure about going back as the originals were not that reliable only lasting a few months with family use
Immediately impressed with the newer model very quick cooking (frozen chips done in approximately 16 mins)
And easy to clean according to Tefal all parts a repairable on these newer models as well so another plus point
If I had one criticism it would be it’s a bit noisy
All in all happy with it but only had it for just over a month so will update if there are any changes to tha
We love it it’s so easy to take apart and clean.
Brilliant so easy to use, easy to clean cooks good food so fast. You can cook lots more different types of dinners than you expect.
Haven’t been too adventurous yet but sausages and chips or roasties do vey well and quickly.
I use the air fryer all the time for allsorts of things and sometimes just to cook something to add to another meal

This bit of kit takes making homemade chips to another level. They weren’t often cooked in my home due to the greasy smell and not being very healthy. Now they are cooked all the time. Only one tablespoon of oil needed and voila crispy tasty chips and no lingering greasy smell
It’s changed the way I eat so much for the better. Don’t hesitate just get one for yourself.

I like the top tray the food cooks very quickly on it. Control takes some getting used to not simple to run manually. Overall happy Customer although im on my 4th actifry as mine have all only lasted a few years each

Cooks food a treat but not as fast as I expected. I was under the impression that you could cook chicken and chips for instance at the same time, saving time and energy. But in truth you have to cook the chips first and then cook the chicken. All recipes in the free book have separate times for cooking in the pan and tray, so you need to add them together to get the total cooking time. I now use manual setting to save time and power.

Takes a bit of practice to learn how to adapt your regular recipes for using in a n Actifry – but once you learn how to do that, it becomes very easy to do.
Absolutely love this product, wish I had purchased years ago. Can do chips with oil or use frylight if want to have lower calories. Cooks efficiently. The 2 in 1 is great as can cook other items at the same time. There wouldn’t be enough room to cook for more than 4 adults at a time, although this is dependant on portion size of course. Great, product, would definitely recommend.
Great item, fries perfectly. Food tastes really good and very little fat added. We love it.
I like the idea of the paddle to turn the food while cooking but not prepared to pay such a high price when a much cheaper make can cook just as well even if you have to shake up ingredients now and then.
Had a family Actifry for many years and considering we only use it once a week max, we have had to replace several parts, the last straw being the lid. Having said this, it’s great for real chips and roast vegetables and lots of other things so rather than replace more parts we decided to buy a new one. The new one is just as good, faster than the old version with some modifications so I’m hoping by now the earlier parts problems have been fixed. They are quite expensive but having researched what else is on the market, I can’t find anything to beat it so bit the bullet.
Tried making home made chips in the oven but could never get them crispy while still being fluffy inside. The ActiFry has accomplished this for us with ease. I also cook our Roasties for Sunday dinner in here now as well and they’ve been amazing. While expensive the Prime Deal made it more worthwhile and I don’t regret spending the money or getting rid of my fat fryer. No more horrible fatty smells through the house and the removable l bowl makes it easy to clean. We haven’t tried any of the other settings as yet as our primary use was for chips however will experiment in the future.
This is about the 4th Actifry we’ve owned in 10 years (They do like to seemingly self destruct after a few years). This is easily the best Actifry so far though and the biggest step up since older models, cooks chips a good 5 minutes quicker which adds up over time and the new modes are welcome. It’s also easier to clean than older models because of the glass top instead of clear plastic which gets grimy. If this one lasts longer then it’s all round a very good upgrade.

absolutley brilliant, a must for the kitchen. massive part of ours. in use all the time, just in case you overwork it like we did parts are ready available and easily fitted. on about our third now. the first i had rebuilt, due to being in use every day, took about a year to kill it. and just upgraded over the years. easy clean and temp controlled.

Great product easy to clean. There are endless things to cook in it from chicken to pork chips and roast potatoes. Place ingredients in the bowl press the button and walk away.

