Very good quality product. Sturdy, light, good design, I am a heavier person with arthritis and I got the medium tall one for standing in lines and do. Just what I was looking for not cheap and heavy ones.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI purchased this for a more compact folding chair for hours at softball and baseball fields. I am a large person (340) and needed something that would hold up. I thought comfort might be an issue since you cannot lean back. I was wrong. Because you are sitting higher than your average folding chair you can sit very upright my back doesn’t hurt even after extended periods because of better posture. I love that it is 1/10th the size of the chair I had but I have been more comfortable sitting in it!

While I love the telescoping legs and light weight of this stool, it’s a couple inches too tall for me, making sitting down difficult. I’m sorry I didn’t exchange it before using it because it’s a good stool just too tall.

Bought this to rest on during disc golf leagues and tournaments. This folds up nice and small, yet opens and extends easily. I am 6’3″ and 230 pounds. This stool is comfortable and sturdy feeling. It is a great height with the legs extended. Bought the feet webbing accessory to keep from sinking into the ground. Worth it!

My scouts are working on the hiking merit badge. The walkstool fits nicely in a day pack and was great for tired muscles during lunch and at the end of the 15 mile section. The walkstool supports my my weight without any complaints.

Exactly what I was looking for. Tall seat height and supports my 280lbs. I’ve used it ice fishing, wine tastings, hiking. Works indoors and out. You need to make sure you are on sturdy ground, but it’s a tri-pod and that should be expected.

I have foot, ankle, and knee problems causing me difficulty standing for any amount of time. I took this stool on vacation and was able to participate in nature walks, tours, waiting for transportation, etc. This stool is so easy to unpack and pack that I could use it anywhere. I’m a sports coach and I’m looking forward to the flexibility this stool will give me on the field – greater movement and visibility positioning.

Absolutely a superb stool. Well made, lightweight and extremely comfortable
The only reason I gave 4 stars is I’d like to carry it (attached) to my rucksack/tripod without the included bag but the legs when shortened tend to constantly creep and end up extended which you don’t want, so it looks like I’ll have to keep it in bag whilst transporting it but other than this a tremendous stool

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI bought the walkstool to use for IDPA competitions (main use) maybe for fishing too. I can sit down if I have extra time to relax and wait my turn. Also, I can use the walkstool as my personal stand to put my range bag. Quick retractable legs are a very convenient option. Light enough to carry.
I like the quality of it.
My recommendation is to use 65cm/26 inches of the size, super comfortable ( I’m 5′-11″ tall).

I was looking for a stool like the Walkstool for some time. The stool is very sturdy and the telescoping legs make it easy to fit in a back pack. I also like that it comes in different sizes. I purchased the 65/26 and it’s just the right height. You’re not so low to the ground that it is difficult to stand up. This size puts you in a semi-sitting position which is comfortable.

Dont buy this for great comfort or for rock like stability. This is a very portable stool that is light and well made with an incredible weight load rating. It has no back so long sitting session will not be supported as in normal camp seats. But it requires some form ground as a sinking leg can cause you to loose balance quickly with only three legs. Kind of pricey, but I have found no real competition for it. But, I plan to get some additional ones when my budget allows these purchases as they fold up small and can be carried in a car trunk and not be in the way. I would get the walkstool comfort over the bargain version as it is buch more comfortable and has some leg options to make the seat height match you sitting posture. Long legs vs short legs.

Although I have only tried out the chair for a few hours and not able to comment on how it will stand the test of time, I am very impressed.
The stool feels very secure and you can tell it is well made. I have the 65 which is a perfect height for normal activities and I may even look at buying a lower one for hunting, etc. My only criticism is that the carrying bag is partially mesh so when you remove the chair it gets caught and not sure how long before starts to rip or give out. Would be better to have a solid material bag.

The Walkstool is the answer to the walks, and rock hunts I wanted to do with my grandchildren but didn’t do because I knew I’d need to sit and rest. Just used it on my vacation and it really opened up the possibilities to me once again. It is dependable and safe for us “big” people — I’m thrilled to own one. 5 stars plus, plus, plus.

I really wish the taller one was available, but we needed these immediately for a golf tournament. The were so convenient. Although you cant take the carry pouch into golf events, i was able to fashion a separate strap for them. We walked with them for 7+ miles each day. They are AMAZINGLY lightweight for as sturdy as they are, particularly for ground that is not 100% flat. And I am no delicate flower. They deploy in seconds (or carry them with a fashioned strap and dont deploy at all. Just pick up, and sling across your body with the legs extended). I would not sit in one of these all day, but they are the perfect rest stool for a hear-and-there need. They are way more expensive than others you might see, but i would not hesitate to recommend – you *do* get what you pay for here.

