Already knew I wasn’t buying a physical gift card. Got it delivered straight away on my email, tried to redeem it directly on the Xbox 360 unsuccessfully to later realise that is no longer possible to redeem it there but instead had to redeem the 25-digit code in the Microsoft online store. All I had to do was log in using the account I wanted to top up. Also I had to change my location back to United Kingdom otherwise it wouldn’t go through. Overall I am satisfied. Quick tip if you buying it for someone else DO NOT redeem it straight from the link Amazon provides, instead write down the code and give it to whoever you’re gifting it to

I was concerned as some reviewers stated the voucher was credited to their own Microsoft account when following the link in the email. I looked up the voucher code in my amazon account (also linked in the email) and let my son use it through the “redeem’ option on his Xbox.
Earlier this year I also ended up with a 25 credit when I used the email link to use the voucher. It’s still sitting in my Microsoft account as I have no need for it and am not able to pass it to my son as originally intended.
Dear Amazon, the description needs updated regarding using it as a gift. More importantly however is a review of the email content to clarify the link will allow the user to credit the money to their MS account. There should be some instructions on how to use it as a gift for someone else. Making the email more user friendly would save a lot of frustration. Thank you.

I can’t really comment on this digital credit as I know nothing about it other than paying for it. I just send the details to my daughter and she has sorted it out as a gift for our Grandson who’s birthday gift it was. Being a gamer he asked for this and he loves it using it to play.

I dislike the lengthy code to redeem but can see why it has to be like that. This is the perfect fast easy gift can be redeemed and spent by the gaming recipient within minutes! I really like that it doesn’t take any time at all to credit the account when redeemed. I usually take a screenshot of the code for the recipient rather than forwarding emails. I regularly buy this.
Have bought often as prefer digital instead of wasteful cardboard/plastic ones at supermarket……but my last purchase had a fault when placing order…i checked orders n nothing comfirmed or via email…so i placed another order…..result being original order went through later and i ended up with 2 lots of purchases….could not be bothered with faff of trying to cancel digital code

Happy but the link to redeem is incorrect and was awkward to find. Amazon should sort that out as I was getting cross trying to sort it for my son.
