However…. four months after purchase, the desktop audio has stopped working and won’t record to OBS, and our product tech support through Amazon closed a month ago. Now what?? How can we get the headphone mic to record input?

Has a nice metal turn wheel, but the body is cheap plastic

Breathable ear cushions that’s held together by magnets that can be easily replaced. It is comfortable.

With the app you can unlock more features but I wish they would have allow everything to just from the amp control itself. It’s a bit annoying having to go back and forth with the app.

I’m really glad that I bought this product, You can play for hours and your ears Will still be comfortable with the padding from the headphone. The one thing that you do have to watch with this when you do get it is to make sure the cord to the headphones that plug into the May short out but you can just get a replacement for free.

I was skeptical on buying used but this is in perfect condition. I had a Stealth 700 and it broke. This is wired but ill never have to charge them. The sound is phenomenal. Cords are plenty long. The build quality is great and I think these will last me a very long time

Great sound for whatever you want to use them for: gaming, music, Bluetooth headset for even phone calls. Multi use functionality, plus the mix amp is really nice! This headset is also very comfortable and robust, so it can be long hours with taking wear and tear. Would definitely recommend this headse

One of the best top tier headsets out there

**Make sure you update the mix amp (very easy to do)**
**make sure you turn the sound all the way up on the output on your PlayStation or PC(then control from amp)**
**make sure you toggle the correct system in the app** this is my only complaint that the amp doesn’t auto-switch between PC and PS4 you have to go into the app and toggle the system.

Overall very good headset very good sound quality, loud, and comfortable.
The microphone is also a pass it isn’t going to blow you away with the quality but solid overall

**if opening your phone to change any of this is a deal-breaker you aren’t going to like this amp**
** I have heard of people having Bluetooth issues I have had no issues with Bluetooth**

Things controlled in the Turtle beach app:
The app is very basic; the list of things controlled from the app:
    Game chat sound
    superhuman hearing
lights(not much for lights just color and brightness)
    mic monitoring level
    voice prompt levels
    different EQ’s (pretty basic)
which system you are using (yes you have to switch between PS4 and PC )

The super amp does have Bluetooth so you are able to play music (or any sound) from your phone to the headset on top of your game sound and game chat which is really nice, also you are able to answer phone calls (pretty solid)

upgraded over the Astro a40tr’s, honestly not a huge difference in sound quality it’s mainly they have different EQ’s although I would still recommend over the A40tr’s

Great headset. Only issue was the cord was very hard to keep straight without it twisting and curling. The benefit of the removable microphone was very convenient and it was very high quality. Audio quality was one of the best you can find. If you are looking for a great wired headset this is one I would recommend because of quality at an affordable price!

The quality of these is unmatched. My son was frustrated that they weren’t plug in & play. Does take time to set up for use, read the directions & if those aren’t enough, go online. Can not update firmware from cellphone or tablet, at least I couldn’t. My son uses them wired, so I’m not sure of quality of sound using Bluetooth. However, he does live the crisp sound & I love that he’s not yelling into the mic over & over while playing with his friends!!

A great set of headphones whose sound quality is the best I’ve heard. The external sub really boosts the experience and that’s with never taking the volume over half way. Playing first person shooters with these has changed the game for me entirely. I would in future love to see a wireless version of these but can understand there’s a lot of power needed to drive the sub and to connect to the earphones.

Overall a fantastic pair of headphones .

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought and struggled with the then 300 pound Elite Pro 1 as it was great playing games but sucked playing music or films. The sound was muffled in action partts and music was muffled if past 50% volume level.
Anyways I decided to try the Elite Pro 2 fingers crossed but it had some of the same [roblems until I updated firmware and BINGO it all fell into place with perfect sound on films games and music and a lovely phone app to control it all.
Also I even managed to get it hooked upto my p.c. and change between PS4 pro and P.C. with a flick of my option in the app.
So many changes for the better from magnetic ear pieces making them easy to take off and side panels all for individual taste (I hope they make alot of diff ones) not used but configured the mic as this purchase is mainly for the division 2
    Thank you Turtle Beach

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMuy ligeros, cmodos.

