I live in a condo and like to shred my own papers. This shredder is so much more quiet compared to the “Fellowes” shredder I had. I am sure I would get complaints from my neighbours if I were to use my old shredder. With this shredder, I feel confident, my neighbours can’t hear me shredding paper.
I have only one issue with this shredder. The slot where you put your paper in, appears to be precisely 8 and 1/2 inches wide. With anything wider, you have got to fold the item before feeding it into the shredder.

Been using this daily since it’s arrival 6 days ago & with one exception it’s absolutely brilliant- it is extremely quiet, which was a prerequisite for me, smooth to use, on wheels so easy to move around – & no residue dust from the micro shreds of paper – it’s odd then, when it ticks all boxes with its ergonomic design, you open the drawer to empty the contents & the central ‘rail’ that holds the clear window panel, is so sharp it could slice through your fingers! It’s caught me off guard a few times!! I need to either file this down or cover it to blunt the corners. It’s a cheap nasty area of the design which is otherwise faultless as shredder design goes. For me this is its only fault. Well, if pushed, but purely for aesthetics, the graphics are a bit naff/unnecessary & not entirely clear..but I’m nitpicking. Not a dealbreaker! 9/10
More pricy than some of the mainstream cross cut shredders but this offers great security with about the finest chaff size of a domestic machine. Sturdy enough for small office use. Empty the bin regularly and it’s not too messy either. VERY quiet compared to the average unit.
So far — so good. I took it out of it’s box, plugged it in, and it started working.
It’s been in use for just a week and, so far, it’s working just fine.
I was particularly impressed with the size of the P5 shredded output, having used/still use a P4.
Like most shredders, time will tell as to whether first impressions continue.
I will report back in 3 months.

Still working just fine (casual use).
Je suis enchant de mon achat; ce dchiqueteur n’est pas bon march, mais il est solide, assez silencieux en activit, et pas trop encombrant. Les plastiques donnent une sensation de qualit et le tiroir est facile vider. J’apprcie aussi le dchiquetage selon la norme P5: il faut vider l’appareil moins souvent.
Il faut veiller ne pas excder la quantit de feuilles dchiqueter, et ne pas oublier de passer une feuille de lubrification/feuille huile de temps en temps (p.ex. quand on vide le tiroir plein).
Un (lger) dfaut ? Un faible bourdonnement quand il est en pause, de sorte que je prfre l’teindre entre les utilisations.
Used straight out of the box. Surprisingly quite and smooth operation. No lifting heavy machinery of the top with pull out waste bin in the front.
Partikelschnitt ist sehr gut. Beim CD-Schnitt bzw. Kartenschnitt htte ich mir einen kleineren Schnitt gewnscht. Geldkarten und Mitgliedskarten sind danach immer noch gut Auslesbar.
Buena mquina. El papel lo convierte en trocitos muy pequeos, as que es imposible que nadie sepa qu haba en los documentos destruidos. Aguanta mucho sin calentarse y pararse. La nica pega es que como tiene mucha capacidad, si llenas el depsito, luego es muy difcil vaciarlo, porque pesa mucho. Pero es una buena mquina y sencilla de usar. Tambin tritura CDs y DVDs en tres pedazos. Recomendable.
Works as advertised – quietly and effectively handles 5 -6 sheets effortlessly. We’ve gone through 2 other – much cheaper models. I decided to spend a bit more and the quality upgrade has been noticeable.

I’ve had paperwork building up in my house for ages because I wanted to dispose of it securely and now that I have this I’ve been processing and then shredding it. Obviously it’d always be better if they were better sound-proofed but I’d say this one is as quiet as it promises to be, which is quiet enough.
Luft im Vergleich mit anderen Aktenvernichtern sehr leise. Durch die zustzliche Lftung kann auch lngere Zeit Papier hintereinander vernichtet werden.
Aufgrund der Lftung sollte das Gert aber nach der Arbeit wieder durch den Hauptschalter ausgeschalten werden. Daran mu man sich etwas gewhnen.
Very silent and shred in pretty small parts which makes it even safer to shred stuff with! i’m very satisfied
This product works very well. It is quiet and easy to move around. I’ve done 3-4 pages with no trouble.
Reduces paper to very micro pieces. I like it very much!
Only had it for two days, so far so good. Long May it continue. Very quiet in use, solid item. Delivery was next day, service spot on.
I really like this shredder. It is extremely quiet while it finely shreds anything you feed into it. There are no touch sensors, which means less chance of breakage. It looks great, and has a pull-out bin that fits inside of a body, rather than being a shredder head that sits on top of a bucket. A well-built and well-designed piece of equipment.
Ce destructeur est parfait ! Le niveau de bruit est trs raisonnable. Le cycle de fonctionnement est de 10 mins mais selon votre utilisation, vous pouvez augmenter un peu son temps de travail et a c’est pas donn tout les appareils ! Allez-y vous serez pas du !
I have only had this for a few days, so limited feedback.
I bought it to replace a Staples unit that had broken. I was reluctant because of the price, but I’m glad I spent the extra money. My previous unit sounded like a freight train
compared to this one. So far so good, I’m happy and I would recommend it to others
Noise level is low-better than expected for P5 Shredder.