Wow! Absolutely amazing and worth every penny!

Looked through so many diferrent foldable chairs, but none looked right, reviews were rubbish, just cheap and looks it’s going to break once you sit on it.

But this one really caught my eye! You can buy this chair in many different heights, I bought one that is 45cm height, as that will go with my portable manicure table, now I will be able to use two heights of the same chair which is awesome!! One for doing manicures, another one doing pedicures.

It is lightweight, high quality, comfortable and stylish.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersJust some notes on the sizes: I bought the 55cm (22″) model, which I thought would be best as I am pretty tall (6’6″ with a 35″ inseam) and while the stool IS relatively comfortable to sit on, I have to say I would probably be just as, if not more, comfortable with the 45cm (18″) model. It’s just a more natural height and what your chairs at home probably are. Also, I intend to use the stool for backpacking, where sitting higher off the ground isn’t always an advantage, for example, while sitting in front of a camping stove on the ground. The 18″ model would also be slightly lighter, lower in price, and a bit shorter when compacted (although, I had no problem fitting the 22″ model inside my Gregory 20L day pack; it will not, however, fit in the side water bottle pocket) . The tradeoff would be that the 22″ model has a slightly bigger seat (the fabric part) than the 18″ model. All-in-all, I think the 18″ model will be big enough for most people.

I bought my Walkstool Comfort 18″ in 2/2016. I used it, but not as much as when I retired in 8/2019 and then COVID hit. There were line everywhere and because of my knees I can’t stand for long periods of time. I took my stool everywhere and every time I was asked I told them the name of the product, that it was made in Sweden, the weight capacity and where I found it on line. Little did I know that not only the product was great, but so were the people associated with it?
Recently the rubber booties at that end of the legs wore out and broke apart. Probably my fault because I live in Florida and kept it in my trunk. I could not find this part and finally as a last result I sent an email to the company in Sweden. Within 24 hours Lars, the owner of the company, sent me an email letting me know why it would be quicker to deal with their US distributor and forwarded my email to them. Now a days, who does this! Turns out his US based business partner is as nice and concerned about customers as Lars. I will be getting my replacements in a few days.
If you are hesitating about buying, don’t. The product is great and the customer service is fantastic! All business is about relationships, then comes the product. I’m sold! Thank you, Lars.

It’s lightweight, compact, and supports my weight. It folds up in seconds and has a sturdy velco strap to keep it wrapped. I have used it 2 or 3 times for fishing on the beach. Yes, the sand can affect the ease at which the legs retract, so I just make sure I wipe off all the sand before I retract the legs. Then when I get home, I rinse it thoroughly with the garden hose. Seat dries quickly. Performs as designed and is comfortable, seems like a quality piece. I hope it lasts as long or longer than a quality beach chair.

I take it with me while playing Disc golf and it works wonders.
As a large guy (6 foot 5, 270 pounds) I wanted a sturdy stool, and man is this it. Doesn’t even make a sound when i sit on it. Folds smooth as butter, and tucks away small. Really no complaints.

Not very comfortable after 20 or 30 minutes. You need to stand up and walk around for about 20 minutes before sitting back down. But, better than nothing when there is nowhere to rest your knees and back.

This stool is great! It collapses into a small form factor, making it easy for travel, whether in a backpack, carry-on, or just slung over your shoulder in the included case. This feels super solid and and comfortable. The locking mechanism on the legs feels very secure and there is no play or stress noises when in use by heavier individuals. The rubber feet keep it stable on most surfaces. 22 inch height is perfect if an 18 – 19 in chair height is normal for you. The sag in the fabric between the top of the posts and the center, works out to between 18 – 19 inches.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a wonderful stool. The quality is excellent. I am 76 yo and bought it for long walks so that I can just take a break. Because my knees are not good I got the 22″ height, even though 18″ would be more comfortable. I bought it so it would not be so hard on my knees standing back up, but now I wish I had bought the 18″ or 20″, or better yet, what would be ideal is if there were extra holes, making it adjustable, as my cane is. So this review is probably not relevant for very many people, but I wanted to mention the concept of making it adjustable. Then it would be perfect for me. The seat is wider than expected. Definitely very comfortable! Highly recommended!

Although you can’t stretch out and put your feet up to take a nap, it doesn’t matter because that wasn’t it’s purpose. This is a portable, light weight and sturdy stool for hiking, camping, etc. for temporary use. Outstanding aluminum constructed stool that carries easily and provides a nice, temporary rest period.

I tried it out on the 4th of July for viewing fireworks, carrying it for a mile or so in its lightweight case. Setup takes less than a minute and gave me a comfortable resting place. Comes in a few sizes. Stows in a small space.

