I’ve previously owned a few smartwatches/fitness trackers and my last watch (the 1st edition Ticwatch Pro 3) was the best watch I had owned by far. Until now.

Mobvoi have just taken that watch and made it better, quite simple. The battery life is extended to the point where I forget I need to charge it up! Annoyingly due to my mobile contract I haven’t been able to use the 4G aspect of it but everything else connects fine and the watch is super fast.

The ability to change the blacklight colour on the always on display is a great touch. The white on the previous watch was nice enough but the new colours really make the watch glow in the dark when it’s needed and they look great.

The additional health/fitness aspects of the watch seem to work really well. I use a Garmin Fenix 6 for my activities but it’s good to see my steps/HR/stress etc on the ticwatch when I’m not exercising.

Overall its definitely the best watch on the market if you aren’t an apple user… and maybe even better than those.

    First Impressions:
Upon opening the box you’re greeted with a big screen with a very slim bezel and attractive metal surround. The Pro 3 Ultra GPS is a surprisingly slim smartwatch given its overall large size and despite this is still very light to wear, though still might be a bit difficult to wear with a formal shirt.

    Design:
At almost 48mm in diameter, wow is this a big watch, however, the overall slim body does make the Pro 3 wearable even for people with medium to small wrists, though it might look a bit funny, to begin with. The Pro 3 has a great look thanks to the textured bezel and pushers that really add a subtle flair to the overall design and when you take it out from the box and hold it for the first time you will be very impressed with the build quality. The whole package just feels great in hand, especially the silicone band which is soft to touch, contours around my hand and doesn’t gather dust like other watch bands.

    Display:
The product images on amazon showcase the large screen really are presentative of the real product. Wow, the 1.4″ screen looks big, but at the same time, it blends really well inside of the textured stainless bezel. In my opinion, this might be the sweet spot size for an Android Wear OS device. Navigating through the interface and reading notifications on this screen just looks so good and the Gorilla glass that protects the is smooth to touch and so far from my usage, it has been scratch-free.

Compare to the TicWatch E3, the Pro 3 Ultra GPS screen does not feel cramped in any way and given that it’s an AMOLED screen, your eyes get to enjoy nice punchy colours and deep blacks and if Mobvoi were able to match the screen panel colour to the thin bezel between the screen and metal surround it would have been the most seamless screen design yet, easily rivalling the Apple Watch screen design.

The Pro 3 Ultra GPS isn’t just using an AMOLED, it also has a neat low energy secondary display that is reminiscent of a basic digital watch, like a classic Casio for example. When the main display turns off, you’re always left with a screen to see what illuminates when you tilt the watchmaking legibility clear even in dark environments. Even though the secondary display might be more basic in comparison to the AMOLED, it still provides all the vital information you need which consists of the time, simplified date, step count and battery life. I do wish more Android smartwatches had this feature.

    Battery Life:
Mobvoi claims that the Pro 3 Ultra GPS can get 72 hours of battery life on a single charge and from my experience, their claims have been true in my use and sometimes even better, with my best runtime almost being roughly 96 hours. In addition to this great battery life when the watch is being used in its full-featured mode, even if you end up in a situation where the battery is so low, the basic mode will kick in and you will at least still have a usable watch for basic timekeeping. Unlike most smartwatches which will turn off and you’re left with a dead weight on your wrist.

Once you’re home and you’re ready to get the watch charging, you’ll be up and running for a full day of use in as little as 30 minutes, great if you’re coming home to freshen up for an evening gym session or social outing.

Just like the TicWatch E3 and most of Mobvoi’s other smartwatches, the Pro 3 Ultra GPS also uses a 4-prong magnetic connector which is fairly strong and accurate to connect to, and despite the watch having fast charging I’ve never seen it heat up.

    Performance:
The Pro 3 Ultra GPS uses the same internal specifications as the lower cost TicWatch E3 and as such I’ve had a smooth experience when navigating the UI, transitioning between apps, making NFC payments and using the endless fitness modes the watch has to offer. Using Google maps on the Pro 3 Ultra GPS has been a great experience and a real-life saver when navigating public transport and commuting through London.

I’ve had many updates pushed to the watch during my 1 month of extensive use and have not experienced any issues in performance or battery life. Downloading apps from the play store are also very fast whether it be through the phone or directly using Wi-Fi.

    Tracking:
The Pro 3 Ultra GPS has a lot of different sensors and I’ve not even touched the surface on everything this device has to offer however my experiences with the auto sleep detect have been great and the results have been comparable to what I’ve seen from my other sleep tracking devices. The auto exercise detection is a nice feature and I would say 60% of the time it’s been able to tell I’m actually exercising. During my times at the office when I’m moving between floors, it has misread my random bursts of speed walking as me starting an exercise, but it does realise and stops the exercise mode.

    App:
The Mobvoi companion app has a great UI and is very easy to navigate and visualise all the data that the Pro 3 Ultra GPS is able to collect. I’ve not had any issues with the watch sending the data to the app.

The physical and mental status monitoring is a great touch and very insightful, and given the current state of the world, keeping on top of your mental fitness is something you shouldn’t ignore.

    Final Thoughts:
The Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS is a long title for a smartwatch that’s for sure and when compared to the TicWatch E3 It has a long spec list to match the name. The intuitive dual display the big and bright AMOLED screen, built-in GPS and even the option for eSIM LTE. I would say this is one of the best smartwatch offerings in the Android space that gives the Apple Watch a run for its money.

The Pro 3 Ultra GPS might be larger than the E3, but don’t let that put you off because it’s much slimmer and wears much better, not to mention feels a lot better on the wrist thanks to that thicker soft silicone strap and better materials on the case.

If you haven’t used a WearOS smartwatch for a while and are still on the edge about them from your previous experiences I feel like the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS, could be one that gets you liking them again and with the promised upgrade to the next major release of WearOS at least you know your smartwatch investment won’t be considered out of date within the next 6 months of ownership.

So, I’ve had the excellent Mobvoi watches before and wanted to see how good the latest is:
I won’t bore you with the unboxing apart from the fact that its well packaged and comes with a useful quick start guide, though I only ever look at these if I’m stuck, part of the fun for me is seeing if I can get it up and running without using the instructions. One observation though, it’s got a brown strap which at first sight I thought Hmmm but the quality of the strap appears to be really good with a nice black rubber finish on the inside.
Rather than waiting for it to charge I turned it on, long press of the top button on the right. Set up was pretty straight forward, as was linking it to my google account, and the stock watch face, as per the one on the box, is pretty good, I love faces with the seconds hand, just feels more like the real thing. The secondary, on all the time display, is great and does the job for checking the time without wasting battery. The watch is really slick and responsive and flicks through the different screens really smoothly. The Google tutorial gives you all the basics really easily.
One of my main reasons for buying the watch was for the health and in particular the heart rate monitoring. I hit 60 last year and have had a couple of issues with an irregular heartrate so having the watch continually monitor my rate throughout the day and dight is a great feature for me. And the watch doesn’t disappoint and gives great readings on both the watch and phone display. The TicPulse does a pretty good job of this and I’ve linked it to my Google Fit app which all works seamlessly.
So far, I’m really pleased with my purchase and looking forward to adding apps and having a play which the Google Wear OS allows you to do. Also looking forward to the new version of Google OS which is supposed to be coming to this watch in a couple of months or so.
I’m also going to try out the stand along phone call option with an eSIM. As I understand it this is only through Vodafone so I’m looking into the switching from my Current GiffGaff pay monthly sim only to a Vodafone pay monthly sim only with dual number option which, as I understand it, means only the one number on both my phone and watch. I’ll update this review with how I get on setting it up.

Having owned the original Ticwatch Pro for 2 years I have now upgraded to the latest Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra 4G/LTE. I have used the previous watch daily and was amazed by how well it worked. The latest model brings through all the previous great aspects of the watch and improves on other features.

The Ticwatch Pro 3 really excels above its competitors with regard to battery life, much like phones it has become the norm to expect to charge the device daily, but these watches will last several days on one charge with normal usage. In the essential mode the watch will last weeks on one charge.

I use the GPS in standalone mode when go out for a run, so I can leave my bulking phone at home or work and go out for a quick run. The built in sensors track pace, cadence, heart rate. This is an ideal watch to use to track your running.

