Definitely wish I bought one earlier. I haven’t noticed any power difference compared to my corded one and significantly lighter, so much so that I feel confident using it up a ladder. No cord to step on or get caught on anything is also a great advantage. Been in use putting up security cameras. Back on solid ground it made light work of making holes for expanding bolts in concrete.
Good investment if you are going to use it a lot or working up high.
I purchased this worx hammer drill to make some 10cm deep holes in concrete using a 10mm masonary bit. The drill made drilling the 20 plus holes easy, there was no stress on drill. I was able to go through the wood into concrete with ease. I would recommend this hammer drill to anyone needs to drill concrete or masonary.
This is not a replacement for a good corded drill – you would have to pay a lot more for that – but it does most household type jobs very well.
It’s light so you can hold it for extended periods and the hammer action is pretty good.
It does work better and for longer with the bigger capacity batteries, say 4 or 5 Ah.
This not in same league as higher end ones but works fine
And means can reuse batteries (i already have a drill and the little hand pressure washer)
Like my other Worx drill, the brushless motor is decent and has some oomph

Powerful but be aware it eats batteries, I used 2-3 2AH batts drilling 4 16mm holes into a concrete driveway floor (putting in an anti theft anchor) – not an issue for me as I have 3 2AH batteries already. They got a bit warm with continuous use but no ill effects. I will only use this occasionally so this is fine for me, but you might want to get 4 or 5aH batteries if your doing a bigger /longer job
Doing smaller holes in brickwork/breezeblock is a doddle – goes though like butter.
Worth picking up an extra conventional chuck do you can (which plugs in like an SDS bit) , so you use all your non SDS drill bits too (I got a cheap one from my local toolstation for around fiver, hence now I can use all my old drill bits too rather then duplicating with SDS ones).
I neded something to drill a few holes from inside to outside and this beast just effortlessly drilled 10mm holes through 2 sets of bricks without any effort. The battery life lasts well enough to drill well over 20 holes.
The chisel function is great too
Like most of the Worx power tools, this is well built and easy to use. I was concerned about the power of the drill but it is the same as my mains Black and Decker model, easily making its way through concrete and brick. The battery lifetime is good with no obvious dropoff in power. Thoroughly recommended.
This was awesome glad I got this one over the newer H3. The chisel function saved the day when I found out they’ve layed a full concrete floor under the tiles. Very happy with this one.
This is my 25th WORX tool, so I am a little biased, but these are brilliant tools for the “professional” DIY person. There are slightly cheaper brands which I have tried that are no where near the quality of WORX.
If you do DIY on a daily basis like me, at my home or with my farm projects and compare the WORX range to the Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee or Bosch equipment some of our subcontractors bring onto site, they often say my kit is better and borrow it. Most say they would swap, but once you have a few batteries from one brand, its hard to change and manufacturers know that. No one company is good at all the kit, and WORX have gaps in their range which can be frustrating as everyone seems to use a different battery format, so I am force into using other manufacturers at times, but WORX get 10/10 from me.
Fabulous product. WOrks really well. Great battwery life and good to be able to swap battery with other products.
I got this for work and is unbelievable and the bits that came with it are in my opinion better thsn the branded bits

For a cheepie sds drill it works very well torque on drill function exelent
hammer function for a light weight does ok
Drilled without any effort through brickwork that my old drills couldn’t do. It’s small and light weight but packs a punch. Battery share helps as I am collecting many Worx tools
Only had it for a week. First time I used it Had a fully charged 40AH battery. Drilled 5 holds in concrete slabs. Went in like butter. 6 hole the drill stopped as if the battery had run out. But was still fully charged..keept flicking the trigger and it restarted. Its happen more than once over the week. Had the some thing happen with some of my other worx tools..drills. saw….I’ll seams a common thing with worx tools..apart from that it’s like all there tools good value for money…highly Recommend.
Would have liked a case with the drill but it was really good value for money and excellent quality
I’m a convert to Worx – you really can’t beat them for price or quality, certainly for DIY. Whilst I can’t comment on daily use by a tradesperson this is certainly adequate for less frequent use in the home.
For comparisons sake, I have previously I’m used either a Bosch combi drill (lacking power and drive) or a Hitachi corded SDS ( bulky, heavy and inconvenient). This is the best of both worlds and is certainly closer to the Hitachi in terms of ability. Using a 5.0 mAh battery, drilling holes into solid brick was no problem when mounting a TV bracket. No issues with drilling a 15mm hole through the exterior garage wall for an outside tap either.
So far it’s been used to chisel some cement that was obstructing some structural wood framing that I needed to put in place. It breezed through this job so I’m hopeful it will be up to the light demolition job I’ve got in mind for it. It’s usage so far has been very light but as usual Amazon want a review before I’ve really been able to put it through its paces.
One thing I wasn’t aware of was that the drill did come with three drill bits (8, 10 and 12 mm). I wasn’t expecting that since I don’t recall seeing it in the product description so I bought a set anyway. That’s OK since I now have plenty of bits. I have however bought additional Makita chisels since chisels do not come with it.
If I remember I’ll update this review after using it a lot more.
UPDATE: I’ve since had cause to drill just over an inch into stone, and found that the 2.0Ah battery was not up to the job. Fortunately I already have a 4.0Ah so used that which resulted in the holes being drilled in seconds. I’d therefore recommend making sure you have the larger battery for this drill.
