My Grandson loved this trains and Cranes. He was extremely excited.
This item is wonderful and my grandson plays with it all the time. So far no damage has been done but it is so very big that it’s hard to find safe space for it.
Myonly regret is tht i didn’t know it came with just one little engine. I thought for the price it would be more. Th prie to but another train t play was just as expensive as this set. disappointed. It’s cute and very nice to play once put together.
I’ve read other reviews and I can say I was prepared for my husband to put this together but did it myself and it was very easy even with a 2/12 year old playing with some of the pieces during the construction. Our grandson played with it for 3 hours before he was forced to stop because it was time to go home.
Brought this track set for my son for Christmas and he absolutely loves it! He hasn’t stopped playing with it. He loves watching the trains go round the track. This is a great toy and I got it when it was on offer so even better. Highly recommended for any Thomas fans

This item is a bit large it has to be assembled which took my son the better part of an hour, however its a quality toy and it does operate wonderfully for my 2 or 3 year old grandsons, once put together do not disassemble. put it in another room or just leave it on the front room floor.

This is a great product. I have a five and two year old and they both love it.
It’s really easy to construct with the instructions. (Probably not easy to take apart as it all clicks together!). It’s got lots to do on it and play with.
It also fits all normal sized trains on it so it does come with two and a carriage but you can use anything on it which is great.
The Thomas is lovely as it has the option of being battery powered.
It does take up quite a lot of space but think it’s worth it.
The kids love this! Easy to assemble and endless fun for the kids. I would recommend buying more trains. They only give you one train that automatically moves.

Really need to follow diagram/instructions accurately when assembling it (so hard to disassemble and correct the layout) but then end product was perfect for my kid, he loves and enjoy it, so much activity to do and keeps him real busy
I can’t recommend this set enough, it has kept my 2 year old’s attention for literally hours a day since he opened it on Christmas day.
It took just under an hour to assemble and although it is pretty big, it takes up much less space than a traditional flat train track.
You can extend the track by adding flat sections to it on the bottom, which would being the turntable more into play rather than just using it to park up the trains which we do.
You get one motorised engine with the set – Thomas – as well as a wagon carriage that can connect to him and also a little Percy engine that isn’t motorised.
Thomas can travel around the set going up and down the tracks on his own once turned on but you need to operate the crane at the top to help Thomas get across the gap and then release him either side of the crane with the signal lever. Just getting the crane to the right side, releasing Thomas to go on with the lever, moving Thomas across the gap with the crane then releasing him to continue along the track with the other signal lever takes a little getting used to for younger children but my 2.5 year old soon got used to it and my 4. 5 year old loves it too.
I think older kids would enjoy playing with the set just as much or even more than younger ones as they could probably use the little cranes more to load cargo onto Thomas and also get the helicopter and turntable at the bottom more involved in the play.
I can see this set holding the attention of our kids for a very long time to come, so for us it’s worth the big footprint of the toy and the floorspace it takes up, though as I said it actually takes up much less room than a traditional train track if you are pushed for space.
I would 100% recommend this set as the kids enjoy playing with it so much. We’ll be buying another motorised engine to join Thomas to make it easier for both kids to play with it at once too!

Purchased for my 3 year 3 month old grandson who loves all things cars and trains. He enjoyed watching my 14 year old niece assemble the tower and played patiently with the accessories. Once assembled he played with it for 8 hours day 1, 6 hours day 2 and on day 3 chose the tower over chocolate chip pancakes. I will be purchasing another one just to have as a back up for his younger brother and if im looking for a gift will be sure to consider for any child with an affinity for cars and trains.
I’m 7.5 months pregnant and this took me 30 minutes to assemble. Probably would have gone faster if I could sat on the floor water. My boys love it and one big selling point is 3 cranes and you can race 2 trains at once. Such a perfect addition to any plastic set you might have.

This tower has given my 5 year old hours of play. He has lots of the Thomas trackmaster and wooden toys. This seems to be his favorite so far. He likes the swiveling action of the hanging crane track piece, and the stop and go handles on the track. These pieces give him a “job” to do. My son seems to enjoy this tower (slightly) more than the Super Station (also a great tower), and the Castle Quest (over priced in my opinion). I got this on sale, but worth every bit of the full price. Putting it together takes a little time, but the instructions were very easy to follow.