One thing that has improved significantly from the previous version is how well the watch feels on my wrist. The combination of it being slightly lighter, thinner, and some bevelled edges makes it the most comfortable smartwatch I’ve ever tried on.

The watch strap feels very comfortable, it has a classy leather top combined with a comfortable silicone base to make it really usable as an everyday watch that looks good smart in the office but practical for exercise too. The strap is a quick change 22mm strap, so you can quickly change the look of the watch to match your style.

Another thing that has improved significantly is the fluidity of the menus, my previous watch did suffer from being a bit laggy when scrolling through menus and starting apps, but this watch is way better much quicker response to touch and opening apps.

Overall I’m very happy with the watch, I think it’s a great choice for people considering a flagship Android wear watch that has great battery life, premium look and feel. As a previous Ticwatch owner I can testify that the reliability and build quality is excellent.

Had many smart watches over the years and this one is one of the best I’ve had . Love wear os and love it more on this watch. Battery life is brilliant and can last me at least 2 busy days no worries.

After a few weeks with this watch I am very happy indeed. The functionality from fitness apps, sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring and sleep monitoring perform well with a good user interface.

The 4100 processor makes the interaction seamless and the dual LCD display that provides information on steps and a summary of ongoing fitness activity when running the Mobvoi apps is a very useful innovation. For those familiar with Wear OS from previous generations this watch offers a performance upgrade and clearly some future proofing with OS Wear 3 due to be rolled out in 2022.

There’s me thinking that Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS couldn’t be beaten but I have now found it with the Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS Ultra. There are only slight tweaks to the original 3 GPS but this has increased the battery, performance, health tracking, customisation & a compass.

    Design
Great design, elegant enough for formal wear & casual enough for the gym.

    Performance
Very smooth scrolling with flagship interactions. The Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS Ultra sports a modified Snapdragon 4100 processor which makes the smartwatch very snappy.

    Battery
Great battery allowing proper sleep tracking with all day use for at least 3 days with all sensors switched on. The low powered secondary mode (Essential mode) has addition customisations where you can change the colour to suite your mood & includes a backlight.

The other good thing about having this watch is it should be inline for a software upgrade from Wear OS 2 to Wear OS 3.

    Extended Features includes:
    24 hour heart tracking.
    Physical & Mental status tracking.
    Sleep tracking.
    Blood oxygen tracking.
    NFC for Google Pay.
    Waterproof for Swimming pools.
    Compass built-in
Mic & speaker to allow voice calls or Google Assistant.
Essential mode which puts the watch into an extra low powered state allowing sleep tracking, step counting & time for multiple days (I think 45 days is quoted, I’ve used it for 7 days from 100% & still ended up with 85%).
Essential mode can also be timed which I use between 00:45 & 07:00 leaving me to charge the Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS Ultra twice a week.

The only negative I have found is the name of the device is a bit too long but the price makes up for this.

In my opinion the best Wear OS smartwatch with a modified 4100 chipse

So I had the TicWatch 2 which I loved but got the TicWatch 3 after I damaged the TicWatch 2 (my fault). After a month of use I have found that the TicWatch 3 has improved over the TicWatch 2 in every way possible.

I like to wear a wrist watch all the time as I have to keep track of the time while I’m working and I prefer to see the time without having to take my phone out of my pocket or talking to an assistant.

I use the TicWatch 3 mainly in the essential mode as I can see the time but don’t have to worry about the battery dieing, I’m sure the battery will last easily over a month, and the back light in essential mode is awesome as it means I can use it in the dark. And the ability to choose the back light colour is an added bonus.

The other main thing I like about this watch is that it is so much faster to go boot up into normal mode. The smart watch boots up and ready to use within 30 seconds, that means that if I want to use all the function of the watch I only have to wait a few seconds, and then when I’m done I just put it back into essential mode. My TicWatch 2 was a bit slower in this department.

Other things I like about the watch. The extra bio sensors are really good and seems really accurate. The strap is much more comfortable, I changed the strap on my TicWatch 2 to a after market ceramic strap but I have decided to stay with the original for this one.

    Love this smart watch.

Prior to buying this watch I have owned a Tic watch S2 for the past 2 years. I have always been impressed by the reliability of the watch and ease of use so when it was time to upgrade I immediately looked at Tic Watch products.
The watch arrives in a nice size box with simple instructions in the form of a quick start guide and a neat magnetic USB charger which attaches to the underside of the watch.
The watch itself arrives with a comfortable brown leather look strap which gives it a distinctive classic appearance. The strap is a standard size and can be easily changed if you don’t like the colour.
The watch feels solid and well made with its gorilla glass screen. There are two large function buttons on the right hand side of the watch which add to the classic design and make the watch simple to operate.
The biggest difference I found from my S2 watch is the bigger watch face making interactions much easier. Despite the watch being larger than I’m used to it doesn’t feel much heavier so still sits comfortably on my wrist.
The watch display is particularly impressive with a low light “always on” display giving basic information such as time, date and step count. This mode is often all that is needed and obviously assists with battery life. However if you need more detail or need to interact with apps a touch of the screen activates full colour mode which is sharp and vibrant.
There are plenty of watch faces available for the phone through the Mobvoi app or google play store. Apps themselves are simple to download from play store and the phone arrives with a number of really useful Tic health apps already pre installed which are all simple to operate. Navigation around the watch is simple with a very responsive touchscreen and no noticeable lag due to its impressive processor.
I have used the phone to take and receive calls and found the microphone and speaker quality to be clear and reliable.
Battery life on the watch is one of its stand out features lasting 3 days at a time between charges with moderate use of apps including health apps which monitor heart rate 24/7. I believe in essential mode, with all apps turned off, the watch can last up to 45 days!!
I would highly recommend this watch based on build quality, ease of use and excellent battery life, I am delighted with this upgrade.

Produktbeschreibung!).

    hervorragende Smartwatch

I bought this off the back of owning the TicWatch S2 & the TicWatch Pro 2020. These days the older S2 isn’t quite up to my needs as a “Fitness” watch (the battery doesn’t last for 5 hour long mountain biking sessions when using the fitness features), so I wanted to swap my 2020 into my “Fitness” watch, the Pro 3 GPS (Bluetooth) seemed like the logical choice for my “good watch” :).

There are far more comprehensive reviews on here already so I’ll keep mine short by comparison.

General Thoughts – This watch is awesome, it’s fast, it’s responsive, it’s everything you could possibly want from a Smart Watch. The battery life is really impressive, the FSTN screen with a backlight is a stroke of genius (more below) and it’s clearly built to last. When I bought this I also bought some tempered glass screen protectors (these ones: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08LPS2H5Y 7.88 for peace of mind was a no-brainer) as I hate the idea of scratching or damaging the watchface itself, the pictures I’ve posted (other than the unboxing ones) are all with the screen protector on, you can’t really notice it at all and the watch still works perfectly.

    Pros –
    – The FSTN screen – The LCD screen on the previous “Pro” TicWatches was brilliant for battery life, but the FSTN screen takes this to the next level. I’ve turned off “tilt-to-wake” entirely, 90% of the time I look at my watch it’s for the time and now it has a backlight I can get this at a glance without any impact on battery life.

    – The battery life – This is probably massively helped by the screen, but it EASILY lasts 2 days (48 hours), with all of the bells and whistles turned on, I’m talking 24 hour heart & SP02 tracking, Stress tracking, Sleep as Android. Without that it would probably last 3 days but that isn’t my use-case.

    – The build is really nice, it’s lighter than the Pro 2020 that I have, but still feels just as robust, which is probably really nice if you’re looking to use this as a fitness watch

    – The OS/Apps – Whilst the watch is running WearOS, there are obviously a load of TicWatch apps on there, all of them serve a good purpose and integrate with other services e.g. Google, so if you want a heavily ‘Googley’ experience you can still get it, but by using the TicWatch apps you get them in a way that’s more optimised for the watch e.g. heart rate tracking, exercise sync-ing etc. (it even syncs to Strava for people that like that stuff).

    – Interchangeability – This seems like a really small/pointless thing, but it’s something I appreciate. I have a load of 3rd party (and TicWatch) watch straps from my other watches (S2 & Pro 2020) and they all fit this watch too, it means I can easily pick and choose what straps are on what.

