I was looking for a quality work bench as a special gift for someone that actually uses a work bench to its full potential. His bench had seen better days.
What can I say, he is absolutely delighted with this bench.

Excellent workbench that be folded for easy storage, with a level of performance and stability that is synonymous with the Worx brand. For those awkward, heavier workpieces that can’t be held in my standard bench vice, the worx bench with the supplied sash clamps or a G clamp or two will for drilling, grinding, filing or sawing tasks.

I am so pleased with this. It is sturdy, folds up well for carrying and is sturdy. What more could you want. Definitely better than buying a cheaper brand for the extra quality of this one.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI decided to give this a go when I saw it has a quick fold-out/fold-away action. I would say that’s the best feature of this bench and on that alone I would say it’s worth it. The added features like the sunken trays, sufficient holes and built-in clamps make this a very versatile bench. Yes it’s never going to be as stable as a proper wooden workbench, but it’s not like it’s featherweight, it’s sturdy and it doesn’t tip if you’re cutting or drilling at an edge for instance. The included clamps aren’t Irwin-standard but if they were it would be twice the price right? For the relatively light weight of the unit you’re not going to need that much clamping power horizontally anyway, plus you can add as many clamps as you want though the holes or around the edges. Basically if you want a good compromise between portability, quick setup and sturdiness I think they’ve nailed it.

I bought two of these and they both suffer from the same problem, which is that the folding under strut comes adrift on one side and has to be forcibly reattatched. This happens quite often and is the last thing you need when putting things away at the end of the day.

Very sturdy, clamps very easy to use much more flexible than standard vice type benches like workmates.

Overall this is a good table.
Unfortunately one of the clamps doesn’t tighten, just clicks when you squeeze, as if it’s not catching its ratchet properly.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI paid 110 at the time and I want to buy one or two more as you can connect them. The quality exceeded my expectations. So much utility for such a small space. It is perfect is you are not planing to have a big workbench and need a “portable” table to do your DIY.

A few months ago I bought one of these and it has been so useful I decided to buy a second one and using the slots in the top made the pair of them into a long workbench. Not too heavy, easy to carry and assembly before use takes about 5 seconds and about ten seconds to return them to portable mode. The included clamps seem to work fine although I haven’t used them a lot so far so can’t vouch for their longetivity.

    I recommend these.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersI use Amazon User reviews a lot when I’m thinking of buying something of which I have little or no experience.
I’ve not used a work table for years since I inherited a very old B&D Workmate which, due to it’s age, didn’t work too well.
Since then I’ve made do. But, as I’m now into my 70s and struggling a bit, I needed a “second pair of hands” when I do DIY. I searched through the various models available and, I’ve got to admit, I was tempted by some of the cheaper brands but I have to admit I was worried about stability.
So, following on from the advice given by so many of Amazon’s reviewers, I decided to spend a little more and get this work table.
O.M.G. – It’s as near as perfect as my top expectations. It’s easy to “assemble”, simply pull out the sides, it’s as solid as a rock and theres a lightweight table underneath to keep things as well as holes where you can place any tools in use. It’s easy to install and use the clamps** and there are 4 additional blocks to lean items against if you need to stop them moving. Closing it up is just as easy – undo the clips (two each side) on the legs, lift up the bottom table and the whole thing collapses for storage.

My first use was to place my newly acquired scroll saw on it and cut some items and the table stood up really well to the task especially as that’s not what it’s designed for.

Can I recommend it – definitely, with something as important as this, don’t buy cheap! The extra few quid are worth it.

Sturdy, stable, amazing work bench .
I make massive and heavy wooden planters on it up to 50-60 kg and it’s so stable. Such a good design ,absolutely worth ! Highly recommended.

When the table arrived, I was surprised on how well it was fitting in the box and how easy has been to take it out and mount it.
There are two included clamps, which have pretty long arms, and 4 clips to block objects in the table. They work well and keep the objects firm.
The table is easy to clean with a humid cloth and can be stored in the original box, as it is not adding any volume (on the contrary, will make it easier to add other thing on top of it if you have small space like myself).
Would buy it again, not soon I hope!

This was bought to replace my old B&D workmate. It’s not as compact as the B&D but has a larger working area so accepts bigger sheet materials. I saw some comments about clamps breaking, I can see how it happens – just don’t try to overtighten them. This is heavy, probably twice the weight of the B&D but it’s sturdy, I’ve bought a pair of short clamps to help holding sheet material onto top, they’re just more convenie

I have tried a number of work benches and this is easy to assemble and raise without difficulty. The clamps have been used a number of times, holding various items types. Easy to store and light weight I would recommend it for DIY.

Easy to use, versatile, and solid construction. It’s just a pity it doesn’t incorporate a joiners type vice. This would be an absolute winner if it had one of those. I’ll need to do a workaround somehow!

This has been a great purchase & am very pleased, however after a few weeks of use, the tray that is plastic and folds up and down, doesn’t really hold anything of an weight and kept coming apart, to the point of I got fed up refining it, so removed it completely as it doesn’t actually do anything useful and only is an additional measure for stopping in folding up, but the bench self locks with x4 clips anyway, which have to be pressed to operate folding up mechanism anyway.

Hope it lasts as it’s a very nice piece of kit. Bigger than my old one and I hope it will last longer too. My old one lasted me over 10 years. I like its functions and it’s easy enough to set up and fold away. Shame I got it at the end of all my garden projects and just before winter hits… Will certainly put it to good use next summer.

I have an engineering background and I think this is a fantastic workbench and the inclusion of two clamps in the price is really useful.

It is easy to put up and break down, flexible, light and strong. It is quite compact when collapsed and stores really tidily.