Oltre la torre da costruire nella confezione ci sono 1 trenino con locomotiva a batteria con relativo rimorchio,un aereo bianco e un trenino di metallo della linea senza batterie a spinta normale.
La torre e davvero molto grande e mio figlio la sta usando tantissimo pu spostare a mano il binario con una manovella che fa da ponte e a diversi scambi.La cosa bella e che se si hanno gi dei binari della linea di Thomas si possono aggiungere e creare nuove piste che si attaccano alla torre e anche tutti gli accessori come i vari garage anche questi si possono attaccare.
Mio figlio usa anche tuttini trenini pi piccoli della stessa linea e sono compatibili.
Materiali come dicevo ottimi e robusti e li sta usando un bimbo di 4 anni poco attento e grossolano.Il montaggio molto veloce mio marito ci ha messo una mezzoretta ma nulla di difficile perche e ad incastro e a delle viti per fissarlo.
Il pacco era ben imballato aveva la confezione in cartone scuro della fisher price e poi all’interno un altra confezione davvero bella della torre con apertura che sembra il cofanetto che si apre in tutti i videogiochi online di thomas.

Wish Thomas train sounded and there were more train carts and maybe functions like the crane having a way to open and close and pick up. All you can do with them is turn them and open their claws with your hands

Bought this train set for my granddaughter’s birthday. She absolutely loves it. She immediately knew what it was and interestingly enough, the commercial was on the tv when I was visiting and she jumped up and pointed and said that was her train set. I love that it is more vertical than horizontal and that there is additional tracks that can be purchased (and already has been). Very pleased with this purchase and four year old approved!

E’ grande, richiede uno spazio non indifferente, anche perch, per giocarci bene, vale la pena di girarci tutto intorno. Le plastiche sono di ottimo livello, il montaggio richiede una mezz’oretta quindi, una volta montato, sconsiglio di smontarlo per riporlo… da lasciare sempre tutto intero. Ai piccoli piaciuto subito e, devo ammettere, che a me piaciuto osservarli giocare poich si vede chiaramente che questo gioco stimola il loro apprendimento dei meccanismi e del movimento e li rende partecipi oltre che spettatori. Capito il funzionamento, dai 4 anni in su, sono tranquillamente in grado di giocare da soli senza far danni.

Nonostante dall’immagine sembri abbastanza compatto pi o meno alto come un bambino di quattro anni e molto ingombrante. Proprio per questo il montaggio potrebbe essere difficoltoso in alcuni casi.
Detto questo beh si tratta di un prodotto originale con tanto di trenino Thomas motorizzato. La qualit dei materiali elevato e ci sono tutti i personaggi del cartone (che per ovvi motivi di et non conosco).
Viene consigliato per i bambini da 3 anni in su in quanto ci sono comunque piccole parti che potrebbero essere masticate o non comprese da bambini pi piccoli.

This Thomas & Friends Trains and Cranes Super Tower play set is heavy – there’s a lot of it and standing 2.5′ tall it takes up quite a bit of space. It’s not so much the kind of thing you’d want to disassemble and rebuild either so pretty much once it’s up it’s up. The set is suitable for pre-school children aged 3 and above.
I found it quite impressive as an adult – so think yourself down to the size of an average 3 year old at around 37″ tall and this exciting looking, colourful construction is 30″ tall and even more enthralling. It’s also compatible with other Thomas track – all except wood – so you can add to this set and make it even bigger if you want.
However of itself it’s large and very big on play value too for girls and boys. There’s a motorised Thomas, die cast Percy, Harold Helicopter along with 4 cargo crates and 3 cranes – Cranky, Cassia and Carly. Loading and unloading can encourage hand/eye coordination. At the foot of the set there’s Tidmouth Sheds with a rotating turntable for the engines and the engines are based at Brendam Docks.
One thing about this playset that’s great is that if 2 or 3 children are playing with it at the same time there’s room enough for everyone to grab a slice of the action without feeling left out as all aspects of the structure have stuff going on – there are activities all can get involved with.
Admittedly, this Thomas & Friends playset isn’t cheap – but it’s well made and feels solid. It will occupy children for hours and help them to play creatively and imaginatively. Needless to say if you have young fans of Reverend Awdry’s Thomas the Tank Engine they’ll love this.
My son got this for his birthday from my Dad and e ended up buying it for our godsons because it was a huge hit. It’s amazing and makes hours of fun!

