We wouldn’t be without this super little camera. You can move it into which ever room your baby is in. Sound and picture are clear. Helps to keep piece of mind whilst your baby is napping and you can do a few chores round the house, without having to keep rushing into the room to check their ok.
This does the job fine. The picture quality isn’t great but clear enough to see child. The sound isn’t the best so I use it along side a regular monitor.
Bottom line, it’s fine for a cheap monitor that does the job. If you’re expecting HD quality this is not for you
We had several baby monitors but this one has been the best by far.
The ability to put it in sleep mode so it only comes on as and when baby moves/makes a sound means the battery lasts all night when not plugged in…….. and you don’t have a bright screen keeping you awake.

It’s really handy that the baby monitor has room temperature reading. The picture is fairly clear but not crystal clear on night mode. Screen size is perfect. The volume could be louder, have it on the highest and can be a bit hard to hear sometimes. The battery doesn’t last ages on the monitor when not connected to the mains. Fair price and does the job.
At a fraction of the cost of more well known brands we have been using this baby monitor for around 18months and I’m glad we bought this one. The charger wire broke and stopped working but any mini USB charger works. The sound is clear(clear enough to know a baby is screaming) and the picture quality is good enough to know whether baby or toddler is laying the right way etc. The battery lasted around 4-5 hours with the screen permantly on when new but it lasts around 2-3 now its 18month old. It gets charged every day and has been on every night all night so that’s not too bad. The tunes were good to sooth the baby when he was younger and we use the talk function to tell him to lie down which he can hear clearly now. All in all we are very happy with this monitor. Don’t be drawn into buying an expensive one as this will probably do the Job just fine. Hopefully it’ll last for the next baby too.
So happy I bought this monitor! Was abit skeptical as it’s rather cheap in terms of monitors! But it works brilliantly, reaches outside if I need to pop out to the bin no problem. My old audio only one always cut out as soon as I got out the door; but this one has no issues. Takes no set up really other than charging the parent unit, which was fully charged in just a few hours! I have only been using it for one evening so far, so I can’t comment on the durability or battery life; but even if both are rubbish, for the price I am more than happy! Definitely worth it to have the ability to see, hear, speak and play music for my baby!
So this was recommended through hours of looking through reviews. And how right they were. If you looking for all singing all dancing baby monitors then this is not for you. However if you’re happy that this will pick up your child when unsettled or crying with no issues then this is for you. The picture is of good quality even using night vision. The vox mode is good especially if you want to save money and also not be kept up all night with a screen constantly on. Couldnt recommend this enough.
Had a few problems with the first monitor I ordered but second one works perfectly. Battery life isn’t as good as I thought it was going to be but still gets a few hours use without having to plug in once fully charged.
Customer service has been really good sorting out the return for the first monitor and getting a second one sent out.

Exactly what we were looking for, easy to use, the night vision is really good, you can increase or decrease the sound. I removed one small star for the battery life, but it is a great product anyway
This camera changed my life! Had a noise monitor beforehand, then this changed everything.
You can see and hear everything even at night, plus you can play music and even talk to your kid (first couple of times my kid was a bit freaked by that lol).
You have a sleep mode that once they’re asleep it will only come on when they move or make noise. At night I have to turn volume down to 2 as I’m a light sleeper so I woke up every time there was noise but you’ll work it out yourself.
For the price it really is an amazing camara
Have Had 3 m of the same well known branded video monitors all broke, if your on here looking at this then you will probably know which make I mean.
This for the price is amazing it’s just as good if not better than my previous ones haven’t had an issue with it yet.
Only downside is the camera is static, so can’t turn it from the monitor which was about the only plus to my old one.
Other than that very good value good quality, wish I had found this first and not trusted a well known baby brand just because I thought it was better quality it really was not, I could have saved myself a lot of time and money.