    Cons –
    – I really wish I could find something I didn’t like, but any minor niggles that I have are WearOS specific rather than related to this watch e.g. I’d love to have more than 5 tiles, I’d love for there to be more data-driven/interactive watch faces for google fit, none of these are Mobvoi’s problem and certainly not an issue with the watch.
    – The only ‘bad’ thing about this watch is that it’s made me realise how slow/clunky my S2 is, again, not a fault of this watch, more of a complement of how excellent this watch is!

Overall, if you’re looking for a comprehensive smart watch without breaking the bank this is the answer, it’s got everything you need for not just for now, but its equipped with all the tech for the next generation of WearOS which is coming to TicWatch later in 2022.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersHello smartwatch enthusiasts,

I got the new Tic Watch Pro 3 Ultra 4g and it is amazing. I will start with the battery life because the smartwatch industry is struggling in this chapter. Give it a look boys and girls and see my final conclusions and why I think this is a good investment.

    Battery:
From 100% to 20% after the 1st charge lasted 48 hours. The other 20% went away in almost 10 hours. The essential mode will boost your watch life a few days with 20% but I kept it on smart mode to see how much it last. With each charge, the battery life will last more up to a point where it stays there. One thing that I got used to doing when using another smartwatch was to set my watch on Do Not Disturb Mode and Airplane mode while at home. I do not have any need for a smartwatch inside the house and during the night. This will save a lot of battery. Normally you will get more than 3 days if you disable all the features during the night and when you arrive home. The secondary display will give you all the info’s you need and it has a nice light background when you move your wrist to see the time. So, you do not need the always-on display function. Mobvoi is the only brand that has this technology implemented in a smartwatch.

I need to tell you that I know my sleeping pattern and other shenanigans and I do not use the watch mainly for that function.

The screen is really responsive as you can see from the video. Every side of the screen and app reacts quickly with no lag. I am really impressed by the fluidity of the screen. You can always use a plastic/glass screen protector. The screen is easily readable, even at sharp angles. I had no issues with strong artificial light

Google assistant is working as it should. With Google Assistant you can set your alarm, add notes, call your people from your list, and many other things.
You can use the watch as a phone if you have a Vodafone plan, here in the UK. The watch supports text messages, WhatsApp reply and calls, Outlook emails reply and through your Outlook you can also link your Gmail account. You can dial and call someone if you have your mobile in Bluetooth range and you can answer phone calls. The speaker of the watch is loud enough and you can clearly hear the person you talk with.

One of the best features is that it stays connected to the internet and my WhatsApp account and work email are always connected. Where I work, I cannot use my mobile and it is good to see your work emails and also to have a bit of access to WhatsApp.
Facer app will give you loads of choices when it comes to watching faces, but also Mobvoi and WearOS have some good ones. You can also design your watch face from Facer’s website. The one I have is designed by me, for example.

The watch body is light and does not feel big at all. I have a 17cm wrist circumference and the watch looks good as you can see. The nice dual-material strap can be swapped with anything 22m wide. I did swap mine with a plastic one because the original one is too beautiful and I want to use it on special occasions. Yes, boys and girls, I will wear this watch at my wedding this year and I will have the fancy brown leather/polymer strap.

From the APPs category, I love the voice memo where you can leave yourself voice messages for later. It is really handy and quickly instead of writing. You have Spotify and I’ve heard that YouTube is preparing an app called YouTube Music that will work with WearOS. The watch has both Mobvoi’s and Google’s fitness app and they work fine in terms of step counting and also detecting auto movement or exercises. The heart monitor does its job and also the oxygen monitor. I did not compare them to an actual medical device but comparing them with another smartwatch that has the same functions is similar. Play Store can let you install various apps like Google Maps, Calendar, Outlook and so many others.

    Conclusions:
Compared with other watches and other old versions of TicWatch, I think this year Mobvoi nailed it. WearOS is working smooth, with no lags and no screen freezing. Everything is loading quickly. I feel that I do not need my phone that much since I got the watch to do the basic things that I would do with my phone.

The watch is elegant and with some fancy straps and faces, you can wear it to anything. With a plastic/colourful watch strap, you can easily wear it when you do sport and it will not look weird.
This watch is good for people who do not have access to their phone like hospital workers, people who work in places with no 4G or 5G connection but Wi-Fi, or in environments that having a phone is not allowed, but also for people who like efficiency and quality.

I think the smartwatch is worth the money and the effort. No lag, no issues, good battery, good assistant, nicely presented menu with responsive apps, lightweight, good screen, beautiful hardware design.

Good battery, good screen, no lag, responsive apps.

Having previously owned the TicWatch 2020 Pro the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra 4G/LTE has some impressive improvements over the last generation:
    – Better battery life.
    – Backlit essential mode.
    – Sleep tracking support with syncing support for Google Fit..
    – Fitness/Health with syncing support for Google Fit.
    – More responsive with the new processor.
    – Speaker is crisp a clear with speech; microphone pickup has also been good having no complaints from recipients.
    – Lighter and slimmer than the older Pro 2020 variant.
    – New 2-pin charger design.

I’ve owned and used it now for about 11 days and aside from the initial first charge; I have charged it twice since then slipping it in to essentials mode when not really in much use. Admittedly I’ve not used the built-in 4G with not being a Vodafone user to comment on phone 4G battery consumption.

Impressive build quality; whilst remaining lightweight:
The black bezel features numbers etched in 5-minute intervals.
The included strap is a 22mm quick-release band, made of a Hybrid Leather and Rubber combination.

The UI feels really smooth, with no lag between screens. All touches/button presses were recognised, and no delays between presses and apps opening. There are many watch faces pre-installed and more can be download from the Play Store.

Many impressive improvements over the previous generatio

    Pros:
    – Lange Akkulaufzeit
    – Dual-Display Setup
    – Flssige Bedienung
    – NFC
    – Gute Leistung dank Snapdragon 41000

    Cons:
    – LTE nur mit Vodafone
    – Keine drehbare Krone

I have had a few different ticwatches up until now, and this is the best one BY FAR.

For me the most important thing in a smartwatch is the battery life. I have a Garming instinct that I use on a regular basis, and when the battery for that on average is 2 weeks, it’s hard for a ‘normal’ smartwatch to compare. This however has excelled my expectations, and as they state, it can very comfortably last for 72 hours. This is with ALL tracking turned on (heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep etc) which I found on my Ticwatch E drained the battery a lot faster. In essential mode I imagine it can last MUCH longer, however this also dramatically reduces what you can do on the smartwatch, so for me i haven’t got round to testing this feature yet.

It’s very comfortable to wear, and I feel looks very smart and subtle. It’s not too big either, which can always be a worry for me as I have quite small wrists! With this running Wear OS the apps and other watch faces you can download can sometimes seem endless and this is definitely something i need to explore more.

I have been running this connected up to an Iphone 12 and have also had no issues whatsoever which is always a relief.

All in all if you’re looking for a high end smartwatch with decent battery but FULL of features then I would definitely recommend this one!

    Very happy with this watch.
Wear OS so great range of Apps. Nativd GPay is a godsend. The heart, AfIB, and SPO2 work well.

Tested it swimming in a pool and has been fine (people expressed concerns re previous devices)

    GPS/Strava work well.

The battery life is 2-3 days and I use quite a lot of the features. They do a clever think with having both a beautiful Amoled screen when you want it and an ultra low power LCD screen when not.

    No complaints.

    Superb All Rounder.

I simply love my new watch. I have been using it for quite sometime now and I can say it goes over my expectations. The battery lasts for days. I keep it at night and it tracks my sleep pattern, my heart beats, my oxygenation and my stress level. I keep it while swimming whitout any issue. I use it to pay at the supermarket and to answer calls when I cannot reach the phone. I don’t need my phone close anymore at work, as I can check if someone looks for me.

This watch is, in my opinion, the ultimate companion watch for sports, health and sleep monitoring. The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra (and I assume TicWatch Pro 3) has a suite of monitoring functions — not just the sports monitoring and recording features you might come to expect from a top of the range sports watch, but TicSleep, which can record your sleep pattern — how long your total sleep ‘session’ was and if it was ‘light sleep’ or ‘deep sleep’. In my case, as someone who suffers from sleep apnoea, I am extremely impressed with this sleep monitoring capability and have already begun using it to tweak my routine for improved rest. The watch itself runs smoothly, with a bright clear screen, comfortable strap and unlike my previous sports watch, it doesn’t lag when switching apps.