There’s no question that this is a pricey headset, which most people will be hard pushed to justify. Not being a pro gamer myself, I can’t really evaluate them in terms of a pro-gamer’s needs.

First off, the good stuff. In terms of materials and comfort, these headphones are excellent, they look their price, with the cool metal head band and the generous padding, which is firm but comfortable. The cover plates on the earpieces are held on by a set of magnets, so they can be swapped out for custom versions (when they’re released) to personalise your look and complete the pro vibe.

Sound quality is top notch across the range, with wonderfully rumbly bass on explosions and clean high frequencies. They beg to be used for listening to music or watching films the sound is so good. The mic appears to be good too, with great flexibility in positioning and enough muffling to damp out breathing sounds and harsher consonants, but I didn’t find it extraordinary. Then again, the audio often gets compressed to death going through the servers, so I didn’t really expect miracles.

I like wired headphones since you know you’ll not have issues of sound quality or connectivity associated with Bluetooth, and it pays off here, but it is a great point that you can also use these with Bluetooth for playing on mobile devices or listening to music. They’re not powered, though (no batteries), so you can’t use them in the street.

Now on to the niggles. The adjustment on my left earpiece is a little loose, moving up/down the notches a little too freely, which is a disappointment given the cost. It doesn’t cause issues once installed, but whenever I put the headphones on it will extend and need popping back up again.

The mute switch is on the wire close to the headset, which makes it accessible, but not instantly so. If you need to mute/unmute a lot then it might be an issue where it is. A button on one of the earpieces would have made the mute easier to find in a pinch. Likewise for the volume control, which is via the big knob on the audio hub. It’s a strange place to put it, especially if you can’t keep the hub close to hand.

Whilst talking of the hub, it is a weird thing overall. I understand the thinking behind it – a firmware updatable ‘box’ that can be used to modify you configuration or add features over time is a cool idea, but it just doesn’t feel finished. First, you need to use an app on your phone or PC to configure it, but that seems like a lot of effort given the options available. Despite spending an afternoon trying, I failed to get the Windows 10 app to connect to the hub on a PC. I installed all the drivers, updated the firmware, tried all the connection settings under the sun, but it wouldn’t find the hub.

Inversely, if you use the phone based app, you can’t update the hub’s firmware at all. I believe I succeeded in updating on the PC (it went through the motions), but I have my doubts on whether it actually did it (though I’ve stopped getting the prompts that my firmware is out of date). This is synonymous with the experience of using the hub, it doesn’t work as expected and is a poor user experience from end to end. The only big win I have had using the app to configure the hub is to turn off the hub’s lighting, which is wayyyy too bright. Have the hub on the desk next to you (to tweak the volume) in a darkened room and it will outshine your screen. It is stupidly bright. Luckily you can turn the light off completely or put it into ‘Stealth’ mode, where it only lights up when in use, via the app.

I’m sure the hub will make sense at some point, but right now you have to wonder why it is there, outside of being an oversized volume control and Bluetooth receiver. I will admit I didn’t try ‘Super hearing’ yet, as the sound is good enough to make it seem pointless.

That said, the hub does provide a good place for all your various connections. Just for info, this PS4 headset will work on an Xbox One S or X, but purely as headphones, if you use the optical audio connection via the hub. You’ll need the USB connection too, but just to provide power, since the microphone signal isn’t compatible. This suggests that Turtle Beach could have made a single headset that works on both consoles via a switch in the app (similar to PC/PS4 switching), but I suspect licensing it with Sony and Microsoft might have been the sticking point with that. Hard to know for sure.

