Electric ShowersElectric Showers require cold water only which is heated instantly to provide a hot shower. – An electric shower only heats the water you use once the shower is switched on. Gravity fed hot water system
This system has a cold water tank in the loft or in the top of the airing cupboard and a hot water cylinder below it. The water in the cylinder is heated by a boiler or an electric immersion heater and fed to taps via a pipe from the top of the cylinder. As the hot water in the cylinder is used up, it is replaced with cold water from the tank above, which in turn is refilled from the mains water supply via a float operated valve. System water pressure is usually low. To give a higher pressure and flow rate from a mixer shower a booster pump can be installed.
Gravity fed hot water system with Booster Pump
This system has a cold water tank in the loft or in the top of the airing cupboard and a hot water cylinder below it. The water in the cylinder is heated by a boiler or an electric immersion heater and fed to taps via a pipe from the top of the cylinder. As the hot water in the cylinder is used up, it is replaced with cold water from the tank above, which in turn is refilled from the mains water supply via a float operated valve. System water pressure is increased due to the addition of a Booster Pump.
Unvented System
An unvented system has a hot water cylinder that is connected directly to the mains cold water supply and there is no need for a cold water tank in the home. The water is heated by a boiler or an electric immersion heater. As everything is under the pressure of mains water, the flow rates from taps and showers are much better and a pump is not needed to get a powerful shower. An unvented cylinder can be installed virtually anywhere e.g. in an airing cupboard or garage.
Combination Boiler
A combi – boiler can be located anywhere within the home. More often wall mounted but some are floor mounted. It heats water ‘on demand’ when a hot tap or mixer shower is turned on. Connected directly to the mains cold water supply at high pressure there is no need for a hot water cylinder, cold water tank or shower pump in the home.

It was a direct replacement for one that had been in situ for over 8 years
Bought to replace an older shower of the same model which had lasted over 10 years and only broke because I bought one of those “high pressure” shower heads with the balls in and those balls (or debris from them) find their way into the inner workings of your shower and kill it.
Easy to fit because all of the fittings etc were in exactly the same place as the previous shower.
The fittings that come with this are a bit plasticky and cheap looking so I left the previous ones in place.

This unit was the ideal replacement for our old Triton Bewitch model that I fitted over 13+ years ago, and never had a problem through that time, and basically it was time to renew due to the water heater failure, and this was simply a direct remove/replace (No drilling) with all mountings, water connection and electrics that took less than 30mins to fit and ready to use.
Great quality and many thanks to Triton for keeping the same design template for easy replacement. Recommended purchase!!
Lovely shower, simple to install (get a plumber to do it for you!). Only issue is that the hot/cold/warm buttons are as you would expect, so don’t burn of freeze by mistake.
I live in Ireland and it was clearly stated that the shower isn’t for sale outside the UK but in discussion with a Triton Engineer he wouldn’t recommend for sale in Scotland or Wales. I fitted a 2bar pump and the input water pressure well above the recommend flow rate as was the output flow rate. The shower only started up with the shower head hanging well below the shower body. I found the issue at a slightly weeping joint letting in air. Once fixed shower works perfectly in Ireland
Ok bottom line the shower unit is a 5 star unit. I fitted the shower no issues but do have all the tools and know what I am doing with the plumbing and electrical work needed (if you don’t then get someone in to do it). However, the wall bracket that holds the shower head is awful (plastic poor fitting rubbish)- they might be better selling it without the bracket or charging a bit more and providing a better bracket/wall rail for the shower head and soap dish to sit.

Replacement for triton ivory 3. Water and cable inlets are in exactly the same place. Top fixing to secure to the wall in the same place but needed to drill one hole for middle fixing to wall. Never fitted shower myself before but was fairly easy to do. Shower itself seems pretty good and looks nice but as I have only just done this I can’t comment on how good it is over long period
This shower fulfills everything I need in a shower and I have used them for years. I already have a spare in my loft so in a few years time I have a replacement with the sane footprint.

This was purchased to replace the same make that had developed a small leak after many years use. Good product based on past experience. Benefit of this was the price. At least 10 less than other suppliers (Argos for example). It does not come in a fancy printed box – it is in plain packaging which must also be good for the environment.
Replaced a previously installed Triton Shower and was a little disappointed to find that the screw holes and connectors, despite looking in the same position, were a little different. Which made it difficult to fit as I had to move it completely and fill the existing holes.
Other than that the shower works well.
*** Bear in mind that after hitting the stop button it takes a few seconds to actually stop the flow of water as it has a phased shut down system ***
I purchased this for my brother to replace his 5 uear old broken one, it was the same model and it was really easy to do, it only took me 15 minutes and it was just turning off the water mains and switching off the electric, loosening the nut and screws then putting in the new one. It was that simple. My brother really likes this model and he says it works really well.