Great product overall but definitely not easy to use. I still can’t figure out how to use the 2 in 1 system. It’s too complicated and the instructions are in every other European language but English. The manufacturers website and YouTube channel aren’t very clear. I feel like I could have just gone with the cheaper alternatives because I now air fry two things separately.
I like that is easy to use and i use it for cooking all kinds of food – chips, chicken, sausages etc
This is my second Actifry and this XL one is perfect for a large family. There is a recipe book with it to make some dishes which is handy. We use it mainly for chips and they come out really nice.
The instructions for setting the two levels of cooking are confusing. On the one hand it seems to tell you to adjust the timing of the presets before you start the machine, and then it says that you adjust after the machine has started.
This thing is quite big! Big enough to be a bit tricky to store. Best to have it in a dedicated spot and leave it there.
It works well, finding the sweet spot for our favourite foods will require some experimenting, but that’s good fun.
When it’s on, it’s quite loud. So if you have an open kitchen/living area, you’ll hear this machine working.
The only downside: The recipe booklet that came with it was in German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. I don’t speak any of those. But I contacted Tefal and the sent an English booklet out without any issues that arrived the next day. Excellent service on their part.
Bought for my daughter who is a single mum. She is delighted with this actifry . Uses it most days to cook so many things.really clever idea and virtually fat free, so healthier to use.
You must keep it out so you use it , does take up space, but a great addition to the kitchen !
This Actifry is a total game changer. It was recommended to me by a customer and I have no regrets. Food tastes much better and more if the nutrients in the food is retained. Which actually improves the flavour of your food. Plus there are so many different dishes you can prepare in the Actifry. If you intend to purchase a cheaper version, then I suggest you fully review it prior.
I couldn’t live without a tefal actifry. This is my second one. Last one was used everyday for last 14 years. I replaced rotary blade once during that time for around 8.
Amazing value and performance. Have had my new one for a month and it is even better as it cuts out when cooking time ends.
Bought to replace an old classic actifry, very happy with this. Its easier to clean and is multi use so a goos upgrade as far as I am concerned.
This is the ultimate air fryer and is brilliant. It needs very little oil and produces really great food, especially sauted potato or chips. The second level maximizes the potential and does fish fillets really well. Really glad I moved up to this model.
Great chips that I always expect from my actifry. This is about my 4th or 5th version and probably the best. The sharing dips tray is a great addition and it seems to be a lot easier to clean. Dishwasher friendly as well!

I had a very old actifry that gave up the ghost. Needed another one asap and this was delivered quick. I’m so chuffed my new one is far better than the old one easier to clean and cooks far quicker.
Works great although a tad on the noisy side. I’m not sure where all the money went as even though it works great so did my old air fryer and that coz me 30 lol.
Always looks a bit smudgy due to the plastic finishes used.
Wouldn’t buy one again but would buy an air fryer of sorts again.
Love this actifry! Had one years ago that used to spit chips out around the edge and I kept having to open the lid to put them back in the pan. This one has a lip that stops that happening. It’s not huge, but I can easily do enough for 3 hungry adults. Did a stir fry in it the other night that was lush! Very happy with this purchase and am going to buy another two for Easter gifts instead of chocolate!
Actifry Advance Snacking works beautifully but it is SO heavy. It weighs a Kg more than original version and due to it’s size it’s not something you would leave out on the worktop unless you have a massive kitchen of course. The other niggle is that small chips or pieces get trapped under the paddle which never happened with the two original models we had. However still given it 5 stars as it is superb at what it does.
This is my second Actifry. My first was bought about 12 years ago and it eventually died, beyond repair.
Pros:
Minimises frying smells. Easy to get reasonably priced Tefal spares for: pan, lid filter, motor etc.
Does a reasonable job on fresh cut chips, but frozen fries are excellent, with no oil added.
Produces reasonable roast potatoes. Most parts can go in the dishwasher, so good to clean.
Uses a minimum of oil. I take ours away in our camper van
Cons:
Looks ugly and takes up a lot of worktop space. Mine is stored, hidden in a cupboard.
Fantastic – I`m still amazed after several weeks with regards to the quality of food produced from this. As for instance the Chips / Roast potatoes produced from just peeled potatoes is sublime, they are amazing and after 30 years of cooking in the kitchen I can honestly say this product produces fabulous dishes. No mess just a spoon of Olive oil or even better Avocado oil “Yes Avocado oil” – no after taste and extremely healthy option – Note: if you want extra crispy Roasters just place in the oven for another 5 / 10 mins 🙂
We are getting the most amazing chippies with almost no fat. We had another air fryer which was ok but this takes food preparation to another level. Very pleased with purchase. Cleaning is straight forward but the rotator in the middle needs proper scrubbing as the food rests can get very sticky on it.
Bought this product to replace my basic actifry. Bit fiddly to clean but not a big problem. It is very easy to use with 100’s of recipes to try, savoury, sweet and cakes. I have tried quite a few of the recipes and found them delicious.
My favourite kitchen gadget we use this least 3/4 times a week. From chips, roasters to curries, steak so versatile. Love the paddle that makes the food cook evenly.

