Not being very tech efficient, I experienced a few problems, principally with sound quality and the remote control. Wonnie’s Customer Service was excellent, very informative, patient and precise with their instructions as to how to rectify and improve the issues. The remote control never quite functioned as it should, but the sound quality was improved to my complete satisfaction after following their instructions. The language facility, I found, did not function well on the online page for the player itself so I managed the language changes through each DVD’s own facility. On balance, I am happy with the DVD Player (picture clarity, sound level and ease of use) and I would also recommend the Customer Service personnel for their expertise and professionalism.
Excellent visuals and sound. One drawback could be the disc lid which seems a bit fragile. However this is a good item with a picture that is.quite glossy rather than grainy
Wanted a dvd player for trips away, so occasional use.

This product is great!
Sound quality is fab, disc doesn’t sound too loud when playing and image is great.
I had a 9″ dvd player previously which cost more and quality was the same if not poorer.

The unit I received was definitely faulty, and so having had the chance to try another one, I can report that this isn’t as completely awful as I’d first experienced!
If you do get very poor picture quality and an unresponsive remote, this is not how it should be. There should also be a set-up menu screen when you switch on that helps to get everything working as it needs to do. DVD playback should not be noisy, and it should look as good as you would expect from DVD. The better the resolution of the disc you are watching, obviously the better it will look. I tried a modern title and a film made in the 1970s, and both looked perfectly fine for their respective eras.
The sound could be better (but perhaps par for the course with these types of machines?), and the AC power lead is rather short. Hopefully the battery life will be enough to only need the AC to recharge between use.
As such, I’ve upgraded my rating from 1 to 4 stars.

CUSTOMER SERVICES REACHED OUT TO ME TO PUT THE SITUATION RIGHT AND WITH A REPLACEMENT UNIT I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO SAY BATTERY RUN TIME SO MUCH BETTER.(DID I HAVE A RARE FAULTY ORIGINAL???)
ANYWAY HAPPY TO SAY 2ND TIME AROUND WAS AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRST TIME.

What an incredibly easy unit , just pop in disc wait until it loads and then press to play !
This quality far exceeds that of my main player connected to the TV .
I bought this to take on holiday and the occasional use in the bedroom
Being able to swivel the screen round and fully adjustable makes this player in a league of its own.
The only minor criticism and it is only minor is the remote control buttons are very close together !

This is a great muti region DVD player for the whole family to use. The picture quality from the large screen is excellent and the sound is good also especially for the price. The controls are very easy to use and the light weight makes it extremely portable and ideal for travelling. The swiveling screen is also a very nice feature.
The picture and sound qualities are excellent. The swivel screen is brilliant which means l can watch from any position whether l am sitting down or lying in bed. The product is very easy to use. At present l cannot find any fault or anything l am not happy with.
Only had the player a couple of days but it appears to be very good in terms of picture quality and sound- not had occasion to use the remote yet.

Picture quality is perfectly acceptable for the price. I like the long battery life. Remote has a good number of features, useful if you want to go to specific chapter on a DVD. Has a good fast forward speed.
Given that it is relatively light for the size of screen it is not surprising that the sound quality is a bit thin. If used with headphones then this would not be an issue. It has a USB and SD card slot, very useful if you have media on a number of formats.
Delivery packaging was good, the DVD was in a neat protective bubble, a minimum of packaging was used.
I am pleased with this and it does what I want. It is very easy to set up and I connect a speaker to it via an auxillary cable and it sounds good. My only criticism is the sharpness & definition on some images , but I have improved this by changing the sharpness settings which is very easily managed. My USB plays perfectly on this device and I viewed Youtube recorded music tracks with no problem.
This is great. Picture quality is superb. Sound is good. Easy to use.
Just a few minors, when I press stop twice, I would like the dvd to stop spinning. The only way to stop it spinning,is to switch modes from dvd to AV or else, when you open the dvd lid, the dvd lightly touches the underside of lid.
Other than that, it’s great for the price.

What can I say, i have unwrapped dvd player, looks great, design great, volume is superb excellent sound. Picture quality great once you have set it up took about 5 mins to get the pic quality that I wanted. Would I buy it again YES would I recommend it YES

Purchased this for my 86yr old gran who is in hospital so she could watch her favourite old movies. She found this very easy to use. The picture and sound quality is great. Large screen so easy to see. The movement of the screen is a bonus. All round great product.
I watch this on my knee as my wife catches uo on her own programmes.I dont need the remote.Very good picture,a little quiet on sound levels but I am still delighted.I have my own cinema on my knee.Game of Thrones just got even better!