Really great product for a really great price. We bought on the recommendation of another parent. The night vision is excellent – so etching I know more expensive products had mixed reviews about. We thought we had a problem with the monitor – tenboo Uk were amazing. They responded immediately to my email and sent a replacement out (in the current lockdown for Covid-19). Turned out we didn’t need one. I have recommended this to anyone I know who is looking for a video monitor.
With so many of these kinds of monitors available I really took my time when choosing this monitor.
We have been using this for a year now and I am pleased with its overall functionality. The night vision is extremely clear and the microphone pics up all the coos and burbles from our little one.
As other people have said the battery life does drop off a bit over time however when it isn’t plugged in it’s always got enough charge to cover a nap. We tend to leave it plugged in over night.
Overall a very good product and I wouldn’t hesitate if recommending.
After researching for a video monitor, I stumbled across this one. After looking at the reviews, I decided to give it a go. Brilliant little monitor with good quality screen. W’ve had no signal issues even though babe sleeps the other side of the house. Only negatives would be monitor battery life – I put it on charge over night so no issue and also the noises on start up – totally unnecessary and can wake baby if not careful.
This is a great video monitor, the picture isn’t great, but then I wouldn’t expect it to be unless I paid silly money for a video monitor.
The lullaby feature is by far best part of this particular version. The first time my wife got this set up and tested it out she was weeping for a good while at all of the different songs, and the excitement coming our way
Don’t use much as I live in A tiny place but the range seems good, the quality of picture is great if you look at the screen directly, night vision is great too, battery is also good.
Plug camera in to wherever baby is and it’s got good flexibility and not flimsy. (So far anyway)
The screen is great with a wee bit at the back for it to stand, it’s got one of the screens that you can only see it properly from the front but the quality is great and the mic pics up noise from ages away! I can hear myself talking from the mic in the baby room from the screen I’ve got ! Really rate this – will be great and needed for new house
I found this monitor really useful. I’ve looked after a lot of children over the years and found this monitor useful in that I can see if the baby is awake rather than just making noises in their sleep. The night vision is good but the picture can blur a bit at times. The battery lasts over night and beyond. the only thing I found difficult was setting up the date/time etc as the instructions were a bit unclear. Overall value for money.
Excellent product. Only fault is when covering blue light when on then night vision doesn’t work so some blue light facing baby whilst sleeping. Also make sure to turn in both products before putting baby to sleep so beep and initial music doesn’t wake baby. Otherwise excellent product with great night visio
After looking at several baby monitors with camera I opted for this one & I’m really pleased with it. It’s a good price & so easy to set up & use. The camera gives full view of the cot & the monitor provides a clear picture. I already have an audible baby monitor but being able to see my young grandchildren when they stay with us is very reassuring & gives us peace of mind. It’s not ‘all singing’ as some others on the market but it does what we want it to do. I particularly like that it has its it’s own monitor rather than using an app on your phone. The camera is easy to position manually (it doesn’t have a rotate function on the parent unit) & the screen size is big enough to see what you need to. I’m very happy with my purchase & would definitely recommend.
Positively surprised about the night vision. Connecting was no problem at all. It does exactly what we want it to do for a fair price.
Some reviewers mentioned an annoying blue light and I confirm that light exists and it is annoying – but only when the camera is switched on but the receiver is not. So no big deal.
Not used in anger yet (baby not arrived) but i did use it one evening in the toddler’s room. Clear picture, even on night vision, and the signal kept really well over the other side of our (Brick) house where the big named counterpart from the last time didn’t do so well.
Oh my god this worked a charm! You don’t need a big brand baby monitor, this is amazing and simple to use. I really needed a Camera that could turn and bend to position itself to see inside the cot as previous cameras didn’t tilt down enough and this was perfect. I also bought some sticky Velcro pads to stick the camera to higher places.
The picture quality for day is brilliant the Volume is great the mic picks up little sounds however the night vision could use some improvement but it’s still very good.
The temperature gauge is very accurate, it matches my groegg room thermometer.
