I don’t know what I’d do without this scooter. Totally worth the buy
Good little bike it helps you get around when no weight bearing after a ankle operation not suitable for outside use not sturdy enough on uneven ground but great around the house
Ideal to suit my needs
Sturdy and easy to use
I used this for a foot operation and would recommend
Great product would prefer better wheels to use outdoors as well. They do one with better wheels but not worth paying over 100 more should come as standard
Does exactly what I bought for.Slot of people don’t know about these knee scooters.Brilliant idea
Very easy to assemble, one push-in fastening and three chunky knobbed bolts, no tools needed. Adjustable for height, robust and stable in use. Sensible lock-on brakes. Useful bag for handlebar stem provided but I have replaced that with a solid wire basket from an old mobility buggy which enables carrying food and drink in suitable containers. When sitting, the transverse depression in the knee trough allows the aid to be used as a rest to elevate a leg.
An absolute lifesaver the negativity and hopelessness of a broken ankle were reversed with this device.
I bought this after 2 weeks of struggling with my crutches following an ankle fracture and surgery. The crutches were destroying my wrists and arms. The scooter means I can get around the house easily, allows me to stand in the kitchen to prepare food and carry things. Gives you some independence and has helped me mentally during the month I had to be non-weight bearing. I haven’t taken it outside much because I have a flight of stairs ti get out the house but it is easy to fold, would likely still need some assistance to get it in and out a car for example. Worth the money to make what could be a miserable time a bit more bearable
great to use when you get use to it, easy to assemble and fold down recommended
I can not fault this little scooter, it’s very neat and light weight, and perfect for me, i dont have a big house and was worried it may be to clumsily, but its excellent.
I dont think I would have managed on crutches as I’m non weight bearing.
Excellent value for money.
Very handy for getting about the house on flat surfaces. However, not stable enough to cope with uneven surfaces outdoors as the wheels are to close together. Indoors, it enables you to do jobs standing up which would not be feasible sitting in a wheelchair. Ideally you will need an able-bodied person to turn it round for you so you can return to your wheelchair.
The product is easy to assemble and just fantastic to use so much easier than a Zimmer frame
Definitely recommend
My reason for using this scooter; I had an operation on my tendon on my foot / leg so couldn’t put on any pressure on that foot . Found it difficult with the crutches so my husband ordered me the scooter . Have not looked back it has enable me to get on with life – don’t know what I would have done without it – you feel very stable and balanced while on it . Which s not how you feel while using crutches . Would recommend it to anyone who has injured their foot .
This has been a G/d send since the operation on my foot (non weight baring) It has helped me getting around the house, although getting in and out of the house is another story! I think in hindsight though, it would have been better to have bought the”All Terrain” one as it’s hard to manoeuvre on the pavements and grass. All in all a great purchase!
Really sturdy, easy to use, modern styling, made me mobile again!
I don’t know how I could’ve coped without this when I was hit by a car and broke my lower foot in 3 places. Really easy to assemble and take apart when travelling by car. Sturdy and stable. Only problem is that turning circle is massive but I suppose that’s for stability and safety reason. Slightly high price compared to similar products
Absolute life changer. Uses a fair bit of energy but it has allowed me to visit my mum in hospital. Very easy to use, the bag is great and is easily detached. Folds to go into the car.
Highly recommend for anyone with leg injuries/ fractures . It has given me independence in the house to allow me to teach the kitchen snd make a drink in a flask. Not great on uneven surfaces but wouldn’t expect it to be. These need greater awareness as many people do not know these are out there.
I was put off cheaper knee scooters by horror stories of broken welds etc. So bought this. I have gout in my ankle so can’t do anything with it and the swing back and forth on crutches hurts. With this I can stop trying to get around the house on my office chair and I feel much more mobile and capable. I want to give it 5 stars but I do have one criticism and that’s the turning circle, it would be nice to be able to make the admittedly safe angles optional with a screw or pin that can be removed for moving around a small flat. If you’re using it outside it won’t be an issue, but beware the bumps as the wheels are solid
Very handy additional mobility during the non-weight bearing period following lower leg/ankle surgery – the brake lock facility allows for the making of tea/coffee and even the occasional washing up! Would certainly recommend as an alternative to hobbling around on crutches in the early stages of recovery.
Would not recommend to anyone,Hardly any steering manoeuvring and wheels so cheap and plastic that brakes don’t even pull properly, also knee pad isn’t designed for anyone under 5 ft 6 as too high to put knee on,don’t see how this item has passed all health and safety checks
The scooter has changed the dynamic of having a broken leg. I’m able to move around with ease. The feature of a groove in the seat for a leg rest is brilliant. I only had the accident a week ago but it truly has made the past week easy. As the weeks go on a truly feel I will be in better place by having the scooter. Best thing I have bought. Can’t wait for full cast so I can go shopping with it. Totally recommend super easy to put together.
