East to set up. Good that you can choose which area to block out.

Used Toucan before and it provides a really clear day time image.
The night image is okayish. It tends to be a little blurry.

These are small and easy to fit and being battery-operated the rechargeable battery are very convenient.

The picture quality is great and would be good enough to identify someone if you were unfortunate enough to be burgled.

The app is easy to install and connect to the units and overall I’m very satisfied with these since they do a good job.

As expected, professionally packed and protected cameras.

To start with the content what you receive are:
    2 Cameras
    Charging Cable
    Mounting set of screws
    Mounting magnet
Well written instructions for set up and cameras functionality

These are pretty good surveillance cameras for outdoor or indoor use, with easy set up and mounting.
Everything is straight forward process and can be easily done by anyone.

Moving on to functionality of the camera, these have great features which will include:

    PIR Motion Sensor
    Night Vision
    2 Way Audio
    Alarm
    131 Range of View

Every aspect of this camera works great and without any issues. Connectivity is stable, 1080p HD video resolution is acceptable and what is most interesting and like with all other cameras I had experience with night vision is much smoother because of lower light and easier processing of image.
Toucan can be easily compared with Arlo, which is another high-end security surveillance brand and these two are in similar ranking.

Now what all these high-end cameras lack is availability of video recording and downloading. Even if the set is quite high in price be prepared to break your bank for additional subscription if you want unlimited video downloads and longer period of preview. I will only mention something from basic plan that you can grab for free.

With free basic plan you will have 24hrs of record video history instead of 7 days with Pro or 90 days with Elite plan. You will be only able to download 5 videos per month instead of Unlimited with other 2 plans. Last but not least, you can share camera with 1 more user instead of 10 what other 2 subscriptions will allow you. There are few more benefits that are available for other 2 types of subscriptions, but I would leave that for individuals to research as everyone has their own needs and requirements.

Overall, I would say these are good built cameras and will satisfy most of needs on the surveillance part for any household. They are in mid-price range and will require additional subscriptions for full extend of the cameras.

Easy to fit and the magnetic base attaches the camera firmly to the wall. It can be positioned to cover a wide range of angles and area. The motion detector works great and the picture is clear even in the night time. It has a loudspeaker feature where you can use your phone to talk to whoever is in front of camera.

picture quality is average, camera is located somewhere with poor wifi and still manages to get understandable footage.

the app doesn’t seam to like playing a video again once you’ve watched it. you have to close the video and open it again

motion detection sensitivity is something you very much have to adjust and the delay between detection and recording means i get videos of a lot of delivery people walking away.

the features are pretty basic unless you pay a subscription.
for example free account you only get last 24hrs footage saved
and only 5 downloads a MONTH (which i do have a problem with considering i used 2 of this months to do this review)

there are a couple of other differences but i expect these 2 are what will effect people the most

but i have no real need to upgrade currently so although basic, the features available are sufficient for my needs

overall: I have had other wireless cameras but they have requred micro SD cards and have struggled worse with my wifi. so for convenience alone these are slightly better. definitely not 5 stars by any means but they are a fairly solid 4

Toucan duel wireless cctv comes in a double sleeve box and contains 2 smaller boxes each with the camera and docking magnets some screws and warning stickers charger lead etc
The system is very well made and feels good quality the magnet is strong and will easily hold cameras secure although it worry me they could be knocked around easily with a stick or worse down but its not a major problem for most however in my area a very real possibility
The set up is designed to be very easy and simple to follow which it is
    however ,
in my case my Router was playing up and set up was failing mid way I spent all day with Toucan support emailing back and forth
The issue was my router but their team was very quick to respond and was helpfull though did start with the obvious things I had already tried turned out my router was blocking it for some reason after a hard reset
( norm hold reset for 10 seconds )
everything set up as it should nice and easy the cameras updated themselves once on and they have been connected strong since
the motion is OK not the best and does need to be on high when used through glass etc but is better outside i have it on 3rd highest i had 22 odd notifications almost right away but it does take a second to load the live screen which i could imagine an impatient guest at the door may have gone before it loads but its reasonable and would catch an intruder
There are voice settings too like who is it dog barking alarms or direct 999 access but all that needs to be set up by you in the App
The app is decent and responsive easy to use and navigate the viewing angle is weird because it covers 180 degree but you have to scroll accross the screen to see it but in capture mode it is all there the wide angle and allerts are very fast if you have a second phone or tablet and someone signs in i get the alert faster than my banking app
They are waterproof to an extent however i would angle them under the porch or find a little above cover
There have rubber water proof grommets covering internals but i have not tested them for water tightness its bad weather by me so i have them inside at the moment but intend on fitting them up this weekend
Everything is included in the pack and as i said support was great directing me through tecnical things in my phone i never knew existed and emailed after solving to check everything was right full marks for support the picture quality live is reasonable but not the best the sound is not the best but ok within 5 meters maybe a little more and the battery life seems reasonable the way they work is there on 24/7 but on capture motion if selected or your prefered methood so battery life will vary depending on use it can be pulled down and charged via USB so it could be worth rotating them as a front pair or just remember to charge when needed there are warning on screen if WiFi signal is poor or bat low etc so you do get time to act over all I would say they are a good modern cctv unit that pairs to your device quickly znd easily in most cases and they do the job well

Easy to set up and connect well built and discrete

Where I live unfortunately there has been more crime especially with less law enforcement. We have a video doorbell that helps protect the family car parked at the front of the house but due to the layout of our property we felt we needed added protection for my car that sits out front too. However although these cameras are wireless and looked to be easy to install. They sit in little mounts that you attach to the wall, but due to the strong magnets they sure aren’t going to fall out if strong gusts blow. However that doesn’t stop sticky fingers plucking it off and taking it with them.

