Great item, easy to set up and seem a much better made product that the Turtle beach ones I was using.
They just work seamlessly out of the box.
Once paired to Xbox they kust work.

Since purchase, I have found that there are many others online who have had the same issue. No force or other mistreatment of the headset and yet the microphone housing had broken.

Thankfully replaced by Microsoft under warranty.

Vast improvement on the wired version of the same headset, would definitely recommend paying extra for wireless. Sounds better, more comfortable and no annoying wire. Battery length is decent also.

i have a giant head, so this may be isolated to myself..
on head i feel a love of compression from the headband, i haven’t had that from many, if any other headphones, but i do concede the fact my head is on the larger side..
    that aside.

the headphones themself, for the cost… there’s not much better out there.
good isolation, crisp sound quality (when you adjust via the xbox settings)
the dials on the earcups to control volume/ game and party chat etc, works so well.

Used Turtle Beach 600 Stealth for a couple of years.
Nothing wrong with them but read a few reviews of these Xbox phones.
    Wow!
    What a sound!
So easy to use and set up.
I hear things in games which were never there before.
Paired it to my phone and stream Amazon Music.
I can’t recommend these phones highly enough.
For the price of these compared to Turtle Beach it’s a no brainer.
Love the rotary wheel to control the volume.
Obviously better phones with all bells and whistles but you’ll pay for it.
But if you’re looking at the cheaper end try these.
    Exceded my expectations.
    Nice one Xbox and Microsoft!

I bought this headset so I could use it for both my series x and pc. Unfortunately it is abysmal on pc, hard to hear even with the volume on full and all sounds are rubbish of what you can hear. On xbox series x though….fantastic and maybe one of the best headsets I have ever bought.

They would have been 5 stars if they weren’t so uncomfortable after long periods of use. The sound quality and overall look of these are 5 stars, but if I wear these for more than an hour they really start to hurt my ears and the top of my head. They don’t seem particularly heavy, so I’m unsure if it’s their weight causing pressure on these areas or if they’re quite a tight fit. Strange for someone who generally probably has a smaller head than most Anyway, in a nutshell, if these broke I wouldn’t buy another pair based on the fact they’re uncomfortable only after “long periods” (an hour) of use.

great for Xbox, got it from amazon warehouse as an open box item- no issues with the headset but for some reason they too a week to dispatch it.

    * I saw a lot of reviews mainly about the sound quality on them but honestly they excellent in providing good sound quality while’s gaming or streaming movies but yes you do have to mess around with the EQ settings on them to get that quality on as the default settings are not recommended.
-Whiles customising with EQ I would highly suggest getting Dolby or DTS as it basically upgrades the sound quality extremely and seeing the differences without it.
-Both do come with a free trials to try out but Dolby is a winner for me in my opinion as I like to game while’s listening to music as it work of me better.

*The battery life on them are great!
-with up to 15 hours of battery life per charge.
    – The battery fully recharges in about 3 hours when the headset is not in use.
-30 minutes of charging provides about 4 hours of battery life.

*They also glasses friendly which I’m very happy about haven’t had no issues having my glasses and the headset on even whiles gaming for 6+hours straight they very comfortable on the ears and the head itself.

Overall would highly recommend getting them if you looking for a headset that won’t damage your wallet they good for the price and what you get from in return.
Microsoft done a good job with them.

Good headphones for Xbox. Hassle free connection, paired like an extra wireless controller first time and showed up in the Xbox accessories app. Good sound quality, easy to adjust the volume and chat mix with the whole outer cups being the dials. When looking at buying these i read several comments about them being small/tight which concerned me a little having a larger head. Baseball caps need to be on Max to fit me but the headphones fit just fine, I haven’t noticed any discomfort wearing them for several hours at a time other than perhaps from having them a little too loud! Battery life is good and mic quality reported as loud and clear. Mic can be turned on/off via the easily located button on base of the stalk. Overall the quality and design of this headset justify the price tag.