Also you don’t need to connect to WiFi for this to work! Which was brilliant as baby’s room is in the loft so when I was in the kitchen it still worked!
TIP: The camera needs a constant power supply so I positioned the two leads (camera one and monitor one) in separate places, So all I need to do is move the camera head.
i had a motorola before it lasted 5 years but even after changing the battery it stopped working. I did not want to spend the same amount of money so purchased the tenboo, the picture is a lot better quality the monitor is quite small but the picture frame is the same size, only con the microphone sound is not the best, and there is no rotation of the camera so you will need to put the camera in the right position at the start. Could do without the music at the start but you just need to adjust the sound to minimum before turning it off. very pleased with this little monitor for half the price would i recommend it : yes
This replaced our old and tired baby monitor which didn’t have a screen like this one. We had a good look around to get the best monitor for the money with security of the device been at the top of our list. The set up of this device is very easy to use with a helpful and basic on screen display to help you through the settings. The big positive with this device is you don’t need to hook the monitor up to the Internet to work as the camera speaks direct to the monitor which means only you can see the feed. The monitor can be used without plugging it into the wall providing it is charged prior, a fully charged monitor will last for around 4-5 days of night use in the VOX mode. VOX is the activation of the camera when either your baby makes a noise or moves which turns the camera on for a period of 20 seconds up to 2 minutes ( You can set this timeframe to a timing inbetween this range). If you turn the VOX mode off the monitor will constantly be on, we don’t have this setting on to save the battery life. The screen displays the battery level, temp of the babies room, signal strength, and date and time. You can play lullabies which are built into the device as well as speak or sing to your baby VIA the microphone/speaker. The only downfall with this device is the camera needs to be plugged into the wall and can’t be used in a charged method like the monitor, this is the only negative though in my opinion. The day/night camera is adjusted automatically dependant on the light levels, the camera can be moved 360 but this has to be done manually and can’t be done remotely. The camera quality is very good and the resolution is that impressive you can even see your baby breathing with the rise and fall of their chest. The quality of the image will degrade dependant on the distance between each object and the thickness of the walls, we have 10 metres between and the as mentioned the image is very good. All in all I would highly recommend this product and well worth the 70.
Nice and neat little baby camera that is inexpensive and does what it needs to. The night vision is fine as is the sound quality.
It does need a mount though, and the screen is quite small. Battery life for the monitor isnt great so you do need the charger.
Some tips – don’t have the volume on if you have the monitor near the camera as it echoes really badly. The battery life on the monitor isnt great – it just about lasts for a few hours but the charging cable is long so keep it connected.
Since getting this product I feel so much calmer about leaving my baby to nap upstairs whilst I get in with housework downstairs. Both sound and picture quality of this product are great (I can hear pretty much everything going on in his nursery and see for myself how soundly (or not!) my baby is sleeping). I’ve not yet needed to use the feature where I can speak to my baby through the unit, but I think it’s handy to have this option.
Only downside of this product is its battery life, but it’s got so many positive things about it that it’s easy to overlook this one thing (and just remember to charge it between naps!).
Overall, I’m very happy with our purchase and have already suggested it to some friends who are expecting
Would definitely recommend. Picture quality is very good, no issues with that at all. Battery life is only a few hours so a small mark down for that but the charger cable is very long so not too limiting where you have the monitor to look at. Very easy to set up and use.

We have an expensive WiFi connected camera already but wanted a second one for travelling that works on mains/battery incase you get poor WiFi abroad!
So far I’m really impressed and actually think it’s better value than our Lollipop which has lots of fancy features we don’t use.
The only downside vs lollipop is that lollipop is so easy to fix to the cot at the angle you want but we spent 15 and bought a camera holder for this one that works great.
Love this for all the reasons listed in all the other reviews but after 3 months the (very bright) screen has started to come on of its own accord & this is waking us up at night time not the baby! Currently placing it face down to cut out some of the glare but not ideal.