Great product.. I broke my foot and couldnt use crutches they are so unstable and I was scared to move..this walker allowed me to move around the house with confidence, also made me bend my knee which kept that leg from becoming stiff also being upright meant I wasn’t leaning sideways and putting pressure on my other hip and leg..I had to non weight besr for 8 weeks after surgery and this saved me mentally and physically!
Really strong sturdy walker. My 74 Yr old dad has recurring gout that warrants owning this item rather than renting one. During this Covid 19 epidemic we have peace of mind that he can get around the house during isolation. He loves it. Thank you.
Absolutely brilliant. Very easy to use. Has enabled me to do a lot more for myself.
After braking my ankle I could not get on with crutches so invented in the scooter great loved it got around the house with out all that hopping would highly recommend
Sturdy construction, comfortable knee pad, good brakes and very handy bag.
This walker was way better than I expected for the price… it’s been a life saver (literally as I kept falling using crutches) It gave me back my confidence to move around and therefore my independence.
Only con… no suspension so quite bumpy outside. Fine for indoor use.
This is an absolute godsend, I fractured by lower right leg, had it repaired with lots of pins and screws. Also fractured metarsals in left foot. This item is my freedom, I can get to the loo and no bedpan. They gave me crutches but fell over 4 times with them. I also purchased the sheepskin knee seat, really useful. The turning circle is not great, you have to be careful going over obstacles as it can become unstable. If you have a lower leg injury buy yourself this item. It gives you back some dignity, they should give them out in the NHS, this item is so much safer. Thank you so much to whoever invented this, I think you have stopped worse re accidents happening as well as saving my ego and mental health.
Absolute god send! After having major ankle surgery I’d purchased a wheelchair but felt so reliant on others!
Got my scooter and it’s amazing!!!!! Get some funny looks but also have so many people commenting on what a fabulous, clever piece of kit it is!!
I couldn’t be without it now!
Love i
I’m due to have foot surgery and am unable to use crutches/frame as I have arthritis in my hands. I had seen this scooter and wondered if it was any good for me. I did some research and realised it would be a great alternative, and give me some mobility and freedom back. I am thrilled with it and am currently “practicing” with it.
Brilliant item, easy to assemble and don’t know how people just get by using crutches, this gave me so much freedom and flexibility, able to stand and use my hands able to manouvre from seat to seat without asking for any help, this is a godsend for anyone suffering from a lower leg disability!! My problem was an achilles tendon operation putting me in plaster for 8 weeks, yet i managed to do most of the normal things i would have done if i did not have the plaster on!!
Worth every penny!!
Excellent piece of kit and good value for money. Would be improved if the wheels were equipped with soft rubber tyres
I have had a foot operation and cannot put any weight on my foot for 6 weeks while I am in plaster so it has enabled me to get around the house with ease as I couldn’t like crutches – I didn’t feel confident with them. After 6 weeks I will have a boot for 6 weeks so again will help me get around and maybe to the “pub”. Someone told me about them but no one seemed to know about them in the NHS or mobility shops.
This has been a great purchase, enabling me to get around and still comply with dr’s orders!
Easy to fold down and transport when needed. Fab purchase
I ordered this as got cancellation for foot surgery. Arrived within 4 days even with weekend. The knee walker was assembled by my husband and son while I was in hospital and they found it easy to do. I cannot recommend this highly enough for anyone after foot surgery and who need to be non weight bearing. So much more freedom and confidence than using crutches. Recovery is not just physical but mental health can be affected when focusing on what you can’t do. With this walker You can do so much more and you are still resting up. If I could give this more stars I would. Thank you sooooo much.
This was recommended to me by a friend. I am very pleased because the knee walker is very sturdy and easy to manoeuvre. Even better than expected.
Lifesaver around the house! After 4 weeks on crutches it’s great to be able to scoot around and cook and carry food. It’s very manoeuvrable and easy to steer with one hand, and I like being able to lock on the brakes when I’m using it as a prop. Tried it outside on the prom but found it painful – I guess the model with pneumatic tyres would be better. I’m 5’4″ and have to wear a heeled boot on my good leg to even up my hips – could do with being able to lower the knee pad a bit more.
All in all a great help.
Good price compared with other models and a true life saver in my situation with a broken ankle. However be aware, this is for smooth surfaces only, the wheels aren’t all terrain and not suitable for grass, cobbles or uneven road. Really good for indoors thought. I wish it had a cup holder.
Fantastic product.Broke my heel and am elderly and house bound.Saw this product and found it was cheaper to buy than hire.Easy to assemble even for an oldie. Would recommend .