I think that Microsoft could not make bad headphones for their consoles, everything here is designed for compatibility and ease of use. All the functions that headphones can only give with this console, everything is thought out. As long as everyone is happy.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersRead the the good and bad reviews and decided to give them ago using the sonic app that is already set up on the xbox x, very easy to pair no dongle they set up like the controller the sound was very very good as was the mic sound very easy to balance great for G T A, then I switched games to daylight you could hear every foot step all for the princely sum of 79.95 they were every bit as good as my Sony set 200 plus, and they knocked spots of my Hyperex to which the mic is duff on them so hello xbox bye bye hyperex, they are a very comphy fit but the plastic is very brittle so if you are a tad rough with them they will break, so treat them like a 64 year old would that’s me by the way

These work great no problems, can connect to your mobile at the same time, They can get hot over the ears if worn for a extended gaming session, but that would probably apply to any over the ear headphones, they are comfortable though good sound and like the fact you can mix the game and chat sounds to your liking.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersReally good sound, full of great futures which sometimes you not gonna get on headphones much more expensive that this headset.
I love the dial idea where the whole round side is a volume dial.
So easy to use and easy to find unlike most headsets where you have only small dial and sometimes trying to locate it is a pain!
    Now the bad points!
Too much pressure!!! They can squeeze your brain out 😀 lol!
But seriously, it’s a bit uncomfortable! they are over the ear so you can feel pressure on your jaw.
Because they’re round you have to wiggle them to fit your ears.

Next, and that was a deal breaker for me. It’s only Bluetooth and it’s probably fine on Xbox but for PC users, that means it doesn’t work too well in some games.
At least not without some windows tweaking. For multiplayer games like for example Destiny 2 and many more the sound will be switched to mono hands free device.
It took me a long time digging in the advanced audio settings disabling some drivers etc. to get them work as they should.
So I send the back, shame! If MS could include a standard 2.4 GHz dongle I would keep them!

It’s a great piece of equipment. Does what it says and does it well!
Volume on one ear (twist cup to use) and game-party chat volume on the other.
It all works very well and the ONLY gripe I have with it is the battery life. If it was an extra couple of hours it would be perfect.
You CAN use these when charging too.

One of the best “budget” headphones for Xbox granted you can get better or cheaper ones but this is at a sweet spot for value. Sound is clear and loud for gaming and chat and ok for movies. I would recommend something better for music but as a gaming headset it ticks all the boxes.

  23. Topher McDougal says:

Really suprised I would bother leaving a review for this as headphones are normally ”yeah there good”

    What I like?
maybe its the new version of Bluetooth but these stay connected to multiple device and all can play simultaneously, why is this important? no having to reconnect and disconnect devices when switching from laptop to console to phone.

USB C like many new ones but big pro, battery life good (for now)

    AUDIO CONTROL
the ability to change volume with earcup in rotation wheel is so natural and amazing, I hate buttons as its not convenient when midgame or in dakr, the ability to do both volume and game audio is so easy to naturally get it to my liking.

Fit nice and comfortable for all day use as use for my work on phones 8 hours shif

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSound quality is absolutely great, but only if you buy the DTS app on the Xbox. If you don’t buy this app the quality of the headphones or shall we say poor at best. The microphone cable is a little short but at least it has a light on the end sound quality from the microphone I’m told it’s good. The volume knob on the side of the headphones is ergonomically fantastic. The headphones himself are comfortable but feel a little tight on my head, even after I tried to dress in the headphone strap. Volume is good loud enough base is amazing. Overall I’m really pleased with my headphones. The biggest dislike I have with them is that when they’re on your head for more than half an hour they begin to feel a little tight to your ears, but I wear glasses, so not sure if that has an effect, but would Defo recommend these headse