– it is reasonably easy to assemble.
– it is fun driving Thomas around the set and the little crane was a big hit.
Cons
– this set is very large and takes up a lot of space. You can’t really take it apart once it is assembled so you can’t really store it away.
– only one of the trains is motorised which is a real shame as having two motorised trains would increase the games your kids could play with this set.
– I am not sure how much play value this set has as the child is limited with what they can do with it. I think a set where the child can take apart the tracks and rearrange them is preferable.

The toy.
This is a large (very large) Thomas the tank engine toy. It’s a tower with track and trains. You will need a large permanent space for it as it is not easy to get apart once assembled.
Assembly.
It comes in a large box and will need an adult to assemble it as there are quite a few parts. Took about an hour to set it all up.
It comes with some trains, (the Thomas model is motorised) helicopter, cranes and rail trucks. It is compatible with other Thomas products in the series so can form part of a larger set up.
Play.
As we have two committed paid-up Thomas fans the play value has been huge. They have loads of sets and engines and their whole bedroom gets taken over with it all most days. The simply love playing with it.
Overall.
A large toy which will need a lot of space. Ideal for the Thomas fan(s) as we have found out. It’s not cheap but it is well made and does a lot and fits in with other Thomas setups they have.
To say I was surprised at the size of this set would be an understatement! Came in a giant box, all pieces feel well made and go together very well. Honestly the completed size is fantastic for the money, I thought it was going to be much smaller when I saw the price. The motorised engine is fun and there’s hours of fun to have especially if you have a Thomas the Tank Engine fan like us. This would make a brilliant Christmas present without breaking the bank, it’s so substantial it’s enough as a stand-alone gift but does link up to smaller sets.

First Impressions: The parts are nice and solid and in my opinion would take a lot of force to break any of it. Everything is well finished with no rough edges or small parts with the exception of the bolts which are fixed during assembly so certainly safe for young children.
After unpacking everything I started the assembly, I found this to be fairly straight forward and it took around 20 minutes start to finish. Everything slotted together well and the bolts held the main parts in place. I did think that with some of the parts clipping in and no way to then release them again was disappointing, as this is very large and takes up quite a bit of space so it makes it impossible to disassembly or pack it back up to move it. The main train (Thomas) takes two AAA batteries (not supplied) and once fitted it moves round the track allowing you to stop it, move it over in the crane and load it up for transit, all entertaining fun for the children.
My youngest daughter has been playing with the set with her friend and they have had lots of fun and played for hours, with all the moving parts their imaginations created multiple scenarios and really kept them entertained.
Overall I think this is a well designed and quality set which certainly entertained and amused the children. I did not like not having the ability to disassemble as this limits the ability to move or store this kit. You should be aware if you purchase that the kit does not come with a cross head screwdriver you will need or the two AAA batteries for the train. Overall a really well made and entertaining set and ideal for Thomas fans.
Since it is big so take some extra space in the home. I did not think about it while ordering but still not disappointed as it is a good fun toy.
It arrived well-packaged as shown in the attached photos. So it can also be used as a perfect gift item.
The price seems to me a little expensive but might be justified for the quality.
Overall, I am happy with the order and will definitely recommend it.

My grandchildren are very much into Thomas The Tank Engine, so this Thomas & Friends Trains & Cranes Super Tower play set from Fisher Price brand is absolutely superb for play value and excellent value too as it’s a huge set. The major crane (called Cranky) is an imposing 86 cm tall construction, which includes 4 levels of plus track for Thomas and Percy to climb, there are 2 further cranes, Harold the helicopter, an attachable cargo car plus 4 further crates, all add up to an exciting imaginative playtime. The track is the same as the other Thomas & Friends train sets so will fit other trains and track. I already have a couple of Thomas & Friends train sets plus accessories, this amazing Trains & Cranes Super Tower would definitely make an ideal Christmas or birthday gift for any child who loves Thomas The Tank Engine, I know my grandchildren are going to love this huge set that comes in a large box measuring 81 cm wide x 55 cm tall x 21 cm deep. You will need 2 AAA batteries for Thomas train which is motorised, Percy is a push along train. Give yourself an hour to put it all together, it is a good build and fits together nicely.

