Electric ShowersElectric Showers require cold water only which is heated instantly to provide a hot shower. – An electric shower only heats the water you use once the shower is switched on. It does not use the hot water heated or stored by the household water system – An electric shower is always ready to use 24 hours a day seven days a week -The higher the kilowatt power rating (kW) the better performance and greater the flow of heated water | Mixer ShowersMixer showers require hot and cold water which is ‘mixed’ together to provide a hot shower. – Mixer showers use the hot water heated by the household water system – Generally produce higher flow rates compared to electric showers – Mixer showers must be matched to your household water system. High pressure systems such as combi boilers, are ideal for mixer showers -Add a pump on a low pressure systems to to boost water flow rates | Power ShowersPower showers require hot and cold water which is ‘mixed’ together and the built in pump increases water flow, to provide a hot shower. -Power showers are made for use on low pressure systems only. An internal pump increases the flow of water to provide a powerful shower – Power showers are not to be confused with electric showers as they do not heat water -Generally produce higher flow rates than electric showers and many mixer showers |
Gravity fed hot water system
This system has a cold water tank in the loft or in the top of the airing cupboard and a hot water cylinder below it. The water in the cylinder is heated by a boiler or an electric immersion heater and fed to taps via a pipe from the top of the cylinder. As the hot water in the cylinder is used up, it is replaced with cold water from the tank above, which in turn is refilled from the mains water supply via a float operated valve. System water pressure is usually low. To give a higher pressure and flow rate from a mixer shower a booster pump can be installed.
Gravity fed hot water system with Booster Pump
This system has a cold water tank in the loft or in the top of the airing cupboard and a hot water cylinder below it. The water in the cylinder is heated by a boiler or an electric immersion heater and fed to taps via a pipe from the top of the cylinder. As the hot water in the cylinder is used up, it is replaced with cold water from the tank above, which in turn is refilled from the mains water supply via a float operated valve. System water pressure is increased due to the addition of a Booster Pump.
Unvented System
An unvented system has a hot water cylinder that is connected directly to the mains cold water supply and there is no need for a cold water tank in the home. The water is heated by a boiler or an electric immersion heater. As everything is under the pressure of mains water, the flow rates from taps and showers are much better and a pump is not needed to get a powerful shower. An unvented cylinder can be installed virtually anywhere e.g. in an airing cupboard or garage.
Combination Boiler
A combi – boiler can be located anywhere within the home. More often wall mounted but some are floor mounted. It heats water ‘on demand’ when a hot tap or mixer shower is turned on. Connected directly to the mains cold water supply at high pressure there is no need for a hot water cylinder, cold water tank or shower pump in the home.

Overall very good. However the blurb about ‘multi fit’ was a little optimistic as one needed some copper pipe to connect old fitting to fitting inside the Triton. Moreover , only the ‘high power’ setting has any oomph, normal setting rather weak. But brilliant price for a 9.5 kw shower that performs very well on high setting. I also love the different shower patterns one can use.
Hi,myTriton 802 started tripping my circuit breaker last Sunday.
I ordered the unit Sunday pm it arrived Monday am.
I removed the old unit, fitted the new unit, the water entry was 90 degrees different.
I altered that ok, connected up electrically, switched the water on no leeks,
switched on the electricity, carried out the set up procedure all ok,
fitted the cover all ok very good indeed, now a very happy household.
Many thanks to Amazo
Easy to install and fit, instructions clear. Works well, took just over an hour to replace our broken Triton shower (circa the steam age). You may need to purchase a replacement olive for the compression fitting if you are swapping your shower out as the old one had distorted and would not slip over the inlet supply pipe of the new shower. Other than that, all I needed to do was to drill new locating holes.
I ordered this Triton Seville 8.5kW Electric Shower as our old shower had packed up, and did look dated so wanted a new shower to brighten up the Bathroom and one that worked!
My husband had no problems in fitting the shower.
It does have a short hose but it is fine for us and it has a basic shower rail but then you get what you pay for.
Overall it works and is excellent for the price paid so I would certainly recommend.
Nice shower unit, easy to fit (for myself)
I believe its not the latest model.(T808?? Or something for an extra few quid?) If you don’t like cutting pipes fitting elbows etc, then get a tech who does! Read all instructions 10 times over and take your time, all should be well.IF UNSURE GET IT CHECKED.
Only had this a couple of days, but really pleased, the old shower fell victim to limescale after 10 years, and this one was fitted by my boyfriend, who has basic electrical and plumbing knowledge, in a couple of hours. It works well, got the 9.5kW – good pressure, easy to use and easy to install. If you just want a shower that does the job without any singing or dancing, I highly recommend this one.
Good value for money. Not used it for long yet Not over keen on the controls. Can’t just set it and leave it for every shower as it depends what setting you want. Perhaps will be different when I’ve used it more. Overall good budget showe
The shower arrived well packaged and had an instruction booklet inside. The shower head hose was just slightly shorter that I was used too which meant that the shower head did not balance properly when laid down in the bath. I used it this way if I just wanted to wash my hair or feet without having to have a full shower. Problem was sorted by just purchasing a longer shower hose. Easy to use with variable temp controls as standard. This was purchased to replace my old Mira shower and to be honest, could find no difference in the quality. Excellent buy.
I am very happy with this power shower. Unfortunately I could not fit it myself because I did not have the tools! Apart from that I would have had no problems fitting it. At 8.5 kilowatts its perfect for me and the shower head gives a good range of flow.
Greetings, here is an update on this shower dated 17/06/16. Oh yes I have made a very good buy here. I am totally happy with the performance and the water temperature control is perfect. So there you are, I can’t fault this shower!
This was replacement for another Triton shower (which still worked but was very noisy!). It was pretty easy to replace, because once the cover was off it was apparently identical inside to the previous one, despite having an entirely different name! The shower head is a lot nicer than the previous one – smarter in appearance, with a bigger shower head, with spray options.
This shower unit is far superior than my old 7.5kW shower. On cold setting it is excellent, however on the hot setting which is where you would usually want it set for a reasonable shower it is at setting 8 out of 10 and the flow is drastically reduced. It’s still perfectly usable and a bargain of a shower. I just wish that supply to my shower was slightly bigger so that I could use a 9kW and have improved flow.
On the plus side, it’s saving me money which can’t be bad! 🙂
bought to replace an ageing triton shower easy to fit with plumbing and electrical options at a fraction under 42 a bargain too. My only criticism is the hose suplied was a bit short for my insallation so i had to order a longer one. happy with the performance good waterflow through with nice control of the temp. The variable head is a nice touch too giving a choice of 5 spray patterns.
Good solid, basic shower at a great price . No whistles and bells here – less to go wrong . Decent spray head – hose a bit on the short side .