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersI think Microsoft have done an excellent job with these . They also deserve credit for keeping the price down to a very reasonable level that most people can afford.
These are perfect for anyone looking to upgrade from basic level headphones to ones that have surround capabilities.
I already have quite a collection of Headphones ranging from wired RIG 500 PRO’s to Wireless RIG 800’s. I also use the wireless Steelseries 9X that are made specifically for Xbox. I use both Dolby Atmos and DTS-X sound apps on my Series X console. The RIG headsets are made Specifically for Atmos while the Steelseries has a customised setting on DTS X. I bought the Microsoft ones purely on the strength of the positive reviews. I was intrigued enough to buy a set after returning a pair of Steelseries Nova 7X’s a couple of days before. I couldn’t get them to work properly so I sent them back. They were nearly double the price btw.
The Microsoft Wireless headphones are optimised for both systems and Sonic but are half the price of the more premium sets.
Does that mean they feel cheap and nasty? Not a bit of it. They look and feel premium. The sound quality is spot on and infinitely adjustable via the accessories app loaded on to your console. You can swop between presets or customise them until it’s perfect for you.
I think the many positive reviews these Headphones are getting should give you some idea just how good these things are. I seriously doubt you’ll find better for the money.
I’m pretty happy with them so far. I’ve tested them out on Destiny 2,Youtube and Netflix. They hold their own no matter what you’re listening to. My RIG 500’s may be a touch louder overall but in fairness they have 50mm Drivers and are wired.
If you looking into upgrading your cans but can’t afford the premium price tags. Don’t worry. Just get yourself a pair of these. They even make a wired version of these for around 50 quid saving you even more money. What’s not to like.
    Well done Microsoft.
Update: look out for the microphone as mine snapped when I tried to stow it away, too heavy handed I guess. Luckily the warranty process is pretty straightforward. The replacement process took four days and that’s pretty quick.I’ll be more careful with the microphone in future.
Don’t try to make it fit flush with the groove that runs around the earpiece. That’s what I was trying to do when it snapped. It’s clearly not designed to fold away flush when not being used like my Steelseries one does. It’s not particularly long so it doesn’t get in the way so it’s no big deal.
Apart from that my set had an update recently that further improves the pre set sound options and has made quite a difference to overall volume output. When Music gets selected I actually have to turn down the volume which is a first for me. I’m Still giving these things a 100% approval rating despite the mishap.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersA really good product from Microsoft for the money.
It looks and sounds like they have taken their time when putting this together and would also bet they looked at a few other market leading headsets before making and releasing these, because they deliver a decent high end experience for a fraction of the cost of some headsets.

I have some Sony WH-1000XM3’s and although not for gaming, They do provide premium sound and I used these from a sound perspective, to compare to the Microsoft cans.
I’m really impressed. Just by using the on board Xbox EQ, you are able to get a decent level of sound very quickly, with good levels of bass, mids and treble.
It’s often that the bass level suffers on cheaper headsets but these are not far off the MX3’s. Not bad at all considering the cost difference.
They aren’t built for noise cancelling but these do offer some level of suppression from outside room noise.
It’s about right for you to be able to hear your own voice when talking, so you don’t end up shouting down the mic.

The mic itself is good quality, after talking to friends online, they said that it was crystal clear.

I also love the adjustable volume on both cans, one for general volume of speech that you hear and the other for in game volume, so you can always get a comfortable mix.

The overall feel of the material that has been used is also decent, you can use these for a couple of hours feeling quite comfortable, with soft ear and head band cushioning.

I also like that the mic sits by your mouth but doesn’t extend so far that you can see it.

Setup is also very easy, following the ‘add device’ within the Xbox settings part of the menu.
As soon as you press the on button, you’re straight in as the Xbox remembers the device.

Charge time is about an hour and you’ll get 12-14 hours of solid use I would say.

For under 90, both the sound and build quality feel very acceptable and it’s great that Microsoft have not charged the earth for these.

Straight out of the box, they worked and paired fine, been using them for over a year now and I honestly cannot fault them, I also use them for teams calls and surprisingly, they work really well, you have to be careful with the Mute button as it can leave the mic muted full time on teams, adjusting the rotating dials also can affect the sound/ mic for teams calls also as the laptop esp windows 10, has no idea what to do lol

This is the first wireless headset I’ve used for Xbox, favouring wired in the past, and I must say I am very impressed with the sound and build quality of these headphones.
Like may others I do recommend using the Dolby Atmos Xbox app (other apps are available) and headset app to adjust the graphic equaliser settings before use, as this greatly improves the standard sound, as it can be a little flat.
The in game surround sound experience is superb especially at low levels.
And to top it off you can chat on the phone and pay at the same time with the added Bluetooth.
The only issue I found was the occasional dropping of sound especially when the battery level dropps below 50%
However, it was easily resolved by turning the headset off and on again.