Camera does everything you need it to. With our first we had an expensive “M” brand before hand and had to return the unit twice, it eventually stopped working out of the warranty so it was game over.
There is a very slight delay in the picture and sound but this is the same as the other one we had… You are never going to get instant sound and images.
The unit is thinner and lighter that other models with a good battery life.
VOX mode works well.
Yes there is a little very short tune when you start it up but you’ll just have it on VOX mode all night as the battery easily lasts all night. If you do turn the unit on and off alot, the tune is not annoying.
We find that the unit it loud enough and has a good range.
One issue we had was the charger packed in quite quickly however this was sorted by amazon very quickly.
This unit does appear to be a generic camera and monitor set with a few different makes offering it, I imagine they all have a lightly different software but i am of the opinion that the software on this make works well and issues are resolved quickly.
Does eveything we need at a fraction of the price compared to other units that packed up on us twice! At least with this it’s only been the charger (so far)
Really love this product, so helpful for putting my son to sleep, he really loves the music. Unfortunately this product has all of a sudden just stopped working, the monitor is fine but the camera will not turn on at all. As this is still under warranty (purchased November 2018) I would love a replacement or a repair so I can continue using this lovely product.
Solid, lightweight, great battery and the built in music option has proved a success. Clear image for both day and night.
In this era of smart phones and tablets the settings interface is dated but don’t let that put you off as you are buying the camera. Would be nice if the music option had a volume control or timer fade out.
Good quality camera at a reasonable price. Plays music and can see the temperature/time on it. I did have a problem with it as the stand broke but they sent me out a replacement. They did try to charge me 20 for this but they then waived it rightly so. I recommend if looking for a good reasonable priced camera. However you do need to charge the monitor every night as the battery runs low quickly.
A great little baby monitor, the screen is a good size and the picture is very clear. I am most impressed with the battery power as a previous monitor I have purchased elsewhere must always be carried around with the charger due to poor battery life. All round a great purchase and perfect for keeping a close eye in our baby girl.
I would definitely recommend this baby monitor.
I put my baby in her cot sometimes in the day and she grunts alot and I can hear her through the monitor, also for example I am down stairs washing up and you can hear it through the monitor which is coming from the camera upstairs. Brilliant camera as no matter what angle the camera is you can see everything and know if your baby has there eyes open or closed.
I’ve left it a couple of months before writing a review on this. I bought it because it had good ratings and most reviews were positive whilst being fairly well priced.
It’s a great baby monitor. I don’t use the music, for us that’s a wasted feature. Picture quality is great, any better would be pointless. Sound is fine, we turn it full blast when we’re awake and to half when we’re asleep, easily hear it from the next room and over tv etc. at full blast.
VOX setting lets you sleep next to it in the dark and only lights up when noise is detected. If you like the picture all the time hit the VOX button and it turns that off.
It doesn’t bother me but my other monitor has no delay on the sound, this has about 2 seconds.
Some reviews said the battery was poor but our battery lasts for several hours.
Good quality in many respects .. good price … good screen … easy set up .. small but effective screen and battery life is good too. Various settings which I have not examined yet but on the whole I would really recommend it.
This camera does the job, but it’s blue operating light is a bit too bright… my baby is a bit scared of it at the beginning. I let her played and chewed it for several times until she knows it can’t do anything to her. But she still stares at it vigilantly from time to time… lol
I looked around a fair bit before I decided upon this monitor, I had looked at some of the reviews which mentioned a time delay on the sound which made me a little sceptical at first but I decided to go for this monitor anyway after looking at some others and not seeing any reason to purchase them over this.
I can tell you that I am very happy with my purchase, whilst there is a slight delay on the audio it is milliseconds and nothing to worry about, it sounds like an echo when the receiver is close enough that you can hear the little one. The picture quality is good and the night vision feature means that we don’t need to worry in the evening as we are still able to see. We have the camera relatively far away (circa 3m) from the cot but are still able to clearly see everything.
