Brilliant cutter, sturdy, not too heavy for us ladies, I have an old farmhouse with10ft high hedgerow & lots of trees & bushes, cuts them really easily, battery holds it’s charge really well approx 1 hour, great price for such a good cutter, would highly recommend!

Easy to use. Does a good job. Very useful having the 2 batteries. Although by the time the 1st has run out I’m aching as most of the time i use it on full extension so gets a bit heavy.

Great value for money, ignore it being heavy in the reviews. Its well made and with 2 batteries supplied just fantastic. Proofs in the pudding about this Tool It worked perfectly well with me on a ladder and 10ft edge I’m so pleased with this trimmer. Remember peeps don’t believe everything you read this is a marvellous addition to your tool shed.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was sceptical about buying this as i always bought cabled tools in the past , i have long hedges in my garden and high ones and was tired of getting out cable extensions etc and occasionally cutting cables !!!! First impression was it was very easy to assemble by the instructions , the other good reason was a spare battery a good bonus .Well i tried it today and was well impressed , it lasted well over forty five minutes trimming and was still showing plenty of power excellent product and value for the price .

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI always read the reviews, top and worse – not sure what happened to the worse guys as I have just used it and wizzed around the garden.
Sensible about thickness of what I want to cut but ivy, hedges, small tree trimming and tidying up small shrubs – I was very impressed.
Angle of head options is great as is the extended reach, quiet too compared to my previous electric one and no more extension leads and worried about cutting the lead!
It is heavy at full reach but not unreasonable as it is light overall.
I had one of the batteries that charged but it just wouldn’t clip into the cutter – asked for a replacement with no issues.
I was looking seriously at one of a more “popular” brand which was double the price but for the average gardener with a reasonable size garden, couldn’t recommend it more.

Love this hedge trimmer, I had a petrol one before and it was really heavy and could be a bit messy putting the petrol and 2 stroke oil in,
The battery trimmer is lighter and the shoulder strap helps a lot, I can get both top and sides of my hedge cut in half the time, would highly recommend
This trimmer, oh and the price was fantastic and it came with 2 batteries and a charge

Pleased with product , works well cutting through branches with not problem …..but although we chose one of the lightest models it is still heavy to use /hold (hard on the arms) so can only do a little at a time.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersUsed it for the first time today. Excellent piece of kit .Fully assembled in 5 mins. Cuts 10mm branches with ease. Thicker pieces need a little encouragement. 1 hour run time, battery charged in 30 mins. A spare battery is included so you can cut continually. Half the price of a G Tech which will only cut to about 5mm thickness and the G Tech batteries take at least 40mins to charge and are usually supplied with only 1 battery.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our Usersmy first battery powered garden tool … always buy petrol. this hedge trimmer is great. The 2 batteries are definitely a bonus. Light duty….. no way… I have big thick hedges and this made light work of them. if your birthday is coming up ask the wife to buy you one of these. I worked it for 2 hours recharged and another 2 hours … it is great. There is a balance thing as the back end is plastic and light and the front end metal and heavy so it is still hard work but so much lighter than my petrol version, so quiet so doesn’t annoy the neighbours…. a good buy

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersSo glad I purchased this hedge-trimmer, it’s brilliant! Lightweight, easy to use and manoeuvre, battery lasted throughout a job lasting several hours. We have another electric one which is so heavy we get muscle strain every time we use it, so that’s going on free cycle! I’m a 5’3″ lady and I was easily able to use the trimmer up a ladder to reach a pretty high hedge and I was so impressed by it I had to write this review to urge others to buy it too! You won’t regret it!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI used this for the first time this afternoon and was very impressed by the performance. It’s very easy to use with good battery life and having a spare battery is very helpful. As others have said, it is quite heavy so you get a bit of a workout whilst using it. The extension pole and the ability to easily adjust the angle of the cutting head make it easy to cut the top of a high hedge but it would be good to be able to use it without the pole to reduce the weight when cutting lower parts.
Overall I think it’s a worthwhile purchase. Hope it’s as durable as it feels.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersNot a heavy duty professional model but I would imagine more than adequate for most domestic properties.
It’s light weight for what it is but anything hanging of the end of a 2 or 3 metre pole can be be cumbersome to handle. The batteries are small and light so don’t offer much balance to the weight of the machine on the other end. Although small (only 1500mAHr) one battery will provide enough power to do about as much cutting as most are likely to want to do in one hit. With clearing up time in between and fast charging of the second battery you can achieve close to continuous operation if you are that enthusiastic! My only criticism is that they could have made the extension pole a detachable option so that the handle/trigger could be mounted directly to the cutter for close up work.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersHad to return the 1st one as the locking wheel was defective ( hence 4*). Replacement arrived 2 days later and all is well. It’s a doddle to use on tall hedges and so far I’m very impressed. It is a bit top-heavy when fully extended, but that’s to be expected given its length. I also have the matching grass strimmer, so now have 4 interchangeable batteries.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersFor the price this is an excellent bit of kit and has made cutting a high hedge so much easier. The cutting blade is a bit longer than other cordless hedge cutters and it will go through stuff my other cutters won’t. It is very important that you use the shoulder strap or you will end up with severe arm/shoulder ache! The supplied batteries (2) charge up very quickly. Well pleased!