Only minor niggle is that the mute button is on the mic boom and a bit tricky to find. I’d have preferred pushing an ear cup in. The back of the ear cups are used for chat or sound volume so very controllable.

Really great build quality, audio and Mic pick up. Surround sound comes through nicely and the MIC light indicating when its on is really helpful.

Having the cup controllers rotate to balance game vs Chat (and being able to go 100% either way) is great for infly tweaks.

You definitely need to download the Dolby Atmos app (on Xbox) to get the most though.

Really like the comfort, sound is great on the Xbox, used with my phone also for music and YouTube.

  41. Anonymous says:

In so many ways it ‘just works’:
    – auto-sleep and one button connect
    – rotating ear-cups to control volume and the chat mix works great, with a handy detent / bump at the halfway point
    – microphone is excellent, clearer than the much more expensive Bose Beoplay Portal
    – no touch controls to accidentally hit ( which happens regularly on the Portal )
    – comfortable for several hours
    – more battery life than I’ve ever needed

The few downsides are caused by the console, and so are common to all headsets on Xbox:
    – Sony provide amazing 3D audio features to any output device, including all headsets, yet Microsoft overcomplicate this with a mediocre built-in option with two step up options requiring additional paid subscriptions ( Dolby and DTS )
    – audio sometimes skips and compresses, particularly when switching apps, taking screenshots or clips, or even loading the guide — a pulse 3D headset on PS5 does not exhibit the same issues

Ultimately the best headset for almost everyone on Xbox. Great value, comfort, quality and consistency.

    ( used with Xbox Series X at a 1-2m range )

These headphones blew my expectations out of the water. I had been using the price equivalent turtle beach headphones before they snapped with only 6 months use. I had been out of gaming for over 5 years so was impressed with the turtle beach, but after replacing them with the Xbox headphones there really is no comparison.

All sound is deep and full of bass yet you can still hear foot steps clear as day (Halo Infinite for reference). Explosions, gun fire rattles your teeth making for complete immersion. In a big team battle match an AA gun fires from time to time to indicate a milestone reached in the game and when it fires it’s like you are there. The headphones don’t vibrate or distort but it feels like you are actually stood there next to the AA gun! This could be due to the dolby atmos.

For the price. Honestly. Buy these. I have never been so immersed before because of sound.

    10/10

Very satisfied with the purchase. Battery life so far very good (ocasional use). Feels comfortable on the head even after 4hrs of use. No other headphones I have would give me this comfort. Sound quality good enough to enjoy playing. Requires some low and high tones boost in the settings, but that’s it. Tried the DTS:x app to enhance the sound effects but not much difference apart from more surround feeling. Haven’t decided yet if I spend another 15 for the licence. May not be worth. Once the trial is over I will go for the Atmos free trial app, but again, not expecting anything exciting as this headphones are not Atmos compatible.
Volume regulation is perfect. No buttons to press, just turn the back plate of the RHS phone. The LHS you use to adjust volume balance between game and phone. And this feature is just amazing. You can enjoy sounds effects of a game and have your friends connected via a group chat on a phone, all through one headset.
I’m sure there are better and more expensive sets giving extraordinary experience via DTS or Atmos, but this headset is a perfect entry level kit for casual gamers like me (and my sons). Enjoy.

A very solid gaming headset with the added benefit of app controls when connected to an Xbox

Sound quality is decent, quite bass heavy but can be dialled down with eq control in app. Sound. Where they excel is in the soundstaging. In games that support Dolby atmos you can narrow down the smallest noise and locate it effectively. The mic is accurate if a little short but no one has commented on it not working effectively.

The phones themselves are quite comfortable, not too heavy and easy to wear for long periods. Build quality is ok, not as good as the elite controller this has obviously been designed to sit next to but comparable to the cosair model it replaced. The volume controls for mic and headset are one of the best bits – essentially the entire left or right ear cone rotates to control the level independently.