To sum it all up, this headset has awesome sound quality, very good (but not faultless) build and future looking features which will (hopefully) keep it relevant for some time. It caters to personalisation, covers the needs of people with glasses and offers a fair few connectivity options. What really lets it down are the hub apps, which don’t work as well as you would expect and don’t (yet) provide the value they promise. Updating the firmware has proved to not be as reassuring as I’d like (I’ve experienced firmware update crashes in my life, bricking my gear) and some of the general ergonomy feels a little off.

I’m awarding 4 stars because most of the key promises are met, with great sound and a level of comfort that will cover you for hours of gaming, but all the little fails combine to knock 1 star off of the overall rating. If Amazon allowed half-points of scoring, I’d maybe even go down as low as 3.5 stars, mostly because of the lousy apps.

    Points faibles;
    – L’obligation de passer par une application.
    – Pas de voyant de rappel de coupure du micro… quand je rpond au tlphone, je commence parler avec le micro coup :o(
    – Sur mon iPhone, au moment de prendre un appel, il faut basculer le son vers le SuperAmp avec l’option “Audio Bluetooth” sur l’cran d’appel
    – Le confort sur de longues priodes.

Ordinateur ET smartphone... EN MEME TEMPS !

    Awesome!
The Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 Gaming Headset Plus SuperAmp is a new experience that tops any Headphone set I know.

The ergonomic design allows for comfort and is even comfortable with Glasses. The ear cushions are made of air sponge and the lining is very comfortable so much so that it’s easy to forget that you have this Headphone on your head.

The Headphone is also extendable catering for a comfortable fit.
One big advantage for Gamers is the crystal clear surround sound that allows you to know what direction the enemy is coming from enabling quicker interception.

The built-in Mic is also perfectly crisp and clear and performs professionally.
The Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 Gaming Headset also comes with a Companion App that allows the “Super Amp” to perform brilliantly.

The Super Amp device comes with an Audio Dial that can be adjusted whilst gaming because of the Bluetooth Technology, no need to pause your Game to make adjustments!

The Stream Output on the Super Amp enables perfect Audio quality, another big Plus.

This is a Headphone set that enables “Super Human Hearing,” and is very much ahead of it’s game.
In short, I am so impressed with this exciting, innovative breakthrough in Technology.

The Headphones and Super Amp come in a sturdy well presented Box and also comes with A Turtle Beach help card where you will find details that will give you support and help if required.

    I thoroughly recommend this product!

I set this Turtle Beach headset up with my PS4. It wasn’t difficult to get up & running even though there is extra cabling compared to simpler headsets. Once you’re connected to the “superamp” and the PS4 you’re basically good to go. One of the first things I noticed is that this is a VERY comfortable headset, one of the nicest I’ve ever used. I don’t have very long gaming sessions because I suffer from migraines, but if I did I think these would be comfortable for wearing for extended sessions.

Sound quality feels very high end, allowing you to pick up on even the tiniest of in-game sounds & effects – giving a small but significant advantage in multiplayer gaming. The microphone is less hard to judge as I can’t hear the output at the other end, but other players don’t seem to have any trouble hearing me, probably helped by the built in mic-volume adjuster. Highly recommended, but maybe only worth it if you’re serious about multi-player gaming.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThese are by far the best gaming headphones I’ve used in terms of audio quality. I’ve used a few others (including the PS branded headset, which wasn’t bad at all for the price), but these are my favourite.

The set-up is straightforward. There are a few wires to plug in (there is a hub that plugs into the optical out and the USB port of the PS4 plus a wire for the headphones themselves) but once everything is plugged in it just works.

Quality is amazing. I can really hear every detail in the game. I can hear the difference between various weapons as they’re fired. In Red Dead 2 I can hear the subtle changes in the sound made by the horse as it changes speed and moves over varying terrain.

I’m able to locate items in the world by sound alone (quite handy when things don’t appear on a mini-map, or if it’s a rival player/enemy). There’s also background noises I had never noticed before that are now coming through clearly and distinctly.