Good machine with excellent value for money, also large screen size, unfortunately the remote arrived with white letters on grey backing which makes them difficult to pick out at a glance. hence the lack of five stars.

Been looking for a decent dvd player for ages and read the reviews on this and thought I’d give it a go. I bought this to go on holiday with (my children get early bored in the car) and when I got it, it was the size of my laptop! I thought ok a bit big but it can go in my laptop bag, perfect . I tested it out and it’s amazing, everything on it is great. Controls on the dvd player as well as a remote. Not tested the remote out, I can’t see anything wrong with it and it’s a good price too for what it is, great buy

Just really pleased with this product. I use it to play my cds while cooking, as it’s more user friendly than my portable cd/radio. Nicer sound as well. Light weight so easy to carry. Everything I want in a portable DVD player. Reasonably priced for the quality. Very glad I have bought it!

Let’s do the negative first – this player is very light…it feels almost too light to actually contain any electronics at all!
And now the positives – the screen is HUGE, it’s brilliant and clear, lots of adjustment options. The player bangs into life really quickly, it’s ready to go ASAP. The sound is exceptional for a player of this type – big fear before buying was that sound would be too tinny, or too tiny…but it’s big and bold. Sure no alternative to separate speakers, but lovely and clear and as loud as you need. Great value for money, brilliant!
My husband and I have really enjoyed this DVD player. When a problem did arise, the company was both gracious and accomodating.
We will gladly purchase Wonnie products in the future!

Like watching a portable television , big screen size with a very clear and sharp picture, remote for flexibility as well with cables for car charging, playing from a main tv, various electrical adaptors etc, love the player does what
i expected and even more, quick delivery, good price as well was a great and well worthwhile buy.
Only just started using it but it functions perfectly for both viewing and listening. If you want a deep rich sound then best to connect to an external device but the inbuilt speakers are adequate enough.
As I say it’s new to me but would recommend.

This portable DVD player is very easy to use. It comes very well packed with all the cables needed to use the DVD straight away. It offers a good range of connectivity with a USB connection, SD card slot, AV in and out plus headphones/external speaker connections. When charging, a red LED shows until it is fully charged. In operation I found that the buttons were a bit stiff in operation but this may be just the new feel. The remote is a little small and the buttons close together and I needed to wear my reading glasses to use it. However these are only personal observations and will not detract from the using of the DVD player with the quality of the picture being better than expected. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.
I got the large dvd player I was in hospital 45 days now. It’s better big size.

Amazing really surprised with the quality of this product, brought for our six month old baby girl as she has been in hospital due to having open heart surgery and watching her favourite dvds have given her great comfort. I have had the Wonnie DVD player for two days ,and the set up easy, first trial very good but I need to play with the saturation,sharpness and brightness controls to get the best out of them. The instruction manual is clear and easy I have not used the remote control yet ,one small problem is that the socket for the head set is not a good fi
The only downsides to this are; 1. the sound only goes up to a maximum of 20 which is still fairly quiet for those who are hard if hearing. 2. The controls are all black and adding chrome or colour to these could also help those with vision impairments.
Love this Wonnie, I bought a smaller one a couple of years ago which is still as good as new. I use it for playing my exercise DVDs on. I decided a bigger screen would be better for me so searched and found this one. It’s excellent, picture is really clear. This has a nice large screen size for a portable dvd player, ideal if you struggle with vision problems. The sound is ok and can always be enhanced if you want to connect speakers. The overall picture quality is good. A bigger remote control would of been easier to use as the buttons are fairly small other than that all seems fine.
Good value for money, I’ve found the battery only lasts 2/3 hours. I am finding after a few months of use that the catch for the Dvd compartment isn’t very good, I need to add some weight so it will load the disc.

I liked everything about it but I haven’t yet use it that much but for what I have experience it is very good.
Although it has many great features, he just loves the easy functionality of the DVD player – just power it up and play. A single charge seems to last for a very long time.

Likes; screen has lots of adjustments, lots of connectivity and replay modes, region free DVD playback, USB playback, plenty of connectivity to external devices. Reasonable battery life. Lightweight.
Dislikes; instructions poorly translated into English, remote control poorly designed with cluttered layout, small buttons and equally small printing. Game controllers a bit light on the light side. Upward firing speakers not great for sound quality/volume.

The dvd player actually works quite well. The picture quality is great and I love that it swivels. The build is decent and it has many features. I like that it has a battery to use when not plugged in. The battery could last longer, but it’s not bad at all. You can watch from a USB as well.
Overall I’m quite happy with this purchase. Great picture quality and build. Decent battery.
