Incredibly helpful little gadget. Having had a C-section; being able to pump and myself/partner give our child breastmilk, is so reassuring in the long run. The guilt was terrible, but having the pump definitely lessens it.
Remember that the first charge took far longer than the 40 minutes stated in the instructions!
When you reach the highest setting, the suction is good, and it does appear like the unit is exerting a lot of work. It pauses as you change the level, which I didn’t enjoy because my old one didn’t. However, it is a very straightforward pump that is simple to disassemble and reassemble. Unfortunately, neither a stand nor a converter ring for the bags are included.
Even though I am aware that it is intended for battery use, using it while it is charging would be very difficult. But it utilized the earlier USB standard, making a new cable simple to obtain.
I was using the hospital grade pump whilst in and this individual one is better, takes leas time to get more volume and its so easy and portable!! I also got it for just over 60 on Amazon on sale so definitely worth it!!

I already own the manual Tommee Tippee pump and had used it for emergencies as it’s pretty hard going. I bought the electric version as my 7 month old needs to swap to bottles (going back to work) and she will not drink formula. This pump is pretty much identical to the manual pump, just a bit more updated in it’s looks. It fits nicely and is easy to hold. The settings are pretty simple and I found the best pump setting after just a couple of attempts. Keeps its charge pretty well, you can also use it whilst it’s charging which is handy. The suction settings do vary quite a bit with rhythm, speed and strength so it’s just a matter of exploring what works best. The only thing I would say is it’s quite loud. I’d hoped to be able to pump whilst I fed my daughter during the night but the pump is too distracting for her. Not the end of the world for me, I’ll just work round it as the pump is so comfy and works well for me.
This was perfect and worked great. Over all I didn’t know what to expect but I had to turn the tele up while using it and couldn’t use it while baby was asleep in the same room as it’s rather loud
Life save, got it on affer which helped. Only advice is to use cotton ear buds to get them hard to reach areas that a bottle brush won’t ge

After reading a lot of negative reviews of this product I had to review it. I have previously used MAM pump and Avent hand pump to express. This is not silent or discreet but definitely much quiter than other pumps. Takes me around 20 mins on each side to fully empty (not talking 60 mls) so I would say it is not that powerful in suction but this is the first pump that has not left me sore. A number of reviews say that you get wet from the dribble at the end, all pumps have that issue if you are not careful, I won’t say it is just the fault of this pump.
Cleaning is difficult like all other electric pumps. I find hand pumps are the only ones easier to clean.

Very good pump however after a month it stopped pumping and had no suction to it – had to return.
This has been a life saver. Different setting have made it easy to choose and change suction power. It’s a comfortable fit and super easy to clean. It is noisy but not too noisy if that makes sense.

After using it for 7 months, I can say that it works very well for us. And I tried using a professional Medela symphony. This one was getting more milk out than Medela. Definitely recommend. Great price / quality combination.

Good suction, easy to use and to clean and assemble. However not sure why would you buy a single pump. I wish I knew before and otherwise would have bought a double pump. Takes long time to do one breast and then the other better to do both at once. With this pump I have managed to express up to 110ml from both breasts in 30 min.

I had no idea what to buy breast pump wise. I wanted to express 1 bottle for my partner to do 1 feed around midnight to give me some sleep early on. It’s brilliant for me. The assembly after sterilising is easy. Just pop it on and press the on the button. I just let it cycle through the settings, which just starts off slow and gets faster. It’s slightly uncomfortable on the highest setting but not painful. I manage to express 3oz in 8 minutes, which feeds my 12 day off greedy boy just fine for 1 feed. The only thing slightly annoying is I have to lean forward slightly for milk to go in bottle because of the slanted shape.

This pump is amazing. I found it so easy to use, and such good quality. I pump exclusively so use it alot and couldn’t be without it. I got it when it was on offer so it was such good value.
It can become abit of a faff when cleaning and sterilising after every use for two reasons, the rubber suction cup has to be fitted ontop of the hard plastic and can be quite tricky to get on and you also have to wait for it to completely dry before putting back together. The item itself doesn’t hurt at all and is very straight forward to use. Just be careful of the small spillage when removing the cup from breast after pumping.
This is a pretty good pump. My first ever pump with it was relatively successful even though my milk had only just come in.
It’s a lot quieter than the previous version and I like that you don’t have to be stuck in one spot as it can be charged up and is movable.
However, I did find the suction wasn’t as good as the previous model even though it has more suction options.
It does need to be angled quite specifically on the breast otherwise it doesn’t seem to get suction.
It’s pretty easy to clean, it all comes apart and can be sterilised easy however that is a little bit of a faff especially with a 22month old and a new born both needing a lot of attention.
Pumping ended up not suiting our family and lifestyle so I stopped use pretty quickly.