I thought it a little pricey but very good for working on. The bench itself is very heavy, but that adds to it’s sturdiness, but would not recomend it for a workman working away from home, it’s ok as long as it stays put lol. I was a bit disappointed that the stars didn’t have a value for money box I’ve given it 5 stars in all its categories, but I would have only given 3 stars for value for money. All in all I would recomend it for the home, but not for a travelling worker.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought this exactly 2 years ago so this is a long-term review. Previously had other makes, including B&D and Keter. The Worx is just so easy and quick to use, and very reliable. Workpiece can be gripped in various positions by combining the pegs with the quick-clamps, and by adding a couple of your own clamps (with detachable ends) vertically through the holes. Above all, it just feels good to use, very user-friendly, and has certainly gone the distance for me. Any faults? — it’s a swine for catching your fingers when folding, and the holes are ” not 20mm, so that accessories for B&D, Bosch etc will not fit. Otherwise, very desirable worktable, which at present seems to be sold out everywhere.

    Best portable workbench?

This was bought to replace a Workmate which had given up the ghost. There is no question that this is a far more versatile piece of equipment. The clamps, folding mechanism, and rust resistance are all major plus points. Cons are few but they are there. If you wish to clamp a piece of work to the table without using the built-in grooves you soon find that the moulded top makes this quite difficult. There are ways around the problem but a flat surface underneath would have made clamping much easier with little or no effect on functionality. One star away for this.
Other than that I have had no issues with this and I have used it frequently for many different jobs and found it excellent.

A great table. It’s lightweight but sturdy, and folds in seconds. I use it for home DIY projects and it’s just what I needed. The clamps it comes with are really useful too. They lock in to the rails on the work surface when you need them. I’m very happy with it.

Was initially concerned with the cost – twice the price of a similar B&D Workmate, however after lots of research I took the plunge. Glad I did.

Where as B&D have sold out and reduced quality significantly by moving production to China in the name of profit, this is made of quality sturdy plastic and has had significant R&D applied. On the day of delivery It was brought into action literally from the point of receipt.

    Overall highly recommended.

Took a while to get one of these but worth the wait! Really good sized and sturdy workbench. Really easy to store away when not required and just seconds to set up!
Would recommend product, delivery seems bit hit and miss. In January Amazon stated 1-2 months but then in march it was available in couple of days. Presumably difficulties with import/covid problems.

To be honest I just can’t fault it, the quality of the build and the ease of assembly ticks all the boxes. If you ever need the portability of a work table I personally believe you can’t get better than the WORX PEGASUS. Built in clamp tracks which can be removed and stored in seconds and not so light were unwanted movement can be a problem and not to heavy to make portability a problem. Definately worth the five stars

I looked around on youtube for a decent worktable and as is common today there is so much choice whatever your thinking of buying. I narrowed it down to a B&D workmate and a Kregg item, ultimately I chose the pegasus.

The price was great and the reviews were very good. It arrived promptly and I put it to work straight away. It’s very sturdy and easy to set up and break down.

The only little niggle I have is there is no real facility to attach a vice and the clamps didn’t really help much. So I came up with a wooden platform made out of out of pine with two 1×1 supports to which I bolted a vice onto and then using the dog holes I then bolted that to the table using 10mm x 50mm bolts with wooden washers to protect the table. See the attached images for the platform I made.

This works like a charm and now I have a strong vice that enables me to do the jobs that the clamping onboard system cant manage.

I’ve only used it a short while but so far it has done exactly what it says on the tin no problems the clamps work really well it’s not heavy at all carrying it is very easy and it packs away easily and doesn’t take up to much room when folded up.

Looking for a decent workbench that actually helps your workflow then I suggest you look no further I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this brilliant bit of kit!

Fantastic !! lightweight, strong, sturdy and very versatile.

Likes: Solid Bench, pops up instantly, great clamps that slot into the bench top for use and also storage.

Dislikes: The entire underneath of the work surface is a honeycomb design, meaning it is difficult to clamp anything down to the work surface without snapping bits off underneath or adding planks of wood to spread the force.

Overall very happy with the bench and will possibly screw/glue some waste wood under the edges in the future

I found this a great work table (after my B&D bench died). But its very different to use. not better or worse, just very different. In truth I miss the vice on the B&D, but the clamps on this were great for almost all of my basic stud wall joinery work.
This folds up much more easily and stores more easily too. I also have had great use of the two clamps off the worktable for holding work in place while drilling/sawing etc.
The recesses in the top are a great idea! my pincils and tapes and rules etc were easy accessed and were out of the way of the work too.
    Im really enjoying using it.

I had reservations over the strength and stability of a plastic workbench but these were misplaced.

It’s proven more than adequate for home DIY projects and has got a lot of use without any issues over the summer.

The built in clamps are not a gimmick and work well for holding both large and small projects securely.

Very nice piece of kit. The whole top is effectively a vice, allowing firm handling of all manner of shapes and objects, with very quick release, adjustment and resetting. The old-style workmate-type benches just don’t compare, except possibly in robustness. Quite bulky for storage, but worth it for the performance.

I have had this for two days and I can’t believe how much better this is from my old work table. It is so much more useful, quick and manageable than the old on. I am in the middle of a major project and I wish I had this three months ago. If I find any hitches I will let you know but in the meantime this is so much better than I thought it would be. Much bigger when it is assembled but just as compact when folded. I have been looking for a decent workbench for ages, I have found it.

I’ve been quite a bit of DIY recently, I started out with a workmate type bench, which was a fiddle to use, sharp edges, not that stable and required constant adjustments. The Pegasus is neat, stable and sturdy for a table this size. Well designed and thought out. Whilst more imagination and clamps/clamping required than a workmate style, it also has potentially more uses. Love it so far!