Not quite as simple to fit if not replacing a Triton shower – still do able – observe the need for 10mm cable with mcb and rcd protection and you have yourself a pretty good shower which can produce plenty of hot water – you could do a lot worse for much more money.
This was bought to replace our old electric shower that had failed – most likely due to the hard water. For the cost, it was simply not worth trying to sort out the old unit. It was very straight forward to install (the first I have ever done). My old shower had a rating label that said 9.5/10.5kw so I ordered the 9.5kw model. When it arrived it was actually internally labelled as 8.5/9.5kw. I am guessing this is the low and high settings.
It was a very straight forward installation – the only note that I shall make is the inlet water connection. I made up a connection using 15mm brass unions bought at the last moment from Wickes. The final connection to the shower inlet required a 15mm right angle coupling with compression olives. For our installation the unit needs to be run on the high setting (at 9 o’clock on the selector switch) whilst the temperature indicator is at about 2 o’clock – the water flow is adequate and the water temperature is sufficiently hot enough to shower comfortably. For anyone that is interested there is a riser bar, shower head and shower hose included within the parcel but it is not in the same box as the actual shower unit, so be careful you dont chuck it away by accident.
Looks nice in the new shower encloser that was installed at the same time and it works well. This replaced a shower that was run off the combi boiler, so the flow rate is much less (especially this time of year!). However, the shower performs well and gives a fair flow of water. Since it does have a significantly reduced flow rate relative to the previous shower it also saves water, plus it warms up much faster than the previous shower. Can’t fault it for the price.
It works fine, but depends completely for a smooth and uninterrupted operation on the Water Pressure being up to specs — but this can be got around by turning on a tap which is on the same incoming pipe, and by doing so it cause the pressure to rise and automatically switch on the electric-elements to heat up the water; you can use the tap in the bath or the tap at the face basin — Problem Solved!!!!
About as efficient as our old shower but we have to work off mains pressure due to electrical wiring! Nice substantial shower head that doesn’t flip over and soak the bathroom when put down – makes so much difference! And nice and white with clean lines, looks nice.
Product arrived swiftly and was well packed. Installation was to replace previous shower unit which presented a certain amount of difficulty in as much as the supply pipe which had to be connected to the unit and was buried in the wall was at 90 degrees to where it needed to connect. However having overcome this particular problem, the shower was quickly put into use and the results were superb. We had used the last shower for 15 years but the replacement was much superior , maintaining a good and constant temperature.
bought his after reading reviews, I can’t give any technical feedback other than it went in with ease according to my friend who fitted it for me and was a perfect match for the existing Triton 8.5 shower. why oh why did I struggle for so long with a faulty shower I used to dread getting in my shower WHICH WAS EITHER TO HOT OR WENT COLD , this shower is a dream it is easy to control and the heat stays at a even temperature through out and I can now have long leisurely showers, the shower head is great and am not bothered there is only one setting. I thought I had a low water pressure problem but is seems not THE FLOW IS NOW AMAZING. I would defo recommend this shower if your on a budget like me and want good quality at a competivie price…well done to AMAZON AGAIN FOR A GREAT PRODUCT.
This 7.5 kw shower is great value for money it produces good heat at a fair pressure, surprising for a 7.5 kw shower and far superior to my last 7 kw shower which was an old gainsborough princess.
Although it hasn’t got an on/off button a simple turn of the top dial will switch it on and off leaving the temperature setting untouched. the shower head has multiple settings, unusual for a shower as cheap as this.
Overall this a great shower for the price. If, like me you are restricted to a low kw rating this is the one to buy.
My replacement shower is one that I have already and its hard wearing easy to use and at the price I paid for this one I just couldn’t pass it by so when my Triton shower does break down I have another in the wings waiting to take over. And it was half the price that I originally paid for the same one. I recommend triton showers for their appearance and long life.
The Triton Seville 8.5kW Electric Shower was a like for like replacement for an older model.
It fitted in place with just a new screw hole drilled into the wall, to hold the unit.
The other screw hole lined up, so was little work to do.
Very pleased with this model. And if needed to replace again, would do so with this one or a newer like for like.
Our Mira Sport shower died and we where looking to get the same again, but having already had 3 in the last 16yrs and money being tight thought we would look at other cheaper makes. After looking at the Triton Seville 9.5kw and reading all the positive reviews decided to give it a go. Shower arrived 2nd day of placing the order, well packed. With some minor pipe work alteration, connecting electrics and commissioning it took about an hour to fit the Triton. If your competent at DIY it’s a doddle. Turned shower on and WOW !!! Excellent pressure and never had the temperature setting set so low for a wonderful comfortable shower. This basic no bells and whistles shower is far superior than any of the fancy expensive Mira showers we’ve had, and at a 3rd of price complete with a 2yr guarantee you can’t go wrong and won’t be disappointed. And as usual great service from Amazon with fast delivery and beating the price of any other retailers.
Bought as a replacement for a 25+ year old Triton T80. Not as solidly built as the T80, but adequate – there are not too many 7 or 7.5 kW showers around these days, and this is all the cable which feeds it will take. This is not the latest of Triton showers by any means, and one or two of the parts are already not available as spares (most of the ones likely to fail are) but there is still a 2 year warranty, and at this price you are unlikely to be disappointed. The adjustable shower head is good and comes apart easily for cleaning. If someone else is waiting to use the shower after you, run it on ‘cold’ for a few seconds before you turn it off, as otherwise the ‘heat soak’ will trip the thermal switch, and it takes a while to reset.
I picked this up for 50 and its fantastic for the price, really hot and decent pressure this replaced a 2 year old MIRA and needed something temporary until we had our Central Heating plumbed in.
The only small issue we had is if you you turned it off after a shower then someone immediately turned it back on again it would take about 20 seconds to get hot (this may be a safety feature?) but when turning it on the first time or if its been a few minutes since it was turned off you get nice hot water within a few seconds
Fitted this shower into a bathroom where the cold water supply meant we could not have a power shower. It works perfectly well and ‘power shower fiend’ daughter is happy so must be good! Did a lot of research before buying, Triton is a reliable make and this shower is at least as good if not better than some of the similar more expensive ones. We think it is probably ‘last years design’ hence the price, the same model in Wickes is 20+ more expensive, just a slightly different shape!
Bought this for the utility room to groom my dogs. Perfect! If it were to be used in the bathroom as a main shower, I am pretty certain it would be ideal for the job also, but for what I need it for, I can’t ask for better. It retains its’ temperature and pressure even with the washing machine using the same water supply, and if the toilet flushes etc… so I have no worries about getting sudden change in temperature, the water remains constant in pressure and in temperature.
