It's a beast ...
Wow you get a lot of kit for the money, gloves, goggles, Alan key, metal disc blades, plastic grass blades, a metal cord for harder wood etc, 2 batteries, shoulder strap and a charger. Absolutely bargain at this price.
It’s a powerhouse piece of garden kit, with a fully adjustable shoulder support strap and safety features. Amazing amount of choices for how you need to tackle garden yard work.
Even though it’s a sturdy machine in its own right it feels light enough but at the same time strong so that all kinds of gardeners could use it safely and comfortably with practice.
I would suggest that you purchase suitable safety footwear as it spins very fast and if you are using the metal blades safety must be paramount. It really is not for the faint hearted.
I’ve only just received it and the inclement weather means I can’t see it in action but I believe it will more than tackle the jobs I need doing.
A good size long reach trimmer with adjustable angles that makes hedge cutting much easier .
We don’t have a single tree or hedge in our garden but we do have solar panels. Our neighbours who are all nice people seem to love great big trees and bushes which are sprawling all along the fence and overhanging it quite a bit. Even worse it blocks the sun in the evening.
This was the solution easy to trim back to the fence line and even easier to taper the top of the hedge to retain the illusion of height without the density .
We love it, they are none the wiser so it’s a win win . Only drawback is that it has to operate on the pole so it’s always quite a way away from you plus like all hedge trimmers it won’t do thicker branches so I am getting a chain saw nex
Not bad for the money
Although I have a long reach hedge clippers of which tend to be heavy.
So I thought I’d try these , I could have spent loads more money for some big names to use twice a year so opted for these.
Now used twice & whilst they do my job light hedge trimming & trimming my yew tree with success.
These are the pro’s light , 2 batteries & an option interest free payments ( you might as well) con’s whilst these do my light jobs I sometimes feel for larger jobs they may not be good enough
Purchased the Terratek Cordless Long reach Hedge Trimmer in September 2022. It came with 2 batteries which allowed me to cut my very large and long hedge without having to stop and wait for the batteries to recharge. Cuts through reasonably thick branches. Can feel a bit heavy when used at full 2.4m reach but that applies to all long reach hedge trimmers I have tried.
The hedge trimmer stopped working after 23 months so I contacted the supplier has it came with a 24 month warranty. Futura Direct were easy to contact by email and responded very quickly. They offered a replacement item free of charge and delivered the replacement within a couple of days. Excellent Customer Service and a great product for the price.
Works well and is not too heavy. Run time is very good and you get 2 batteries! The quality and finish is good and good value for money. It is also very easy to assemble and whips thru hedges nicely. I also use mine to trim my Holly tree with no problem.
I’ve had this hedge trimmer for a couple of years and it has been very useful. The reach is excellent and it is light enough for use at length to be reasonably comfortable. The trimmer still cuts well after two years.
Without referring to the tech spec, I would say the battery lasts a decent amount of time and charges quite quickly. I also have the equivalent standard trimmer and the fact they both use the same battery is very handy. One issue I have had is the thread going on the screw knob used to extend the trimmer – this has now happened twice and, whilst not exactly expensive to replace, it is frustrating.