Its very useful to be able to check in whenever a noise is made and periodically to check everything is OK whilst in another room, before having the monitor we were on edge that every noise might be something, going to check and sometimes waking the little one up.
Long and short I would happily recommend this monitor to anyone who is looking.

Left the monitor to change for 12hrs+ like most monitors suggest and the battery life lasts ages!! So far it’s gone down one bar in 4hrs!!!
Cons:
The sound is a few seconds delayed, which is very annoying as I have an echo of her cry from hearing Through the walls then the monitor 🙁
No volume control on the lullabies.
Temperature shows very different to the gro egg and wall thermometer.
Parent monitor has two bright lights that are on for the battery and VOX mode, can’t turn them off so shows up bright at night.
I saw a lot of the reviews mentions the light on the baby’s camera, I personally don’t think it’s that bright and doesn’t effect baby’s sleep.
For me i use it to see rather than hear, so it’s perfect for us.
* super easy to set up.
* Night vision is excellent – we can clearly see toddler snoring away even in her very dark room with black out blinds.
* clarity in daylight is also clear and in colour – the voice function is also phoneline quality clear.
* the tilt camera is great, we have this on top of the wardrobe have manually tilted down at perfect angle. We’ve secures it with a sticky pad so we can move it later but there’s also two screw holes so it could be attached to a wall etc. It’s manual tilt, you can’t control this from the parent device but realistically you’re probably only going to have this fixed on the bed so not a problem.
* distance wise, the camera is in a room at the back of the house and I’ve taken the parent box to the end of our front driveway approx 10 meters from the house, through external brick wall and still works perfectly.
* battery life is fantastic. We leave it on charge during the day and the battery lasts 7pm -7am overnight.
* the lullabies are nice, we turn them on in the morning from the comfort of our bed to act as a alarm clock to wake toddler up.
*cable for both parent device and camera are long, reaches round the wardrobe no problem.
* wide angle camera lens – we have this above the bed on top of a wardrobe and the camera covers her whole bed, along side the bed and door – largely depends on where you fix the camera I guess?!
* absolute bargain. Brilliant price for brilliant monitor.
I was looking for a camera monitor to replace our non camera Motorola one & didn’t want to spend a fortune.
I purchased this from all the good reviews and I have to say I’m so glad I did! Its invaluable! The picture quality is great and the sound can even pick up her breathing.
The only things I miss from the old one are the fact you can turn on the sounds for example on the bit in the room, rather than the monitor screen. Plus an added night light would come in handy.
But to be honest, for the price and camera quality these are small things we can live without.
The monitor is easy to use and to set up, however I find the camera does move because of how the wire sits.
Also there is a delay in sound from when people cry’s to when it reaches the monitor.
It’s a shame that you can’t move the camera from the monitor, it’s a good monitor for the price.
Very happy with this baby monitor. After a long time searching and thinking it could not be any good as it was half price of the other top name ones I’m glad I decided to try it. The screen is plenty big enough, it shows the temperature on screen and the sound is amazing. It has excellent picture quality and gives plenty of notice when the battery is low. When the camera is plugged into the charger it does fall over as it’s top heavy but with a little manipulation will stand up. Sings lullabies and you can speak to your baby to give reassurance. Very happy and would definitely recommend to others.
Good little product for the price. The battery life on the parent unit would benefit from being longer. Picture quality is okay, however, due to the type of screen you have to view from certain angles, especially at night, to get a clear view of the image. If you are not looking for anything fancy this does the job just fine.
At night time you can easily press a button so that the screen will only light up if the camera picks up any noise.
I have never had a problem with the battery life as I keep the monitor plugged in by my bedside during the night, and my baby naps for about two hours at a time during the day so I just keep the monitor in my pocket, the monitor picks up even the slightest noise so I can easily hear if my baby wakes up.