Last one stopped working after 2 years of hard labour . Needed to replace with the same make and model for easy fitting.this was done .thanx .next day delivery ,was back up and running in24 hours .
This unit replaces my 9.5KW Martinique Shower. My 9.5KW unit has served me well for about 15 years. I replaced it with another 9.5KW which was not as good as my previous unit. Less heating and therefore slower water stream. I was a little disappointed so replaced it with the 10.5kw model and WOW what a difference! The water is now piping hot and with a full powerful water flow. I am absolutely delighted – I wish I had changed to this model years ago. Easy to fit at a very low price (A good deal on Black Friday)!
Great shower, quite easy to fit and a direct replacement for my old Triton Bewitch unit, but be aware you do need a 15mm olive (not supplied).
A brilliant 10.5kW Shower
Rang Triton to get Spare Parts as my old one was acting up… it was going to be expensive to get the parts so I went ahead I got a completelynew unit. Couldn’t believethey were still making them!
Installation wise, it was really handy… just a direct swap out with the old one. Had to get myself a new 15mm compression fitting as the old olive was stuck to the old shower inlet.
Fingers crossed this one will last as long 🙂

Purchased this to replace an old shower, works great with plenty of power.
I had an older version of this shower for many years and when it eventually failed I was advised to replace rather than than repair. Although a different model name it was a direct replacement, all the connections matched so no change in in plumbing or electrical connections.
Great service arrived the very next day. A great saving compared to going straight to Triton
Hopefully this one will last twenty five years like the old one. I didn’t use the rail and hose as my old one is a lot nicer as its made of brass and chrome
Great shower very easy to fit & easy to use does the job fantastic great value for money.
Much better output than the Gainsborough it replaced, the extra 2 KW really make a difference, aspecialy at this time of the year when the cold water feed coming up from underground is so cold.
I fitted it myself, which was very easy, water inlet was in the same place as the Gainsborough Stanza.

This is an up grade for me from using Triton 8.5. Easy to operate, push of buttons mainly, l just fixed it a couple of days ago, do this wouldn’t be a true reflection, 3 months after I think proper usage and might have gelled properly. Like the colour combo as we.

Great shower at great saving in price, Unfortunately discovered the power rating was too high for the house wiring, so had to return it

I purchased this to replace a Triton Opal where the stop button had snapped. This is a direct fit replacement for the Opal, using the same water and power entry points. In fact, nearly every part looks identical.
The Martinique’s shower holder and head are cheap white plastic, so I opted to reuse my Opal’s chrome holder and head.
One thing to note is that the water inlet on the Opal is threaded where as the Martinique’s isn’t, so if you are replacing an Opal you’ll need to adapt your pipe to suit, or swap over the water inlet solenoid (which is easy as it’s the same).
Really happy with this. It’s a great shower at a nice price. Good flow and temperature control, easy to use and a modern/stylish look. The multi pattern head is great, going from a power stream to a wide ‘rain’ type effect with ease.
Direct replacement for out Opal II shower unit. Works better than the Opal, but maybe because there’s less scale build upin the new uni

Good pressure using the five setting shower head along with a pump, good constant hot water temperature.
I would recommend this product.
Remember you will need to a 16mm olive if you are going to replace your old shower and do not forget to call Triton for advice on replacing your old shower for a new Triton . They will tell you which one to choose saving you from making alterations to the water and electric supply to the unit.

Replaced my faulty Opal shower with no physical alterations required. Brilliant.
If you have a similar shower already in place and you are just changing it for a newer model, its as easy as changing a plug.
This was a real easy shower to fit , it went straight into the position of my old triton, which was a Triton Bezique. on the reviews I read before I bought a couple of people were saying that the chrome finish was easy marked, I’ve had no such problems just wipe it down after you have had your shower. SIMPLES as Oleg would say..

Bought as a direct replacement for an old Triton Opal. Fittings and back-plate were identical. Got a plumber mate to fit it and the job took no more than 20 minutes. Probably could have done it myself in about 30 minutes if I was more confident about plumbing. Shower works perfectly – plenty of piping hot water at a pretty decent rate. It’s never going to be as powerful as a pump-driven power shower but for an electric shower it’s more than adequate. The old one lasted around 12 years before it started to play up – admittedly not used as much in the early years as in it’s latter days. If this one lasts half as long we’ll be more than happy.