The wires that trail over the floor aren’t always something I can have (if the kids are running around). To compromise I plug the headset into the DualShock controller instead of the hub. The audio then comes through via the controller’s Bluetooth instead. This definitely has a negative impact on audio quality, but it’s not that bad and sometimes just worth the compromise. Overall the sounds are a little closer and harder to individually identify, but it’s still very usable. The biggest drop is with the mic quality. It’s great when set-up properly, but when using it through the controller the quality drops noticeably. I take this as a sign of just how good this headset is when set-up properly though. You’re never going to get as good a quality over Bluetooth as you do with cables.

Build quality is great too. It feels very robust with a metal headband and nice quality plastics and foam used. It’s also very comfortable to wear. I’ve done a few 2-3 hour sessions and not had any feeling of discomfort.

Overall an amazing headset that genuinely adds to the level of immersion felt when playing. I certainly believe that it adds to me being more competitive in online multiplayer games. I highly recommend them.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI am using these for PC gaming and love them. The amp is connected to the computer via USB (USB A on the computer, mini-USB on the amp) and then the headset is connected to the amp with two 3.5 mm headphone jacks. This is a standard connector but the headphone connection is a bit recessed so you need a narrow connector on that side. Lastly, the microphone attaches to the headset using a 2.5 mm recessed jack that also holds it mechanically. The microphone bends easily and can be adjusted easily.

These are my first headset specifically for gaming – I used to use over-the-ear headset with microphone that was geared towards audio and handled phone calls on my phone well. I didn’t know what I was missing until I put these on.
The spatial field is well defined; I can hear distinct sounds and generally from where they are coming. It is “gaming sound” in that it is edgy and intense – not “rich and bassy” like you might want with music. It does feel like the sound is clearer.

These are large and a bit boxy looking, but very comfortable and do a great job isolating outside sounds. The feedback from the microphone is great (I don’t shout as much!) and I am overall very happy with these.

The amp has a Bluetooth feature where you can connect your phone or whatever to it and it plays along with the game sounds. I find that distracting so I don’t use it much.

We didnt find these difficult to set up it’s just a matter of what cable goes in which port ,It connects easily to both the pc and the ps4 pro, most of the settings for the sound are found in the ios app which is easy to use. The earphones themselves have to be the most comfortable I have ever worn with deep memory foam cups and no pressure on my glasses at all , the styling of them is very good I especially like the metal band and they look and feel like quality.Microphone sound is clear and its great to be able to detach it when not needed.
however the selling point for me of turtle beach is the sound ,no one in game will sneak up on you ,its extremely clear and multi directional with every last detail audible with good separation . Top marks .

It took me a good hour to wire this all up. On the PS4 you connect the Elite SuperAmp to your Digital Optical port. But with the PS4 Slim you don’t have that port so it connects through a USB port. The optical cable does have little white plastic nubs on the end. They need to come off before plugging in. You then also have an other usb cable going from your PS4 to your Elite SuperAmp, this is for power. Once you have done all that and everything is wired up its connecting you phone to the Elite SuperAmp via bluetooth. That was incredibly simple thing to do.

The headphones have this great small tab in the cushions that you can tighten that pulls the foam so your glasses don’t press agains your head. For someone who wears glasses this is such a simple thing but makes playing for a few hours far more comfortable. The cushions are held on buy magnates and are easy to remove and replace back.

If your PS4 is the other side of the room The cable length of the 2.5mm headphone cable is just not long enough. You do have a button on the headset which mutes the headphones. The cables for the Elite SuperAmp are long enough to move to be close to you. But still its more cables across the room.