    Overall very good value

I didnt want to spend this much on headphones for my son’s xbox and bought a different make for about 50 from another seller. Those ones turned up and frankly looked cheap and the controls did not feel very good quality. (I had expected more as we had always had cheap 20 headsets before). So I returned them and splashed out on this Xbox wireless headset. They are A WORLD APART in terms of build quality and sounds quality. I do not regret spending the extra, these are absolutely worth it.

The headset works wonderfully with my Xbox series X and with my iPhone.
You can even listen to music from iPhone or answer a phone-call while you’re connected to Xbox and continue to hear your gaming sounds. This is possible because the headset connects to Xbox via wireless while it can also connect to Bluetooth simultaneously.

I like the sound quality and the microphone also works great.

Recommend this headset, it’s probably one of the best wireless sets you can get for this price.

Link easily with series s, and chat is very clear. Sound is good for gaming tho not so for music, however at the budget price this is to be expected. Importantly they need updating then setting up via the xbox settings to be at their best.

I had my doubts about how good these might be given their price point given that I was switching from top end Steel Series headphones (still gutted they dropped the optical port on Series X really).

I think the best part about these is that there’s no hub or USB device needed – Xbox one & Series X/S just support them. Then there’s the bluetooth connectivity that lets you connect to a phone/laptop and the console at the same time. I’ve found myself using this to watch sports on my laptop and you control the balance between the two sources so that you hear as much of each as you want.

General audio performance is great, in game or watching a film/listening to music.

For the money don’t think these can be beaten. Can be improved in settings. Pity you can’t stop them starting the xbox as I also use them with other devices. Only workaround is to keep the xbox powered off which is not a good idea or unpair them which is a bit of a pain.

Excellent sound for gaming and films and if you have the Xbox one or series X or S then get the Dolby Atmos app and your gonna be in for a treat, I put a film on the Xbox one X and had it set up to a Artlii Energon 2 projector and projecting onto a n eightie inch screen and listening to this with the Dolby Atmos Xbox headphones on and the sound was amazing I felt like I was in my own cinema, the dialogue was very clear and the base is really loud and u have no distortion at all even though it’s on quite loud, you can also adjust the equalizer on them through the Xbox settings, also extremely comfortable even after wearing them for a long time which is very handy for when your gaming for long hours and another good feature is that the short microphone can easily be pushed out of the way, I also have the PS5 wireless headphones and even though they’re also very comfortable and the sound quality very good I find the Xbox headphones have a slightly better edge over them, I’ve been hearing complaints on reviews on YouTube and other online places that when you turn the headphones on the speakers or other audio equipment doesn’t automatically turn off, if you go to your sound settings on your Xbox go to Volume & audio output then Additional options then go down to Mute speaker audio when headset attached and hey being when you turn on your headphones all other audio like tv speakers and other audio equipment like soundbars etc will be muted, I hope that this will help you.

Great headphones for gaming with some excellent ideas but I cannot get MIC Monitoring to work for me.
It makes no difference whichever setting it’s on – Low, Medium or High – I cannot hear my own voice.
I can only think the MIC length is too short . It’s a shame as the sound quality is brilliant (once tweaked) and the audio controls by twisting each can is a great idea.
A quick search online and it appears I am not alone in experiencing this.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI was on the search for a decent pair of headphones for my xbox as I found that connecting a wired headphone to the controller had 3 issues: 1) lack of volume – no matter what headphone I connected it was just barely loud enough in a quiet room, any noise and I missed conversations in cutscenes. 2) battery drain on the controller 3) and the occasional interference in sound

So I decided to invest in something more substantial and I’m glad I did. This headphone connects to your xbox via Xbox wireless protocol which means no dongle just like the controllers. Pairing takes a few seconds and I’m happy to report it solved all 3 issue mentioned straight away.

Yes sound is tuned towards the bass at its default setting it’s too bass heavy for me, but this can be remedied easily by going into the xbox accessories app (installed by default) and change the equaliser to movie or music mode. This should be fine for most but feel free to play with custom eq settings if you like. After this the sound was great, with really punchy bass still without distortion or overpowering the mid and high tones. Although distortion was not an issue on the default setting and there is a bass boost mode as well if you want to rattle your skull 🙂 the sorround sound for me is very good and I can’t hear any difference when comparing it to my pc gamer headset that is twice as expensive. It’s really convincing and I can easily tell the source of the sound. I don’t play online games on my xbox so I can’t comment on how good this headphone is for competitive online gaming.

