Not a lot to say – seems well made from good materials. Hold the phone well with a very fancy opening mechanism. even without the rubber bands the phone is held in place well but once the bands are in place you can batter over any terrain safe in the knowledge you phone is secure.

Comes with spare bands of various colours.

So good we’ve bought two. One for a bicycle and one for a moped. Really rock steady once it’s been fitted.

This is the best phone holder for bikes I have ever used. The elasticated straps help keep the phone in place and it is incredibly easy to install.

Dead easy to fix to my racing handlebars on my fixed gear bike.

You get several silicone elastics in different colours that hold the phone into the unit very well.

The base unit expands to enable most phones to be fitted and then closes onto the sides of the phone to hold it in. With the elastics also on the corners it is well held in my experience of pot holed roads – uneven pavements – jumping on and off kerbs and racing along gravel paths at speed.

    Really happy with this one

First impressions so far are good. Small issue with straps pressing volume keys but after careful adjustment I seem to have sorted it out. Riding over cobbles and they came loose so not suitable for rough terrain.

Phone holder itself is a solid well made piece of kit and easy to fit and use. Phone is rock solid once installed and only real issue was the thread on the locking nut stripped after a few uses. However a quick message to TruActive and a handwritten letter and two replacements soon arrived at my door. Superb customer care > hello Jenny 🙂 < and a pleasure to deal with. Recommended

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSo good that I bought 2 of them.
Very stable, easy to mount, easy to secure the phone, safe bungee straps (with colourful spares) to tie your phone down.
I use them on a road bike and a fold up so not sure what the experience would be like on a mountain bike off road, but it’s certainly good enough to keep your device straight at you when weaving through the bike lanes of London’s Streets.
Good value for money, well made, and comes with a guarantee to swap it out for a new one if the tightening/clamping mechanism isn’t up to scratch, can’t say farer than that.

I’ve used this on a few long rides that needed a phone for navigating. It is stable, hold the phone well and is still easy to get the phone off and on if you need to. (The review buttons include touch screen and water resistance which do not apply to this phone holder)

Had this for a year, including some pretty bumpy biking. Good secure hold on the bike. The grip mechanism works really well. I still use the additional rubber holder provided, but it’s “belt and braces” really. Adjustability is good, hasn’t missed a beat.

Holds phone very firmly. Causes an obstruction to my side buttons (Huawei P30) but still useable.

The bolt through the handlebar clamp is much too long so needs cutting down a bit once you know where you need it to be.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDid the research, as we all do, but it’s still a small leap of faith until you get the product in your hand! Not disappointed! Really well made and designed, so it’s super flexible to install across any part of your handlebars. I felt confident I could tighten all the fasteners and knobs without the materials breaking! Was a bit unsure about the rubber bands to start with, but they work really well too. My iphone was held really securely with just the ‘squeeze’ clamp, but the bands gave 100% security. And it was a nice touch that they included 6 of those, as I could see them being the only weak link through heavy wear and tear. However, so far, I’ve used the clamp extensively for six months and have only changed the band because I fancied a different colour! Holder is highly recommended. Thanks TruActive!

Fits perfectly even with my skinny handlebars. Survived a good few crashes, some of them nasty ones. If it ever broke, which I doubt it will, I’d buy it again without hesitation. Phone is sturdy and secured, straps for extra reassurance. Plenty of metal on metal in the mechanism holding it to the handlebars.

Only negative is a little too much plastic here and there, when you’re trying to tighten it up, the small twisty handle isn’t metal.

    Brilliant Ki

I have picked up the holder today and attached it to my mountain bike for a test ride.

I gave it a good 20 mile ride through trails & woods thoroughly shaking it up and it’s stood up incredibly well a vast improvement on the last one.

It barely moved at all and I also tested it with the new rubber again a vast improvement and feels much more secure using an iPhone 12 standard size but the little flaps stop the slip I used to get with the original bands.

I can’t find any fault with the revised product and test bands really good design and passed a good hard test today very happy & can’t thank you enough for the extra effort you’ve made for a product valued at less than 20 it’s really classy and very refreshing.

Great Product replacement excellent customer service!

Brought as I couldn’t justify getting a 80+ one and I was very surprised at how good quality it is for the money. I use this on my trail bike and my dh bike and it holds true and doesn’t move on hard descents I also have carbon bars and they are hard to clamp on at the best of times, as said for the price you really can’t go wrong and it comes with spare bands etc. would recommend to anyone on a budget.

Brilliant for my trail bike and dh rig

I purchased this phone holder in June and after fitting it to my bike, went on a gentle ride to just see what it was like with my pro max iphone. I was very pleased so then when on rougher rides including gravel tracks and it was put through its paces and I was absolutely impressed with it. As I am not a flamboyant person, I contacted the company to see if I could purchase some plain black securing rubbers and their customer service was second to none. They sent me a few rubber bands, free of charge in the next post. I would totally recommend this holder and would definitely use this company again.

Had no issues with this and would happily buy again. The rubber bands are useful and give a bit of reassurance my phone won’t fall even if the main mechanism failed (which I wouldn’t expect to happen), and having some spares for the future is helpful.
I do store my bike outside and lock it in public places, so I don’t have the luxury of leaving it on all the time, but it’s not too much of a faff to put it on and off each time I’m going for a proper ride.

I bought the phone holder so I could use my map app on my bike as it highlighted alot of offroad routes, I looked at found this one, at first I didn’t know whether it would be very solid for mountain biking, how wrong I was. The phone holder was very easy to install as I scanned through the instructions first, it fitted to my handlebars with ease. Two arms on the side of the holder slowly slide out with the hold of a button on the side of the holder, placed the phone in, push the arms in at the same time with the arms being held in by little teeth so it catches, made sure my phone fit snugly. I chose from the vast array of the band that you get with the holder, wrapped round the corners of my phone and made sure everything was tight and secure and off I go!