The unit is easy to use and clean. The paddle does get coated and more difficult to clean. Small amounts of food do tend to pile up as rotated. Main dislike is the lack of good information on how long cooking time is for the quantity involved. So trial and error to get best results. The app is unhelpful in this respect. But it is a clean answer by using so little oil to the old deep fat fryer. No more oil smells over the whole kitchen!
Easy to clean and use touch screen buttons. A decent size theres 4 of us I’ve only done home made chips or frozen roast potatoes but are lovely no more greasy chips! Only down side the cable is pretty short I’m using an extender for it. Theres an app to download for recipes.
A must in are house , teenagers used it ! Make them learn too be inpatient and I Don’t have too worried abt them cooking and burning house down lol
I did a lot of research before I decided to buy this Actifry and I’m happy to say that I love it. I have cooked frozen oven chips in it which come out lovely and crispy in about 25 minutes, also butternut squash which cooks perfectly on the chip setting. I cooked some sausages on the meat setting and they were perfect. Also some caramelised banana using the dessert setting. It is quite noisy but not too bad and it doesn’t take up too much room on the worktop. Very pleased.
Absolutely happy with this purchase. It makes cooking lot of easy. Have used this for months now and we enjoy cooking in this airfryer. We have so far tried variety of meats, vegetables and potato fries, all came really well with less or no oil. The Tefal ActiFry app provides bunch of recipes for those who want to try out some variety cooking. Cleaning inside the fryer itself is bit time consuming, but overall a great addition to the kitchen.
Our ancient actifry finally died which is why we bought this one. Better quality chips in this one, we thoughtought it was the potatoes we were using in the old one that made them start to break up during cooking but it turns out it was the machine, no such issues with this one. It’s really easy to set with automatic timings for certain foods, just two button presses to set the chips cooking. Easy adjustment of time with + and – buttons.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this machine, we are really happy with it.

Can only use frozen food not good for freshly made by yourself as the powers will come out from the cracker as someone as mentioned but I didn’t take this seriously. The moving paddle is not good for fish which will be broken easily.
Very easy to store and clean however the blade needs manual cleaning as food stuff sticks. Has taken me several cooks to get the right sized chips as we like them. The flavouring is different to standard deep fried chips but chicken pieces cut to the right size and dipped in flour n egg is succulent and enjoyable. Good luck
I’d been searching for an actifry for a while. I’d been put off due to the price and size of them. Although it is bulky, it doesn’t look out of place in my kitchen. I bought it when it had 80 off which was a bonus. So far I’ve only made chips in there which I’ve done on quite a few occasions which have been beautiful. I will be trying some of the recipes that came with it soon. Well worth the price.
Now this is the very BEST YOU CAN BUY. I love all that it’s able to cook, Mostly chips, I normally do NOT eat chips BUT Actifry chips are to absolutely die for next to no oil & it cooks to perfection. Ideal for so many meals I’d NEVER want to be WITHOUT mine I LOVE it. ONLY TEFAL ACTIFRY genius CAN DO IT.. I tried another make but wasn’t up to much.. THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST.
Well, I was wrong this is an excellent machine which makes chips with little or no oil which my husband says are the best he’s had for a long time. It is very easy to use and sooo easy to clean. No more deep fat fryers…result!
It doesn’t cook potato shapes (kids letters/stars etc) or fishfingers well – it turns them into crispy mush! But it does the chips and chicken nuggets perfectly! Very happy!
Sausages are amazing cooked with this, because it constantly moves them around.
It’s a much safer option than using an oven for people with disabilities.
The first dish I cooked was Oriental Beef; easy and quick. I’ve cooked chicken tikka (the ActiFry was the messiest with this), potatoes as chips, wedges and roast, all great. Also a dish with scallops chorizo and rice, and a risotto!
My reason for purchasing was to use my job/oven less as only two of us living at home now.
The Genius model has some pre set cooking times, thus far I’ve only used the chip one, when used for all 3 types of potato dish. It can cater for up to 8 covers, I’ve certainly not tested that volume.
It is easy to clean; I always clean the pan by hand and tend to soak it after use. The mixer always seems to need a soak and sometimes I clean in dishwasher.
It is quite a large object, but I’m sure it saves on energy in comparison with using hob/oven. And of course you can leave and do other things while it cooks.
There are plenty of recipes around, including more healthy eating.
My new best friend; enough said.
