No tiene soporte.
El lpiz no lleva goma pero se puede alternar entre pintar y borrar con el botn frontal.
La punta del lpiz hace un leve ruido al apoya sobre la superficie, esto no pasa en otras marcas.

Es muy buen ejemplo de calidad precio, No he tenido problemas an y la uso bastante, sin problemas de instalacin e intuitiva 100% tactos y acabados muy profesionales, Gran tamao y liviana para lo grande que es, no se calienta la pantalla y funciona perfectamente con un Porttil como fuente de energa, no es necesario tener conectado el enchufe de corriente. Si que recomendara que compre un protector a juego, por que as se alargar la vida de la Xp-Pen. Espero sirva de ayuda. Yo estoy encantado.
Un buon prodotto. La uso per modellare in zbrush e devo dire che va alla grande per ora. Una volta scaricati i driver dal sito la funzionalit immediata.

After having tried a similar product from a Chinese competitor, I was a bit weary of this new generation of Oriental display tablets. It left me feeling the technology hadn’t been fully understood or evolved to take on the undisputed market leader (Wacom).
When I stumbled across an incredibly good Black Friday offer from XP-pen (Japanese), I decided to throw the dice once more and ordered the Artist 15.6.
Things started going very well from that point on: it arrived a day early to start with. The packaging presented well and once un-boxed the tablet felt well designed, well made and well finished. Some reviewers thought it a bit plastic-y, I can’t imagine why, unless expectations were set at the gold-inlaid brushed titanium level.
Set-up and connecting was a doodle. Driver install ditto. I had a minor issue with the resolution, but thanks to great online support that was quickly resolved (it was a Windows setting, nothing to do with the product).
I’ve used it for a few days now with Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop – no issues. Drawing is easy and natural, surface resistance is right for me and the tablet reacts well to pen pressure. The parallax (the apparent difference of the pointer position from the the tip of the pen due to the thickness of the glass) is well within tolerance for me – I got used to it in about half an hour. Oh, and it comes with a battery-free stylus. It could do with more function keys though – should have gotten the pro perhaps.
Overall, great product, great price. Couldn’t say whether this is a Wacom killer but it’s certainly in the same ballpark.
La compr en una oferta poco antes de un Black Friday a unos 225 y no puedo estar ms contento. Es perfecta. Llevaba tiempo queriendo usar una tablet para hacer garabatos en After Effects y ahora estoy usndola para prcticamente todo, adems, te vale de segundo monitor. Perfecta.

The only downsides I will say is that there’s lots of cable going on, and there isn’t actually a case available specifically for it! But any laptop sleeve 18″ across should fit it fine.

Amazing tablet for anyone that takes drawing seriously, it’s a big upgrade from those tablets where you don’t draw directly on the screen such as Wacom Intuos, and very satisfying and addicting experience to draw on. Just in case it isn’t clear, this product is basically a second monitor with a touch screen. It only takes the special pen as input instead of your fingers, so leaning with your hand on the screen for stability is perfectly fine.
Because of the thickness of the glass of the screen, which creates a kind of parallax effect where you kind of draw ‘above’ the actual screen. This takes a bit of getting used to, but if you make sure you don’t look at the screen from an angle, it’s fine. Also another thing I noticed is that the cursor is not exactly where the pen touches the screen when you hold the pen at a different angle, which some drawing techniques require. However, since you can still see the cursor, it just takes a tiny bit of extra coordination and isn’t a problem most of the time.
The display looks great, it’s the same size and resolution as a quality laptop screen. After some calibration, the colors still don’t look exactly the same as my normal screen, but it’s close enough for me to work. When you draw, there is a bit of lag where the brush stroke has to catch up with your pen, which I think even the Wacom Cintiq has. It shouldn’t affect your drawing, you don’t have to slow down your strokes.
Overall advice: If you’re only just getting into digital drawing, I suggest a cheaper drawing tablet without screen to start off with. It may feel less intuitive to learn the muscle memory, but with a basic drawing tablet you can already make professional quality work if you have the skill. The Pen Artist tablet is best for people who want to take digital drawing to the next level and have more comfort and better quality.
I bought this for my 13 year old daughter who is into drawing cartoons etc. We connected it up and after a little difficulty getting the computer to understand that it now had 3 screens, everything was very easy.
She was drawing within a very short time and had already begun to explore adding animation and doing things that I didn’t know were possible with such a well priced item. Absolutely fantastic.
J’utilise cette tablette en tant que professionnel et je suis globalement satisfait de la prcision. Seul bmol, un lger dcallage du stylet si on ne travail pas verticalement l’cran. Mais pour le prix vous pouvez y aller sans problme. Par contre j’ai eu un probleme de niveau de pression avec photoshop, vite rgl en allant sur le site de xp-pen (il y a le tuto).
Very good quality and value for money… just need to install Windows Ink then it works great with Photoshop…
I’m an industrial designer so I use it for my work daily, I have found it confortable to work with. It can have little hiccups occasionally ie. Pen sensitivity can jump a little but most of the time it’s been fine.
For me its not really an issue as I mostly use it for photo editing and post processing renders. Any sketching I do, tends to be fairly quick simple drawings so the occasional jumps haven’t bothered me.
Overall the build quality is great.
I have a wacom bamboo but wanted a tablet with a screen this has been perfect for me due to the budget value.
Using the pen felt slightly better on my bamboo but that might be just the difference of the pen gliding along a screen on the xp.
I would definetly recommend to university students especially on induatrial/product design courses, or anyone in industrial design jobs that occasionally would need a tablet.
If I was a professional artist I probably wouldn’t go for this as it does not run smoothly all the time, so may be a little frustrating.