I’m confused whyy they have moved the screw holes so even replacing an earlier model triton shower one hole is correct another has to be drilled. Yes I’m being picky as don’t like drilling wall tiles, but it works so stop moaning, anyway that’s why i’m giving it four stars not five
I bought this to replace an old Triton shower that had seen better days and I was delighted when the new one fitted to the wall and I had no extra plumbing or electrics to carry out. The shower works well and gives a good flow of water in the range of 7 or 8 on the temperature setting control. Good value for money. I like the facility to run cold water though it and I use this after having run it hot. I hope it will cut down on lime scale formation in the “kettle”. I live in a very hard water area and lime is the killer of electric showers.
Triton 9.5kw version. paid less for this item as an amazon seconds. Item arrived well within time and was packaged awfully on the outside, but inside it was packed well. The item was obviously previously opened and re packed. Everything was there except two screws and two rawl plugs for the main shower wall mounting. Once fitted the item i have just tested and it seems to work ok. first time i have purchased an amazon second, and i must say, so far i am impressed. i would recommend the item as it seems very efficient at doing what it was intended for. easy to fit, but i must say that it is the first time i have used compression joints on a plastic pipe, but it does not leak . Be warned the shower hose is ridiculously short. My favorite function on this item is the cold water optio
what a good bit of kit . all the reviews are correct, pleased I read them . took a bit longer to fit than 20min cos I had a really old shower before this one . make sure you have some elbow fitting handy cos u need to camp them on to the plastic inlet of the shower.. But for 60 ish quid wow it is really good . It gets used everyday , water is hot in seconds and its easy to use .
This shower is typical Triton – no nonsense quality and reliability. It is well designed for versatile installation and this being the fourth Triton in constant use in our guest house I can thoroughly recommend it. Don’t be put off by the lower price. I can see no difference between this and dearer models and it comes with a two year warranty.
I bought the 10.5Kw version @ approx 62 and iI installed it about a week ago.
Installation was pretty smooth, my only gripe being that I didn’t know what position the top dial was in (and don’t know how you can figure it out in advance of switching it on because it never ‘stops’ rotating – i.e. keeps rotating in both directions). This is important to know because when you first switch it on it must be at the ‘cold’ position for commissioning.
Its winter and pretty cold but I still haven’t felt the need to use it on max temperature yet, seems to warm up quite nicely between the 6-7 mark
To be frank @ 62 you cant go wrong. I checked the price for the parts and just the heating element costs approx 90! ( underneath the cover the main components are the same as the ones in the most expensive triton showers- the expensive ones just look nicer and have more lights)
If they’re still selling it at 60 when you read this review then bite their hands off for it… even if its just to strip it and sell the parts on ebay!
I bought two, both of them were replacing Mira showers so they weren’t straight replacements, I needed to move the water supply slightly. However there is plenty of room for this at the bottom of the unit. Instructions are clear and comprehensive and the whole unit is very good quality. Much better than the two old showers they replaced.
Used this as a direct replacement for an older Triton Shower. It’s not the best but it works reasonably well and is a big improvement over its’ predecessor. It needed a minor pipe modification to fit it. It was a good price and came quickly. What more can I say??
It worked very well until it suddenly stopped heating up or giving an effective spay about 18 months after purchase. I initially contacted Amazon, who after some deliberation said they would help, but only if I contacted the manufacturer first.
I forgot.! Of course! It has a 2 year warranty.! Triton sent out an engineer 3 days later who confirmed that the heating element had failed, replaced it and it works fine again.
Very good all round. Would I recommend? Yes .
Delivered as promised. Fitted into a rented flat with no probs.. The price was right but it is difficult to get ecstatic about an electric shower! The main issue for me is reliability and longevity. Buying and refurbishing flats that have Redring showers installed in 1985 and are still working but need to replace with new for aesthetic purposes. The replacements only last a fraction of this time – 3/4 years max..
This is a replacement for a 20yr old Triton and it does the job.The head is much larger than my old one which means the water does not come out as strongly bit by messing with the controls it became adequate. This appears to be a good, basic shower but if you want anything approaching a power shower go elsewhere.
A few minor problems with making sure the cogs inside were the right way round. also make sure the plastic plugs are put in the cold and hot water inlets your not using as it doesnt state this. it cost us 80.00 for an engineer to tell us this because it wasnt faulty just not put together the right way. other than that a great shower but a bit on the noisy side.
INSTALLATION
Wow, easy to fit and I mean easy, everything comes into the shower on the RH Bottom Corner and there is enough room for a large compression elbow and a chunky 10mm Twin & Earth Cable.
Fixing screw one on the top and one half way down made it simple, the bottom half of the shower detaches to allow you to make off the Water and Electrical Connection, another BIG Plus.
Strange but the outside cover had 4 small screws, one to each corner to hold the front cover on, I thought that could have been taken to 2 on the top and a clip in piece used for the bottom, save having to get down on your hands and knees to put screws into the bottom of the lid.
NEGATIVES
Like all things on this planet it would have been good had the electrical connection been above the water inlet, instead on the Other Side half way up, I was lucky that there was enough slack in my cable, others may not be so lucky!
HOT WATER
Run on Med setting in November, not great, warm at best
Run on High setting in November, HOT and Great Flow, I love the handset, which really reduces the flow rate to produce a rip rubbing sensation like a shot blast.
SUMMARY
5 Stars from a Company that could have invented the Electric Shower, they have been in the Industry that long.
Love that there are no PCB’s (printed circuit boards) such a problem and the COST of replacing a real drain on your pocket
This is like buying a straight 4 cylinder engine with no engine management system, love it.
Parts readily available and if required a Service Engineer can be supplied without breaking the Bank
Just ordered 3 more for our other Apartment rentals at http://holidaylettings.co.uk/rentals/cardiff/307424

Bought to replace the triton Amber 2. Doesn’t fit exactly to the old “footprint” but went up easily and was straightforward to install. It is working well and gives a great basic shower with good flow and good choice of heat. The controls are simple to use. The hose supplied is quite short so we are using the old longer one which has fitted easily with the new shower head. Soap dish is sturdy and useful. The mounting pole is long enough and the rise and fall adjustment works well. We’re very happy with this replacement which is good value for money.
Good product purchased to replace our “very old” Amber 1. Does the job and was excellent value, would have preferred upgrading to 8.5Kw but would have had to rewire the shower cabling to cope with the extra power, as it was the revised cable entry (water was as the old unit) meant I had to rewire from the pull-cord switch to the unit which required me to lift the boarding in the attic ~ but at least the shower was working for me to shower afterwards.
Pleased with the performance, but visit Triton web-site and check the installation guide to see what work may be required.