I’ve been downhill now with the phone holder and not one second I doubted the strength and rigidity of the holder. After I’d finished I find the phone in the exact same place as well as the holder with my phone still snugly held in place, it never budged.

This phone holder is rock solid and the hulk of phone holders for your bike, what are you waiting for, buy it already!!

Cost effective, very secure even over the roughest ground, bit fiddly to get the securing bands over the phone…. If your phone isn’t waterproof… Get a cover as it’ll be very exposed. I charged mine from my on board USB but road spray and rain got into the exposed charge point and caused chaos so don’t charge in the wet with it otherwise very good bit of kit.

    Secure and cost effective

Golden Review Award: 74 From Our UsersI have a little cb400 super four.
No screen, no fairings and fitted with renthal bars.
The clamp fits securely to the brace bar with no movement or wobble noticed. My Samsung s20fe in its case fits very securely into the mount.
So I took a ride out on the country roads. Uneven twisty roads and it held my phone rock solid. Head for the dual carriage way and at 70mph when I’m being buffeted by the wind and clamping my thighs to the bike for fear of my legs flapping in the wind behind me my phone was still clearly visible and not being shaken or blown about.
Definitely one of my better purchases. Very impressed.

Golden Review Award: 96 From Our UsersI’ve bought two of these now. The first I regrettably left on my last bike when I sold it.

It holds my phone on my motorbike, solid as a rock. Fits to the handle bars in less than 60 seconds and comes with several different colour rubber straps so you can colour code and have loads spare IF they break – I say if because I had mine for a year and the rubber didn’t even begin to perish.

I’ve been flying down the road at a good 100mph, being battered by the wind, with no windscreen for protection and my phone has sat in this mount, solid as a rock, jostling ever so slightly.

Can’t recommend this enough; great value for the specification and universality.

i was on the fence about this holder at first, i was concerned it wouldn’t hold up against the rain etc. – that all depends on your phone. mine is a Motorola so, yknow.. i don’t trust it when even a drop of sweat hits it.

on the flipside, I’m not planning to use another phone holder which insists on a plastic cover between my phone and my fingers – if I’m cycling sometimes i need to be quick when changing directions etc and the absence of another layer helps me see/work it out quickly

i went for this and a waterproof phone case as recommended in the Q&A – and I’m glad i did over the competition. i feel like my phone is SECURE, which outweighs everything else for me personally. the last thing i want is for the phone to drop out of the holder. it wont with this!

I’ve been using it for over a year a now and have covered a ridiculous amounts of miles in a range of conditions. Despite that, I’ve never had a problem adjusting it or setting it up. An added benefit are the straps you can put over your phone to ensure that it stays secure. I remember once I went on a 30 minutes ride and forgot to put the straps on but my phone fortunately still didn’t fall off so that’s just props to how secure it is but I do still recommend using the straps for the added safety as that was a one time thing (me not using).

Furthermore, for those with particular types of taste it comes with different coloured straps so you can change the colour with ease to match whatever you like!

I used this holder on my motorcycle for a 400 mile road trip with a Samsung S7 and it worked fine, I never had any concerns about loosing the phone and never had any problems with the holders stability whilst riding at speed, so it does the job well and is great value. You may want to look at the photos of the rubber straps and check if they could cover any buttons on your phone, it’s not a huge issue but on the S7 they interfered with the volume buttons, though you shouldn’t be playing with the phone on the move anyhow. For the money you can’t go wrong.

Good product apart from the elastics (see update below), which are way too strong and short to hold a big phone well within the measurements specified on the pictures. It should hold a 6″ phone, but not much more.
Fortunately, my phone is still held pretty tight even without it.

Update: the seller was of the ultimate kindness and sent me a replacement product, I can confirm the elastic fits very well and tight.

Very sturdy piece of kit. Has a flap at the bottom that you can pull out for additional support. The arms either side have rubber on them which gives them a better purchase on your phone and it comes with replacement bands in case you snap the one it has on it or just fancy a change of colour! The bracket is also nice and sturdy. It comes with a shorter screw if you’re attaching it onto a thinner bar so it comes with everything to keep all your bases covered. Would highly recommend!

I bought this product for use whilst working as a bike courier. In the box, there was the bike mount itself, with a red elastic holder already installed, as well as a bag containing a variety of other colours. In order to place this on my bike, all I had to do was unscrew the retainer, place it around the handlebars and rescrew. So far, the mount has held up to daily use, without dropping my phone out onto the road. As I’m using a road bike, I experience a lot of vibration when cycling, so the only drawback of this product is the slight slipping of the connection between the bike mount and the support holding my phone. Other than this, the product is brilliant. Great value for money, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a phone mount who’s on a budget.

I shopped around for a Bike Phone Holder, it looked like I’d either pay way over for some big brand or end up with something cheap that didn’t work.

I saw this item and decided to take a gamble and it turned out to be perfect. Easy to set up, easy to adjust and holds the phone in place. It’s exactly what I needed at a good price.

My bike is on a Turbo Trainer when I use this Phone Mount and therefor stationary, so I don’t know how it handles on the road, but it is well made and sturdy I don’t think it would be an issue.