I liked how easy they were to set up as well. Although this is a considered purchase they are great, more so if you put them in really high places or indoors again in high locations. The basics you get without paying is great but like all things if you want more you have to pay. I think in all honesty although they’re good quality in order to protect the outside of the house will need harder to get down cameras.

I found these had very good image quality in both daytime and nighttime, they are so easy as there are no wires whatsoever so simple to instal, download the app and connect to my broadband router, I can see and talk and hear people from anywhere via my phone, build quality seems fine and they’ve handled the bad weather just fine too, battery life so far has been great, all in all, 5 stars as they are good value and so easy to instal.

The Toucan wireless cameras were supplied as a pair in a set of neat boxes. Each camera comes with a magnetic mount, charge cable, screws, stick up pad, and various ‘literature’. The cameras and accessories and all good quality and the whole package is compact and nicely designed.

Set up is not difficult but does require the downloading of the Toucan Smart Home app. I was unable to download this app on my older iPad or any of the Android based tablets I had to hand. It did work with my Honor phone so I used that. For all the failed attempts, the messages, simple said words to the effect that this version is not compatible with this device. Frankly, this is a bit annoying. I want to be able to use the app and see the images on a bigger screen than my phone. But fairs fair. Once I had hit on the right device the install was quick and trouble free. You are required to register and create an account, you need to put the camera in set up mode, you need to set up connection to your Wi-Fi network and in my case download a firmware upgrade. All of this was free though so it did not cost me anything.

In use, the image is good, even in the relatively dim light of our lounge, with curtains closed against the heat. In good light, e.g. in the conservatory, the image is vibrant, sharp and clear. There is no graininess and it even works through the glass of our kitchen window. The field of view is not as wide as the other cameras I have but it works well enough provided any limitations are accounted for during positioning.

Now it seems to me there are a few so called elephants in the room with this camera. If for example if you use the magnetic mount outside then it would be the simplest matter for any passer by or would be thief to reach up, take pull it down and pop it in their pocket. Then there is the price. Okay it is an outdoor camera and other similar waterproofed cameras are similarly priced. However, I have an indoor camera that guards our driveway. It cost 25. It allows remote swivel and tilt via the app and covers the area from the front of the house to the top of the drive. Sure the night vision is flaky through the glass but it takes an on board memory card and it is easy to view the recordings via the app. So in that context these cameras perhaps look a bit pricey.

Do not get me wrong. I like these cameras and there are screw type mounts available separately that fit the thread on the camera. (Although, the camera could still be unscrewed but it would take longer). I like the quality and compactness. The image quality is very good. The app isn’t bad either but I ideally would need it to work on my Huawei M5 tablet. Otherwise there is more potential expense to buy a newer iPad or Android tablet from a different manufacturer, in the hope that it would be compatible with that device.

I am going to use these cameras indoors. One will be on the bird feeder and the other will be in the hall. There are some ‘nice’ features. For example, the motion detection can trigger a sound or message to be played. The barking dog is quite surprising to any family members passing through the hall but I was quickly made to turn it off! Could be useful if we were away though and it is certainly loud and attention grabbing.

I feel I have only scratched the surface with this review. These cameras cater for a wide range of functions, there is a lot to like about them and the quality is definitely good enough to justify the price. There are pros and cons about the cloud storage but unlike my cheaper cameras – all is not lost if the camera or the card is removed. You still would have filmed the culprit. So depending on what you intend to use them for these may be just right for you and would give good service. There are some slightly annoying foibles but these are not really major issues. From an image quality point of view I would give them 5 stars but there’s the price and the compatibility issues with the app. So it is just a solid 4 stars.

Good build quality and works with Alexa and Google but some foibles and relatively expensive

This is a standard IP camera with a simple design, finished in white, measuring 8 x 8 x 4cm, full HD (1920 x 1080p), IP56 weather resistant, and is powered by a 4400 mAh rechargeable battery, with quoted 1 to 3 months life on each full charge.

Fixing the camera to a wall/ceiling is by screwing onto the surface a small concave baseplate and the camera then sticks onto this plate via its magnetised base. The magnet is powerful so outdoor use in windy conditions shouldn’t be a problem, remember though to mount it high enough to prevent it from being pulled off of the magnet and stolen.

Once fixed it can be swivelled on this base to achieve the desired angle. It’s not motorised but must me manually moved so be sure to position it correctly.

The app is ‘Toucan Smart Home’ and is downloadable for free. Connecting to the camera is very easy – simply set up an account and connect to your home WiFi then go to the ‘add camera’ section on the App menu. Press the ‘start’ button on the camera and it will pair up to the app. I found it quick and reliable to connect on the first time of trying — some cameras are notorious for proving difficult or impossible to connect.

Controls on the app are confined to just the basic essentials, and I like this simplicity. Briefly they are:

Night vision: Auto/always on/always off. This controls the night vision IR lights

Motion sensitivity: max/high/medium/low. This controls the amount of movement required to trigger the motion alert

Motion recording when activated (starts recording when camera detects movement)

Motion recording disable (go to menu ‘snooze schedule’ and set to permanently snooze)

LED light: ON/OFF. This turns the red LED on the front of the camera on or off for discrete use

For a few more controls the app can be upgraded (at a cost) to the PRO version but the basic ones are good for most situations I would say.