Good simple effective shower and functionally the same as the old one currently installed. I bought this to replace an old Triton T70v 7kw shower and I did not want to replace any plumbing or change any cables or fuses. Plumbing was an exact fit (but make sure you have a 15mm compression fitting and olive available to hand) and the the existing 6mm mains cable just needed trimming. It also comes with a nice adjustable shower head and shower rail. In theory, you can fit a 8.5kw shower to the existing 6mm cable by upgrading the fuse to 40A from 32A but it depends on how the cable has been fitted and I was not prepared to take the risk.
This was bought as a replacment for our old Triton T80si shower which finally broke after many years. We did have a look to see if it would have been possible to repair, but after looking online at the cost of replacement parts, it didn’t seem worth paying 50 for parts that might not have been correct.
Like other reviewers, because of the cabling we had to have a 7.5kW shower and not many places seem to sell them now. Even buying from Triton direct they had very little choice in 7.5kW and they were more expensive than the Seville. The free Amazon Prime trial meant we got free next day delivery too.
It took my mum and I about 2 and a half hours to fit, and the most diffcult part was probably taking off the old shower. It turned out we were trying to unscrew the nut on the water inlet pipe the wrong way!
Luckily we could use the old screw holes from the previous shower unit, so there was no need to drill any extra holes. We kept the old riser rail so we didn’t have to drill any holes for that either. The box included rawl plugs and screws for the riser rail but not for the shower unit, but as we didn’t need to drill any extra holes for the shower unit this was ok, we just reused the old screws. If you’re drilling new holes you’ll need rawl plugs and possibly screws.
You will also need a new nut and olive for the water inlet pipe, which we got from our local plumbers merchant.
After securing the new unit to the wall and turning on the water to test for leaks, we turned the power back on. The fitting instructions said to make sure the controls were aligned, which we discovered meant the on/off control needed to be in the ‘stop’ position on both the front cover and on the unit. When we turned the power back on, the shower came on straight away as the unit control was ‘on’, we had to turn it off and change the button on the unit.
The fitting videos on the Triton website (http://www.tritonshowers.co.uk/triton-for-the-homeowner/triton-products/product-videos.aspx) came in useful for making sure we were doing everything in the correct order. The videos aren’t specifically about the Seville but the basic steps are the same.
The shower head supplied with the Seville is definitely an improvement on our old one, it’s lighter and has five different flow settings. The shower itself is good, and very similar to the old Triton shower it replaced.
If anyone is unsure about fitting it themselves, I’d say give it a go, it was easier and quicker than we thought it would be. I’ve never fitted a shower before and the only plumbing my mum has done is to fix a leaky toilet so between us we don’t have much experience and we managed it.

It does what it says on the label.
Easy enough to fit.
The unit cover screws are at the bottom that was a great improvement on our last one which had them on the top !!
If replacing an existing shower NOTE when fitting into exisiting position that as you FACE the shower unit the electric cable entres the unit through the back on the far LEFT. There is a molded box section wall in the unit that means you can not run the cable behind the unit it HAS to entre straight in through the back on the left. The other two TSi 80s it did not matter. So much fun drilling tiles !!!
It does not have a low preasure light or a push on/off button, just goes on a pull cord. We do not use the turn dial as on/off as the dial fitting into the unit is the usual now a days flimsy afair, so less turning the better.
Just a note once installed and put together the turn dials sit proud in a designer type way, you have not put them on wrong.
Good preasure.
Good basic shower. It was straight forward to fit and although it is only 7.5kW so can’t therefore be expected to be the most powerful in the world, I have never had a problem with the temperature. If you want a full on power shower this will not be for you but if you just need a good, basic shower than this will certainly do the trick
A well made, cheap, shower unit. I bought this to replace an old Triton shower that gave up the ghost after nearly 14 years of faithful service. Because it lasted for so long, I decided to buy the same make as a replacement. This shower is almost the same as my old one, and was even cheaper than the one I bought in 2001. I paid 80 for that one, and this replacement was only 48. It was easy to fit, and only required a couple of tiles to be changed due to the old access points being slightly different. The shower head and riser rail is of good quality, and would probably cost 20 if purchased separately, so all in all, a brilliant shower for a very good price.
This is a good shower with quite a powerful flow, instant hot water, and is working a treat in my bathroom at the moment. I would definitely buy again. Just wish it had come in silver, as white is a bit boring.
The only warning I would give is similar to what the other reviewers have said, in that there is a small piece of equipment that doesn’t come with the shower. This made it quite complicated to fit, as the piece of equipment had to be taken from my old broken Triton to be used in this one. I don’t know the name of it though, luckily for me my Dad is an electrical engineer so I didn’t have to pay for fitting, or the extra time.
My third Triton shower unit in 25 years (ie they last around 12 years?). Which I cannot complain about in this hard-water area.
The last one sprang a leak at the diaphragm, there is a new valve available but not really at a price making it worth doing. (I think the first one sprang a couple of fixable leaks too – it was solidly furred up before I threw it away).
Was it necessary to change the case design and water ingress point in the 1990s? The flexible braided stainless hoses available are brilliant, otherwise it would be a plumber each time.
Replaced a far more expensive shower which lasted about 5 years with this. So my expectations weren’t that high. Only in a few weeks but I would say that the water pressure is slightly better. Temperatures are good too. I would say it’s ever so slightly louder than my previous one but nothing major. One slight concern. Plumber said the olive fitting that you need to pipe it was slightly smaller to the older one despite being described as the same size. I would suggest taking the shower unit to the plumbing supply place to ensure you get the right fittings as they don’t come with the unit. Other than that the fitting was quick with plenty of options to suit the existing plumbing. An absolute steal for the price.
Fiddly install for me but that’s not the units fault as I replaced in place of existing Mira Sprint – different manufacturer. The unit provides plenty of install options.
Really good flow whilst keeping the water hot – I do have 1.5 BAR plus pressure from mains.
Water temperature occasionally fluctuates whilst showering but hardly noticeable when it does happen – not a reason to jump out!
I’ve had this 3 months now and more than happy with it for 70!
I purchased this shower to replace an existing Triton T80 variant that looked as if it had been in situ for around 25years. The old model was showing signs of age, with low pressure and a very tired look. Having just acquired the property last year, I was unsure as to cable specification, so did not want to consider higher rated units of 8.5Kw or higher. Given the T80 was a 7.5Kw design, then the 6.0mm cable required would still be sufficient for this model, and hence the choice to buy. Amazon was the only dealer from which I was able to source a 7.5Kw shower, and the price was fair given the rarity. The good thisng about this shower. is that the plumbing requires no change, withy only the cable (needs shortening slightly) and shower rail screw locations, sowing any deviation from the original installation.