The second thing I am really impressed with is the sports / health monitoring functions / apps. This watch automatically detects when you start to exercise, calculates the rough amount of kCal you’ve burned during that exercise session, min, max, mean heartrate, your exercise route / location and automatically stores all of this for review, allowing easy access to examine improvement over time. All of this can be viewed with the Mobvoi app & the Google Fit app as well. I’ve also begun using the TicZen app, which gives a visual representation of how stressed the watch thinks you are at that moment and provides guided (vibration & screen) breathing exercises to help become calmer.
The battery life is excellent — I charge the watch whenever I charge my phone which is normally for an hour after exercise every morning. It’s never run out on me.
It’s a very small thing, but I’ve also taken to leaving my phone at home and just taking the watch when I go out for a jog / walk instead. It can do everything I need that the phone can do & will auto-sync through the phone when nearby. The strap is of a high quality, but It can be changed out if necessary.
All in all, I’m VERY happy with this purchase. It’s not the first time I’ve purchased a TicWatch and it certainly won’t be the last!

p.s. I included a picture of TicSleep from the night prior to this review – just to show how impressed I am of it. It is a true representation and accurately recorded the number of times I woke up. This is really helpful to me.

Incredible purchase, one of the best purchases ever made for my health.

Bluetooth connection to the phone is set up easily. A few issues setting up the 4g/lte with Vodafone UK due to my one number being bugged due to a deleted Alexa blocking the order, but after 300 minutes in many calls this was sorted and the 4g/lte setup went smoothly when I did it from the wear os app on the phone.
When connected to the phone via Bluetooth all notifications come through fine. The health trackers all work SPO2, heart rate and sleep tracking all switched on for 24 hour monitoring. Monitoring looks accurate was better after calibration on the watch, though sleep tracking sometimes switches on while watching TV.
Google Pay works well. Double pressing the lower button brings this up (triple pressing lower button if on the FSTN screen) is set by default.
Battery life is good, easily gets 2 days and often 3 with everything running, and charging is quick, an hour every couple of days.
4G/LTE when away from phone works ok, can stream music to headphones, make & receive phone calls, use Google maps regardless of the phones state. As long as the phone is on and connected to the internet you can send and receive SMS and all notifications come through, can even reply to whatsapp using the watch. Not sure if it is worth the monthly expense of 7.00 or 3.50 with 50% discount. But handy if you don’t want to take phone with you and stay connected.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersVery fast, sleek and well made smart watch. As far as Wear OS watches got this is by far the market leader.

If i’m being honest i’d take 1/2 star off for the Wear OS version (its on v2 compared to v3 the samsungs are on) but that’s not anything mobvoi can do, thats on google. However looks like it’ll be released for this watch in January. Once it does it’ll be unbeatable.

The Mobvoi baked in apps make up for what’s missing with Wear OS, see screen shot.

Sleep tracking app is really good and found the results very accurate (and near enough the exact same as my Galaxy watch 3).

Exercise wise it was also very good, however the HR took a minute or so after starting to settle down and after that was pretty accurate.

What makes it for me is the look and feel. Looks like a proper watch, and very very comfortable, considering the size. The dual screen is amazing, just makes it more appealing.

Battery wise initially saw a day of battery but that was with me constantly tweaking and playing about. After that settled, easily gets 48 hours + and thats with everything on, exercise tracking, gps etc.

Never tested the 4G/LTE capabilities so cant comment on that.

Considering this has just been launched, and will receive many an update to iron out the small blips. Can see this being a great buy in the long run.

I have had many smartwatches in the last few years, many of witch were made by TicWatch. I’ve had the Pro 2, the Pro 3, the E3, and now this one, on top of others by Samsung and Huawei. I can say that by far this is the best watch I’ve used.
The UI, the tracking of vitals, and battery life are all incredibly improved from previous versions.
With 4G I can go running without having to bring my phone, which is also a great feature (but I imagine many will be equally happy with the non-4G version).
The processor seems to be very fast. I have had no lag in any action I’ve taken in just under a month of usage now.
Battery life is very very good. I can get about 4 days on average, although that might vary with how much one uses all the different features.
SpO2 and Heart monitoring have put my mind at rest as a long term sufferer of arrythmias – when I feel a bit low I can check those directly and know if it’s time to take a rest!

The design is very similar to the non-Ultra version, although I prefer the brown strap on this new version.

All in all a wonderful watch that I’m hoping will last me for a very long time (or at least until the next improved TicWatch!).

Has been connected to my OnePlus 8 Pro and I have used the watch for 3 days so far.
This is my 4th TicWatch and it doesn’t disappoint I have previously owned the TicWatch S, TicWatch Pro, TicWatch Pro 3 and now the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra.
From the get go the packaging of the watch was almost identical to the last 2 TicWatch’s I have owned this isn’t a bad thing by any stretch the box is high quality and has everything laid out neatly and makes everything easy to access.
The older Pro 3 was a great looking watch however Ultra version takes the cake as the slightly bevelled edge and flush gorilla glass makes it much more of a sight to behold. With the new Military Standard 810G specification all the materials of the watch feel much stronger which is to be expected. The side buttons are both very tactile and have nice click. My only slight problems with this watches design is that it is slightly heavier than the previous however this isn’t a deal breaker as it is plenty light as well as the bezel not rotating but this is to be expected as none of my TicWatchs have ever had it.
The display is the main reason I loved all my TicWatchs, the 1.4 inch dual screen display is incredible. For most of the time I see the low powered LCD display which show all the basic information I am accustomed to seeing at a glance with the ability to just tap on the screen and the full AMOLED display to light up and have full smart watch features with a smooth and responsive experience. With both of these displays I have had no issues with visibility and low brightness at any point of the day.
This watch using Wear OS meant that every app I tried from Sleep tracking to Spotify to Google keep all worked flawlessly and I noticed they opened faster than my previous watch. Another great feature was that is supports Google Pay which is such a nice thing to have due to the convenience of not having to get your phone or card out to pay as it is just on your wrist.
Battery life of this new model was better than the previous one, even when I was using the watch with so many features running like the 24/7hr and blood oxygen, as well as using it to monitor sleep.
The charger that comes with the watch is identical to the last model which was great for me to see as I didn’t have to rerun any cables.
In conclusion this is a great watch and I will definitely be recommending it to everyone.

    Just get this watch!!!

At first glance, opening the box felt expensive and taking it out, I was instantly surprised by how light weight the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra felt. For me the size suits a man’s or bigger wrist not a dainty little one and the strap (which can be replaced) doesn’t seem to suit the watch, the brown leather isn’t working for me. However, that’s where the negatives stop.

It connects smoothly to your Google account and adds the apps from your phone seamlessly. This means you can use Tic health, Google fit or any other fitness app you might already use. The feature that makes it for me is that you really can make calls through just the watch, no phone required! It’s so very James Bond on that front. And it works really well too, answer a call in a tap or reply to a text without the screen feeling too small.

Battery life is great, holds up well using continual heart rate monitoring for a full 24 hours so you can record heart rate during activity in the day and sleep monitoring during sleep and then carries on the following day too. Without pushing it too heard it could easily last 2 sleeps I think.

There are 2 physical buttons, one opens apps, turns it off, and the other double taps open to Gpay or Applepay making it easy to use at the checkout. You add a lock pin to make this secure just like on a phone.

You quickly get used to the gestures, once on screen and can find everything easily, I’d recommend for those who aren’t too techy, the Wear OS is intuitive and responsive. Sausage fingers are no problem as the screen is big enough and the text is appropriately sized for a finger or thumb. And the tilt to view works every time, I’ve encountered another smart watch that really made.you work to wake the screen.

The screen rests in dark mode and then wakes with whatever face you select, I popped the rainbow face on here. Background colour can be personalized too.

Its built in GPS means you can head off for a run with no phone lurking in your pocket and can answer calls en-route, that’s what a smart watch should do to earn it smart credentials otherwise it’s merely a bright watch.

Pleased with this watch is an understatement, I’m sure it has more surprises I’m yet to discover but so far it’s proving invaluable. I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy being so connected to be honest but I’m already feeling like i’d be a little lost with it.

What's not to like? Sleek and functional, Tic!