The headphone can connect to your pc as well by using type c usb cable, or bluetooth but you don’t get all the surround sound goodies that way. A 3rd option is to buy an xbox wireless adapter for your pc which will enable all the features but this is sold separately and it’s quite steep at 35. There are 3rd party dongles but the ones I’ve seen are just bluetooth dongles and got nothing to do with xbox wireless protocol so be careful what you buy. The headphones can connect to your phone too – again via Bluetooth and again you’ll loose some of the extra features. Unfortunately unlike with a pc the headphone won’t work with the phone with the cable. I tried it on a google pixel, using android 12 and nothing happened other than the headphone starting to charge.

Controls on this headphone has to be the best I tried so far. Super simple and intuitive. On both earcups you have two rotating dials. As in the whole outer part of the earcups rotate. The right side is for volume, and so far I never needed to go over 50% it’s got plenty of power. The right side is for adjusting if you want to game or ingame chat volume to be dominant. For example if you’re playing a coop title with someone and there is a cutscene and they wouldn’t shut up – you can turn the dial to increase the game volume and lower the other gamer’s volume. Other than these you will find a usb-c connector under the right earcup for charging and commecting to pc. And on/off button on the left cup, this is not my favourite. It feels a bit cheap and I’m never sure how long to press it for – but the answer is: until the greeting chime comes on. Next to it is the mic mute button. Speaking of microphone – I was a bit worried that the mic can’t be detached as I said before I don’t play online games so I no need for it. But I’m happy to say that the mic can be tucked away and you wont see a thing, it’s not disturbing at all and it doesn’t wobble around the top of your head like so many others. The end of the mic houses an LED to visually tell you if your mic is on or not. The brightness of this LED can be customised in the settings and I turned it off altogether so my mic is really invisible.

The build quality is really solid. The cans are covered with faux leather but of the nice quality. The band connecting the two is cushioned as well as the cans with memory foam and I found them to be very very comfortable altough I’m not the person who plays long hours. I worn them for 3 hours though and they were still comfortable whilst my old headphones gave me ear fatigue after about 30 minutes.

Dislikes? Only one minor thing and that comes from convenience. Thanks to the xbox wireless protocol the headphone can turn on your xbox when you turn on your headphone and if you turn off your xbox it turns off your headphone. So far so good. But what if I also want to connect my phone. For that I need to turn on my headphone which in turn turns on my xbox. But I only wanted to connect to my phone…well it’s nitpicking really. This headphone is primarily designed for xboxes so I’m not really complaining. Any extra connevtivity is appreciated anyway. It can however connect to your xbox and phone simultaneously so if you’re playing and someone calls you you can answer and have a conversation through the boom mic without stopping the game. Neat! There is an option in the settings to automatically lower the game volume should you wish to enable it.

I do think this is one of the best xbox headphones out there and is a must for xbox gamers. I didn’t find any major issues with the product that would be off putting but if your budget doesn’t allow you to buy this one, there is a wired version for almost half the price straight from Microsoft again without some of the most advanced features. Highly recommended!

    Viel Spa allen Kufern

Great sound quality, especially when paired with the free trial of dolby atmos (cheap keys to continue this after your free months are available if you look around online). With a little tweaking you can get great, cinematic bass without over-compromising on the highs and mids.

The ability to pair with your Xbox and a second device at the same time are super great for listening to podcasts or videos at the same time as gaming without faffing around with the Xbox dashboard. Good that the USB-C cable can be used to connect to devices without bluetooth too, but a shame there’s no 3.5mm jack.

I’ve heard that the mic quality is very good, and the monitoring functionality, adjustable LED, mute button, and flexibility of the mic itself are all great features.

I am a big fan of being able to twist the earcups to adjust the overall volume as well as to alter the mix between Xbox and secondary device, but they aren’t the most accurate or reliable, often not responding to slight adjustments, and then accidentally deafening you as you brush your ear against something. Be nice to have a volume lock and more sensitivity for these problems.