Golden Review Award: 33 From Our UsersBefore I bought this last week, cutting our large variety of hedges, bushes and undergrowth need the services of our old mains hedge trimmer. Our old beast is very loud.
It required a very long extension lead, and I have cut through the cable three times now! I needed a stepladder, wooden blocks to go under the feet, someone to hold the ladder steady, ear-defenders and some risky stretches to reach the high bits.
Life just got a whole lot easier. All I needed was gloves and goggles. This machine is a lot quieter.
I researched all the other main makes and chose this one for several reasons – all of which turned out to be vital:
It is extendible without having to insert a separate extension piece. All it needs is to unscrew the big plastic knob and then extend it. Very simple.
It is not as heavy as some of the others, but it is still heavy. You certainly know you’ve spent time cutting!
It has two batteries. Each one cut a lot of hedges. At my mid seventies age, two batteries last for as much as I have the energy to cut, so it’s a natural limiter.
    It’s very well made indeed.
It was around 100 less than the next choice, the two batteries were the clincher.
    TIPS
    1. Being right-handed, it was more comfortable to operate the switch with my left hand.
    2. When assembling, the part with the motor pushes into the other section, carrying the battery. There is a sprung domed button which will pop out through the small location hole when it’s been pushed in properly. That last little bit took a firm push. Make absolutely certain that you are pushing it in the right way round.
3.The strap needed loosening to fit me, when my head and arm were pushed through the loop.
    IMPORTANT UPDATE
I’ve just used it again and life got a whole lot easier when I added a strap loop, made out of cable ties and gaffer tape, at the other end of the handle. See the photo. Now it isn’t heavy and I could use it all day if I needed to. Putting the strap on that loop meant that it is now balanced on the strap and, when I extended it, the weight was in the right place whereas before, it made it a lot heavier.
I might make something a bit more permanent but it works fine now.

5.0 out of 5 stars A real Godsend! No other word for it.

Lightweight long reach – far easer on the arms than a petrol version. This is my second one , the first was caught a few times on thick branches and wrecked the internal cogs . The Hawthorn was subsequently cut to shape by tractor , but this is great to trim new shoots before they get too thick & spiny in late summer.

My hedge is 30 meters long and 9ft high. I was worried I would need to recharge again and again and again until I finished my hedge, but this was not the case 🙂

I gave it a little trim/shape-up, looking straight and slick.

1 BATTERY DID THE COMPLETE JOB of My hedge is 30 meters long and 9ft high
    – Brilliant! (2nd battery is there additionally, which I then used for front of the huse hedge).

    Long lasting for sure
    Cuts the hedge with ease
    Looks good and solid.

It charges in 10 minutes, Fully charges! I was shocked…

Bought to replace old cordless hedge trimmer that no longer did it’s job quite so well. Was attracted to this by the weight, reasonable price and the 2 batteries which for me was needed as I have a large garden with lots of shrubs that need trimming – some twice a year.
Love this machine. The design makes this very easy to alter the length – far easier than my other. Weight factor is a high priority as I’m a petite female and this was one of the lightest. I can use it continually for about 20 mins before my arms protest but believe me you can trim a lot of greenery in 20 mins.

I purchased this item to cut a 8ft hedge as my standard hedge trimmers wouldn’t reach and standing on ladders is a bit if a pain and takes time. The long telescopic arm is great, plus you can position and angle the hedge trimmer so the blade can cut from any angle. So far no problems with battery life the device cuts well and yes can feel heavy after prolonged use but you do have a carry strap to help support. Packs away well and easy to clean and for the price i am very happy with the product which was delivered as promised.