I really enjoy this watch so far. HR accuracy seems to be fine so as other trackers. Haven’t found anything yet that I wouldn’t like about this watch. When i fully test everything I’ll come back with an update. 5/5

I purchased the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS 4G LTE as a present for my husband, who was using an older version of the TicWatch. He had mentioned wanting to upgrade to a newer version so I surprised him with this! Most of this review will be based off his comments and experience of using the watch over the last week or so.

The box and packaging are very nicely designed with a premium feel. The contents are fairly minimal, with the watch itself, charger base, and some instructions. As far as the design of the actual watch itself, it is lovely. It has hard looking shiny materials on the bezel, with numbers around it. 2 hardware buttons on the side feel nice, and don’t seem to get in the way. The specification shows the screen as having gorilla glass, and the overall design is of a military grade so should be very hard wearing.

My husband said the watch felt nice and light, and was lighter than his previous version, and is very comfortable. The strap is a very nice-looking brown leather, or maybe leather effect? This adds to a fancier look, rather than a sporty design. But the straps are easily changed for any other 22mm strap. The underside of the leather strap has a very pleasing geometric pattern, which is a nice touch.

Powering on the watch, brings the screen to life. When in full smart mode the screen is clear, sharp, vibrant, and bright, and responds well to touch. It also has an “essential mode” which turns off the main screen and displays a power saving LCD type display with the basic information like time, date, steps etc.

The watch itself runs on Android Wear so it has access to Google store for apps. The included apps are quite plentiful though, with Phone, Calculator, Stopwatch and timers, Google Fit, Google Pay, all bundled as standard. My husband has used most of the apps in his day-to-day usage, especially Google Pay to make quick and easy purchases.

The other non-standard applications on offer are from TicWatch. The main one he has used is TicExercise to monitor exercise and dog walks etc. This combines a lot of the features, and gives a nice overview of exercise activities, steps, altitude, heart rate, blood oxygen, mental fatigue and more. There are also some other apps such as TicZen and TicHearing which are useful for mindfulness.

I was surprised that the battery was as strong as it is on this watch, as it was tracking so much from the above. 24 heart monitoring, blood oxygen, with extra heart health for irregular heartbeat detection and AFib, as well as sleep recording. The watch is consistently lasting 2 full days before needing a charge, and as the battery gets low it switches automatically into essential mode, which turns off most smart modes and only allows the LCD screen as mentioned before. This mode can also be used manually and will apparently last over 40 days in this mode.

When it comes to charging the watch, it sits nicely in the supplied USB charger dock, which is very small so great for travelling. it does not come with a USB plug, but these are so common these days it is normal for companies to not supply them.

An untested part of this so far, is the eSim functionality. By getting an eSim activated by Vodafone, you can have data on the watch without needing it to be tethered to a phone by Bluetooth/Wi-Fi. This would allow the watch to make and receive calls and texts totally by itself. He has no need for this function as of yet, but might be good for times when he wants to leave his phone at home.

All in all, he loves the watch and it was a great present 🙂

    Excellent Smart Watch from Mobvoi

I have owned the pro 2 and recently the E3 so would say I’m fairly familiar with them.
The watch looks very nice with less of a bezel that the pro 2 and doesn’t look out of place with a suit. The brown leather strap which I do like I think I might swap out for a black one to match the bezel.
The screen has the dual layer – the bottom one is like an old digital watch and shows you the minimum stuff you want to see where as the second screen is the full AMOLED with gorilla glass . The benefit of having the back light screen is it saves a good deal of battery life and when the screen would finally turn off from low battery (the screen colour can be altered to suit also) it defaults to this back light screen and can go for a few days on just that if required. I think the office spec if you use “essential” mode is some 45 days.
The watch has has access to all five global satellite systems (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and Beidou) which means you never really lose GPS signal. Along with the GPS is has 24/7 heart rate monitoring alongside the all day blood oxygen monitoring.
This being the LTE version is can make use of all the smart features without being connected to your phone – in order to do this you need a Vodafone “onenumber” plan that you need to get from Vodafone and is separate for this purchase.
You can receive and reply to messages on this and also use google pay.
As this is google based I believe you might get a few more options if paring with a google phone but I h e an iPhone and iOS app and can say I don’t notice anything I can’t do.
Like all the products I have tried of these they do offer a lot of feature for the money spent. With this also have the option of LTE I think it along with a host of sensors and features found on higher costing watch I can say this is a solid watch for the money

    High achieving watch for all

I finally decided to take the plunge and get myself a smartwatch. Having looked at all the competition I settled on the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra and I am glad I did.

    Packaging & shipping
The watch arrived promptly and securely thanks to a one time password being required before the courier would hand over the parcel to me which i was happy about. The watch arrived in a slick looking box and inside was the watch itself, manuals and charging cable.

    Initial impressions
The watch is obviously very well engineered, not too heavy, excellent finishes on all surfaces and with a nice big screen. There is a quality feel to the watch, especially the black metal bezel with what i assume to be laser etched groves and numbers. The buttons are easily accessible and using them confers a feeling of refinement which I hoped to find. The supplied strap is just as good and i am pleased to find that it is swappable so should i need to change the look of the unit down the line I will be able to.

    Setting up
Happily the watch was fully charged upon delivery so i didn’t have to wait to play with it! As it’s a WearOS device you have to go though setting it up with you Google account which was as painless as you’d expect. Once linked with your account and paired with your phone (I have an iPhone XS and had no issues) you get to start having fun.

    Features
As it’s a WearOS based device you have the standard Google apps to use and many more available to download on the play store. I won’t cover that here as this is a review of the watch and not of Google’s services.

In terms of the cusomtised Tic apps though there are plenty on offer. The watch has all the features you’d expect from a smart watch in terms of fitness activity monitoring, pulse rate monitoring, wellness apps etc but also has some premium features which aren’t as common on other models, namely TicHearing (for ensuring ambient noise levels are not too high) but most impressively TicOxygen which actively measures your blood oxygen levels. Given the current pandemic this is a potentially life-saving feature which really makes this watch shine for me.

    Display & Hardware
The display is large and bright but despite this battery life is conserved due to it having a dual display which cleverly allows you to see essential information without activating the main display. This is a smart innovation which no doubt contributes a lot to the impressive battery life (see below). The touch screen is responsive and has a nice refined feel to it, I’ve not had any missed or mis-clicks so far, what more can you ask?

    Battery life
Decent battery life was a must have for me and the TicWatch doesn’t disappoint, even with moderate use of the features it still keeps going for pretty much 72 hours straight before needing a charge. Obviously this varies depending on usage (e.g. if you use it to track a lot of fitness activities then expect to charge it more often) but even so the amount of power this thing has is impressive. Of course heavy use of the 4G/LTE features does drain the battery faster but if you make sure you use WiFi where available then it’s easily manageable and more than worth it for the features available with….

    …4G/LTE functionality
Fancy leaving your phone at home during a workout? No problem, the built in LTE/4G allows you to untether yourself from your phone but stay connected when out and about. Using the vodafone onenumber service you can make and receive calls on your current phone number without being anywhere near your actual phone, pretty slick. Of course you also have full internet access as well so this is a really great for peace of mind to know you’re fully contactable and have access to all your email/text/whatsapp messages as well.

    Overall
Yep, I’m happy. Great value for money and a fine quality smart watch!

I originally purchased the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS and was very happy with the quality and price of such a feature packed device, but curiosity caused a purchase of the New 4G/LTE model and I have to say I’m incredibly happy.

I’ve had many of people comment on how ‘expensive’ and ‘smart’ it looks.

I’m very, very impressed with the improved backlight on essential mode, which I do use a lot due to work patterns meaning charging isn’t always an option.

Charging takes roughly an hour and a half from essential mode to 100% which seems to be an improvement from previous ticwatch models, especially the Pro S and Pro 2020.

The strap on the Ultra 4G/LTE isn’t my favourite and I have swapped this for the silicone strap for comfort purposes, this is simply user preference, I also don’t like brown as a choice.

The new UI is my favourite by far, from previous models I felt it was dated and clunky, now navigating the app screen is fluid and quicker which showcases the improved processor (snapdragon 4100)

If you’re in the market for a upstanding brand and packing features this is a no brainer, it certainly looks the part and performs like no other smart watch brand I’ve come across yet.

Once again a fantastic product from Mobvoi and will certainly return for the next smartwatch release!

