Does the job, very good value
Easy to set up and works perfectly. Sharp blades and long reach made pruning my ornamental cherry tree a piece of cake! Long cable means no extension lead in my smallish garden. It is a bit heavy when extended but unless you have a long hedge to trim, no real problem. All in all works well, good value and perfect for me.
No ladders involved thank goodness in cutting my hedges.
I had seen that advert too often and decided, I did not want pay their particular price, now I am am on the side of the hedge I want to be with regard to cutting my hedges at a price I can afford.
Pole hedge trimme
Liked the fact that I didn’t need to use ladders. Cut safely from ground level. Took half the time of normal hedge trimmer. Cut was very clean. As with most things need to read and understand safety instructions and let the strap take care of the weight. Very happy with product.
Good value hedge trimmer.
The Hedge Trimmer is a good value tool. The only problem I find is it’s too heavy and have to keep having a rest. But it does the job fine.

Decent trimmer and don’t get me wrong it does the job however its quite heavy and awkward to move around. The rotation does help on the unit but nonetheless it feels a little cumbersome
I like the price whilst on offer and it was easy to put together and operate but like all of these long reach hedge trimmers I just managed to handle it because of the weight . I am a reasonably fit pensioner aged 73 and when trimming vertically it was not too difficult , but most of my edges must be cut horizontally and holding up the trimmer was very tiresom and frequent rest were required .But as you can see by my pics I managed to cut as far as it would reach on the mixed hedge ( holly , sycamore and hawthorn ) . I think cutting vertically it managed about10mm and horizontal cutting a bit less . All things considered I rate this hedge trimmer and are glad I bought it having plenty of work for it in my quite large garden . The secret is to keep the hedges as low as possible and the new growth every year will be easier to cut .
very good trimme
I like the tool itself but couldnt manoever it , was very easy to put together though . I found it very heavy and virtually impossible to use , I am only 5.2″ so maybe these tools are made for men .

The product is very good ,good price ,happy with it .
Whenever anyone writes ‘great for the money’ you kind of think that it is not that good, but that is unfair.
It is easy to assemble, easy to disassemble, easy to use and cuts thicker branches that a hedge.
It is a little heavy when fully extended and you are in an awkward position and trying to maneuver around things .. so I would be happier if it were less than 1kg .. but you just have to stop, rest and continue.
However it does do what I need it to do which is to trim trees into shape, cut off the tops and reach reach places I can not get to with a hand trimmer. The strap works well to assist in maneuverability and the angle options allow me to be standing further back (because something is in the way) and use the changing head angles to get a flat top. It is this overstretching and holding so high up that makes it feel like it weighs more than it does .. if I could stand flat against a hedge and trim the top whilst resting it on my shoulder – it would be a doddle .. but then if I could to that I would probably just get two ladders and board and a hand cutter .. so this is a brilliant piece of equipment – and I doubt I would find anything I would be happier with – petrol might be more powersful, but I do not need more power, petrol may not have a cable, but the cable does not get in my way – it is just the weight that I am not so young, but an older or more frail person might struggle with.

This is a very useful addition to any garden with shrubs. It is slightly unwieldy and you need to put it down after about 10 minutes use to ease the aching muscles, but it does the job efficiently and quickly, so it’s not really a problem unless you’re very weak!

Fab gadget but quite heavy.
This tool has made cutting our very large hedge a doddle. It is heavy but I did it in small sections and it was still quick. I’m 5ft 2 with arthritic hands and still managed to use it. Stops me nagging the husband too….win for him!

Fantastic tool does what it says on the tin but be aware due to the nature of the tool it is very heavy after a few minutes use, worth every sweat drop tho as it soon cuts Thro the tasks

Trimmed my hedge, its about 8 ft tall. I’m 6ft2 and slim built. Not to heavy at all, found easy to use and cuts well enough. Happy with this
Does what it's designed for.
Efficiently does what one would expect of it, but I should have read earlier reviews about the weight of it. With the motor close to the cutting head it’s rather unwieldy at full extension if one is of ‘a certain age’. I fitted an additional strap (from an old sports bag) and that helped with controlling the weight. It’s OK for the younger and fitter person, but for me it’s not I’m afraid.
The machine itself is absolutely fine, but I’m going to have to look for a lighter machine.

I have a rather large hedge at the front of our house and it needed trimming. I wasn’t happy with the quote I got and decided I would tackle it myself! Having a look around at an extendable trimmer the Terratek seemed great value for money!
I can confirm it did a fabulous job on the hedge allowing me to keep the hedge around 8ft tall but nice and neat too! Our hedge does have rather thin branches I do believe it would struggle on anything over 1cm in diameter. I love that you can tilt the head multiple angles 0, 45, 90 degrees (having a 22 degrees would have been perfect).
It’s not particularly lightweight, unfortunately due to the very nature of the design having to have the motor towards the top is going to make any item like this top heavy. However, im no muscle man, and managed fine.
The only design change I would have made would be to allow you to use the head of the trimmer without the extendable handle attached. It would make it a great 2-in-1 product then but at this price you cannot expect the world.
Overall I would highly recommend!

I bought this as we are getting older and climbing ladders to cut hedges etc is becoming difficult. A bit fiddly to put togather and slightly heavy but definitely does the job.