This is a superb baby monitor outperforming our previous one from leading brand. Doesn’t allow you to remotely move the camera (we very rarely used this function anyway on previous one) and sometimes a slight delay on sound as mentioned by others BUT don’t let this put you off. The battery life is very good. The big benefit is its VOX function that means screen goes into standby to reserve battery and comes on if it detects sound or motion. We also really like the size as it is smaller than others we have had but we prefer it. Sits in hand one hand easily and doesn’t take up too much space. Very portable. Higy recommended.
I think this is a quality product for the price – the screen is nice and big and is clear. It has the option for the monitor to always be on or only pick up when it detects sound which I’ve found a really helpful funtion to have. We’ve had no problems with it – the connection has always been perfect and it is as simple as it could be to set up- just switch it on from out of the box and it works!
The added function of the music to soooth your baby is a nice thought but the sound quality isn’t too great but this isn’t a problem as we don’t need it. The song choices are interesting!
Battery life is great if it only activates after picking up sound To turn the camera on. It lasts about 2.5 hours if the camera is on all the time which isn’t too bad I think.
Night vision is clear enough to see what your monster is up to – we have our camera about 2 metres away from his cot and can see everything fine.
There’s a small delay which creates an echo effect when the camera picks up sound- again this isn’t a bother particularly as you can turn down the baby monitor screen if it bothers you.

I’d been using my sister’s old baby montior for 18months or so.. bit old but did the job. It started playing up a while ago so purchased a motorola one for about 80. Can’t remember what model. Even though it was more recent than one i’d been using, the motorola one was terrible, awful picture and incredibly laggy, jerking video. Sent back to Amazon for refund. Purchased replacement bits for old one off ebay. That kept us going for another year….finally broken for good though.
I purchased this as it had some positive reviews. but I wasn’t expecting much for the money. Picture quality is very good though, and nightvision is nice and clear. Overall much better than my old one (as you’d expect given old one was a 2010 model). Sound is good, not crystal clear but who needs that. Battery life good too. Only slightly annoying thing is that it takes an old USB Mini-B cable to charge it. That’s a depricated format. Obviously you get a charger with it, but if that goes kaput not many people are likely to have old Mini-B cables lay about.
Other than that it was a great purchase for the price. Guess you can get HD and all sort these days, but it’s a baby monitor, doesn’t need to be!
Great product, picture quality good but a little grainy at times when night screen not active. VOX is excellent and saves on battery life – this activates when baby makes noise rather than movement, which would also be useful if you have a wriggler! I only charge the screen every 4-5 days as long as VOX is closed so saving the screen life.
The camera part is small and sturdy and currently tied into baby’s crib rather than wall mounted as he not yet in his own room so don’t want to drill into our wall if only there for another month! Big enough that we can see most of him in the crib and sure it will be excellent once on the wall.
Only concern is when you activate the music you cannot hear the baby cry which is a bit of a fail so need to open the VOX to check baby is ok.
In summary, a less expensive product which does the same job as other more pricy brands that we just weren’t willing pay for. Very happy with the product – would recommend based on above comments.
Only tested out until next month when we will use full time. Picture quality seems very clear and night vision also very clear. The sound quality is good the only thing I would say is that if you play the lullaby music you have to listen to it on both monitors not just baby’s. I was a bit unsure as to purchase this as I hadn’t heard of the name but very pleased with it and a fraction of the price of some others I was looking at. Design and look are very smart and not bulky. Would Definatley recommend to friends.
The baby monitor arrived on time and came with 2 power supplies a wired camera and a wireless monitor. The wireless monitor screen in efficient and the batteries last long. The camera is also very good even at night. I have been using the monitor in different rooms of the house and even if the wire of the camera is long sometimes was not long enough to reach to socket, but nothing affecting the product performances. Overall a very good product.
Extremely easy to set up, literally just a button. Even my missus managed to get it working!!! After setting up it works like a charm.
The picture quality is brilliant regardless of the light conditions. Don’t expect 4k quality but you will see when your loved one does that funny face before a shart!