    Very effective trimmer indeed.
No more electric cable to cut through and no need for the wobbly step ladder to reach top of the hedge.
I managed to trim both sides of rear garden and the hedge out the front easily and neatly on the same battery which still had power to do more.
The length adjustment and angle of cutting blade are easy to adjust in seconds.
The spare battery is handy to have on standby if you have a larger than average garden.
My only criticism is that’s it’s a little on the heavy side and after trimming for an hour non stop you feel it in the shoulder the next day.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this item to replace a smaller, mains powered trimmer I have had for years. Nothing wrong with it, but the hedges and shrubs are getting more difficult to trim without the use of steps/ladders. Originally aiming for Gtech trimmer as it is/was on special, but their website showed no “special” prices.
Went on Amazon, looked at various options and decided on this item. Delivered quickly. Easy to assemble (word of caution – be careful when aligning the lower handle to the cutter end as 2 pins need to be mated with socket female base of the cutter end. Don’t try and force the male and female plug bases together. You may have misaligned them).
The 2 supplied batteries will require charging before use. Once up and running, the trimmer has performed brilliantly. Not sure how long each battery will last, but I used the item for around 1 hour continuous use and have yet to change the 1st battery.

It was an easy piece of kit to assemble and I was pleasantly surprised to discover two batteries. That is always a plus. Lighter than my petrol version this trimmer worked exceptionally well on my high hedges. The mechanism to adjust the angle of cut takes some getting used to and you have to ensure that the power connector does not disengage when you drop the head. That apart I am more than happy with it. However, it is early days. I have yet to need to change the battery so my review on the battery life may need to change.

  60. Anonymous says:

It was a great price to begin with and its two batteries I wondered about the quality and performance after all ‘there is no such thing as a free lunch’ and ‘you get what you for’ etc. etc.
Works well on conifers, with good reach and much easier to use than the electric and petrol versions that I also have
I am getting older and the petrol clippers while great are very heavy to use, the mains version is effective but the wire gets in the way, catch and is a trip hazard, also their balance isn’t great
These worked well and were easily handled as I say and I still had strength in my arms after 35 mins use

So I got my free, figuratively, lunch, dessert and coffee, and also got my conifers cut

Cons, to be picky a longer blade would have been good but I am being a bit mea

This is my second Terratek hedge trimmer, the first was 18v and this is 20v but they are interchangeable. I havn’t used the new yet. The old one has been very good and the battery normally last for about 40 mins. Most of the weight is in the motor and blades so I only use it for about 20 mins extended before having a rest. The reason I bought the new one was unfortunately I damaged the extension pole which was my fault.

  62. Keith Nelson Jr. says:

     United Kingdom

This is fantastic value for money and it does the job as described. Two batteries are more than sufficient to cut a large hedge without any significant loss in cutting power. One great feature is the lack of snagging. ( I have an expensive hedge trimmer as well and I use both for different parts of the hedges but that snags more than the Terratek). The only criticism I would have is as a long reach tool it doesn’t seem to be balanced as well as it could be and maybe the support strap needs to be looked at in order for it to be moveable along the main shaft rather than fixed at the bottom – this would allow weight adjustment as after prolonged use at its longest extension it becomes very heavy – I am fit strong and able bodied so his though would not stop me buying the tool).

  63. Anonymous says:

We have 10 acres to manage and all our tools have always been petrol. I bought this to try because cutting endless hedges with a petrol cutter and the tops with a petrol long reach cutter is extremely heavy work. This was brilliant. It is half the weight, very efficient and easy to use. it won’t cut large branches but for smaller hedges it is great. Used it on some leylandii and privet hedges and it did the job in less than half the usual time and without ladders

  64. CathernBQG says:

I decided to go battery power when I got rid of my petrol mower so the only petrol I was using was my hedge cutter and it used so little that the fuel was always stale &the machine was getting heavier every use it seemed
The cordless cutter has nowhere near the power of the petrol machine obviously but with a little patience and a steady approach it gets the job done and did not struggle with any of the branches
I think now I will tackle the job a little more often and keep hedges tidy rather than I big effort twice a year which will make disposing the trimmings easier
This machine feels quality and I’m sure it good for o few years I like the 2 battery idea so I know there’s enough power to get job done
    All in all very pleased

More than happy with this item…i’m a 68 year old male so did find it heavy at times after some use however, any reasonably fit individual should have no problem carrying and using it…the trimmer was easy to put together and then take apart for storage purposes…we had probably about 2 hours use spread over 3 days using just the one battery pack while the other battery lay fully charged ready to use but it wasn’t needed…some reviewers have complained about the battery life…I left each of ours on charge overnight…lithium batteries need a proper initial charge on first use I don’t believe so called fast chargers prepare the battery properly…do some research on this if you are note sure.