The shower itself is easy to use, and while ‘weak’ compared to a conventional combi driven alternative, was a pleasant surprise in terms of useable pressure.
Overall a simple economic replacement solution where extensive alteration is not an option.
Swapped this for an old Triton 14 years old, straight swap fitted perfect. as I have 6mm cable I couldn’t go for anything over 8KW or would need new wiring! Glad I did as it uses less power and water than more powerful showers and does what it’s supposed to. Fully recommend, fast delivery and well packaged. Left a star off as the setting dial is slightly confusing as to what setting its on, but I’m used to it now, probably a bit harsh complaining about a small thing, would give 9 out 10 if I could.
I bought this shower as a replacement for a lower-powered Mira electric shower which was on it’s last legs.
I had to install a heavier duty circuit breaker and RCD consumer unit, and ensure that the existing wiring (10mm2) was adequate for the extra power, and I had to do some plumbing work as the existing setup came out in the wrong place, and there was no
in-line stop valve.
However, once all that was done, installation of the shower itself was very straightforward, and the instructions quite adequate. The extra power means the new shower is very efficient, though of course it’s more expensive to run.
If you plan a similar upgrade, check first that your water supply is adequate and that your wiring and switchgear are up to the job. There is useful guidance online.
I had a Triton T70 shower which was about 18 years old and was starting to leak. The Seville has enough mounting points and water inlets that it was able to replace the T70 very easily. Took about an hour. Needed a 7.5kW shower as I did not want to upgrade cables.
Suggestions for fitting a replacement. Take loads of photos of the OLD shower with cover on and off. It was handy to be able to refer back to the old model while bending wires and suchlike for the new one.
I bough this so that it would virtually swap for my old Tritan shower so that the electric and water inlets where all in the same places.
The shower does great and I’m very happy with it. It a little bit bulky looking but I’m happy with it. the shower head has a good spread and you can adjust for other sprays.
It has a cold setting, a warm setting and a hot setting, and then you can adjust within these setting from 1-10 dial. Winter for me usually the Hot setting and 5 on the dial.
All round good inexpensive shower.
personally I like the mixer shower that we also have but my wife and daughter prefer the triton .
I found it easy to fit as it replaced an earlier shower all I had to do was change the point of entry for the electrical connections the water connectors from the previous shower where already in place ,if as a diyer you have confidence in yourself in these area,s
then there is no problem otherwise get help don’t make yourself suffe
Spotted this at 45.00 from amazon.
Bought it as a replacement for an older Triton 9.5kW
Only niggle was the shower hose is only a metre – which is a bit naff
If you do install it yourself read the manual carefully because you could blow a small safety pressure valve called a PRD which can rarely be reset but can be replaced with a new one (around 7.50 on here)
If you are going to replace your own shower, youtube has some good vids worth watching before having a go
The shower is perfect and powerful, it fit to a T and we’re very much enjoying it as opposed to the old shower which began leaking. I had issues with delivery by Citylink although once I contacted them and arranged a re-delivery, it came straight away without any fuss. Also I did not know about the time limit you have to checkout from the time the product enters your basket, meaning my deal had expired but I proceeded to checkout – this being my first time buying via Today’s Deals. Amazon were fantastic in answering my questions and they refunded me the discount amount which I missed out on. Overall I am very happy with the product and services.
I can’t praise this shower unit enough! We have an old Triton Shower Unit downstairs which has given years of excellent service, so when we decided to fit a shower unit upstairs choosing the make was a no-brainer. I just wanted something hotter and the Triton Seville 9.5kw has delivered.
The price represented excellent value for money being a lot cheaper than other similar sized models from other manufacturers. It was easy to install and very easy to operate with good temperature regulation. Would I recommend this shower to a friend? Without any hesitation whatsoever.
Arrived in cardboard box that was unimpressive, but the important contents did impress me. The shower has been fitted in a rented house and the occupants seem happy, and don’t we know they like perfection. All parts sealed in bubble bags so none could be lost, and a set of instructions added. I am very happy with this product especially the price, and service from seller who delivered in 2 days. What more could I ask for without being picky?
This is the only replacement unit I could find for my 20 year old 7Kw Triton without having to uprate the wiring. Fitting was fairly easy, although I had to re-route the cabling from the isolator. Performance is as good as one could expect from a 7Kw unit & adequate for my needs. The low power setting is useful for summer use.
Look, it’s a basic unit – don’t expect fantastic life from it. On average, ours lasts just short of two years.
It’s really worthwhile looking to buy at ‘half-price’ and invest in ‘next time it dies’ reality. That way you have the same basic template and swapping is a bit of a dawdle.
Also, as for approaching Triton for spares (like I did recently because the slider ‘grip’ began to fail to hold) they can charge about 500% on small things – when equivalents are easily found in the likes of Ebay and even Amazon at a cost of pennies really!
Oh, and when the water starts ‘dribbling’ from the wall unit – go seek out a kit of ‘O’ rings (wee rubber washers) ’cause nine time out of ten – that’s what’s perished and can be very easily replaced.
It took this guy a LONG time to suss out these money-saving ideas.
Rapid delivery & packed well, wired up and ready to go quickly.
Good value for money, but perhaps a little basic, the shower head is OK, nothing more. Water pressure is high ( at our place ) so I can’t comment on performance if your pressure is low, but it works well, and altering the temperature is easy, and spaced. It has a low, and high heat settings, both work well.
For the money / power rating / usability its a very good buy. Hence 5 stars.
BTW I have found to preserve the life of any shower, turn to cold before turning off.
Negatives
Case sealing rubber only goes around top part, instead of all the way around. ( 0.001 saved !)
Could be more room for cable entry at the rear of unit.
Internal `heater boiler’ is plastic ( some are copper )
This shower is very good value for money. It would be better with a push button on/off switch as with our previous unit but it works very well and is ideal for our household as we are in a hard water area and electric appliances do not have a long life.I did not want to spend too much as it will need to be replaced in a few years. On the whole excellent value.
I paid 60 for this shower and I personally think it’s worth every penny. You have a high and lower power setting so if you happen to need a cooler temperature in Summer then you can use the lower setting and save some energy. I can’t say anything about installation as I had it installed by a professional but as this replaced a Triton shower, it was quite easy for him. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this shower unit. for general showering use it fits the bill.
A cheap, easy to fit (with it’s multi point water and electrical entry points) shower that is oddly the exact same shower as a lot of other Triton units costing a lot, lot more. This whole shower actually cost me less than the figure to replace the enclosed water heater itself.. I wasn’t a fan of the big table tennis bat rose and use our older unit instead. We have a very good mains water pressure here but I think the flow rate will suffer quite badly if the temperature dial needs to be round on the red ’12 to 3 o’clock’ section of the dial. But overall, I can’t complain and it does exactly what we want.. 🙂
No retail packaging, just brown box but all there inc instructions, warranty card, shower rail, hose and head.