Per chi lavora nella grafica e cerca un prodotto di buona qualit, ma non pu spendere cifre elevate, consiglio vivamente questa tavoletta grafica. Arrivata nella propria confezione, completa di tutti, compresi cavetti ed ogni tipi di adattatore, guanto per lavorare e pezzuola pulisci schermo. La penna ha una buona ergonomia. unica pecca la sensibilit in prossimit dei bordi e degli angoli che spesso non viene preso il tocco. Consigliatissima!
Une tablette trs trs agrable. Je l’utilise avec le logiciel CSP et je ne regrette absolument pas l’achat. Elle est grande, les boutons raccourcis sont utiles.
Le stylet ne se recharge pas (c’est un gros plus) et il n’est pas utile d’appuyer trs fort pour obtenir de bons rsultats pression.
Il vaut ses quatre toiles! LArgement! 🙂

I had 3 screens and this works as a 4th screen. I would recommend getting a screen protector for this as after alil time drawing on the screen the pen can scratch the screen unless you’re a light drawer. If your computer to sleep sometimes when you wake it up it loses the pen but it can usually be solved by unplugging the screen tablet and plugging it in again.

Aunque el precio puede parecer ms atractivo que otras tabletas de la competencia, hay que tener en cuenta que para “funcionar” se necesita comprar el pie de apoyo que son como 40 euros ms, cosa que no se necesitan la mayora de las otras.
Obviamente sigue saliendo a mucho mejor precio que una Wacom, pero ya no tanto si lo comparamos con las otras marcas del estilo (huion, gaomon…)
La tableta esta bien, tiene parallax y el color falla un poco, sobretodo en rosados, pero si puedes chequear con la pantalla principal tampoco es un gran problema, contando que cuesta menos de la mitad que una Wacom del mismo tamao. De todas formas, yo la recomiendo como una pantalla amateur o para un uso profesional que no sea muy necesario el uso estricto del color, si es para cualquier otra cosa creo que cumple con las expectativas.
Un “fallo” que he encontrado en la ma y que no se si pasa en todas, es que el protector de pantalla que viene incorporado se ralla con suma facilidad. Yo no he hecho un uso extensivo, ni aprieto ms de lo normal y la tengo muy rallada, cosa que molesta en zonas oscuras que es cuando se ve. Por lo que habra que sumar unos 20-30 euros ms para comprar un protector decente que es lo que tendr que hacer en breve.
Seguramente con otro protector o sin este que trae, los colores se vean algo mejor, pero el problema de los rosados que se ven muy saturados no creo que cambie mucho.

Llevo casi un mes utilizndola cada da y su funcionamiento es perfecto, aunque en el futuro comprar una lmina protectora porque con el tiempo quedarn unas pequeas marcas de uso.
En resumen, un gran producto y totalmente recomendable.