It comes with a motorised Thomas and Percy who is only a push along train (why at this price he couldn’t have been motorised as well but a bit more on that later). Also included is Harold the helicopter, a freight car and a number of cargo boxes to put in that.
It took a while to put everything together and if you have a young child it might be best to keep them out the way whilst you assemble. However once built I thought it was a pretty good set.
I love the fact it is multi level and as Thomas rises he stops and you are required to interact with the set to keep him moving. Once at the top Thomas will need your help getting across the gap (with the help of Cranky the crane) and then he can continue his journey back down.
The cranes can all pick up cargo but it did require some force to open their claw grips and the very young may have need assistance. Maybe magnets would’ve been a better option.
Other gripes, (aside from only the one motorised engine), I wonder why Mattel couldn’t have provided motorised talking engines for Thomas and Percy as well as giving the cranes a few voice functions which I think would’ve made the set much more interactive and fun as they go about their business.
As it is, this is a good set and your child will of course love it. I just feel they could have provided a bit more given the cost.

This whole set is massive when fully assembled it is 2and half foot tall and quite wide, takes up a lot of space.
Supplied with just one motorized train Thomas, Percy will only moved when pushed or being pulled by Thomas. Requires 2AAA batteries for Thomas.
Great game play to start with and is good it is not just a train track, has fully operational cranes

Overall, this is a great extra large trainset that is a main present contender for a toddler. Wish both Percy and Thomas were motorized and can race against each other on track.

It is easy to put together when following the instructions but hard to snap together but impossible to take apart.
Once it sets up, it’s pretty cool but the engine derail a lot when you add the little engine and/or cargo car.
I really like the cranes and turnabout but you have to buy extra track to use the turnabout.
It’s neat once it’s set up but you better be prepared to leave it set up forever or spend a lot of time really fighting it to take it apart because your going to have several of the large parts stuck together and it won’t go back in the box like that!

Comes well packaged, relatively easy to assemble and everything clicks together nicely. It’s a very sturdy product so will withstand bumps, knocks and general abuse from children. It is a lot bigger than I imagined but is easy to just pick up and put in a cupboard when not in use.

Thomas & Friends Trains & Cranes Super Tower is big time fun, literally. For the price I was very impressed with the overall functionality and size of the set. Both of the nephews are huge Thomas the Tank Engine fans, so I decided this would be a great addition to their collection. They’ve absolutely loved it. Well they needed a little bit of help snapping some of the pieces together, we had it all set up it just about 10 minutes. From there it’s countless hours of fun for them. The motorized Thomas glides easily down the tracks. And the crane provides a great way to hoist him up into the air to reset him.
All of the pieces are very durable and made of great quality, heavy duty plastic. There are a few different options included in the instructions for arranging the pieces, but certainly the kids can have just as much fun coming up with their own. Whether they play with us inside or outside, it is short provide hours of fun and help them get in touch with their creative side.
This Thomas and Friends Trains and Cranes set is fantastic for little ones that are to young for trackmaster but show interest in Thomas. First putting this together wasn’t nearly as hard as some of the trackmaster sets, so that’s a plus. It is a bit time consuming though, so definitely set a good hour or so aside to build this!
What I love about this set is that its not one you break down and rebuild, you just leave it built. And since it’s tall rather than wide it doesn’t take up as much room as you would think. The tracks as a whole are very sturdy and thick, much more durable than other sets we have had. Your also not limited to just the trains it comes with and can easily buy some more (or in our case dig in our garage). All of the engines I have tried this far work perfectly fine on this track. Overall love it and highly recommend for the younger Thomas fans! Though even our older 6 and 8 year olds have been seen playing with this!
In some ways it’s not as impressive as a really big set. Because it’s compact, it doesn’t seem huge. But it’s 25 feet of track. The compactness is the best part! We don’t have to take it apart to put it away, so it’s always ready to go. (It would be a pain to take it apart and put together–that’s a con if you need it to come apart!) Since you leave it together, I don’t have to help my daughter put it together and we don’t need extra clean-up time.
It also has three connectors on the round-about, so we can connect it to other Thomas plastic track sets. So this is a great addition to your collection. Again, I think it’s especially good because it stays together. If your kid wants to play with trains and you don’t want to take them out or be responsible for cleaning them up, you keep this set set up!
It works pretty well too. The train is a bit slower going up the hills, but it handles them fine. Trains going down hill can derail if you make a longer train. It works bests with just the engine, but it works well with the engine and one cart.
The cranes work great too! Cranky is a really fun crane train ride. The other two cranes and the crate chutes also work great and encourage active play.
We like this a lot. There are big sets with more to do than this, but there’s no better set for little floorspace that’s always up for play.