Piping hot with decent pressure, setting around 5.5 on the temp knob for normal shower.
Great shower, couldnt have 10.5kw because it was wired with 6mm not the required 10mm cable but no complaints with this 8.5kw unit.
4 stars because of the packaging
Having always had Triton showers in the past and having installed at least five over the years I, obviously, decided to replace my dead shower with another Triton. The old unit was about six years old and had failed because the water flow control had started to leak and water had dripped onto the solenoid causing it to fail. This must be a known problem because Triton had put a small sheet of rigid plastic between the water flow ccontrol and the solenoid to act as an umbrella of sorts. It obviously hadn’t worked. A quick look on the Triton website told me that a new solenoid was 36.29. With a brand new shower complete with new shower head, hose etc at only 60 it was a no brainer. Not exactly environmentally friendly though Triton! The equivalent would be a new starter motor on a car costing about four grand.
Took the old unit out and fitted the new one in about twenty minutes. Put the flow control to minimum, turned the power selector to cold………NOTHING, DEAD AS A DODO!!!. To cut a long story short, after much head scratching and several hours I discovered that the switch that sends power to the solenoid was not properly located so the camshaft which is attached to the power control knob was not activating it when turned. Fitted and working now and I am happy again. I’m just glad that I wasn’t paying a trades person to do the job, it would have cost me a fortune.
I bought this shower to replace a faulty Triton T80i shower, whose heating element had failed. The price of the Seville 8.5kW shower was less than the replacement part for the T80i, so it was a no-brainer! The new shower fitted almost exactly into the space left by the T80i, and I just had to trace a short cavity for the power supply cables – about 2 inches needed to be dug into the tiles behind the shower to allow it to fit snugly to the wall. Plumbing was identical, so no need to change anything there.
Overall, delighted with this new shower and the only thing I miss from the old one is the single on/off button. The Seville has a dial instead, but that’s no big deal really.
Ticks all the boxes but 1, the lead on the shower head could do with being longer. It would help in cleaning the bath or area where you stand for a shower. And to save my ears cos it’s shorter than previous one for when my wife is washing her hair over the bath. But is for the price ,good value.
Good shower for the money good performance for a 7.5kw I was surprised. But I wish it had a swivel connection to the feed as I had to modify the existing pipe to fit but saying that it would probably connect in to place if replacing another triton. If it was’nt for that I would have gave it 5 stars
I bought this shower to replace our old 1 which had stopped working. I am extremely happy with this shower as it has more power and is hotter than my old 1 (which was also a 10.5kw electric shower). The water is piping hot on the 3rd setting and at number 5 on the temperature dial. The water also comes out with plenty of power. 1 negative is that the power dial is on upside down but as there is only 3 settings it doesn’t affect the use of the shower and the temperature dial is in the correct place. For the price I paid I wasn’t going to send it back as everything else works perfectly. It arrived well packaged and within 2 days which again is excellent as I chose the free delivery option.
I bought this shower to replace an old 7.2Kw system when I had my bathroom refitted. A 7.5Kw system was the maximum I could have not only because I didn’t want to replace the old electrical wiring but also because my meter is only 80amps and that has to power my cottage and the various outbuildings on my smallholding.
I did quite a bit of research whilst looking for a replacement and the mainly positive reviews helped to decide on this model. The excellent price was the final deciding factor. I chose first class delivery and it was delivered 24 hours after I placed my order.
I am very pleased with it so far. It produces plenty of hot water (more than the previous shower) and looks nice too. Assuming it continues to perform better than the old shower (which was 15 years old), I shall continue to be delighted with it. If you are looking for a replacement for a 7.2-7.5Kw shower then I can happily recommend the Triton Seville.
Although this is the same kw as our last shower, this one gets much hotter, which is wonderful! Shower pressure is about the same, as one would expect. It isn’t a power shower, but no electric shower is ever going to do that for you. We have one shower which is a powerful shower and runs off our combi boiler, but we like an electric one as spare in case the boiler breaks down. This does the job at a great price.
Ended up getting an electrician to install this for us, as we weren’t quite sure about doing it ourselves. He had to drill a few alternative holes, but nothing to major for someone DIY minded. It lost one star because it isn’t as easy to do yourself as the instructions suggest.
Very pleased with shower, easy to fit, looks good and glad to find 7.5 kw, so as not have to upgrade electrics. Rate Triton as a good make and hope it last as long as last one. In fact last still okay, but look dated and needed a new as doing up bathroom. Not as powerful as liked, but just wanted something to replace like for like.
we were deciding to completely re vamp our bedroom and en-suite but with having a limited budget decided to get the best prices for everything.Having found out the most powerful electric shower we could install was 10.8kw, then searching the net for best deals kept coming back to amazon and this shower.Compared to the next price which is double i could not try it out.
The shower arrived promptly and well packaged with options to install from both sides with water and power, the unit fitted the standard fittings well and seamed well built with a great shower head. The system is a plain clean looking box that doesn’t have bells and whistles but offers a good head of very hot water quickly.
the shower has performed great there’s nicer looking slick showers out there but if you need a good one and don’t want to spend lots then you have found the right item.
if the shower had different finishes like chrome or cream then i would have given five stars but otherwise a fantastic buy, thanks again amazon more money saved.
Our 10-year-old 7kW T70si finally gave up the ghost, so I chose this (the 7.5kW model) as the nearest possible equivalent, both in terms of electrical rating and physical dimensions.
No disappointments here, internally it looks virtually identical to the T70si. The the wall fixing screws and water inlet pipe are in exactly the same place, so it was dead easy to fit.
There’s slightly more plastic where the power cable comes in, meaning you’ll need an inch or so more cable slack than the for old model.
Once fitted it works just as well as the T70si used to, ours runs off a header tank via a pump for extra pressure, and it’s fine with that.
My grandparents Electric 7 Kw shower stopped working, so since im a electrician i said i could help and fix it. . . . No, the parts needed for the shower turned out to be More expensive than buying a whole new one shower.
So i set out searching for a NEW 7 Kw – 7.5Kw shower. tuned out to be more harder than i thought. couldn’t seem to find one at all.or if i did they were all 150+. plenty of 8.5-10.5 Kw but this would mean up grading the cable feeding the old shower, Meaning alot of work and money my grandparents could do without really.
Then after a few days i just thought, why not try on here (amazon) not thinking they would really.