    PROS:
    – good range of adjustment
    – the holder remained in place on the bike
    – fells nice and solid
    – the 4-corner elastic felt very tough
    – good instructions

    CONS:
    – the “jaws” gradually opened allowing the phone to twist in the holder, and looked as if the phone could come loose entirely; this was just on a journey of only about 40 mins on ordinary roads; I solved this by adding extra elastic bands to hold the jaws together
    – bit tedious to remove and replace the holder from and to the bike when I left the bike in a public place; the tediousness is because one needs to remove the nut entirely from the bolt; also then risking losing the nut and/or bolt. A SOLUTION would be to have a slot that the bolt can slide out sideways through; I have had a bike light with fitting like that for many years, and there has never been a tendency for it to slide out of the slot accidentally.

The phone holder is very secure and easy to use – when I first ordered this, it seemed to simple a mechanism but it does definitely work! The mechanism that holds the phone from the side is well designed to grip the phone without causing damage, and the elastic straps do hold the phone very firmly in place. I was pleased to see my phone didn’t move or jiggle around when going over speed bumps or bumpy roads. It’s easy to mount on the bike, but do make sure you screw the mount together tightly to stop it shifting around on your handlebars. I would recommend getting a rubbery phone case to help the mount grip to. I also like that it comes with lots of different colour elastic straps. Would recommend 100%

The holder is very strong it’s easy to manipulate into any position you wish, once in place, all you have to do is secure your phone properly using the available retainers, once in place forget and enjoy, this product is a great investment, if you prize your expensive mobile phone, it’s well worth it.

Bought this as a stop-gap mount for my motorbike as I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a quadlock – I wasn’t expecting much.
I was VERY surprised when it arrived – presentation was excellent, which tbh in my books isn’t highbin my list of priorities.

My phone (galaxy s7) sits in the cradle nice and snug, the adjustable grips pinch it brilliantly, and the very strong silicone grip holds each corner really well.

The cradle itself clamps on the bars bloody tight – and way way better than many other holders out there.

Its been on my bike now for a few months without fault – and is now on my son’s mountain bike.

Tldr; excellent clamp, brilliant holder, strong grip. Buy one.

This is probably the best phone holder I’ve ever had.
I’ve put on the handlebars of my mountain bike that I go off road on, and some of the trackways are worse than a cobble stoned street, proper bone shakers, so much so that I’ve even had nuts and bolts that were torqued down come undone, and my phone didn’t even go on the wonk, it stayed exactly where I put it, and the choice of coloured bands, I chose a bright one so anyone that even thinks about grabbing it can see it’s well secured.
If I ever need another one for another bike, I’m getting another one of these.

I haven’t put this on my bicycle yet, but i tried the phone on it and it feels very secure 🙂 It has security for both the ball and the handle bar mount.
Update: After a bike ride i can confirm that your phone will be 100% secure with this mount.
If you use this for its advertised use (to see your phone’s screen for gps, calls, etc) you’ll be pleased with its sturdyness and security.
If you’re like me and you’re looking for an inexpensive way to use your phone to record/stream your bike rides:
    a) if it’s a motorbike or bicycle with suspension (at least front) you’ll proly have a smooth-ish footage.
    b) if it’s a bicycle with no suspension (road bike) and your area has bumps, generally bad spots in the streets, or if you go on offroad bike rides, the footage won’t be good. No matter how much you fasten the mount it will always be affected by the vibrations. (Which is only natural) There might be an improvement by using some kind of shock absorbing gel tape (there are some on amazon) but i haven’t tried it yet).
All in all the product does what it promises which is mounting your phone securely on a wide range of handle bar sizes, rotating 360 horizontaly and leaving you access to the monitor. (The rubber bands do not affect the screen touch (e.g press stuff on their own))

Extra little details that were cool: I got a card with a qr code that gave me lifetime warranty and 50% off amazon code for TruActive products 🙂
There are 10 or more spare elastic bands (in diff colors too) in the package AND a spare screw thingy for the handle bar mount!
It also doesn’t need any tools to be mounted on the handlebar, which will come in handy if you wanna lock the bike somewhere and take the mount with you so it doesn’t get stolen or damaged 🙂

Very secure fit for several different models of phone I’ve used (P30 pro and Galaxy S10), and works both with and without screen protectors and gel cases due to the design of the side grips. Easy to install, screen and buttons can be used while in the holder, and I’ve gone over some pretty big bumps and it’s held the phone securely.

It can rotate around easily and is really useful for having Strava, maps, or Pokemon Go open when out cycling. The pack was very premium and they sent lots of different colours of rubber grip, I didn’t really need them but it was nice of them to send those. They also sent a postcard to check how I was getting on with it, which was nice :). Ended up just buying a second one for a friend who keeps borrowing mine!

Got one for my birthday from my son and am absolutely delighted with it. V easy to fit and that applies to handlebars of various dimensions. It holds your phone very securely by means of retractable grips coupled with a cleverly designed rubber cradle which stretches to fit. They supply replacements in a range of colours. The ball and socket joint means you can position it at the right angle. I thought it might be a bit flimsy but that is not the case. There is some vibration on rough surfaces but that’s inevitable.

Overall very pleased with this product. So much so I bought one for my son so he can see where he is going when delivering burgers.

Extra support from the rubber bands is great and stops any wobble while out on the road. I tested it last night and I’m really impressed. Would definitely recommend for motorbikes. The cat seems more interested in lounging on the bike A+ from me. Lots of spare coloured rubber bands provided just in case needed and the shorter bolt supplied would be handy for fitting this on to a pushbike if required.

Bought this phone holder a couple of months ago and I can’t fault it. It fits the handlebars on my bike at their thickest point..but only just, but that’s still with the rubber insert left in. Once clamped up it won’t budge at all and provides a very sturdy support for my phone (Samsung s10) It’s very easy and quick to remove if you are leaving your bike for any length of time. The mount is fully adjustable and you can have your phone in portrait or landscape orientation and adjust the tilt very easily as well. Just squeeze the grips to hold your phone and press the button to release it. The mount also comes with a range of coloured bands so you can match your bikes colour if you are bothered about that, to hold your phone even more securely but it grips the phone really well without them…maybe not off road. All in all money well spent and excellent value.

