Very good quality and nice accessory for the wolf grizzly grill. Love it.
This was easy to set up. Light enough to throw on my ski pulk with some wood.
My teenage child had said that snow camping would be more enticing if there was a fire to lounge by. I went on the hunt for the right product that would work in our deep wet snow of the PNW. I combined this fire pit with a grill pad and it worked wonderful. My fire did not fall through the snow. You can see I had a 2nd setup ready to go if we melted and sank, but the pad was just the right touch.
Now the only question is – do I get another one to use to maintain social distancing when I take my girl scout troop snow camping?
his is sturdy. it’s large enough but small. our first fire was with plenty of beach driftwood. needs to be fed often. contained things well. we will see tomorrow how cleanup goes
Great little firepit for a quick boilup out in the forest. So far it’s holding it’s shape. Good advice to NOT use water to dose your fire!
My husband laughed when he saw how tiny this thing is, but in the middle of winter when we first tried it out – he quickly changed his mind!
Super easy to set up and to pack up, this little thing gets your fire burning super quick. Produces a decent fire with 3 ash wood logs and some kindling (no accelerant added) that lasts a good 1.5hrs- 2 hrs and keeps you nice and warm. Cinders and embers take a while to cool off, but after that it only takes a few mins to wipe clean and pack up.
Bought some extra kit to make smores with next time, i love it!
Great item and the design makes it so small when packed away. I will use it for my campervan but I can see no reason why it couldn’t be used for hiking and camping due to how small it packs away and weight. I didn’t buy the mesh grill due to how much it cost and found another one for just over 20 which was solid and fitted at less than half the cost.
I have not used this yet but I have set it up which is pretty straight forward.
I’ve given five stars for set up, sturdiness and also for cleaning as it looks pretty easy to do… expensive but for the space used when taken and the portability of this i can honestly say you can’t fault it…
We set up a small campfire to greet guests to our cottage
I have been using it for bushcraft trips. Its pretty handy. Seems like its simple design will enable it to last. I really like being able to hold it up while starting a fire, and I like being able to ground it at different grades. Recently I’ve been using it on a hill, and its great for balance and flame control. My only issue so far has been when a piece of burning branch broke off and rolled underneath, the conditions where met and it engulfed the wax canvas underneath and required me to have to react carefully to use sticks to move the fire safe and extinguish the fire. Safety is obviously vital with this piece of gear, and establishing a safe area cannot be overlooked. So like most gear in the genre, its a genie in a bottle if you learn to master it.
I’ve had my fire safe for almost two weeks now and I have been nothing but pleased with it. The packaging it came in was very durable and well designed, the product its self is very lightweight making it extremely portable and easy to carry around. Setting up the safe was also super straight forward: it comes in two fully retractable and expandable pieces that come together with ease! The whole thing is made of stainless steel and feels very sturdy! At the end, cleanup was super simple. I was able to just dump out my ashes and pack up the whole thing! The fire safe goes really well with my Grill M1 and I definitely recommend both if you’re moving around a lot or if you’re an outdoorsy person!
I took the Fire Safe with me hiking this weekend so I could give it a try and see how it did in the snow. I couldn’t believe how easily I got a nice warm fire going. I always find fires in the snow hard to maintain and keep warm with. The stand itself kept the base of my fire dry and air flowing through it. When I was done, I just let everything cool, and I buried the ash. It folded up nicely into the bag again and I carried on my way. The whole kit (the bag and Fire Safe) just feel like really good quality, I can see lasting a long time.
I really like this product and I’m planning on buying the grill to go with it next time. I would definitely recommend this for day hikes or any other time you just need a quick easy fire.
The Wolf and Grizzly Fire Safe has been the perfect addition to my back-country and outdoor adventure equipment list. It can be easily assembled and set-up within seconds. It’s super light weight materials make it barely noticeable when carrying as part of my main pack or regular backpack. The build quality is absolutely solid. It feels sturdy and well built. It’s slim carrying case perfectly organizes everything and provides a very slim profile so it can be stored along with my other other outdoor gear easily. I would highly recommend the Fire Safe to any outdoor person/enthusiast!
I gave this and the grill attachment for it. Recommend both as a kit amazing high quality
