Handles, Lids and Knobs
Comfort Max’s handle is made of Bakelite. Bakelite will not burn when exposed to heat, along with these characteristics and it’s ability to be molded make it an ideal material for knobs and handles on cookware. Bakelite is used as a material on many of Tefal‘s ranges because of it’s hard wearing qualities. Comfort Max feature ergonomic soft touch and stay cool handles for comfortable grip and easy handling without the risk of burning hands.
On the Comfort Max range all items are oven safe up to 175 Celsius, Gas 4, 350 Fahrenheit for up to 1 hr. This means that you can start your cooking on the stove and finish it off in the oven. The stewpot, the sautepan and all saucepans, come with glass lids, with vents. The benefit of a glass lids is the ease of which you can keep an eye on your cooking, ensuring that nothing is burning or drying out. The vent on the lid allows you to release a controlled amount of steam without removing the lid. Highly visible measuring marks are also available for an accurate cooking on lidded products.

Not happy with frypan as eggs stick and leave marks even with oil
Really happy with my new non stick induction set of pots and pans.
To be fair they are good. I like them and the cooking is fast and food doesn’t stick. I would not expect anything more.

Very good pan, don’t put in dishwasher to clean or nonstick coating may come off.
I like the pans, they’re comfy to hold and work well. Not great to clean when you’ve made a sauce though.

I have been using the Tefal pans for a few weeks now and they are truly the best pans I have ever purchased, Tefal is a name we can all trust, as for longevity , I think these pans will last many a year, they are of exceptional quality, would most definately recommend the Tefal range of pots abd pans.

although normally we avoid items made in china, in fact these were bought to replace a set bought about 4 weeks before from there, these were made there but tefal must have directed the manufacturing process, good quality all round, they feel quality.

No lid on smallest pan , however all pans nice and sturdy.
All the handles are secure and heat free along with the pan lids on the two larger pans.

Very sturdy good quality saucepan. It is heavy compared to other saucepans I have had but perhaps that is how induction needs to be. Very good value and I suspect it will last a long time too.
Bought these pans to use on our new electric cooker – and they are great.
Heat distribution is good, feel very solid and handles are very ‘grippy’.

Always expect good quality from Tefal products and this one doesn’t disappoint. I cannot comment on durability as I have only just started using the pan but am sure if care is taking cleaning that I will last for many years.
Good value for money. The heat distribution is good, and they work with my induction hob. The two fry pans are coated and are easy to clean, the three pans are stainless and so far have been very good.
This review is for the 28cm wok. I have used it a few times now and am very pleased with it. The wok has a heavy base for good heat distribution. The non stick surface is easy to cook with and to clean.
Really good set of pan for the ‘home cook’. They are not professional chefs pans but you know what, they are not far off! They look great, non-stick on the frying pans is superb just make sure you use silicone or wooden utensils and the saucepans really good with great heat distribution. My only gripe (and I know it’s not supposed to have one) but the milk pan would be better with a lid, just because they are all on show on a pot stand and would look better with a lid.

Cannot fault these pans at this price point. Good quality material and comfy handle. Right size & easy to clean. Coat the surface with thin layer of cooking oil before using for first time for best results.

These pans work perfectly with our new induction hob. The pans heat very quickly. The rubberized feeling handles are very comfortable to hold and do not heat up. Overall the pans seem very well made as expected from a Tefal product.