The quality of the sound is a bit too artificial especially when you talk through the microphone. It sounds like a train driver is talking to you. Although nothing unexpected and it’s still a good feature of the product.
We only use it in a small flat but there has been no issues with connectivity.
The microphone on the camera is VERY sensitive. You can hear everything what happens in the nursery (or 2-3 blocks away for that matter). You will know when to change your baby’s nappy cause even the slightest fart comes through.
The battery of the hand held unit lasts very long! After all the reviews that it only lasts a few minutes I was surprised to find out it can work hours!!
All in all you don’t need to look any further for your baby monitor! This bad boy will work seamlessly in any condition making sure your baby is safe and sound.

This is a very good monitor with clear image both day and night, and v good sound quality. My son loves playing with the parent unit and flicking through the melodies. The interface isn’t the most intuitive to use but the options are limited so it’s not like you can get ‘lost’ in the settings. Super handy that you can turn on ‘vox’ mode which keeps the parent unit/screen off until the monitor picks up a sound in the baby’s room. I’ve taped over the bright blue LED on the camera/baby unit because it was so bright.
Overall perfectly happy with this.
I did a lot of research before buying this camera as my budget was limited to around 70 – 80.
I found this and at first, I was a bit hesitant because, at 63.99 and all the features it had, it seemed too good to be true.
On using the camera, it is very easy to set up. Has an amazing range, my home has 3 floors and plenty of electrical devices dotted around.
The camera quality is very good and the screen is nice and big.
Offers more than other cameras of the same and much higher price! I was recommended the BT cameras but this is half the price and twice as good!
Great quality picture and has nice features like thermometer. Haven’t used the microhpone or music but I have found the music quite loud, not sure if it is possible to reduce the volume. Also one annoying thing is that if you tilt the device at its max towards the floor, then the infrared (at night) reflects on the stand/camera lens and we pretty much can’t see anything as a consequence. Other than that, battery is very good.

The picture quality with light or in the dark is really good. The two parts of it are very light to carry and its design is simple and easy to use.
The only downside to me is the signal range which is not as powerful as I thought it will be (weaker than our previous baby monitor which was also supposed to offer a 300 m signal range). A longer electric cord could also be helpful in my opinion.
After searching around to buy my 1st baby monitor i finally came across this which had good reviews. I am glad i ended up buying it as i must say i like it. The picture quality is clear. Screen is a good size of 3.2″. The sound quality is good. I love the fact that i can talk to my son through the monitor with the 2 way talk feature. He stops crying thinking i am near by as i call his name through the mic he can hear me through the speaker on the camera. I cant say much about the battery life yet. Would have been nice to have a chargeable camera instead of always having to have the camera plugged in for it to work. However good buy, exactly what i wanted and needed. I would recommend buying this monitor to others.
Bought this to replace our Motorola baby monitor. This monitor is cheaper, but despite that the picture quality is excellent, sound seems good too, and we’ve had no problems with range. The battery life is much better too.
Couple of annoyances – the blue LED on the front is really bright and quite pointless, just lights up the room – we’ve covered it with some black tape. And also when turning on the camera it beeps, and turning on the monitor it plays a tune – again, why? All that does is wakes up the baby! So we have to make sure they’re switched on before putting to sleep.
Despite the annoyances, it’s still better than the (more expensive) Motorola so would definitely recommend
Bought this monitor to keep half an eye on our toddler as she moved into a bed and new baby needed our audio monitor.
It’s a decent video monitor for the lower price bracket . The daytime/fully lit picture quality is nice and clear – not pin sharp, but good for the price. The night time/infra red picture is much grainier, as expected tbh, but still good enough to tell what’s going on in the room.
There is a slight delay between the camera and parent unit that causes some frustration and this is where I have given fewer stars. The delay causes no problem with the picture, but creates a clear echo over the audio. If parent unit and monitor are too close together this will cause a quickly building feedback loop that can get very loud and crash the unit. The echo can also be confusing when trying to hear what our DD is asking us if she calls out.