YES THEY DOOOOO!!!! FANTASTIC
Great price and i know Triton are a quality Make too. delivered to my grandparents house in the middle of the country side too Plumber (My best friend) had to re tile as the old shower had been tiled round it but once that was done fitted it in no time and my grand parents love it.
they can use the controls on it very easy and set it to just how they like it.
ive even had the chance to use it myself after my pipes froze. and i can really recommend it.
Well Happy with it and more importantly so are my grandparents 🙂
I purchased this Triton Seville shower unit to replace another 7.5Kw unit that had packed up. Below are the Pros and Cons.
Pros:
* Easy to fit and plumb in
* Very easy to use
* 5 different shower head settings
* Water flow rate ideal for a 7.5Kw unit
Cons:
* N/A for a 7.5Kw unit – You get what you pay for!
Would I buy another?
Yes – For the upstairs bathroom
Why?
Because I don’t want to pay to upgrade the main power supply for a more powerful shower!
I’ve given this Shower Unit 5 stars as it does exactly what a 7.5Kw shower is built to do!
Very pleased with my new shower. Went from 9.5kW to this 10.5kW and the difference is quite marked. The increase in power has resulted in a good strong stream of water with plenty of scope for increasing the heat (only on half heat setting which produces a hot, strong shower). Best electric shower I’ve had.
Basic clunk, clunk controls but very efficient and excellent value.
Bought this to replace a Triton t80i that was limping on and long overdue a replacement. wanted to avoid anything too complicated just to change over like for like. However didn’t want to spend too much due to planned bathroom renovations. Best money I’ve spent, compared to the old shower the flow pressure and temperatures were very good. Wish we thought of it ages ago. Been in situ about a month now no problems. The hose was a bit shorter than we were used to so swapped that but everything else worked out perfectly.
We got this to replace an old shower. It is nice and white and bright.Like the shower head alternative settings. Overall very pleased with it. If we had better water pressure I am sure I would love it even more but it does what it should and I love the fact that when you switch it off you don’t get doused in cold water-it just stops. Overall satisfied with it but if your elecrics support it I would have gone for the 10.5kw-personal choice. It wasnt too hard to fit and it does the job.
I was unsure about what shower to buy when replacing my old shower, but decided to take the plunge and give this one a go – and I am so glad i did. Not only has it got 5 shower spray patterns (where most in this price range only have one) it comes with the shower head rail optional soap dish and new hose etc too which for the price i paid (around 60) was brilliant value and without any compromise in quality. I managed to fit it all myself (with the exception of the connection to the mains which I got a sparky to do – as i think you need to be qualified to do this? – but could have easily done it myself anyway). The only thing I am disappointed with is that Amazon were the cheapest again – would have preferred to have bought this somewhere else, as I dont agree with Amazon’s tax dodging and would prefer to have given my money to a more ethical company, but that is nothing to do with the product. The product gets a VERY well deserved 5 stars!
This turned out to be a decent choice. I went with a low power shower as it was a direct replacement and I didn’t want to overload my 6mm cable. The water flow is reasonable and it’s okay for me as I don’t want too much water usage.
The case had to be cut with a hacksaw to allow my choice of cable entry (bottom of side right). The box and advert said the cable water pipe entry points but even the booklet doesn’t tell you that you need to carefully saw the plastic away to fit. Considering the previous model I used did have special cut-outs exactly for this purpose it seems that this is not progress at all. I suspect it allows the manufacturer to cut costs but it makes it difficult for the installer.
Overall, a decent purchase for the money especially as I can’t source a 7.5kw shower at any of the main diy outlets.
Now that it is installed, it works really well and I am very pleased with it. However, the product description says it has several entry points for water pipe and electric cable. It doesn’t. It has one on the bottom and even that you need a small hacksaw to cut out. You can, as the instructions say, cut entry holes elsewhere but none of this is the same as having several entry points. Other than that it was relatively easy to install.
I bought a Triton Seville 9.5 kW Electric Shower from Amazon. The product was well advertise,
with full info about the product. I received the Electric Shower within two days of ordering it on line.
The Triton Seville once installed is a beautiful shower to look at, easy to use, and delivers cascades
of hot water at a flick of a switch. The temperature control remained constant throughout however long
one take a shower, no variation in water temperature at all. It is so quick and easy to use and now I
use this shower everyday, bliss….

Amazing how much you learn when you research a purchase on Amazon – so this review is an attempt to give back so to speak. We had an old Triton T70i shower which suddenly stopped passing water (sorry) and some online research identified that this was probably a failed solenoid, 15 to replace on the auction site that shall remain nameless. Or I could buy the Seville for 52.
Since our T70i was 14 years old and used daily it was worth splashing out (sorry) on a new one. My decision was assisted by the fact that Amazon were offering a box-damaged one for 42. Received today on Prime delivery, and true to their word, it was just the box that was damaged, the shower unit is brand new and I was able to register the guarantee. It has taken me around 2 hours to install (half of which was spent undoing the compression joint on the old shower) and we now have a shower again, thank goodness.
Some key points that may be helpful.
a. The old T70i came in 7KW and 8KW variants. If you have the 7KW model, your wiring will probably be 6mm and your breaker 32A. Any replacement more powerful than 7.5KW requires 10mm wiring and 45A breaker. I could see my way to a new breaker, but not new wiring, so had to buy a 7.5KW shower
b. Seville seems to be the only Triton available in low wattage AND this kit is very good value. The shower head bundled with the Seville alone costs 20 to buy separately and is far nicer than our old one. Lower wattage means lower energy bills so don’t hanker after the 8.5KW-10.5KW models. The water flow on our new Seville is fine and hot, it seems a bit better than the T70i, I guess the extra 0.5KW makes a difference.
c. The Seville unit footprint is a good match for the T70i except the top and bottom are curved rather than square, and the lower securing screw needs a new hole in the wall. The upper wall screw and the pipe connection are in the same place. I didn’t even have to cut the mains wire like some other reviewers, was able to loop it and squash down under the cover.
d. I did not try and fit the riser rail bundled with the Seville, from reading other reviews the fixing points might not be an exact match which is a bore. The hose fittings are standard so I was able to use my old riser rail and bracket with the new head, problem solved.
e. You will need a new compression olive for the pipe connector, a wall plug for the new hole, and possibly a new compression nut if you mangle the old one like I did. Everything else in the box.
This is not a trendy shower but it does the job with competence and is fantastic value. Well done Triton for making the old T70i so reliable, and for making the Seville low cost and backward compatible. Well done Amazon for accurate descriptions, excellent value and speedy delivery.