I was torn between this XP-Pen Artist 15.6 and the recently announced Wacom Cintiq 16 (I currently use an old Wacom Intuos 5 tablet). But the Cintiq doesn’t have express buttons and XP-Pen appeared on sale and the price difference sealed the deal.
The XP-Pen arrived well packaged and with a (removable) screen protector already installed. I use an early 2011 MacBook Pro and installing the drivers was a simple process (following the manufacturers driver installation instruction). I was able to forego the power adaptor and power the display directly from my MacBook Pro USB. The display is bright and clear and I was able to adjust to match my laptop screen.
Calibrating the pen pointer on the screen is straightforward but you need to keep your head still (in the position you would draw) and then touch the 5 points on screen, with the pen (if you move your head around while touching the 5 calibration points, you will end up with the pointer not matching up with the pen nib across all corners of the screen when in use).
The pen is similar in style to my Wacom Classic and is comfortable to use but its not perfect – the nib is made of quite a hard material (harder than the Wacom) and can feel a little ‘scratchy’ on the screen if moving it rapidly in short movements. The pen has two customisable buttons but the click action is quite weak, and I found I pressed them by accident too often. So much so that I have disabled them.
There are also 6 express keys on the tablet that can be programmed to suit your requirements. I would really miss these if I had gone the Cintiq 16 route. I use them constantly on my Intuos and they work well on the Artist 15.6
Early days, but so far the XP-Pen Artist 15.6 has exceeded my expectations. I use it with Photoshop CC, Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, Artrage 5 and Rebelle 3 and it has performed flawlessly.
If the pen was a match for my Wacom Classic it would be 5/5 rather than 4.5/5

Very good product and the size is perfect.At first i was very concered because my drawing programe didnt show on the tablet like it did on the computer,for that all you have to do is click and drag the programs window all the way to the right or left until it show on the tablet.
We did buy this product for a teenager as a Christmas present. The express delivery was super fast. The way the product was packed is simply awesome – all the damages are avoided for sure. I am not that much into graphic design or drawing, but from what I have experienced, it is made from sturdy materials, liked all the acceccories range included and the ease of setting it for straightaway use. I would definitely reccommend this tablet to anyone who is looking into graphic design as a beginner/intermediate user and is looking for some affordable alternative to professional expensive computers.

L’ho presa in sostituzione di una Huion che mi aveva dato problemi di ogni tipo sin dall’inizio.
Ne sono molto contenta. Nessun problema con OSX come invece avevo avuto con la Huion.
Anche l’aspetto e i materiali sono buoni. Mi limito alle 4 stelle solo perch non l’ho ancora usata moltissimo.

Ca fait un bon budget, mais les possibilits sont normes ! Y a de quoi faire du travail de pro !
Pour la tablette, la taille est grande quand on la sort de la bote, mais cela donne un trs bon confort visuel et de travail.
L’adaptation entre un stylet et le crayon papier est trs rapide.
Il faut quelques essais enfin de comprendre les rglages basiques et trouver la bonne mthode de travail, je conseil grandement les tutos “Clip studio” qui existent sur le net.
En mode “basique” c’est dire un seul calque qui sert de feuille de papier, les enfants s’clatent, les grands aussi !
Points ngatif : peut tre les rayures sur l’cran dans le temps., voir…
Es mi primera tableta grfica para el Pc con pantalla, ya tuve una wacom sin pantalla bsica, esta va al mismo nivel pero con pantalla, la compr supereconmica en el black friday y es una compra de 10/10, si quieres dar un paso ms all en el mundo del diseo/ilustracin y adentrarte a un monitor grfico sin duda es una buena opcin. Es otro nivel a la hora de dibujar comparado con las tabletas tradicionales en las que tienes que mirar al monitor mientras dibujas en la tableta, en esta se solucionan muchos problemas y hace que el trabajo sea muchsimo ms rpido.
Compatible con muchos programas, de pago y se software libre. Recomiendo kripa, gimp o por supuesto photoshop. A m en particular no me hizo falta instalar ni reajustar nada, se hizo solo
Module d’installation des rglages des boutons ne se lance pas, malgr les recherches sur Internet. Heureusement que l’on connat les raccourcis clavier. Sinon elle convient trs bien.

Per me che ho sempre usato – trovandomi piuttosto male – i costosissimi prodotti wacom, il rapporto qualit prezzo di questa tavoletta qualcosa di incredibile. Non do 5 stelle solo perch il driver, per quanto funzionale, non curatissimo (ad esempio i tasti funzione sono mappabili correttamente solo con layout di tastiera americana) e perch per assurdo l’unico software che mi sta dando qualche grattacapo quello della Adobe, in particolare Illustrator (anche se Immagino non dipenda neanche da XP-PEN). Da prendere a occhi chiusi.
J’ai achet cette tablette pour mon fils et je l’ai test son arrive, tout marche nickel seul reproche la notice qui, pour une novice comme moi n’tait pas assez clair au niveau des branchements. Je la recommande.

El lapiz en si es bastante bueno, viene con varios recambios dentro de el reposa lapiz, la punta es facilmente extraible con el mismo y lo mejor es que no necesita baterias.
La pantalla me parece genial, su tamao es como el de una carpeta, solamente necesita un cable USB tipo C conectado, tiene 6 botones de atajos preprogramados pero modificables y viene con protector de pantalla incluido.
Por ultimo el cable tiene una longitud aceptable, si no me equivocop de unos 2 o 2,5 metros mas o menos. A mi se me quedo algo corto pero como ya dije es una buena longitud.