But my biggest gripe is the fact that the headphones themselves are very tight around my head, moreso than most other headphones I’ve used over the years. This makes them uncomfortable for long playing sessions, and results in only using them when I need to chat with other players. I want to use them more for the virtual surround sound which can’t be replicated with my current TV setup, but they clench just a bit too much, and are unsuitable even for watching films with dolby atmos because as soon as my head hits a pillow the volume could go anywhere.

Otherwise, the headset is good, offering a great array of features for the price and very tasty virtual surround sound for stereo headphones. The battery life could’ve been slightly better and the wireless range slightly further away, but if you’re comfortable with the downsides these are a fairly solid all-round pair.

I brought this headset after returning a Corsair Headset that was too big for my head and kept slipping off, at almost half the price of that headset it’s still as good. Replaces a Turtle Beach wires headset with Stereo sound only. Recommend purchasing the full Dolby atmos to get most out of it! It really shines in games like Gears 5 and COD/BF

    Pros:
    – Price
    – Sound Quality
    – Dolby Atmos Includes until September
    – 15mins charge for 3 hours

    Cons:
    – Finish Scuffs Easily
    – Can be bass heavy

Having the volume and game/party mix controls on the ear cups is a really smart design, it’s also nice cool that you can have your phone and Xbox audio coming through at the same time, no need to switch. Only down side is turning on the headphones turns on the Xbox, which is a bit odd. Hopefully they fix that with a software update.

Connects seamlessly and good audio quality, plus comfortable even after fairly long game time.

I was a little unsure about spending so much on headphones. I had the cheap ones (Turtle Bay) which plugged into the controller using an adapter but it was always crackley and slow to engage sometimes. So as a birthday treat, my lovely family gave me enough Amazon vouchers to buy these and they are great.

The sound is rich and deep. The way to adjust the volume (turn the right ear cup) is smooth and simple. Adjusting the game and chat volume is even easier (turn the left ear cup) and I love the way it plays an Xbox sound when you turn them on and off. A little white light appears on the mic when active too and again, that is simple to turn on and off.

My only gripe is that they are a little heavy than my old headset but then again, these are wireless so I guess I should expect that. Love not having a wire attached to my controller anymore!

I think Microsoft missed a trick though. We are gamers. We like pretty but sutble lights on things. So yes, there is a tiny white light at the rear to show they are on and yes, a small white light comes on the mic when on but, you could have lit the green rims on the actual ear cups – that would have been awesome!

Other than that, quality is great and they do the job. I give them an 8 out of 10.

    Great quality and comfy.

So, purchased these on recommendation, as far as function, ease of use and sound quality, they are awesome. However I needed to return as I found them quite uncomfortable. The ear cups were too small and pinched in, meaning I couldn’t wear for any length of time. If its needed my head circumference is 61cm (yes, i have trouble buying hats). That said, if they fit and are comfortable I think you will be absolutely delighted with sound quality, ease of use and features.

I used to have a pair of Turtle Beach headphones for my XBox which needed an adapter that plugged into the controller so you could adjust the volume, etc. These were great, but the adapter wouldn’t work when I upgraded to the new XBox Series X. I could plug the headphones straight into the controller but had no volume control. After seeing good reviews for the new Xbox wireless headphones, decided to get a pair. Straight out of the box, they are easy to set up – just follow the on-screen instructions. Paired very easily with the Series X. They are very light and comfortable to wear. Haven’t had any issues with comfort on long gaming sessions. The best thing I love about them is the volume controls. They are so easy to access, especially mid-game. No messing about squinting at a controller adapter. There’s also a handy on/off switch at the base of the microphone – again, really easy to access. I think the mic automatically mutes when you stop speaking, which is great for cutting out any background noise. I play mainly Battlefield titles and these headphones have transformed the sound. They are very bassy so really boom. I’ve also used them to listen to music – again, they sound superb. The biggest fault with them, though, is that when you turn them on, they automatically turn on your Xbox. This is fine if you’re about to play your Xbox. Not so good if you just want to listen to music. Your Xbox is constantly turning off and on every time you use them. I’ve heard rumours Microsoft is looking to add an option to switch this off, so fingers’ crossed. For their price, these are a great set of headphones and would thoroughly recommend.