Could use a little more room for the boys. I got it to take surf fishing and it sinks into the sand just enough to be the perfect height for me. Very well made. Worth every cent. Highly recommend.

This is a game changer. Neuropathy and reduction of physical activity weakens what was once a very strong husband. He can now participate and both of us have more patience in long lines and at events. Got the tall 30 ” he is 6’4″. Its a lean-to stepping stool until we have arrived. He wouldn’t say it was a chair replacement.

I originally ordered the 75cm thinking taller was better but I am only 5’6″ and so 75cm stool is too tall. The 55cm stool puts the height at a normal chair height so perfect for me – returned the 75 and ordered the 55 and stool is fantastic. Very sturdy and lightweight. The only thing I would say is that the only way to sit on the seat is for one of the tripod legs between your legs which is not very elegant but fine for the purpose of sitting outside.

I’ve tried numerous chairs but most are simply too bulky. This tripod legged chair is convenient, sturdy and easy to travel with while in the field. The lower position that the show requires excellent balance but it can work even for someone with limited balance at an older age. This has been a great tool to sit in the forest while waiting for animals and birds to photograph. When you are ready to move just rebag it and throw it across your back. Beware though that the bag it comes with (nylon) begins to tear within days of use. That is a big detractor for me.

This is an aluminium, light weight tripod stool with extendable legs and it is highly recommended as a quick pop up chair. I have a foot condition that prevents me from standing for long periods of time so I take this stool everywhere I go. I also use it when fishing as there are many locations without seating. This stool at 55inches in height and prevents joint pain in the legs, particularly the knees when seated and casting with a rod for a long period of time. It comes in a netted bag and shoulder strap, so really easy to carry around, plus this stool will hold a person up to 250kg and with a durable triangular seat, it’s a high quality product that is compact for hiking and camping trips or to take to concerts. A great product indeed.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been standing in some long lines lately and didn’t want to drag a big lawn chair with me. Now I just grab my stool and sling it over my shoulder and go. When I get tired of standing I whip out the stool, pull out the legs, and take a load off. Very easy to fold up and carry when I need too. Typically, I answer e-mail and do other tasks on my iPad while sitting on the stool while in line. Very stable on flat surfaces, no wobbling. I also just found a new use for my stool. I needed to fix the spring closer on my gate. I sat down on my stool and finished the job easily without bending over or getting on my knees. This is an extremely well made chair. I appreciate being able to get a stool that works for a six footer. I sit comfortably,at a great height, and don’t feel like I’m squatting on the ground. If I’m in line next to a wall I back up the chair right up to the wall and lean on the wall, it’s like having a chair back. It is pricey compared to the cheap discount camping stools, but you get your money’s worth with the Walkstool!

I had been looking at this chair for a long time. I am happy that I bought it. The first thing you realize is that it is very well made. It is not a chair that will need to be replaced n a year. The best thing for me is the fit. I am 6’1″ with long legs. Other chairs were becoming a struggle to get out. This chair is the perfect height. I have been using it to sit and study nature. I am sure it will get lots of use for many years to come. Yes it is pricy. Buy once, not often.

I’m a big dude 5’6 260 lbs, hands down the best tri stool you can purchase. I’ve bought similar stools in the past. Nothing can compare. Most stools are rated to hold up to 250-275 lbs at 20-30 dollars. Those stools still feel flimsy to me. This version of the walkstool (walkstool 22) holds 400+ lbs. Their website shows these stools holding up a Volvo! The sturdiness of this stool is unmatched while STILL compact and lightweight! They also have different sizes. At 5’6, the 22″ model fits me just fine. They also offer accessories and replacement parts (doubt youll need them unless you really beat this stool). Mostly use it for conventions and opening day releases. The perfect “waiting in line” stool.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI enjoy reading reviews not writing them even though I know some are definitely fakes.
Had this since 2019 and wanted others to know the main advantages are this will go in a cabin size suitcase/average rucksack and light weight. The other advantage is if you’re tall. I’m average at 5’6″ so the 45″ is perfect for me. I felt some reviews that said it was uncomfortable probably got the 55″ in err.
I’ve tried 90% of other portable stools on the market atm and some are equally comfortable and definitely cheaper but will not fit into an average rucksack/or if they do are quite fiddling to assemble compared to this. The price has increased by a. 10 but it is my favourite for international travel. For normal pleinair use in London I prefer the fisherman type rucksack stool. Hope this help.

You can get much the same product for 1/4 of the price. But that would have smaller feet which would sink into grass, or fall off altogether. And wouldn’t have legs which slide in to a single point, making it easy for a photographer to swivel. And would probably be heavier. And wouldn’t last a lifetime.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersThis is a nice product. We’re a tall family, so it’s great to find something that sits high enough to be comfortable when out and about. We got the 30″ version to try before possibly ordering more. We do wonder, though, why the stool legs don’t have other snap lock holes at intervals along the post so that each stool can be adjusted to a variety of heights. It would be so easy for them to just add 2-3 holes per leg to create a multi-height stool. We also wonder why they sell the expensive nylon strap thing separately that makes the stool more stable and safe. Should just be included.