Any questions feel free to ask!

Is the 4G version worth the price increase? In short, yes!

I originally purchased the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS and was very happy with the quality and price of such a feature packed device, but curiosity caused a purchase of the New 4G/LTE model and I have to say I’m incredibly happy.

This is my first Smartwatch – after holding off for a number of years I felt now was the time to dip my toe in the water and having seen other members of my family enjoy the previous generations of Ticwatch it felt like the right thing to do going with the very latest iteration of this watch family and to have the support and suggestions of the other Ticwatch users in the household to lean on if required.

This particular model has only just been released (I pre-ordered on Amazon a week or so before release and the watch was duly delivered by the Official Mobvoi Store, courtesy of Amazon). The watch is nice packed in a smart and sturdy box and the contents are well laid out and secured within this. I found the watch, a quick start guide, a charging cable (no plug but you only need a standard USB charger to connect to which was no problem in my household). Charging with the magnetically connected lead was straightforward and fast and I installed the WearOS app on my Android phone in the meantime.

The watch itself is substantial looking but lightweight and the strap being a leather/silicone combination looks and feels really nice on the wrist – I have had admiring comments from people asking me what watch I was wearing and I would say it does look more expensive than it really is.

Setup was easy and did not take long, with a combination of the watch and the phone prompting me, I chose a nice watchface to run with initially (called Rhythm) and then started to play with the other apps and settings available before living my life with the watch to see how it worked for me. I have the watch set to always-on-mode as I love to see the animated watch face at any time, this does have an impact on overall battery life but I still found I only needed to charge every two or three days.

I have been wild swimming several times a week in the last year so it seemed natural to go for a rugged Smartwatch that would be able to cope with the knocks and bangs (as well as the water!) involved in such pursuits. This watch did not disappoint in this respect in any way. It is apparently built to US Military Standard 810G – I’m not sure what that covers exactly, but I can say that this watch appears to be very tough. It is advertised as being dust-proof, waterproof (IP68 rated) as well as capable of withstanding temperature, humidity and shock extremes. All I can say is, it has survived my beach and river swimming activities without skipping a beat, I’ve clambered over rocks, sat in the sand and jumped in the sea. There is a an option to run a series of tones (long press the lower button) to drive any residual water from the speaker/mic which I think is worth doing (when I remember).

I should say that whilst this is my first Smartwatch so I don’t have anything to compare with, it seems really responsive with no lag at all when running any of the apps that I have played with so far. In terms of support and updates, whilst this watch is currently on WearOS V2, support for the newest iteration, WearOS V3 has been promised at some point which is great news.

The 4G/LTE functionality is not enabled yet on my phone – I need to speak to Vodafone as I understand they are offering a contract for the Ticwatch range and it would be really useful to be able to make and take calls and messages away from my phone (whilst swimming for example) – further investigation to come on this. I tend to use GooglePay on my phone whilst out and about so the ability to pay from my watch without getting a phone out of my bag has proven to be really useful and quick to do.

I love the ability to quickly review messages – WhatsApp or text etc (including graphic/photo content) – avoiding the need to pull your phone out to take a look and it is even possible to respond to messages quickly and easily with a pre-canned response. I find the message vibration alerts work well and get your attention without too much fuss or audible feedback.

App wise you do get a good selection of useful health related apps pre-installed – (both Mobvoi and generic Google variants), SPo2, heart rate, stress etc – I set all of these to continuous monitoring so I can keep an eye on my levels throughout the day (and night – with sleep tracking thrown in for good measure) – so it has been fun seeing how fit (or unfit at times) I appear to be. I have installed the Strava app and tried this with both walks and cycling which works well – when you reach the end of your activity, simply hit the end button and the whole exercise including the route taken etc is uploaded to your account so you can see it in full detail on your phone, brilliant! The Google Assistant is useful for setting alarms and timers (as well as lots of other things I’m sure!) and I found using my watch to control the Spotify app in the gym made sense. Beyond this there are apps for numerous other purposes available in the PlayStore via the watch.

All in all I love my new watch, this may be my first Smartwatch but I can’t fault the experience in any way, from the rugged construction to the lovely bright, responsive screen and decent Multi-day battery life, it’s a winner for me and I’ll certainly be recommending the brand and specific watch model to friends and family in the future.

This is the first time I’ve moved into more of the luxury side of TicWatch and it’s been great so far. In the past, I’ve used the E2 & E3 and most notably on this watch is the size of the watch face and the battery life. The larger watch face makes it a lot easier to interact with apps on the watch and the battery life has been great, including daily workouts. In addition, the watch has been comfortable during workouts and the strap hasn’t caused any irritation. It’s a bit more on the expensive side of smart watches but it definitely feels more upmarket than their previous watches.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI decided to buy the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra 4G as an upgrade on my previous TicWatch and I’m glad I did!

The improvements made from the previous versions are great and the battery life is brilliant, so far I’ve used around 40% of the total battery after 2 days of use with all the monitors on for heart rate and such. At the current rate I’m using it, it should last for around 4, maybe 5, days before needing a charge.

I’ve been using the watch with pre-installed Mobvoi apps: TicHealth and TicPulse, TicSleep, TicZen, TicOxygen, and TicHearing. They’re all just as good as I expect and track everything I need, also automatically syncing across to Google Fit as well once you set the link between them up.

The watch strap is definitely the best one so far, it has a brown leather-effect exterior on the strap and looks much more stylish than the previous full plastic ones you would get. It’s also very comfortable to wear. The watch itself is the same size as previous as well so that’s a bonus.

It runs on the Snapdragon 4100+ chip with Wear OS so it’s more efficient than my previous watch and the new features like the coloured essential mode display and the improved battery life make it a good improvement overall.

Additionally, if you’ve got an eSIM from someone like Vodafone then you can have your calls and texts on the watch itself without needing your phone with you. I personally always keep my phone with me, but it is good to know that if I run out of phone battery, I can do everything necessary on my watch until I can charge my phone up again.

I recommend this watch for those looking for a good quality watch with great battery life and stylish looking strap! It’ll last you a long time!

Great battery life and an improved backlight for the essential mode display!

The Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS is probably the best WearOS watch on to date. The watch housing feels and looks great. I really like the design of the watch.

It also features two displays, one OLED screen and a second LCD, comparable to old Casio watches, thus the battery life boosts up to 4 days with my heavy usage.

WearOS 2 is super smooth, thanks to the custom tuned Snapdragon Wear 4100. There is no lag and very few loading times.

Fitness tracking is also top notch, it’s accurate and with build in GPS and GLONAS perfect for working out without the smartphone. Thanks to YouTube Music you can enjoy your tunes with offline listening.

Overall I love this watch, in my humble opinion, it’s the best WearOS watch.

I love this watch. It's probably the best WearOS watch on the market.

Golden Review Award: 42 From Our UsersI purchased the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS off the back of already owning the TicWatch Pro 3, and the TicWatch Pro 2020 before that. Both the previous 2 models were superb, so as soon as the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS came out, I knew I wanted one!

    Packaging
Outwardly, the packaging of the watch was very similar to the previous versions, a high-quality box containing the watch, instructions, and charger, all packaged with care to ensure a flawless product on delivery.

    Watch Design
As expected, this iteration of the Pro 3 series is stunning. The older Pro 3 was very good looking, but this Ultra version excels with additions such as the slightly bevelled edge and almost flush glass, which is Gorilla Glass in this version — very handy and rugged. The materials of the watch feel very durable, which you would expect from the Military Standard 810G specification.
The black bezel still maintains a nice reflective quality, with numbers etched on it in 5-minute intervals. The bezel does not rotate, but this is expected as neither did the previous model.

The side buttons both feel robust and are unobtrusive even when bending the wrist (if you wear it on your left wrist like I do, some watch buttons can get pressed when bending the wrist)
The watch seems the same thickness as the than the earlier Pro 3 model, but does come in approximately 7g heavier at a total of 68g. That said, it still feels light and is very comfortable.
    Strap
The supplied strap is a 22mm quick-release band, which is made of Fluoro Rubber and is super soft to the touch. It has a decent amount of flex, without feeling floppy, and at the same time it feels very durable.