This just arrived to replace my old Qualcast pole hedge trimmer which has just given up the ghost with a dead battery. I’ve just assembled it (5 minute job), charged the batteries and given it a try.

Quick summary, it’s lighter than my Qualcast, longer than my Qualcast and cuts thicker branches than my Qualcast used to do even in its prime. It’s just gone along a very rough hedge (holly, small trees, brambles etc.) and trimmed it nicely.

So – I am sure you can probably get a lighter model from a different manufacturer but all the ones I looked at were a lot more expensive so for the money it is a very good buy. I particularly like the supply of an extra battery. Very pleased. Great value. Will update if I get any problems in the next year.

I have had 2 long pole hedge cutters before. The first was petrol-powerful, good reach but unreliable motor-gave up with it after 3 years. The second was electric-good power and reach but heavy and the cord was a pest-the electric motor failed after 6 years.
This one is the easiest to use and the lightest but doesn’t have quite the reach of either of the others and lacks some power-it is therefore slower and is not able to cut as thick branches as the other 2 (smaller teeth gap). I cut a lot of hedges but only use a pole cutter for the hard to reach areas-this is fine for that but I would not recommend it for large areas-it would be too slow.

I have never used electric hedge cutters before but I felt really safe using these. The tip to extend the pole to put the two parts together made then very easy to assemble. They cut really well and cut to the 15mm width as promised. I found them a bit heavy but they were very manageable ( I am just over 5 ft! ). Two batteries are supplied and they lasted well. A great buy, I highly recommend them, thank you.

I am well pleased with my purchase, my hedge normally takes a couple of hours to cut and I need a box to step on because of my sloping garden, I cut it in a fraction of the time, when fully extended it does become quite heavy, I considered myself to be quite a fit 69 year old who attends the gym four times a week, would I recommend this? Yes if your reasonably fit and able, I just hope that the batteries will last a few years, the hedge was cut on one charge and still able to cut my neighbours hedge also !!

    Great piece of gardening ki

I purchased this long reach hedge cutter to cut a large hedge that had become very untidy. The hedge is about 20 ft in length, 8 ft tall and 4-5 ft thick. The photos show the hedge before I cut it and also after cutting. I am quite elderly and physically can’t do some of the things I used to do, but I managed to handle the cutter OK. The cutter is certainly quite heavy when using it on the extension to cut the top of the hedge, and I certainly had to stop now and again. However, it did the job and took about 20 minutes to do each side. The battery was not charged when received but after charging it managed the full 20 minute session. I purchased an extra battery which I think is a good thing to do as the second battery was fully charged when it came to doing the second half of the hedge. For the price I think this is as good as they come.

    Cuts the high hedge OK

I have had this a few weeks now, it is very easy to use, the battery lasts very well, I haven’t had to use the second battery, as the first battery hasn’t lost it charge. I have used it for at least half an hour of a few occasions and it’s held it’s charge well, time will tell. Make sure you recharge the battery before you put it away. It cuts through small to medium size privets easily and although I wouldn’t say it is light when fully extended, Its not unduly heavy, it has to have some weight to fo the job. I’m very satisfied with this product and would recommend it for its ease of use.

Great Reasonably priced replacement for my out of date cordless electric pole hedge cutter. I really recommend this, the battery life is superb. Gave me a least one hour of cutting time per battery, and comes with 2 batteries, which is great for those lengthy tasks. Highly recommended.

worth the money if you have only light stuff to cut , clematis , light willow trees , very light hedging, if you have a thick bush or hedge leave will alone, it will jam up, i love it most of my trees is light work and it cut hours from the old clippers , batteries last a very long time, , i think it worth the money

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFor once I just bought local (the company is based in my home town) rather than reading a thousand reviews before making my mind up.

I’ve not had it long so may update this in future, but so far so great.