I bought this when I came home from hospital after using their electric breast pump. It was half price so decided it would be worth trying. This does the job for the amount of breastmilk we need (I feed my baby both breastmilk and formula) but it is a bit noisy. I put the power unit part under a pillow or cushion when using. Also don’t rely on upping the suction power to get more milk flowing.. this can hurt after a while and the next again day! A medium setting and a bit of massaging is best. Also leaning forward a bit. 🙂
Excellent product! When I need to sleep, I express milk so my partner can feed her while I rest. Makes life a whole lot easier if mainly breastfeeding. Some parts are small and a bit difficult to clean but all in all highly recommended, totally worth it!!

We bought this product after using Manual pump. Having shopping for electric pump and going through different products and reviews available, we finally went by brand name in decent price. Having used for nearly 5 days, we feel it does the job and relieves manual pain.

I did receive a faulty pump as it would not work when disconnected from the power but was amazon sent a new one immediately. The pump has great settings which stimulates my milk flow well. I also purchased a pumping bra so you can be completely hands free!

Wife loved it once she got the hang of what parts well all of it to clean and how to build back up again.
Only problem after a couple of months stopped working, sounded to be working but no suck. But this was an easy fix the solenoid for the pump vacuum release was sticking open instead of opening and closing. Simple strip, and tap brought the unit back to working operation.

I think it’s an essential product to have for breastfeeding mothers, especially if your baby got used to bottle feeding while you still want him to get the full benefits of your milk.
First and foremost, It allows my husband to bond with our son. It gives me some time off to snooze a bit and helps me to collect milk whenever we’re going out.

Easy to use!! Compact and comes apart quick to pop into the steriliser. I charge it overnight on the USB. Not too noisy but not silent! Not loud enough to wake the baby though. Went with Tommee Tippee as it’s a brand I know and glad I did!
My friend is very impressed by this. It’s comfortable and easy to use and quite easy to take apart and clean/sterilise too.
It’s not as quiet as some others we’ve reviewed, but it’s not a major point. The battery life is decent. It’s a small pump, so the battery is also small I guess. It lasts about 50 minutes.
The settings work great and my friend likes it a lot. The price of around 85 is not cheap, but it is a well made product that should hopefully not need to be replaced!

First thing to note is that this is very easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning and sterilising and comes with a 150ml bottle ready for first use.
I like that they have considered a new more modern way of charging your breast pump with the USB charge which means if you forget to charge it you can pop it into the computer for example whilst working from home and this also makes it fully portable.
With regard to the noise of the pump when in use its not too bad and a lot quieter than older models and brands I have had in the past. The silicone cup positions well and I’m a larger breasted woman.
The display shows how long you have been expressing and there are several different express and massage modes to choose from so that you can find the one best suited for yourself.
Great Pump once you get to find the setting that works best for you. Significantly Less noisy than the old tommee tippee Electric pump, but it is NOT SILENT

Very impressed with this breast pump. The suction level is balanced just right and the equipment only makes a moderate amount of noise when operating. It’s easy to disassemble and therefore easy to clean and sterilize and it can be charged via a usb port. Excellent all round.

The pump itself has 7 pieces prior to assembly and once assembled you have an air tube which cannot be washed for safety reasons to be connected from the handheld device and the pump. Once this pump is all set up, you lastly require to add the Tommie Tippee bottle at the bottom of pump.
Once in operation, it has two separate features to which you find it pumping out the breast milk. The first is the “set up pump” as I like to call it, about 8 short vibrations with one long, indicating the stimulus of the breast for milk, the second, the expressed pump is designed to enable to continuously encourage the milk to come out into the bottle.
When my wife used it first, we managed to pump out 3 fl oz (approx 90ml), which is a major surprise.