Great product. I did have reservations if the holder would be of sufficient quality and sturdiness, especially when you place an expensive Smart phone in its safety. I ride a Royal Enfield motorcycle and its a bit heavy on the vibration, not to mention Britains pot hole riddled roads. The holder was easy to attach to the handle bar and the phone, Samsung Galaxy S10, sat nicely in the cradle and grips held it firmly, then attached the elastic poly web around each corner of the phone. I nervously set off, but the holder was great. Really steady and easy to read the phone, for directions. The phone didnt vibrate hardly at all and very secure. Great product… I in fact bought a second…. just in the future I would need for a push bike.

Having been worried about wasting my money on a shoddy product I finally chose this one on the basis of the many positive reviews. It didn’t disappoint. It was easy to fit onto the handlebars of my bicycle and has never shifted in use. I do have to take my iPhone 8 Plus out of its case to attach it to the device but that’s no problem. The rubber bands fit easily but securely round the phone. They seem very robust but there are a number of different coloured bands supplied with the holder so I expect to be using it long term.

    Quality Product. Very Good Value.

I have used this holder on 2 motobikes this past year, 2 trips through France and Spain, with return trips. It has kept the phone secure in the cradle, even on the odd occasion when I have forgotten to use the rubber straps. Very stable off road on bumpy surfaces, never a problem. If there is only one phone holder you want to buy, make it this one, seems to be well made and very strong. I have even managed to use it to secure a satnav unit in it, using the rubber bands. It is adjustable to any angle, and does not come loose. Although no rain protection, just pop your phone in a ziplock bag and it worked for me through the rain. Family run business, so support them

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis holds my Huawei P30 Pro (a large phone) very securely as I cycle round and about mainly on roads, sometimes on tracks. Occasionally it shifts position if I’m going over bumpy ground but that might be because I haven’t cranked up the tightness to 11 – I try and leave a bit of leeway on the tension.
I got a very sweet personalised postcard from the vendor, asking me for an honest review, no incentives given. Here it is.
Very good product, excellent value. Recommended!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOk, so ive had this item on my motorbike for 3 months now and feel its been long enough to write a fair review. The holder felt of decent quality as soon as i unpacked it. The fixings are well manufactured and ive discovered no short cuts at all in its design. It fitted easily onto the handlebars of my Bmw1150gsa, and when adjusted, could be tightened with confidnce for a secure hold. It grips my Cat S41 phone perfectly, with the secondary strap offering piece of mind. The phone is Mil spec so is heavier and chunkier than most. This has caused no problems for the holder, even when sat for long periods at over 100mph. Holds fast through downpours. Copes with off-roading. I’ve taken the bike into the air a good few times and the it still hasnt budged on the landing. This is what I wanted. This is what I paid for. This is what I got.
My only regret is Truactive dont sell anything else that i need at the moment…. because if they did, i wouldnt look elsewhere. They have my trust and I dont give that lightly. Thanks.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI literally put this together and with a tiny voice in the back of my head saying “just give it a light shake” I shook it.
The phone didn’t fall. I shook harder, still nothing. I thought, why not… So i shook it as hard as I possibly could, and all that happened was the flimsy crappy flap that your phone base sits on, slightly bent downward. I believe that My phone would’ve still stayed attached even if the VERY weak thin base snapped off.
This is surprising, given that this is almost all plastic and doesn’t feel particularly strong at all, moreso, when the base stand for holding the phone bends, it actually separates the entire mechanism of this thing, making it extremely potentially weak, and yet I repeatedly shook as hard as i could and nothing.
If I weren’t concerned that this cheap plastic would easily snap, then i’d have given five stars as I do believe that this is actually not gonna drop my phone. But who the hell wants to test that out really anyway!

I originally had bought a soft silicon phone holder and while my phone never fell out i was always hyper paranoid that it might, especially as any bump had the phone wobbling. This is NOT an issue with the TruActive holder. It’s easy to angle how you want and the phone stays stationary even on any bump.

By having the hard clips and the silicon straps, i feel content that my phone is completely secure. Having said that, one time i forgot the silicone straps and it stayed secure before i noticed after a couple of miles.

It has a nice smooth action button to release the side clips that to be honest is just cool! And having a selection of coloured silicone straps gives that added level of customisation.

While cycling one day, i actually saw someone else with the same phone holder leading to a shared approving nod – Clearly a sign of quality!

Very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend!

This has to be one of the best products I’ve ever bought. And the fact that one of the employees/employers wrote a postcard and sent it to me indicates the company really cares about the customers is more than enough for me to give five stars for this product. Amazing product, wonderful company. Wish I could give 10 stars.

    NOTICE IMPORTANT:
What I will have to say is, my phone case (from dBrand) got damaged, but it has to do with the case being squashed leading to damage. So, if you have a dBrand case for your phone, if I were you, I’d take it off before I used the bike phone holder.

For me, the phone needs to be rigidly tightened so that the phone wouldn’t get dropped during the bumpy bike journey. And this product meets every single expectation. Just make sure you don’t put the phone case on this product, or else it’ll get damaged. Remove it, apply your phone on this product, and you’re good to go. Hope everyone reads this.

This is a pretty solid holder. Once it’s done up tight on the bars, the adjustment nut tightened and the silicon/rubber cage placed over it, the phone’s definitely not coming off.