One other design issue is the feet. The rubber feet are flat on the bottom, and are not angled to fit the angle of the stool. So, when the stool is open, only a portion of the foot touches the floor. Ours are new, so we haven’t had issues yet, but it’s easy to tell that just one small area of the foot will wear out and be under stress, rather than the whole base of the foot being on the floor. This actually would have been an easy issue to avoid when the product was being designed, since it’s very obvious that the ‘feet’ don’t fit the ‘floor’. Even round ball feet would have worked better.

Mine is the 45cm high deluxe version. The height is perfect for my use wild camping though the height with the legs retracted are quite useless. If you are cooking on the ground you need a lower seat height to be comfortable and not fall over, if you have to reach for equipment of food etc the stool falls over. It will not stand up on this setting.
Considering how much these stools cost I would have expected a second set of lock pins for securing a lower position to cater for a proper dual height. I would say that they are a reasonable quality but nothing exceptional, fairly comfortable unless you’re cooking on the floor while camping. Would I buy another probably not unless they improve the design to make them more practical.

I bought this for use at my bus stops. It gets me off my feet. If the wait is long I put it near the bus stop sign or building so I can lean my back against it. I have already had difficulty pushing the red buttons in to collapse the legs all I had to do was move the red button to the middle of the hole and push the button in it would then collapse the legs. it is expensive I actually chickened out and tried to cancel the order. But it had already shipped. I am glad I could not cancel. It is solid. This will not break down with my weight. 300. 6’4″. Is now Oct 2020 I will up date if it breaks down. I need a bag that attaches to my 511 bag to carry it. Follow up. I am finding this little stool is helping keep me active. If I bite off more than I can do I can sit down and rest. Then continue. Still no sign of wear. Love it. Thinking on buying a backup. Simply because I might leave it. I don’t think I can wear it out.

I have had stools and shooting sticks that took my weight but had a feeling of fragility. This stool suits my big back-side and feels sturdy enough to let me sit comfortably now and probably for many years to be.

I like the Walkstool Comfort Camping Stool’s compact design, relatively light weight and sturdy construction. I purchased the stool after having purchased and used a budget camp stool from a big name outdoors company. Unlike the budget stool, the Walkstool telescopes down to a handy size for clipping on a belt. The option to sit on the stool without extending the legs out is an unexpected plus that I’ve used on a steep hillside to good effect. Between you sitting on the seat and balancing on the three legs as they come together and your own two feet, you in effect become a tripod.

I am delighted with this stool. I am a Plein air painter and this is easy to take with me in my pack. It is very portable. It is ruggedly built and very comfortable to sit on. You get what you pay for and this is really worth the investment.

Very easy to carry and the pack have a string so it is possible to carry it like a back pack. You can even carry it in your belt.

Sturdy stool and the comfort, well, it is OK, but a little bit of pain using it the first time. But this will be like having used your bike a couple of times. Your behind will get used

And I trust the chair, using a “CHEEPO” and I’m always afraid the stool will break

I know it is exspensive but you get what you pay for and this certainly proves the point well made comfortable and light and the choice off different height models is great.

I bought this to sit on while drawing in locations where there were no chairs or benches to sit on. It was easy to carry, folded up into a mesh shoulder bag. It unfolds easily. I bought this model because it was guaranteed to withstand higher weights. I found the seat comfortable and the stool secure for a long period of use. It is also at a comfortable height – similar to a dining room chair, so getting up is not difficult for someone with older knees. The only drawback might be that you must push a small button on the side of each leg to push the legs back up for carrying. This button sometimes is hard to push in. That aside, I am glad I bought it.

I was hesitant to spend so much on a stool but really glad I bought this – easy to carry and very comfortable to use. The Velcro strap could catch if you leave it open – just double it back on itself and it’s fine.

Superb comfort and construction. Yes it is an investment but you will use this for decades. My ex who is 360 lbs, 6 foot 4 inches, used his 26 inch walkstool for a trip to europe and loved it. I am 5 ft and 180 lbs and my 18 inch walkstool is supremely comfortable. I got the 22 inch because I wanted to be sitting a little higher but the 22 is a little too tall for me so I have returned it and am buying three lower legs in the 22 inch size to see if I swap out the legs on my 18 inch, it will give me that little bit more height that I want. There are only 6 pre-owned walkstools on ebay at this time which i think is a testament to how great they are.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSehr stabiler und leichter Hocker!