Great starting set for a new home owner with an induction hob.
I’m very happy with the purchase, as I have been when using Tefal pans over the years. Most of my frying pans have been Tefal in the past, and I decided to get this set after my previous frying pan was showing signs of wear and tear after many uses (it was still working fine). This set has a pair of frying pans, which are identical apart from the difference in size. The handles have a good grip, as do the other three pans, and importantly the part you hold is raised above the level of the top of the pan. This matters particularly if you are using multiple pans on top of your oven at the same time, with lower handles being prone to becoming very hot to the touch. No such problem with any of these five Tefal pans. The pan handles all have a hole at the end, should you wish to hang them up to save storage space. The frying pans have proven to be non-stick after several uses each.
The saucepans and milkpan are excellent too, a good variety of sizes as well. The smallest of them, the milkpan, does not come with a lid but does not really need it for heating small amounts of liquid. I tend to use it for boiling eggs and not much else, and it can handle several eggs and heats up quickly. I like that the lids on the saucepans are not round, but more ergonomically designed to allow you to grip them better. I often reduce frozen blackcurrants in my saucepans and this tends to leave a quite sticky purple residue all over the bottom of the pan. It’s also quite a good indicator with regards to how easy a pan is to clean. These Tefal saucepans pass the test as a bit of washing up liquid and water gets them clean without too much effort. Poor quality saucepans would be far more difficult to get clean if covered in blackcurrant residue.
All in all, hard to find fault with these pans and I would recommend them.
For the price this is really good essential set! Only thing is I found a bit hard to clean the fry pans they get burn easily.
Very pleased with this set of pans. Hadn’t realised I was moving into a flat with Halogen hob which meant I had a lot of pots and pans to get rid of. But these are so lovely to look at, not too heavy and just the right sizes for everything I need. It was actually quite a change to get a brand new set as I’d had my old ones for years. They arrived very quickly too.
It’s been two weeks and still as good as new.
Really large, surface gets warmed up pretty uniformly (induction, large field), base is study and heavy, sides rather thinner – but that is OK. A lot of useful surface area – love it.

I was desperate for a new pan set and this one is worth the money. The pans are good quality and haven’t burnt on the bottom yet. The frying pans are non stick and have lasted really well
These pans are very well made and solid. Handles do not get hot, if you use a bit of oil on the steel ones then things don’t stick at all. The coating is excellent and eggs slide off the pan.

Good value but not recommended for use in a dishwasher. It says that they should be washed by hand. However I am not buying a dishwasher to still wash by hand. We are still using the dishwasher.

Really lovely quality pans.
They do mark quite easily.. I can see which on I have cooked rice in through marks on the bottom of the pan even with intense cleaning.

As a set I’d recommend getting one extra pan- a large one as they aren’t particularly large but work for us.

I wouldn’t usually buy a Tefal because of day’s of old, non stick surface would wear very quickly etc etc,… But a fresh new look, Fantastic, I was absolutely delighted with it, off it wasn’t for the red circle in the middle you wouldn’t of thought it. Great, just the right size for me, the construction of is second to none.

Much better than the standard black non stick ones , you can feel the weight difference and the don’t leave watermarks on the outside which I was expecting , much better value for money if you get it while on sale

This is the second we have purchased in our house. Kids take them to University. Good selection of pans and great price.
Good set of pans. A little small for cooking potatoes or pasta in for a family of hungry teenagers but good for vegetables, baked beans, sauces, melting chocolate etc. The frying pans are just the right size for frying eggs or baking pancakes.
I especially love the tiny pot, it’s great for hard boiled eggs and warm milk 🙂

Product worked well with the induction hob and a good set of pans, although the biggest one still seemed quite small. After one use there was quite a bit of markings left in the base despite cleaning and only using to boil an egg. Not bad for the price for a starter set which was needed

Got it for a good price. Initially I burned averything with it on my induction fob, then realized that as it has a thick steel bottom it adopts the induction waves a lot better than my old one, so I just lowered the power of my fob. Hence the 4 stars.

Despite notes from Amazon that it might take time, the set of Stainless Steel Tefal pans arrived ahead of the indicated delivery date. These are great pans, comfortable to use, and well balanced. They clean really easily, in and out of the dishwasher. Note that the stainless steel does discolour slightly inside, but this is natural, and does not detract from how good these pans are, and look. This is the second set of these Tefal pans I have bought (first set was from Tesco). The original set was only the 3 saucepans. This second set from Amazon was slightly cheaper, and includes the 2 frying pans, which are non-stick coated. A great deal, and I would thoroughly recommend them.
OMG, love this set! I bought pans before that were red and they are just ruined after a few months so ive gone with the stainless steel set for our induction hob! Deffo recommend! great quality for the price!