My only recommendation for improvement is that the main clamp could be a bit bigger (an alternative product perhaps?) as it turns out my road bike has quite fat bars so I had to place it more off centre than I’d planned, but that’s my fault for not measuring.

If your bars are within spec, it’s a great little holder.

This is the second one of these I have purchased. The first one fitted my older bike. I upgraded and I needed one to fit a thicker handlebar. I then purchased a tandem. So, one is used for the tandem and one for my solo bike. I have had no problems with them. I mainly travel on the road or on tracks in forest parks. There can a little bit of shake on rough ground but it doesn’t work loose. It is easy to adjust and can be removed quickly. You need to be aware of the volume control and power button on your phone to ensure you don’t have any pressure on them from the rubber bands. Not really an issue but I did it a couple of times. Plenty of flexibility built-in anyway.

I bought this phone holder for my wife after she recently took up road cycling. I’d had my eye turned by the quad lock system, but the price of that is astronomical. Looking into alternatives, I found this to be the best of the rest according to the reviews and the price was just perfect.

Fitting the holder is really easy and looks clean and tidy once installed. The clamp that holds the phone in place before using the bands is a lovely mechanism that tightens nicely around your phone and releases so smoothly. You then use one of the six supplied bands to fully secure your phone, aesthetically it’s not quite as nice as the Quadlock, but it’s still a fantastic looking unit.

My wife loves it as she can now use her bike sat-nav as she pedals and she doesn’t get lost like she used to, I thought of knocking off two stars for the extra time I now have to spend with her, but didn’t think that fair on the manufacturers

Golden Review Award: 76 From Our UsersI have had two of these phone mounts for my bikes (I can’t be bothered to swap one over between the road and MTB bikes) for two years, both getting moderate use.

The phone is held securely between ratcheted, padded jaws, and doubly secured with a tough rubber web. A good half dozen or more webs are provided in a spectrum of colours, so you should be able to match your bike, although I suspect they are really there to allow for wear and tear. However, I am still using the webs I put on when I first got the mounts, and they are still good and elastic.

There is also a flip up ledge at the bottom of the phone support – itself a good size – to stop the phone sliding towards your knees. The clamp around the handle bars is good and strong, and two bolts of different lengths along with an extra rubber strip are supplied so I would think most diameters can be accommodated.

I do get a bit of squeaking when riding, especially over rough ground, ie most of the roads round here, but that is more the fault of the gel case on my phone.

I can testify to the security of the clamp, as riding down a rutted farm track between fields last weekend, the top half of the mount came flying off, and my phone ended up fifty yards behind me. It had not budged in the clamp, which had given it some protection, and the gel case did the rest. On examining where the mount had broken, a thin bolt had sheared through. Otherwise, it was ok.

So why five stars, I hear you cry? Well, I contacted the seller, Jones International, and asked if they could supply a replacement bolt. Very soon after, I received a response from Daniel Jones, who advised that a couple of years ago, they had a manufacturer who had not produced to specification or used sub-standard materials – a couple of other reviews mention this.

Daniel also said that he had sent out a replacement of the correct specification, and as I had bought a second mount within a few weeks of the first, would I send him a photo so he could check if that one needed replacing as well!

The replacement mount arrived extremely well packaged today, with a hand-written note of apology for my inconvenience from Daniel.

So despite breaking at a weak point, the mount gets five stars as the general design is good and the clamp held the phone even on a forcible impact. As the vendor, Daniel deserves a good twenty stars for customer service above and beyond the call of duty, or legal requirements, so a huge great thank you, and best wishes to him and his business – long may he prosper. And no, I am not a relative!

Feels really secure on my bike. I use a mountain bike over rough terrain and this holder has not let me down with an iPhone 11Pro.
Only slight issue is the holder moves position slightly and I need to prop it back up – the adjustment knob is as tight as I could get it. It’s not a huge issue, it won’t fall off or drop the phone, just noting it as part of a fair review.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI spent ages looking for a decent phone holder to secure my iPhone 11 Pro Max (not a small phone!) to my bike. I can’t remember where I saw this recommended but it was very reasonably priced compared to options like Quad Lock and looked very secure. It turned out to be exactly what I wanted!
It’s very easy to fit (I tried it in a few places on my bike before settling for middle of my bars) and once properly tightened it’s very secure. It holds my phone tightly and I like the added piece of mind of the elastic webbing thing round the corners of my phone as well. When out riding the phone is held very securely with minimal vibration, surprising for such a big phone, but remains easily accessible and the screen clear to follow navigation. I’m very pleased with it, and contemplating a second one for my indoor exercise bike as well.

What was also a lovely touch was receiving a hand written card a few weeks after purchase from the manufacturer asking whether I was happy with the holder. The personal touch is underrated these days and it shows the company clearly care that their product is well received. In this case I’m happy to confirm it is.

Excellent, easy to fit and very secure

This holder has a both a “squeeze hold” mechanism and a rubberised wrap. I don’t know how it would hold up off road, but for established roads/trails it appears substantial enough. It fits my motorcycle handle bars well but unsure how you would attach using clip ons. No tool install is great however it means anyone looking for a “five finger discount” could just take the item when your back was turned for more than minute. Obviously don’t leave your phone or gadget unattended. It does not give any security in this regard but it will “hold” your device securely. Overall, for my needs it’s perfect and I would have given 5stars but for the said reasons it gets a 4. It needs to be anti-theft/tamper friendly.. or perhaps I need to stop hanging around with undesirables?!