Sound is great, fantastic but on my first try out I was getting the sound through my tv and my headphones. After playing with all the setting. All I had to do was turn the volume of me tv off. Doh! With my phone connected to the Elite SuperAmp via bluetooth I can play music while Im playing through the same headphones. It will cut out when there is voice instructions i.e. Call of Duty when you picking say a air strike the music will cut out while it tells you then come back in. You can control every thing from you phone when you download the Turtle Beach app. I think I really need to play with the headphones and controls there is so much you can fine tune. You can set the volume form first person shooter to driving. Pick and choose you output as in Bass boost, Bass and Treble boost, vocal boost and custom your own personal.

These headphone have a hell of a lot functions and it may take you time to get your setting just as you like them. But once you do you really can’t fault them. Only down side is defiantly that it is wired. If this all worked with bluetooth it would be 100% perfect.

Based on my gaming equipment and experience – the Elite Pro 2 are a pretty spectacular set of headphones. Removed from the nice packaging – they look great and feel like a solid quality product.
Unable to test with a PS4 (recently departed back to university) I use them with a PC. They can be used with a direct wire connection – 3.5mm jack – or, probably more usefully, via the Elite “SuperAmp”.
For a PC setup this is connected via a USB cable to the PC – and the headset via 3.5mm jack to the SuperAmp. Other options are available when connecting to a PS4. What is the SuperAmp…? You can connect – via Bluetooth – using the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app. I’ve only used the iOS version – not the Android one. Once connected to the SuperAmp – the app allows access to loads of different settings. For example you can change the “Surround Mode” – Game, Movie, Music and Stereo. Try them – they sound rather different. There are a number of other settings which can be adjusted to your ideal values. Once set up and connected, and firmware updated, it worked well. It also allows a Bluetooth audio connection to a phone – but note that still requires the wired link between the AudioHub and the headphones.

Sound quality – very good. Good for games, music and movies. Very comfortable to wear (also with glasses – as advertised) the ears are completely covered with the headphones – external sounds are very much cut out allowing for clear audio even when it is at a pretty low level.

The detachable microphone is neat. It is flexible and can be adjusted to a good position for use. I do not use a microphone in games (PUBG – no mic, and mute all that babble). However if you play any squad games it’s going to be useful. I’ve used it to make and receive calls (mobile connected via Bluetooth the SuperAmp) – works well.

These are expensive headphones – and there are plenty of alternatives for less. That said their quality and functional options pretty much justify their price if you’re an avid gamer. Once purchased you are unlikely to be changing them for a good few years.

    [Update] Some time later…
Thanks to an unfortunate incident on a plane – the wired 3.5mm jack was broken. I was unable to replace it via the Turtle Beach UK. However the support team were really helpful and arranged for a replacement to be shipped to me after some minor emailing back and forth.

Using these with my PC. Easy to set up, plugged in the superamp thingy and drivers were automatically installed. Plug in the headphones to the superamp and off we go. Sound quality is incredible, you’ll struggle to beat it. Comfort is good, have worn them for 2+ hours straight without any issues. I also like that the mic is detachable.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo, I have been disappointed with the last couple headsets that I got from Turtle Beach. I found them to be quite uncomfortable after extended periods of use. However, the Elite Pro 2 breaks the mold, they have been incredibly comfortable every time that I use them. Even while using glasses!

The sound of these headsets are great, I found it to be rich with a pretty spectacular dynamic range for a pair of gaming headsets. If you do not like the way it sounds, I have good news for you! Utilizing Bluetooth technology you can alter the EQ of the headset via the APP. In fact, there are quite a bit of different options you can change via the App like the Dynamic Chat Boost. Also, if you have the headset connected to the SuperAmp (Which you don’t need to to use the Headset), you can stream calls and music to the headset.

As a streamer, the highlight is the SuperAmp. It is able to stream both your chat and the party chat out to your streaming setup. It is incredibly convenient.

These headsets warrant a big price tag, is it worth it? Well, for a streamer I think these are great. Why? Well, they have a good microphone and the SuperAmp is perfect for getting your chat audio on the Stream. I don’t think these are good for the casual gamer, there are better Wireless options available. However, this isn’t aimed at them anyways. Streamers and those aspiring to be competitive can benefit from the enhanced audio and “streamer” specific features.

The Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 wired gaming headset and SuperAmp are, quite simply, outstanding. The well-built, adjustable band makes the headset very comfortable to wear and does not feel heavy. The memory foam ear cushions provide passive noise isolation though they can get a bit warm when worn over an extended period. They are easily removed for cleaning or for replacement when/if that time comes. For those of us who wear glasses, Turtle Beach has incorporated their “ProSpecs Glasses Relief System” which allows an adjustment in the ear cushion which makes such a welcome difference in comfort level.
The ‘superhuman hearing’ option provides 360 sound and clearly picks out footsteps, weapon reloads, approaching vehicles etc giving a truly immersive experience. The pro gaming microphone with flexible boom has Truspeak technology which means you have crystal clear communication. I would prefer the mute button to be on the amp instead of the cord but this is just a personal preference. The SuperAmp is smaller than the previous tactical audio controller and has a scrolling wheel. It connects to your phone via Bluetooth while the app allows you to customise your sound, stream music and take/make calls using your headset even if it is plugged into something else.
Finally, although the Elite Pro 2 are compatible with both the PS4 and PC, my review is primarily based on use with the PS4 for gaming. I also enjoyed streaming music from my phone – the quality of sound/surround sound was fantastic compared to my usual ear buds though the headset is slightly too big for everyday listening while commuting/walking etc!! It is obvious that this Turtle Beach product has been well researched and designed to provide an excellent gaming experience and is definitely a step up again from earlier models – delighted with these and, though expensive, would highly recommend. 5*

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIch verwende den Kopfhrer in erster Linie am PC, welcher eine
entsprechende Soundkarte besitzt.
funktionieren in beide Richtungen absolut hervorragend.
Also weder Vor- noch Nachteil.
    keine besseren Kopfhrer in Gebrauch!

These headphones are amazing. I’m a new gamer and it’s like I’m in the middle of each game I try. One other excellent use of these headphones is listening to music as I blog or Facebook. The headphones are advertised as for a specific game but my son fixed it so I can use them on my computer without the game platform.
The sound quality is amazing. I recommend these to gamers.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersEstrenados hoy, me han encantado.

    L'audio coinvolgente e perfetto

Ihr wisst was Gamer wnschen.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery comfortable and worth the price but I wish they would have a model that works for all platforms……

I bought the PS4 version but I have used them for both the Xbox one and PS4 and honestly it’s taking me to the next level of actually feeling in the game. The App is awesome to play with and will suit anybodys needs.

I also have seen people report about the volume being too low on Xbox and I can say that these things are LOUD. There’s Xbox settings to adjust the volume so people shouldn’t be having that problem unless it’s something about the Xbox one version of the Pro 2s.

If you’re just buying for one platform, this headset won’t disappoint, but overall I am very happy with my purchase.

FYI: Turtle Beach just release the SuperAmp that comes with these as a standalone product for $150 on their site. Seems to be a bit overpriced.

I’m using these on my PC as these headphones are both PS4 and PC compatible.
Installation was simple enough. Plugged in the Superamp to my USB port and Windows 10 automatically installed the drivers. Plug the headset into the superamp and that’s it really.
The superamp has a knob for volume or use the PC control panel.
Using the headset like this was perfectly fine if a little quiet volume wise.
I have however plugged mine directly into my AV amp (you can’t use the mic doing this) and I must say the sound quality is outstanding.
Crisp, clear with a bass that doesn’t boom. I prefer them to my Sennheiser HD599.
If I could make one improvement it would be the ability on a PC to plug the headphones into the headphone socket of my PC and the MIC in with a supplied adapter rather than having to use the superamp dongle on the PC.
Yes you can buy them for 6 here on Amazon but it’s an oversight I think.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersTurtle Beach Elite Pro 2 con Super Amp (Ps4 – Ps4 Pro – Pc)

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersNon son cuffie per pivelli queste qui ragazzi!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBefore you read further. These do not get really loud on Xbox. I messed with the settings and if you want to loud sound on Xbox this is not for you. Not sure if this is due to the settings or something Xbox is doing. However when used directly on a PC and/or phone I could get the volume high enough that it would probably cause hearing damage. I am ok with the volume on Xbox, but more serious gamer young adult would prefer that they could be louder.