Good luck….
my gas boiler packed up and power shower was fed from this ,so needed a quick
fix so we could all shower again!
was thinking oh dear back to a drizzle shower for a while,
but was not as bad as i thought ,it does the job fine , only one pipe connection ,and flow rate enough, obviously not like my power shower,
all in all a good shower for the money, and would recommend
1 star missing because takes a few minutes to heat up properly and no other water usage in house when having a shower lol or you might get a bit too hot/cold
I bought this to replace a triton that had been in my house some years before I moved in (2001). I took out the bath and got a shower cubicle and stone tray (Also from amazon 200 delivered – awesome!!!!) but had to lengthen the water pipe by about 1 metre .
Started to have worries about water pressure but to my surprise this shower performs very well.
At time of writing 08/2012 if I turn it on (top switch starts it ) to two red bar setting and leave it on number 4 (out of 10 . 10 hottest . bottom switch) I get a lovely warm shower with very good flow. Not sure I like the two grey water drops on the front ! Any body got a tin of paint !!
Worth 5 stars if that’s all I have to moan about.
My last Triton has lasted from circa 1993 and, obviously, it was not worth repairing. The price on this Seville could not be matched elsewhere and it doesn’t need to be on the ‘full bore’ (double red position) to provide comfortable heat – although the winter awaits. It is a simple, basic shower and quite adequate. And another minor thing – when you turn it off it just stops – the last one had to give you a dose of cold water. And it was fitted for 35 – village prices.
I was going to request help to fit this from a retired plumber uncle but couldn’t wait and did it myself. Took me most of a day but to be fair that was due to problems removing the old shower, alterations adapting the piping and fitting a water isolation valve that the original system lacked; and being an adequate but never adept DIYer. This shower was good value for money and feels like good build quality. It performs well is perfect for my stand up bath function. Not really got anything bad to say about it and being curmudgeonly for not giving it five stars; the old never say anything (or anybody) is perfect attitude that my employer adopts when doing staff appraisals.
I needed a replacement shower as my old 9.5kW unit started smoking! Found this with good fitting options, good power for a great price. Sadly the fittings didn’t really match my old shower, so I had to re-run the power from the isolator switch and get a straight compression coupler for the water.
After that actually fitting the shower was dead simple, included shower head is pretty good and it sure kicks out the water a lot hotter/harder than my old shower. If you can get this for a sale price, snap it up! If it’s full price, it’s still a good shower. Recommended!
My very expensive 10kw shower finally gave up after 16 years, I looked around prepared to pay 200 to 300 pounds for a new one then came across this, as I might be doing the bathroom up in a couple of years I decided to risk buying this cheap shower, I needn’t have been worried, I can turn it up full power and the water is still hot, in fact it is better than my previous shower, I thought the shower head would be a cheap one, but to my surprise it was a really good one with 5 different sprays.
Took about 1.5 hours to install but I had to do some minor alterations to the pipework.
I would definitely recommend.
I got this unit when our previous shower failed in mid winter. Having now used it for a few months we have been very happy with it.
We went up from an 8.5 kW Aqualisa (which cost twice as much incidentally) to this 10.5 kW unit and the difference in the winter is quite significant. The extra power makes the shower quite useable in the winter where the previouse one was underpowered and felt either too cold or did not allow enough flow. I did upgrade the cable back to the consumer unit as well to ensure that it could cope with the extra power.
The unit is simple to use having two hot water setting (full and half) and one cold water setting. There is then a fine te,perature control dial. Even in the depths of winter we used the unit on full power and 6/10 on the fine dial to get the water hot enough. As spring has come and the incoming water has warmed up we have been able to turn the fine setting down to 5 already. I was not sure if the extra 2 kW of power would make enough difference to be able to use it in the winter, but it certainly did. Well worth the hassle of the cable upgrade.
If I was making any criticism it would be of the bracket that holds the head on the wall. Its rather cheap and cheerful and the head falls out of it rather easily. The head itself is of quite good quality and at this price, no complaints really.
This product was purchased when my previous Triton shower failed after 7 years. There are very few 7.5kW showers available from the bigger high street stores, so ordered this one online. It was cheaper than many others and arrived on free delivery in 3 working days.
It was relatively easy to install, but perhaps only has one or two options for cable (above, best on LHS) and water routing (below RHS or from RHS side / behind). It comes with a dual pattern head and robust chromed cable and compared to others you get alot for the c.70 (incl delivery) I paid for mine.
The only slight drawback was the outside design and inside workings look as though they were designed in the 1990’s, perhaps the unit is not quite as stylish as others, but it is a very minor point. I could not see it easily on the triton site, so wonder if it is a about to be discontinued model.
The temperature control works OK, although I only ever use it between 4 and 6 on the dial, anything else is way too hot or cold. The slightly rounded top means you can only balance 1 bottle on the top of the unit, although the tray is of a generous size.
Being 7.5kW means you don’t get much flow past 5.5-6 on the dial with both elements on.
Overall it is not the most stylish of units, but a very usable unit from a well known good manufacturer and the low price really makes it worthwhile.
Arrived promptly, and a day before expected (by Taxi, no less!), in good packaging.
The instructions are very good – fitting and setting up are very well described and it all went with no issues at all – at least none with the product. You should ensure that you either have some extra bits available to plumb it in if you are replacing a current shower unit – such as compression rings etc – or that your local hardware store is within easy reach, and open when you fit the shower!
After fitting and doing the comissioning procedure (which they say is important – so follow to the letter or you may have to buy extra bits to remedy possible self-protection items)I jumped under for a shower straight away and found myself having an extended wash – which I think speaks for itself! Excellent item, easy fitting and does the job very nicely, thank you.
My one minor disappointment was the shower head holder, which doesn’t hold the head firmly and it is therefore liable to swing to one side – especially as the hose is not very flexible. This is, however, a very minor issue and it can easily be remedied, if required.
I have the 10.5kw version. Ensure before buying, that your house electricity supply is up to the job, as the 10.5kw model requires a higher capacity system than the lower powered items. You also need to make sure that your supply will provide sufficient water pressure.
Satisfied.
our old shower wasnt getting hot enough so we went with this 10.5 kw seville. its exactly what we wanted. it was -8 outside last night when i went for a shower and it was plenty hot enough for me on 3.5 and the scale goes up to 10. the only down side was that when i first ordered i opted for the 3 to 5 days free postage and then it said it would be up to a month. it finally got after about 9 days. apart from that 5 stars
I bought this item when my old 10.5kW Aqualisa shower started leaking. I always thought Aqualisa were the best make, but this Triton shower is brilliant. It was easy to install and runs much quieter than the Aqualisa (plus it is a fraction of the cost!). The shower head is adjustable and gives a good flow of water (not prickly like some showers I’ve used). Really good value and would recommend. The only bad thing was it was missing the screws which hold the case onto the backplate, but just used the ones from my old shower.