It’s a reliable and sturdy product that has exceeded my expectations. It’s easy to install and is customisable with the different colour bands included in the kit. I was also impressed at the haste at which it arrived, being delivered just a few days after I placed my order (which by royal mail standards is brilliant!).
But what really struck me, besides the simple, yet effective craftsmanship. Was the beautiful hand written postcard I recieved in the post thanking me for my purchase. It would have been very easy to send an email or even not bother! Afterall they had recieved my payment and I was happy with their product. But the seller took time out of their day to write to me personally. Underlining the fact that the seller genuinely values their customers and wants the very best for them!

… Should I ever break/ wear out the current product, I will not hesitate to buy from them again.

Such a simple design but a good design. Easy to mount and dismount my phone. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and the 1st time using this holder I was a little worried but fear not my iPhone is still in one piece and I have had no worrying issues since. It holds the phone really well and with the rubber straps it an extra piece of mind and imo it’s these straps that are the key to this design. I wouldn’t like to say that the holder alone would hold your phone securely over rough terrain but I suppose this is where the straps come into place. I’m sure there are better built/quality phone holders out there but this does the job. My cycle routes involve road, dirt tracks and canal paths mainly and the mount is doing its job very well. If I thought (not going to try) that the phone holder alone could keep my phone safe with out the use of the rubber straps then it would be a all round 5 stars (maybe it can?). I would recommend this product.

The product has been described precisely, it was delivered on time in a good box that contained clear instructions also picture diagrams. The holder can accommodate any phone and includes a base support that folds outward at the bottom. The bright coloured bands seem thin but are really strong. I did not fancy the pink and would have loved to have green as a substitute, hence 4/5 ( sorry if I come across mean… But maybe a second choice of colours maybe purple also navy or green instead of pink yellow ?) Nice to have alternative colours to use though.
I had been looking for a holder that I could trust to put my phone on and it would not fall off… this is it.
It’s sturdy, compact and easy to fit.
The product ticks all the boxes and I like the customer support follow up.
    Thank you

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersI ride a motorbike pretty much every day in central London (or did prior to covid) and wanted a phone holder primarily for satnav. I wanted something very simple and flexible that would tilt in any direction and attach easily to different sizes of tubing. The adjustable side grips hold the phone in place pretty well but the flexible rubber mesh that holds the corners in place is a masterstroke – there is no way that the phone could fall off and it would be very hard for a passing thief to grab the phone. The phone is open to the elements when in the cradle but I don’t think that matters as most modern phones can cope with a few drops of rain and rain covers are a pain to take on and off. I leave it attached to the bike permanently. It takes about quarter of a second to put the phone in or take it out. I still use it all the time several months on and would definitely buy the same product again having tried a couple of inferior models previously. Truactive are a small family run business and worth supporting.

The product is really good, now that I’ve had it for a while, the build quality is very solid and the mount works perfectly as intended, the clasps are very well thought out, they don’t interfere with the screen even on a phone with a curved screen like the Samsung Galaxy S10. The rubber bands also don’t interfere with the usage of the screen and add extra security to the phone however I truly believe that even without them the mount hold well enough to never have to worry about the phone dropping, Fitment is great, all the joints hold tightly and haven’t come loose over time. I’m using this on a motorbike and even going on the motorway it didn’t budge, the bar mount works like any other, and is pretty simple to put on and remove, my only complaint is that with the way the screw goes in by default it prohibits the angle of the mount because it’s blocked by the triple tree of the bike. however, you can turn the screw around so the knob faces upwards to fix this, there is no indent for the hext screw, but I still managed to tighten it using only my hands and it didn’t come loose. I honestly think giving this extra 5-10 over some of these super cheap mounts is worth it for the amazing quality you get. In terms of holding your phone and build quality this easily competes with the likes of RAM mount for a quarter of the price. 5/5

When looking for a phone holder for my bicycle, I wanted to make sure it would very securely hold the phone in place. After the simple installation, I placed my phone in and could tell straight away I wouldn’t have to worry about it falling out. You first lock it into place using the adjustable sides, and then you pull the four corners of the rubber grip over the edges of the phone. This method provides a tight grip from all angles of the phone, so it will never start to slip in a certain direction.

The holder comes with a pack of six different coloured rubber grips, which was nice as I was able to colour match it to my bike. I have only used it with one phone at the moment (OnePlus 5T), but it is adjustable to hold any reasonably sized phone with ease.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat product for the price; I’ve been through a fair few similarly-priced alternatives as motorcycle phone mounts but this one scores on all fronts.

It’s easy to use, very secure in place (though I have only made one 3.5 hour journey so far, so holding off that fifth star until I have further empirical evidence) and gives easy access to the screen for the modern generation of water resistance phones.

If you (as I did) try to mount it on the screen of a GS, you will need to find some additional padding for the bar mount. I ended up, for expediency, attaching it to the handlebar but will probably move it up to the screen once I’ve concocted a suitable adaptor.

Only caveat is to mind that the clamp doesn’t interfere with the side buttons (but this is straightforward)

This was initially a one-star review because the back plate broke after a week of use. A great accessory while it worked, the back plate snapping was very disappointing.

However, I’ve upgraded it to a five-star review simply because the aftercare service has been outstanding. I wasn’t expecting the manufacturer TruActive to be so pro-active in pursuing their ‘lifetime warranty’ claim, but they went the extra mile at ensuring I was satisfied with their product by providing a replacement. This says a great deal about their confidence in the product, and the fact that it comes with a lifetime warranty. They are clearly confident that this is the best phone holder for a bike on the market, and their excellent response has restored my faith not just in their product, but in basic common business decency in believing in your product enough to put your money where your mouth is. A great company who genuinely believe in their product – if my experience is anything to go by, you can be confident of excellent service.