So easy to use! Everything goes together and comes apart really easily. You can get to all the spaces between the cup and bottle to thoroughly clean. The suction is really good and it starts drawing milk pretty much instantly. The battery lasts long enough to fill two bottles. It’s not too bulky in your bag either.
Tommee Tippee Electric breast pump. What I liked most about this was that you could use a USB to charge it, so its super handy if you mislay or forget your plug you can use pinch someone else plug at the drop of a hat as most of us have a USB plug/charge point somewhere we even have one in the car, so it really can be used anywhere, which I love as if you are in a pinch for time you can do it anywhere. We managed a quick pump in the car while waiting in traffic (obviously she wasn’t driving). The noise level surprised me as the other we have used previously sounded like a train and this one just sounded a lot gentler, it still made noise but its bearable. For the price I think this may be the best you can get, it’s a good brand and the closed system which a lot of people prefer.
My partner tested this and feedback is coming from her. As we were completely new to the parenting, we didn’t try any breast pump brand before and were amazed of how amazing this, it’s so small and portable.. Arrived in a small box with all components in it wrapped in plastic for hygienic purpose but I would still recommend to sterilise them before the first use and of course before every use. Got all the parts out and put it together with no issues in just a few minutes. The actual electric part of this breast pump is powered with a built in rechargeable battery. Unfortunately I’ve didn’t find any information about the capacity of the battery but it gives you a good 30-40 minutes running time. It can be recharged with a standard micros USB cable even from a laptop or with your phone charger or basically from any USB power source. It has so many setting I cant even tried all of them i Usually go with the massage mode i find that this help a lot to stimulate milk flow the express mode is just a but too much for me. The silicon cup is very soft, super comfy and don’t make in uncomfortable to pump. Unfortunately i have found a few cons: The motor of the pump is a bit noisy I cant use it over the night, especially not next to my baby. The other thing is the bottle a bit small, i would be nice to get this pump with two bottle, i’ve tried to buy a spare bottle but I’ve did’t find any. The small bottle it also can be an advantage, it makes this pump portable, can easily fits in the changing bag. Overall it’s a good pump! Especially for the price

Easy to assemble, there’s not many parts to this pump. Easy to use. You can charge from usb connection which means portability, use power bank or laptop. Great if you are out and about. Easy to clean. Can put it on top rack of dishwasher. The pump is not noise free when in use but it is pretty quiet. It is comfortable and has different settings to help express the milk. On full charge it lasts for about 2 x 30 min .
It’s a single pump and a closed type. I think it’s very good.
I would say this pump in-between your standard (plug in the wall socket) breast pump and the Elvie pump (that is fully portable and invisible). It is not discreet (hidden inside our nursing’s bra) like the Elvie pump but it is ideal if you are planning on pumping somewhere where you might not have electricity, like in a car. Also, it is less than half the price of the Elvie pump.
You can charge up the power unit using the USB cable provided. You can charge it via a wall socket, but because it’s USB powered you could charge it off your laptop, tv or even a power bank if you are on the go. The power unit will show you how much battery life is left. It also shows you how long you have been pumping for. The battery lasts for around 2×30 minute pumping sessions.
Although this pump is not very loud it certainly isn’t completely quiet.
There are not many parts to this pump at all, especially if you compare this to other leading pump brands. You can wash the parts on the top rack of your dishwasher.
I personally really liked how many massage and express modes this pump has. When I struggled to get my milk to come in, I used the massage mode (and a picture of my baby on my phone, lol) to get things going, and once let-down was fine I switched it the express mode. I manage to express plenty of milk using this pump, just as much as when I used my previous manual pump.
This system is a closed system. It means that no milk flows back into the tube which is more hygienic. Closed systems are also easier to sell on second-hand as most people look for a closed system when shopping second-hand pump.
The only downside to this is that it’s just a single pump. If you do a lot of expressing you might prefer a double pump.

This is definitely a game changer for me, in the past I’ve used manual breast pumps and there’s nothing worse than trying to express with a new born.
This makes the entire process incredibly easy, with the handy addition of different massage settings, while keeping noise to a minimum.
I also love that it can be charged via a usb.
Tommee tippee is one of my go toncompanies when it comes to baby equipment and accessories, their products are always amazing quality and this breast pump is no different.
This is a very comfortable breast pump. I love that it is portable and easily re chargeable. It’s quite enough but not silent.
This comes with 1 bottle but is compatible with the Tommy tippee ones.
It is easy to clean too which is an added bonus.
It is quite expensive though but I didn’t breast feed for my 4 Yr old so cannot compare. I am happy with this though as it is serving its purpose.