Given the lower price, the unit works well. It meets our needs and we can clearly see what’s going on in the toddler’s room, communicate with her, etc.
Very much a case of you get what you pay for with regard to quality though.
Having shopped around for ages for a monitor, I’m glad I bought this one. The price is really good, it’s easy to set up and has very good picture and sound quality. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that there is a really annoying jingle when you first switch on the parent unit and there doesn’t seem to be a way to turn down the volume of the lullabies and they’re very loud. Happy with it overall though!
I really like the vox function, the screen can be permanently on, or just flash on when the baby moves / makes sounds. It is very receptive. Volume goes quite loud if required, and the lottle blue lightothers have moaned about really isn’t an issue at all! The only other advice I can give is when setting up the camera into position, don’t under any circumstances have the monitor screen in the same room! The feedback interference noise is deafening!
The monitor does its job well and the picture is clear. The build quality of the parent monitor is good although I feel the flip out stand may break after time. The camera module is extremely light and the weight of the cable is enough to make it fall over. Hence, we have had to blue-tac the camera module to the cot to stop this. The main feature that is missing for us is that you can’t zoom in to the picture as we can with our tommee tippee closer to nature monitor. The volume out of the camera unit is also very loud and cannot be decreased. One of the cheapest out there so can’t complain too much.
It has given me peace of mind, the picture quality is good along with sound. I love that you can tap a button to play music.
The range for the connection is really good which I have tested out quite well with the day to day things I have to do around the home.
The only downside is the battery life doesn’t last long but I’m not surprised with what it has to do & also to remain compact & easy to move around.
I would still recommend this product as it’s easy to use & I’m impressed with it.
Brilliant product for my needs. I had a problem with one of the leads and the firm sorted it out very well and very promptly. Would highly recommend this monitor. The only improvement that I would recommend would be to incorporate a stand so I wouldn’t have to prop it up! Thank you.
Picture quality is very clear, including night vision with all the requisite info such as temperature etc. Size of the screen is ideal, bigger is not always better.
Audio is certainly not lacking clarity with 5 volumes (including mute – if you were so inclined!).
Battery length I can confirm to be at least 3+ hours (watched a movie and there was still some fuel in it’s tank).
Wirless distance is not a problem either as we have used it when out in the back garden whilst baby has been upstairs sleeping in the cot (circa 20 meters away with a few walls between).
Definitely recommend.
Like you I’m sure you’ve been trawling through the internet in the search for a quality, affordable video baby monitor. Honestly, look no further. It’s brilliant. Picture quality is brilliant in light and in darkness, and the sound is crisp all over our three bedroom house. I’ve walked down the garden and it’s just as good there. Honestly brilliant bit of kit.
Picture quality is decent, optimal distance of the camera is about 1-1.5m. In the night the visibility is even better than during the day. There is some red glow visible coming from the IR LED when camera gets activated in the night, but does not distract the baby. Blue led (camera activity indicator) is slightly too bright, could be more subtle or adjust to the ambient lighting, but I put some silver gluing tape over it and it is ok now.
With VOX on camera is mostly inactive, which makes it completely inactive in the night which is great.
Also, if you are concerned, camera does not make any noises when in gets activated.
Sound is ok, but sensitivity of VOX is not too high. However this limits amount of activation to the bare minimum, that is only when baby is crying or making some sounds.
It can play lullabies, no volume regulation though, however the default volume seems to be just fine.
Until now we haven’t enountered any connectivity issues so it’s fine in this regard.
Cables are quite long (around 2.5-3m) so no problem with this as well.
All in all very good product. We are quite happy with it.
We decided to get the same again because this is the best we’ve tried and we did try quite a few! This one is great, sturdy and at a very good price.
The only annoying bit is the blue light on the camera but I put some tape on it and it’s fine (and all baby monitor seem to have them).
So yes, I’d recommend this product!
So i opted for a monitor with lower quality image (although still acceptable) because it felt slightly sturdier.