Pro: I really like this phone holder, being fortunate to live on the isle of man so when weather and road conditions permit I get to drive at speeds in excess of 100mph round the TT course my phone being in my pocket is uncomfortable when your tucked up heading into a corner.
having tried other phone holders I found them too flimsy to hold the phone steady and always feared they would fall out, or the cheap construction would cause it to break at the joints, I have not encountered any of this with the TruActive.

another great thing is that it comes with multiple elastic restraints, this means over time as the elastic becomes brittle (as all elastic does) you can replace them with a new one without having to buy a whole unit.

the holder is big enough to hold my Huawei p30 pro in place (which is also in a tough case) and has enough movement that when I go touring in the UK I can have my sat nav on and visable.

the only thing I would like to see in the future would be two different sizes of phone rest arms (the little fold out bit at the bottom) one for smaller phones 5″ screen and under and one for the larger phones or phones in cases. I found I had to fold the arm up and just use the side clips and elastic restraints to use my large phone in a large tough case.

Top marks to the seller as well, after raising a query with the after sales warranty it was sorted out immediately with no quibble. THANKS!

After testing this for a couple of weeks now, can honestly say that this phone holder works well – It is big enough to hold a Google pixel 3xl with it’s credit card case however going off topic I ditched the case and got a slim silicone one for asthetics (am much happier now)

It works very well, used this on my motorbike, 70mph on the motorway and not even a slight shake!
    – EDIT AT BOTTOM –
The button to reset the arm positioning (they push out slowly as you press the button) no longer works. The arms stopped moving after 3/4 months, you can just press the button and move them yourself though.
Confidence inspiring thing, if I’m ok with my phone doing 70mph stuck to some bike handlebars, I’m sure you’ll be ok with it on a bicycle or motorbike of your own!
    – EDIT –

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersI do a lot of cycling in all weathers, road and off road. Having had a few holders previously I opted for a change for my new phone. Previous (main line brand) holder whilst slim line was fiddly to use (had to remove the phone cover each time I rode) and also did not securely hold the phone (resulted in 1 dropped phone & 1 smashed screen) made me look else where.

I opted for this Truactive holder due to the price and robust appearance. Delivery was quick and ordered 2 for myself and my wife for an upcoming holiday in France where we planned to do plenty of cycling.

Installation was simple on the bike – sits higher than my previous holders – not sure if this is a positive or negative or neither.

Fitting the phone to the holder is easy enough – fits any case and the hydraulic action grip and release is pretty cool. The elastic strapping is fiddly at first but you get used to it… important thing was that it had a good grip of the phone. This was tested on many rough and potholes tracks during my vacation and never gave a hint of letting me down.

Swivel mechanism was easy to use to reposition or orientated the phone. Again feels solid and held the phone in place even over the rough stuff. on the whole there’s a feeling of quality – more than the price suggests.

Nearly 3 weeks of solid cycling on roads, tracks and off road – this holder did the job.

    Very satisfied. Would recommend.

This is the second phone holder from this company. I bought the first one for a motorcycle (Honda CBR500R) and for a bike. I must say that I have been incredibly impressed with this product and its quality. I was worried enormously that my phone would fly off especially on motorways. I can attest that none of that ever happened – even when I once forgot to put the elastic band and only used the side holders.

I have driven with this holder for 4 months now and have been very pleased. Whether driving 20mph or 120mph, the holder has done an amazing job and holding my phone safe. For this price, it really is one of the best products of that type that I’ve ever bought and my second purchase of the identical model is an honest testimony to the quality of the product. Would 100% recommend.

My only recommendation to the producer would be to increase the size of a hole in the bottom unfolding stand – that way, it would be possible to charge the phone whilst using the bottom stand. Other than that, it’s just a 10/10 product.

This mount was easy to fit and provides a secure base for my iPhone XR. The XR is disproportionately heavy for its size but remains securely attached to the Trueactive holder – even on bumpy trails. I was so impressed with mine that my wife bought one too!
I heartily recommend the Trueactive universal bike phone holder. It is far more steady than it looks and somehow the vibrations are damped out.

Somebody gave this item an adverse review having twice broken the plastics nut which locks the swivelling ball. All I can say is that this person must be somewhat ham-fisted.

I accidentally dropped my bike getting it out of the back of the car. I grabbed out instinctively and snatched hold of the phone holder which supported the weight of the whole front end of my bike. No damage at all to the holder or the bike. It must be quite tough.

Super good phone holder, I have a Google pixel 2 and couldn’t find a dedicated phone holder for this for my bike, so I took a chance on this for 15 I think and I wasn’t expecting anything good for 15 just more of it will do for now however six months on its still going strong, hasn’t let me down once, fiits my phone I could even fit a bigger phone. Come with expandable side grips which grips the phone and a flip out stand for the phone to rest on and those two things hold the phone pretty good all by themselves but a extra safety feature is the 4 point elastic grip which hooks over the 4 edges of your phone and literally holds the phone to the holder,I don’t care what bumps you hit or how hard you emergency stop this thing will not let go of your phone. The equivalent quad locks and so on are like 85 + and this is 15, it’s a no brainer and a absolute bargain, durable and easy to use. It’s currently on my Yamaha mt-10 with no problems to report. Had this phone holder for around 3 months now and it’s brilliant! Attached it to my Honda CB500X very quick and easy. It holds my phone (Huawei P20 Lite) with ease, and that’s even when my phone is in a chunky rubber case.

The holder easily expands to well over the width needed to hold a large phone. Once open, place your phone in the middle and then simply press the two sides together and it’ll clasp your phone.

Note: the holder does not have tension springs, so it’s not going to suddenly ping out of the holder. You press it together and it’s design means that the two sides come over the edge of the phone and the seragated edges means it doesn’t move. This is why it’s important to position your phone in the centre and level and simply press the sides in.