Two batteries is something I’d not buy a product like this without now, but so far I’ve not had to swap them over, so they seem to hold their charge ok. You do need to make sure that you’ve connected the two main parts together completely or it’ll not work, but once done it’s great. I gave a 30m along hedge and some 2m high bushes a trim in a fraction of the time it used to take me and no stepladders were needed. Nor the extension lead, outdoor socket or power breaker. So much simpler and safer, not just avoiding climbing up and down steps, but just being further away from the cutting blades and not having to reach out from the top of steps. You just walk along cutting, adjusting the angle of the blades as required. Easy. A long overdue purchase.

It’s pretty lightweight and you carry much of what there is on the shoulder harness, so it feels light enough to use for a while.

Does anyone want a Bosch corded hedge trimmer? No? Neither do I anymore!

This product is lightweight, easy to assemble and use. I use this for my gardening business for a quick job. Not good if the hedge is majorly overgrown. 45 minutes battery life is a pain but it does a great job.

Live in the country with 3/4 acre garden. Cutting hedges a pleasure now. Had this a few months. Spent years with heavy petrol hedge trimmer. This cuts well but not heavy duty. If your hedge is under control then this trims light growth with ease. Has just enough power to do the job. Follow the instructions carefully when attaching the pole. Took me several attempts before I did this correctly then it started. Batteries are great. Would estimate 45-60 mins run time per battery. Batteries change in a hour or less- the indicator on the batteries are fantastic. Not suitable for very thick branches but will cut branches up to a fingers width if you’re patient. Definitely recommend being lightweight and cord free. Great price with 2 batteries.

Came in two halves, which is easily assembled. Being over seventy yrs old, found it rather heavy on the arms, which makes it essential to get the shoulder strap properly adjusted on the pole for a good balance. This is not really explained in the instructions. The black hand sleeve can be slid down the pole, and shoulder strap bracket loosened and moved to an appropriate position. To loosen the bracket you will need a “Allen Key” as one is not provided. First hedge cut was good, sharp, and deals with all. Benefits two batteries, have only needed the one so far.

This battery operated hedge trimmer is much more effective than our previous one and does the job efficiently without binding or jamming. It is not lightweight but is very robust and solidly built cutting easily through small to medium stems. The angle of the blade is easily changed and ensures a good shape can be be achieved. Supplying a second battery overcomes the problem of running out of power half way through a job.

Arrived well in time of estimated date. Packed well.
Cordless hedge trimmer seems easy to use but have only just unpacked and opened it. Tried it out to see if it would cut top of the hedge (which it was wanted for). Appears to be good but have not used it to its full potential.

Bought in January’21 but wanted to try before posting a review. so here it is…..Much better than expected. First use on very long and tall hedges, managed sides and top on one full battery and part of second. Easy to use, much lighter than previous petrol or electric hedge trimmers. Cuts well. Really happy with this and surprised by how good it it. Hope it keeps working this well…..Just used again in September’21 and can report its a brilliant piece of kit. Fully recommend it.

Telescopic hedge trimmer which reaches high places without using steps. Battery life very good, hedge trimmer works for a considerable time before running flat. However, I do have two batteries & keep one charged while using the other. It has a strap for support which helps, as the trimmer is fairly heavy at the controls end. I received exceptional customer service from the seller. The seller was very efficient, & I received a good shopping experience, I would recommend to other customers.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was really surprised how well this coped, I managed to get this product cheaper by buying a display/test model and it arrived in brand new condition but after using this today it would definitely be worth it’s full price. Battery lasted for the full cut each side and top and coped. This was so my easier than using an cable model not having to keep moving the cord or cutting through the cord (has happened a coupe of times). At first it didn’t feel as powerful however my hedge is heavy duty and did do the job. I didn’t use the straps as didn’t need to but they are in the box.

Does the job,but a bit unwieldy. The head is quite heavy and requires effort to balance the blade so it cuts effectively.
The assembly is easy once you read instructions. The batteries have good life and in general it works well, but feels “built to a price”.Only time will tell.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThis is a very good item. Very easy to assemble, despite other feedback to the contrary. For the length of the cutters when fully extended, the item is pretty light-weight and easy to operate. It seems to be quite robust, although I have only used it a few times so far. Gives a very neat cut. Due to the extending feature, and as we have an unusual shaped hedge on varying levels, I now find that I only require ladders on a couple of small sections of the hedge. This makes it much quicker in now cutting the full length of the hedge, than previously. If they prove to be a long lasting product, then I think they are very good value. The batteries seem to last a long time, as I have not needed to change over batteries part way through the work so far. I have kept the box for easy storage/protection.