    Display
This is where the Ticwatch really shines. Using the clever 1.4″ dual display, the majority of the time the watch will be using the low-power always-on LCD screen. This screen shows the essential information like Time, Date, Step count, and battery. By either clicking a button, or tilting your wrist, this activates the AMOLED display which then allows the full smart watch functionality, with responsive touch screen and a host of apps at your disposal.
The LCD display is great for viewing in light areas, and is perfectly readable in direct sunlight, which a lot of smart watches cannot do. In a change to the previous version. the LCD can utilise a coloured backlight mode, which is a nice addition.
The full AMOLED display is bright and vibrant with excellent viewing angles, and dark blacks.

    Apps
Most of the apps are fairly standard from a Google Watch OS standpoint. All the regulars are there like Google Fit, Phone, Memo, Calc, Alarm, Stopwatch/Timer, Weather etc. With the benefit of access to the Google Play store to download thousands of other apps.
My most used apps such as Google Keep, Strava, Spotify all worked flawlessly.
Another big plus is Google Pay, which is fully supported on this watch. I programmed the bottom hardware button to be a single press to Google Pay (though by default the double click also does this), and I have made numerous purchases using it, as it is SO convenient. In case you’re worried about security, if using Google Pay you must set up a PIN or pattern, which activates every time you put on the watch. Therefore, if the watch was taken from you, Google Pay would not function without it.
In terms of the Tic built in apps:
I have TicSleep monitoring my sleep, as the watch is comfortable enough to wear to bed
TicZen and TicBreath can help de-stress
TicHearing can be used to measure the volume of an area
TicPulse is used to monitor my heart rate, which I have set to do 24/7 monitoring. Accuracy seems consistent with the Pro 3 and Pro 2020 models.
TicOxygen measures blood oxygen levels. I also have this running 24/7.
TicExercise has all the modes you would expect from an exercise tracking app — Run, Walk, Treadmill, Cycling, Freestyle, and many more including Swimming due to the IP68 water resistant rating. It can also upload to Strava, which is my exercise hub of choice.
A new addition to the Tic apps is Hearth Health, which can 24/7 monitor your heart activity to detect Irregular Heart Beat such as AFib.
All of this gets pulled into the TicHealth app which gives a nice overview of all the above functions.

    TouchScreen and Hardware
The screen is responsive to touch, I would say more responsive than the previous models. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 platform, which is a powerful applications processor and ultra-low power co-processor, performs admirably and combined with the 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM it never seems to slow down or show any signs of lagging.
The usual connectivity that you’d expect such as Bluetooth 5 and 802.11b/g/n Wireless, and a whole host of GNSS technology (GPS+Beidou+Glonass+Galileo+QZSS)

    Battery Life
I was pleased to see that the battery life of this new model was as good as if not better than the previous one, even when I was using the watch with so many features running, such as the 24/7hr and blood oxygen, and also wearing it to monitor sleep. From first charge, I was able to eek out 3 days, including 2 nights. I haven’t used it in essential mode, which shuts down all smart performance, limits you to the LCD screen and only monitors steps, but this mode should allow up to 45 days!

    UI
The UI on this feels buttery smooth, with no lag that I can detect. All touches are recognised, and no delays between presses and apps opening.

    Charging
The watch includes a discreet magnetic charging clip. It clicks into place effortlessly and allows the watch to sit at a slight angle, which would be nice for a bedside if you’re not wearing it to bed along with TicSleep.

    Conclusion
So in conclusion, this is a superb and very comfortable smartwatch that I can see myself wearing for years to comeOr at least until the next model comes out!

Another Stunning Smart Watch from TicWatch

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersTicWatch 3 ULTRA GPS has been with me for more than a week now and I can only say that I love this watch. I am happy to share my opinion and help any other interesting person.
    – OVERALL: The watch, as the previous version, is a great watch, with great battery life and very powerful. has many features that allow monitoring your activity with very high accuracy. It has Wear OS and I really hope will be updated to the 3rd version.
    – DESING: I like the rounded shape and I still think is the best shape for a watch. The glass is now upper and at the same level as the crown which allows you to have a better experience with the gesture. Even I love this design, I would like to see some differences from the next version.
    – MILITARY standard and new CROW: The watch is now certificated with MIL810 and I can tell you seems very durable and robust. I love the new crown knurled.
    – NEW LCD BACKGROUND LIGHT: You have now the possibility to change the background light of the LCD screen. more than 9 colors and at the moment I use the orange one.
    – GOOGLE ASSISTANT is working as per any other android smartwatch, but I think in TicWatch is very well implemented because can be activated with OK google or just with a double tap on the first button. At the moment I can’t use to call any contact. I think is a problem related to google that I have in my previous one as well.
    – GOOGLE PAY: I have set it up immediately and I am using it every day when I get public transportation. It can be activated with a double click on the second button and immediately you can use it.
    – BAROMETER: I haven’t yet found any app pre-installed that I could use this functionality, but I have used a 3rd part app from playstore.
    – CHARGING TIME: I think this version is using a new charger that allows charging faster than the previous one. It’s about 30% in 25 minutes makes for a full charge below 90 minutes. Additionally, the watch does not get hot during charging and charging takes less time.

Still the best Android smartwatch with incredibly battery life and barometer.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI had previously been using the Ticwatch Pro and just from initial sight this iteration was an eyepleasing upgrade. The watch was noticably smaller in its depth and lighter in its weight, while leaving the size of the face. Comfort wise the soft strap sits nicely and doesn’t tug, with the one downside being the lack of a second holding piece to keep the strap attached to the watch.

It is more reactive in its interface and simple aspects like the app experience have changed for the better. I generally utilise it for its fitness aspects and found it responsive and it synced up well with the Google Fit and Mobvoi apps on the phone well and they were accurate for the distances run.

With the added GPS I found that it tracked the actual tracks of my runs through the hills a lot better with no odd routings.

Battery wise with heavy use it lasted 4 days before requiring a charge.

    Overall a recommended product.

    A big upgrade

The watch arrived in a neat and tidy box.

    Included in the box:

    Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS
    Propritorty charger
    Quick start guide
    Warrenty information

This is the first Pro watch I’ve bought since I got the original Ticwatch Pro as a christmas present in 2018. This watch is a fantastic upgrade compared to the original Pro. The watch is easy to set up using the Wear OS app.The charging clasp easily connects to the watch magnetically. The good thing about this clasp compared to the original Pro is that it is a good but longer and is a smaller clasp so will be easier to put in a tech pouch. Another thing I liked was the style of the charging cable, rather than be round it is a flatter cable.

I only needed to charge the watch once. The smart watch mode lasted around 3 days for me which is what we are told it will last. A couple of features that helped make that happen was turning the always on screen feature off, turn off tilt to wake and turn on the tilt to lightup back light. This is a fantastic new feature that gives a back light to the essential screen so you aren’t wasting the battery on the smart mode tilt to wake or always on display. The find my phone feature is always helpful when like me sometimes you put your phone down and can’t remember where. It simply makes the phone ring like a call coming through

I’ve used the watch for a week now. I have really enjoyed having the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS on my wrist. Mobvoi have updated the strap and it feels very comfortable. You can also change the strap with any 22mm watch strap. The interface runs very smoothly. You can easily change the face of the watch if you so wish either using the watch, Wear OS app or on the Mobvoi app.

Notifications on the app can be read by swipping up and to get rid of the notification swipe it to the right. When you get an email, message or WhatsApp you can do one of four things, reply with an emoji, draw an emoji, send one the automated responses or you can send the reply you want by typing it on the watch.

The TicExercise app is fantastic. I used on the run I had. You can also use it when swimming and cycling. The heart rate monitor is on the back of the watch. TicPulse app I found measures the heart rate very accurately. The app is easy to use just clicking on app and tap to begin heart rate monitoring. One of the new features I like is the Mobvoi launcher, this sets out the apps 2×2 rather than the standard Wear OS launcher. New health features include IHB/AFiB Detection and Fatigue Assessment

The watch can also control the media you have on your phone. You can control it by pausing, skipping track and volume control. You can also connect any bluetooth enabled headphpones by going into Connectivty, bluetooth and clicking on avaible devices to add the headphones. As there is 1gb of ram onboard the watch you can also download music from Spotify or Youtube Music so if you’re going for a run or walk you do not need your phone with you.