First, you can use this without the amp just like a set of regular headphones (it has a 3.5mm plug so can plug into anything that takes that plug). I used them to actually listen to a podcast (sacrilege!) to test out the glasses relief feature and sound so that I could wear them for a long time. The glasses feature is really quite wonderful, on the back of the ear cushions (pull them off, they are magnetic!) is a little tab that looks like a tiny little belt. There is a plastic post that the last hole is on. Pull up the rubber belt and tighten it over the peg to make a channel in the foam that your glasses earstems can fit through. After four hours they were still comfortable.

I like that the earcups are easily removable, both for cleaning and perhaps in the future for replacement. I get tired of headphones where the covering starts flaking off over time. These are comfy, they do not feel hot and sticky. They are supposed to have cooling gel, and they do seem cooler than other headsets.

The amp is that circular thing you see in the photo that is lit up. It has volume control, USB plug, headset plug and an audio out. You can connect to it via Bluetooth with your phone or other device (I did so with a Moto G and a Samsung tablet) with an app. Once you do that you can control mic monitoring (hearing yourself in the set) something called Superhuman hearing, which seems to boost noises from the game. This surprising useful, I did not realize how much input come in through sound. You can also hear if you are getting a call (answer too if you want, the person on the other end did not know I was on a headset). You can choose the mix between game and chat volume via a slider bar. You can also do stuff like change the color on the amp.

A more serious gamer family member found that the audio was much crisper, which he found to be an advantage when playing as he could hear sounds more clearly than in a fifty dollar headset with 40mm speakers. This was when playing on a PC.

The mute button is on the cable. I like it better when you can flip your mic or have a button on the side of the headset.
The mic is removable and is listed as a unidirectional gaming microphone in the specs. The noise canceling works fairly well, a fan running in the background was eliminated (which is was not in cheaper headsets)

The plates on the outside also are magnetic and removable because apparently later you will be able to buy other plates.

They boast that they go from 12 Hz to 20Khz rather than the typical 20Hz and up. This does not impress me as most of the 18/19 year olds in my physics class can only hear down to about 30Hz and up to about 19,000 Hz. So producing sounds outside of the realm of human hearing is perhaps not all that exciting. Perhaps there is some other reason for this (like resonance). The 50mm speakers are fantastic, deep bass and no rattling or static.

It come with a Headset Audio Cable, Optical Cable and Mini USB Power Cable.

These are a really nice headset. I do think some changes should be made, fixing whatever the issue is with Xbox sound level, putting the mute somewhere easier to find than the cord.

Do not get loud on Xbox, loud on PC and phone. Very comfortable, especially if you wear glasses.

You can use this without the amp, and you can even use it on your xbox, and my husbands was particularly happy with how versatile this was and immediately used it on his computer. A lot of fun how flexible it is in its use.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI really like this headset. This is a good headset for the casual gamer. It is really comfortable, and it has great sound. I like the addition to where you can hook your phone up to the head set through bluetooth to play music and take phone calls. I also feel like this headset is louder than the previous edition, as i can completely tune out my loud house . My only problem with this head set is that the mute button is not on the amp. It is kind of a hassle to go to mute on the cord. I also preferred the actual TAC that the last edition offered because it was more convenient to have everything in front of me rather than having to unlock the phone and ect. However, the Turtle beach hub app is easy to use and comes with some cool customization. I did find it easier to customize the sound that i wanted using the app rather than trying to guess the presets on the last edition. Overall i am pleased with the purchase.