Great little cutter for the price….cuts really well and the weight is fine. The battery isn’t the longest so I alternate between my normal hedge cutter (sides) whilst it charges. One issue was that the tightening screw for extending the pole was broken on arrival….all I did was put a screw and a bolt in it and it works but was a little disappointed with that….but to be honest, for the money I would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersVery impressed with Terratec products. I have the cordless strimmer which is very well designed and thought out . Having owned several mains powered corded extendable hedge trimmers and found them heavy and cumbersome with extension leads getting in the way etc , I wanted the ease and convenience of a cordless but was concerned about the power. I need not have worried , this is lighter and on first use tackles what my mains powered trimmer would deal with easily. Just been cutting through 1 cm + branches like butter. So glad I took the risk…..with 2 batteries and 2 identical ones with my strimmer there’s no change of running out of juice. Happy so far !

I bought this item 10 months ago, and recently the charger stopped working (though it took a little while to work out that this was the fault). I couldn’t get hold of the suppliers at first, but when I did they replaced the charger without delay. Problem solved. The product does exactly what it says, and if it feels a little unwieldy, well what would you expect? I would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis hedge trimmer cuts through my cypress hedge like butter , it is 10 ft high and with an arch in the centre . It is very quiet and the motor has plenty of charge ,
I am a 76 yr old . Although quite heavy and somewhat difficult to use
the end result is amazing .
I didn’t think a battery trimmer would cut as easy as this one . I had the version with 2 batteries but didn’t need them.

    Great hedge trimme

The cutter works really well. The only problem I’ve had is when fully extended I find it heavy and painful to operate. However, this is not a problem with the machine but with arthritis in my spine.

I liked EVERYTHING about this excellent electric garden tool; indeed I can hardly believe that any business could offer such equipment at such a reasonable price. On the strength of the versatility of the long-reach cordless hedge trimmer, I have purchased this firm’s brilliant grass strummer.

Item ordered one day and delivered the next !! Well packaged. Easy assembly. Both batteries fully charged within 2 hours. Used by my wife (67 hrs old) this morning and she says it slices through a tall, multi variety hedge with heavy dew and it cuts like a ‘hot knife through butter’. Yes it is a little heavy but only to be expected and if used with the harness correctly is easily manageable. All in all a very good buy and well worth the 5 stars.

This hedge trimmer has a good reach for the higher hedges. I have used it for over 40 minutes of so and the battery still has power. The spare Battery is useful if power runs out on the first one. (not happened yet) Very good to have a Trimmer without cable! Excellent Product to date.

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersNeeded a replacement for my hedge trimmer that went done. Parts hard to find so decided to upgrade to anew one. Excited for this to arrive as my garden in need of a haircut. Assembling quite straightforward, just need to make sure the pins connecting together secure before clamping up. Noise level surprised as not loud at all compared to my previous one. The extended reach good. When using on normal reach I found out quite soon that the weight of the head cutter puts a strain on your arm if tackling a longer and higher hedge and I am someone who does daily moving of heavy items. A strap does come with it to help balance out the weight but this is limited to what angles the weight bearing of the strap helps out. The distance between the switch on and holding the trimmer to hold and balance the length of pole a little awkward to have a comfy grip and hold, but all function able and does the job. Came with 2 batteries and charger. Plenty of life to do the garden. V Happy but will plan in stages to work around the garden and to have pit stops.
Update 2020…still going strong having many outings…batteries still holding charge…great!
Update.2021…1battery now failing. Runs out of power within a minute…had quite some battery use though. Just bought replacement battery for 20. Machine itself still fine, was no need for an upgrade. Still happy and gardening on…

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersI recently purchased the Terratek 18v long reach hedge Trimmer. The item arrived in the time frame promised.
It was simple to put together and charge the 2 x 18v batteries. I used the product for the first time today and have to say I was really impressed with the way it performed. The hedge I have to tackle on once a year usually takes me whole day and a lot of climbing up a step ladder, using a very heavy petrol trimmer. But this fantastic tool had the job done in about 2 hours with no need for the step ladder due to the long reach feature and the tilting cutting head. I just hope the reliability is there in future month/years. but for now its great.