Having had the watch for a week now and I am delighted with it, overall the features on this watch make it one of the top Wear OS smart watches on the market. In the next Pro watch I’d like to see Mobvoi bring in wireless charging given that Samsung has been using wireless charging in their watches for some time.

    Fantastic upgrade

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWoww, impressive new slim design and great upgrade from the tic watch pro 2020. I was curious about the battery life and woow it actually had more then 72 hours of battery life left. First 24hours just normal general use, 70% left. After 48 hours of use 40% left (30min cycling class) and finally after 72 hours 16% battery left. My heard rate monitor and all the other functions where on all the 72 hours also used Google pay which worked perfectly first time. Quick and smooth response from the watch. The watch feels very premium and comfortable. So far very please with my purchase.

I have had this watch for almost a week now – I bought it as an upgrade to my Ticwatch E2, itself a fine watch, but not in the same class. The Pro 3 Ultra is comfortable to wear and looks good, but it’s only when using it that it really shines. The UI is fast and responsive – that sluggishness that WearOS has been accused of in the past is gone, with instant reaction to any gestures. The battery life is another thing – the battery charge lasts over two days, and that’s with me playing with it quite a bit, as you do with a new toy. The display is bright and sharp and the secondary low-power display is clear, even when wearing driving glasses with polarising lenses which make my phone screen look black.

Of course, the watch also has plenty of sensors and the second button allows you to select from a huge list of rather specific exercises – it even has skating, table tennis and taekwondo! It has heart rate and SpO2 monitoring as well as steps. If you feel you need it, it has a new constant heart monitor to help detect arterial fibrillation; it’s turned on separately but be aware that turning it on drains the battery – it only lasts a day with this turned on, although it does warn you of that when enabling it.

All in all, it’s a really good watch – I’m delighted with it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis smartwatch is light and comfortable and built with high quality and resistant materials. It has a great performance due to its last generation processor and memory.
Perfect option for those who are looking for a robust watch with multiple advanced sensors, including barometer and five different global navigation satellite system. Location, speed and distance is accurately monitored. In general, health and sports monitoring sensors do their job and are quite useful.
The phone is really easy to set up and to connect to the phone. The magnetic charger has a similar size to a standard USB cable. The watch battery can really last for days and it can be charged in few hours. The FSTN LCD enables to extend the battery for longer and it keeps the display cool with multiple backlight colours.
I really do not regret my purchase.

I’ve been wearing this watch for a few days now and it feels and looks premium. It should be for the price tag, but I can’t help feeling impressed every day by the build quality.

In these first few days I’ve still not had to charge the phone out of the box, that says everything you need to know about the battery life. My older smartwatch would barely last a day! Will be really interesting to see how essential mode goes. This extensive battery life is mostly down to the FSTN screen which I think actually looks cool and at a flick of the wrist it lights up this second screen. Also you can change the colour of this FSTN screen, purple is my favourite so far!

As a qualified referee I run a paid app called Refsix. This app puts the watch through its paces as it is always on and stays bright. You also have to interact with the interface throughout the game multiple times, after the game it lost around 25% charge which is brilliant compared to the 75% charge I was losing on my previous smartwatch.

The general usability is slick and noticeably quick, the menus and swipe features are rapid yet feel smooth. It felt like the first time I went to a high refresh phone.

The quality of the Ticwatch graphics, menus and images are very impressive, some of the apps do need a facelift however, specifically Google Pay, looks incredibly low res for some reason?

Speaking of Google Pay I’ve never had a Google Pay watch and whilst this isn’t a new feature it works and looks cool doing it (I think).

I finally have a watch I can workout with, work with and look decent when out and about.

WearOS finally gets a smartwatch it deserves!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHaving had 3 previous TicWatches I was excited to learn of Mobvoi’s latest release. There are three reasons that I makes these watches as my choice: battery life, performance, and screen visibility. Mobvoi has found a way to add value to this product range continually — and the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra keeps that going.

I much prefer having an always on display, it is a watch after all. So I thought the dual display from Mobvoi was a genius idea as it lets you have a normal watch most of the time, and all the smart features you want at the touch of a button. This watch has gone a step further in providing a live seconds counter and a back light, which you can now further personalize with a choice of colours. This is the way forward for all smartwatches IMO.

The battery life is fantastic, you easily get 3 days out of a single charge which means you don’t have to remember to bring the charger if you go away for the weekend. I’ve not really had any need to use the Essential mode, but with normal everyday usage, even with 24-hour heart and oxygen monitoring enabled 3 days is realistically achievable.

The performance is really good, anything I asked it to do was smooth and fluid with no delay. The Mobvoi dual processor system makes it noticibly faster than the Pro 3. The screen is wonderfully clear either indoors or out and it’s range of exercise apps make it a great choice for outdoorsy people.

I’m really looking forward to the release of WearOS 3 next as it’s been confirmed that this watch will get the upgrade. In summary, I’d recommend this watch to anyone, it doesn’t just claim it can do things, it actually does them all incredibly well.

Lots of small improvements add to up a great upgrade.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersSo I’ve been using this watch for a few days and here are my thoughts:

General impressions – A nice smartwatch that feels like its been built to last, has all the key features available out of the box regardless of the brand of your phone and an impressive battery life.

Features – Great, runs Wear OS which is my favourite operating system for smartwatches, currently running Wear OS 2 but understand will move to Wear OS 3 soon. Unlike other smartwatches no features are locked behind a paywall, I don’t own a Samsung Watch because of their habit of locking features unless you have a Galaxy phone. This watch doesn’t care what phone you own, it still does what it needs to do. The UI is very nippy and responsive, short video of me flicking through menus attached.

Because it uses a shared, well-established platform there are a load of watchfaces available which vary from ones that look like old watches to “Ironic” ones like my preferred”Twelveish” watch face that you can see in one of the pictures. In addition to the “active” watchfaces there is a battery saving one that kicks in when you are not actively using the watch for anything and displays time, date and step count.

Two physical buttons one the side have a satisfying clunk one of which takes you to the app menu or homescreen (depending on context) and the other is programmable so could take you to a specific sitness feature you use often or to a screen to set timers while cooking.

Build Quality – Sturdy, the watch is not heavy but it does have a nice weight to it, doesn’t feel cheap, feels like its built to last. The Sports style strap that comes with it is grand but its a standard watch strap fitting so you can swap in and out to your own taste.

Battery – Excellent, I have all the bells and whistles turned on (continuous heart rate monitoring etc) and even with the extra battery drain that comes from messing around with a new device its still easily two days between charges (which are very quick) so three days with normal use seems very likely.

Fitness features – This is not the main reason I wear a smartwatch but the automatic exercise tracking seems to work really well, using the sensors to determine your activity. Works with its own app but can also be linked to Google Fit which means integration with MyFitnessPal etc.

    Great Wear OS Smartwatch

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersSo I’ve been using this watch for a few days and here are my thoughts:

General impressions – A nice smartwatch that feels like its been built to last, has all the key features available out of the box regardless of the brand of your phone and an impressive battery life.

    Great Wear OS Smartwatch

I am really pleased with this watch. I was worried that the watch might be of substandard quality or slow to react through menus like some other smart watches – but I was very wrong.
On opening the nicely presented box you get the watch itself, a USB charger cable (no power adapter) and a simple user guide which explains the basic functions.
My first impression was that the watch itself is beautifully made, the bezel is very well machined and this gives it a quality look and feel. The silicone rubber strap is soft and overall the watch is really comfortable on the wrist. As you can see from my photos the watch is large in diameter but once on its not too big (my wrists are fairly small). The watch itself is quite thin compared to a lot of smart watches so it doesn’t feel bulky, or like your going to catch it on passing doorframes all the time.
Once you connect the watch to your phone via the WearOS app its all very simple to setup and I was done in just a few minutes.
This watch is no slouch – it performs far better than any of my other smart watches. Its quick to call up menus and go between apps. The screen is a big leap forward it has two modes awake which is colourful and vibrant (seem to be a very high resolution) but even when in rest mode you can see the screen is still bright both modes are easily seen even in direct sunlight.
Battery life is good too as expected and it also charges quickly.
There is an array of TicWatch and Google apps for fitness, wellbeing and health and I love changing the watch faces to suit my mood or activity.
In summary don’t be in any doubt about buying this watch, its a great performer, its comfortable to wear and imo looks better than many more expensive watches.

    Excellent Value - Great Performe