Increased Number of Milk Ejection Reflexes (MERs)
The neurohormonal milk ejection reflex, with the key hormone oxytocin, is crucial for milk removal and maintenance of lactation. Milk flows from the breast during a milk ejection reflex (MER). MERs are described as short discrete uncoordinated increases in intraductal pressure, milk duct diameter and milk flow rate. They occur in both breasts at the same time, and mothers can have varying numbers of MERs during breastfeeding/breast pumping with a range of 1-17. During breast pumping, recent research has shown that mothers have one of four patterns of MER. These patterns are differentiated by both the number and shape of MERs during milk removal. This explains why milk removal varies between mothers, some mothers will remove milk quickly while others will need a bit more time. Interesting, if you follow the same mother over time, she will continue to have the same pattern of MER or milk release all the way out to 9-months of lactation.
When milk ejection reflexes were measured during double and single pumping by Prime et al, it became clear why double pumping yielded more milk volume and drained the breast better – double pumping actually stimulates an extra milk ejection reflex!
Higher Levels of Prolactin
Prolactin is the hormone responsible for milk production and Zinaman et al in the early 1990’s studied the prolactin responses to infant sucking, hand expression and different types of breast pumps. Each method resulted in a different prolactin response. During pumping with an electric breastpump, higher prolactin levels were produced. Only prolactin responses to electric pumps compared favorably with the breastfeeding infant.
Its comfortable to use, very quiet and discreet so easily used at work for example. I believe its worth the current list price because it allows you freedom and flexibility. You can pump and ensure that your baby always has a supply of fresh milk even if you are not there. Dad can then feed the little one whilst you have a long hot bath.
Works very well and is comfortable to use, it is not loud when I’m use and its USB chargeable. It’s an all round great breast pump and the quality is great. There are different suction and massage modes. Works perfectly with Tommee Tippee bottles.
Overall I can highly recommend this pump over its competition, it is a lot better than any others we have used.
I am pleased with this. It works really quietly and is easy to charge using USB. Overall I prefer it to the previous one I had from Philips. This is a slightly more comfortable design and comes in a simple package so you don’t end up paying for all sorts of duplicated accessories you may not need.
We’ve gone through our fair share of pumps over the years from high end brands to cheap models.
This one is particularly good for a number of reasons.
Its well made and I like the colourway.
The unit is small and fits tommee tippee bottles well. The unit is powered through a USB cable (at last) that I wih all manufactures would adopt. I hate proprietary cables. Needless, expensive and a pain when you need a quick replacement.
Anyway the pump is quiet enough as these things go and it has a built in battery which is amazing. Ultra convenient to express on the go or just to have it by the bed without cables everywhere.
There is a stimulation and expression phase and the pump is strong enough.
Once done the kit is easy to clean.
Overall a superb little pump.
Unlike my Madela though, this one is brilliant for on-the-go use, especially with a good supportive express worthy bra like the Madela one, which I love.
Plus it’s half the price than the twin version and VERY lightweight! I can express discreetly whilst stuck in traffic on my commute and whilst I’m takings calls at work.
The standard USB charge is much more convenient for me as it means I can just plug it into my macbook if I need a quick bout of juice (no pun intended) when I’m away from a mains USB plug.
Full charge holds about 60 minutes expressing time in my trial. The 5 gentle massage cycles helps me feel at ease which actually helped facilitate my let down. It’s horrible when I’m stressed at work as I find I’m just not in the right mindset to express effectively, which then effects the milk volume I’m able to express. Theres also a rather impressive 9 expressing settings.
The remote has a timer to show how long I’ve been expressing for, all to useful, when I’m busy taking calls and forget it’s even sucking away.
It can be used whilst plugged into the mains/laptop too, a bonus as I’m the type of person that forgets to top up a charge.
To get you started if this is your first precious little one, it comes with one 150ml newborn feeding bottle. You can express directly into the bottle and then decant (as I do) into an Axifeed bottle to store away in the fridge/freezer.
There’s also spare purple valve in case your first one fails. With a little TLC, mine have never failed. So not a huge concern.