It comes with additional rubber bands to keep your phone more secure but I’ve not needed this, plus I find it can interfere with the touch screen if you’re setting up a map before a journey etc. Personal preference as to if you use the bands, you get lots of them included in different colours but not needed.

I’ve driven through pot holes, on gravel, took tight turns, broke harsh, daily travel to and from work, all in all not one problem with this phone holder. You can angle it to any direction also to suit your needs.

5 stars as I’ve had literally no issue, it perfectly does the job and would buy again.

To start with package came nice, tidy and with a number of colour bands to choose from which was nice.

I personally don’t use this on a mountain/roadbike, I use it on my Yamaha motorbike. Its happily had my phone sitting in it at 70mph on East Lancashire Road (A Road) and hasn’t wobbled or vibrated at any point where I’ve felt nervy about it. Obviously don’t do this if your phone isn’t waterproof and you’re doing long distance or questionable conditions but for my use (usually weekend riding with Google Maps) it’s perfect and just what I wanted.

The sellers have been in touch twice since purchase to make sure I was happy with the product which was a nice touch and shows that they really care about your opinion and satisfaction. They’re a small family company and certainately have my seal of approval.

If you’re debating it, just go for it – buy it and write a review of how you feel. You won’t be disappointed

Golden Review Award: 84 From Our UsersI don’t often write reviews unless a product really deserves it but this product needs a mention 🙂 I installed on my bike a couple of weeks ago and I was training for the London to Brighton bike ride in June – the installation is very straightforward. A couple of days after the installation I was involved in a nasty bike accident which resulted in 3 fractures to my cheek, another bike hit me head on with an estimated impact of around 30mph! Once I had come around I inspected my bike and the front wheel was buckled, the handbars were 30 degrees from straight, the bell and mirror had been snapped off but to my surprise my phone was still in the cradle – and undamaged! Up until then I’d done a little offroading and the phone was rock solid in the cradle. I’m really pleased with this, it’s easy to mount, easy to slide the phone in and clearly durable. I’m going to buy another for my golf trolley. In my view you shouldn’t hesitate 🙂

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersReally impressed by this mount. I have been looking for one secure enough to fit on my motorbike and this seems perfect. Secure and folds small when not in use.

I haven’t taken it out riding yet, but fitting was super easy, it’s got two lengths for the screws to secure it, but I the shorter was plenty for my Honda cb8125 bars.

My only improvement would be the option for a slightly smaller plastic nut on the bottom, as I had to trim this down so it didn’t prevent my bike reaching full lock or pinching cables. No real issues doing this though and it likely wouldn’t be an issue on a bicycle or a bigger bike.

    Brilliant mount for my motorcycle

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersExcellent customer service! When I looked at this product at first time I did not like the colourful rubbers which hold your phone in place in the case, so I sent an email directly to the company and they said they cannot replace anything which is already in the box with Amazon but they will send some normal black rubbers for me separately and so they did. I wish every seller would be like this. The product itself is on my E-scooter and I love it! Easy to install and set it up to your best comfort, I have only used it several times but it seems really good. Thank you Jones International Trading Limited for this phone holder. I can only recommend this item for everyone to buy. I have been using the item for almost a year now and it is fantastic!!!

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersA very versatile and easy to use phone holder.
I bought this to go onto my Triumph motorcycle and the fitting was quick, easy and seems very secure. Having then ridden the bike for a couple of hours, the holder kept a firm grip on my phone, without any slippage, even over some pretty horrible bumps in the road.
There is enough adjustment to be able to move the phone around to its optimal location so that the screen is clearly visible. And it’s versatile enough to hold my Galaxy Note 8 comfortably.
All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase and would happily recommend this product to anyone.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI tend not to leave reviews for a product unless they exceed my expectations or severely underperform, happily in this case it’s the former, bought this for using my phone as GPS on my 14 mile commute to work and it really hits the mark, most of my route is speed bumps and hills abd I can happily report that the mount doesn’t move and my phone (pixel 2 XL with case) has stayed secure the whole time, would 100% recommend for London cycling, can’t comment on anywhere else but I would assume it will hold up to anything you can throw at it, customer service not bad either, received a couple of follow up emails to check if it’s was all ok. All in all very satisfied

Golden Review Award: 102 From Our UsersI needed something like this as I have some cycling travel to do for work, and I want to see Google maps via my mobile as well as hearing it. It arrived today, and so as it was a bank holiday I decided to take it out and try one of the routes that I will be doing later this week and see how it fared. I was a little nervous to be honest, in case my phone ( Samsung S8 Plus) fell off and/or became dislodged whilst riding, even checking my contents insurance before I left to see whether my mobile was covered. The route was 8.5 miles, and as roads in Manchester are extremely bad for cyclists and in very bad states of repair generally, there was a lot of ‘juddering’ and bouncing around. However, the mount held up very well for an initial try out, seeming to hold the phone securely in place.
There is an email address with the item, and a request for buyers to contact them if there are any issues with the mount to allow them to sort it out which is slightly reassuring, although this won’t replace my 500 quid handset if need be of course, which is my priority concern. That said, my initial experience is good, and this was/is the most positively reviewed mobile mount I could find on Amazon, so I just hope it lasts, but it’s looking good so far.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI wanted this so that I could do stuff on the phone (duolingo actually!) whilst spinning on a turbo trainer. This works brilliantly for this, even without the bands (of which they supply plenty and work well). I have never really considered mounting the phone on a bike for ‘real’ use before, but having used this I would have no qualms about using it for road work at least. Also they supply two bolts so fitting oversized bars on my carbon bike was accommodated. Bottom line, it works very well