Nel dettaglio:
-I driver funzionano bene e sono facili da installare e funzionano bene (scaricate i pi recenti dal sito) ma vi richiederanno di rimuovere i driver di altri tablet quindi tenetene conto.
-Lo schermo si vede bene con colori neutri e una buona luminosit. Impostate 1080p con proporzione di zoom 100% (windows 10 tende a mettere 150% quindi va cambiato).
-La penna risponde bene ma la curva di pressione di fabbrica non perfetta quindi dovete regolarla dai driver (piuttosto semplice).
-I tasti sono facili da programmare e sono utili per usare la tastiera il meno possibile.
Aspetto negativo: Il primo pulsante sulla penna si preme facilmente per sbaglio e quindi ho dovuto disabilitarlo dai driver.
Je suis tatoueur et pour les dessins et montage photos, il m’est indispensable maintenant que je l’ai essay.

Petit dfaut mineure, malgr la calibration de l’cran, le stylet ne semble pas reprsenter la position rel du curseur, mais ce n’est peut-tre qu’un problme de calibration.
Fonctionne aussi bien pour de l’utilisation 2D (Photoshop, Illustrator, Luminar, Lightroom) que pour de la 3D (Blender, ZBrush). Les boutons personnalisable sont trs pratique.
Ho acquistato questa tavoletta perch ne cercavo una dotata di schermo che non costasse eccessivamente. La qualit dei materiali ottima e la tavoletta mi ha veramente soddisfatto, soprattutto considerando il prezzo a cui venduta rispetto alle altre tavolette con schermo.
Scelta consigliata a chi vuole approcciarsi per la prima volta col disegno su PC e a chiunque desideri una tavoletta dotata di schermo ad un prezzo abbordabile.

llevo ms de un mes usndola, ni un solo problema bajo windows 10 ni con Photoshop, Paint Tool SAI o Krita, el lpiz es muy cmodo y al no hacer uso de bateras como los de wacom no tienes que estar demasiado atento al lpiz salvo cuando se gasta la punta que eso es normal en todas las marcas.
de momento un producto de 10 por el precio, si, se que no es una buena cintiq y el efecto parallax a veces se nota un peln, pero seamos sinceros, la cintiq ms barata cuesta 800 y ofrece casi lo mismo.
Con questa tavoletta mi sto trovando veramente bene. La sto usando attivamente da un mesetto e dopo aver settato la pressione della penna sia col programma apposito che con quello di grafica ho trovato il settaggio pi comodo per me.
– La tavoletta di buona manifattura e ha un ampio schermo. Ho applicato una pellicola protettiva opaca (una semplice, grandezza 15.6) perch ho notato che senza, qualche graffietto della penna sullo schermo rimaneva.
– Ottima la penna che funziona senza batterie, leggerissima.
– Deliziosa scoperta il fatto che possibile evitare di attaccarla alla presa elettrica, bastano i cavi usb (ho notato che questa particolarit alcune tavolette della top gamma non hanno e necessitano di un ulteriore cavo).
– Non ho avuto nessun problema con i driver, cosa che purtroppo alcuni hanno riscontrato.

NB: appena acquistata la tavoletta ho avuto dei problemi con una penna mal funzionante, il servizio clienti Xp Pen stato impeccabile… contattati immediatamente, hanno proceduto a sostituirmi la stessa con una nuova arrivata nel giro di pochi giorni e con ulteriori punte in regalo.

Aun que ech de menos que ya viniese un soporte para poder trabajar con la tableta ya que es indispensable para esta clase de productos.
la qualit d’image (rsolution et panel de couleurs) et trs satisfaisante pour mon usage non professionnel. L’installation est extrmement rapide et simple de mme que la prise en main qui se fait assez vite et bien plus naturellement qu’avec une tablette sans cran. Pour le prix et les capacits de la bte, c’est selon moi un trs bon investissement pour les usages non professionnels de personnes souhaitant passer sur un cran.
La tablette n est malheureusement pas sans dfaut: un gros point ngatif selon moi est la facilit avec laquelle le stylet laisse des marques sur l ecran, je n ai jamais transport la tablette et j enlve toujours mes bijoux avant de l’utiliser avec le gant fournis, donc toutes les micros rayures qui sont dessus sont forcement l’oeuvre du stylet… c’est parfois lgrement gnant pour des travaux aux teintes foncs ou quand la lumire reflte directement dessus… Elle a l’air aussi vieille est use que mon ancienne tablette aprs seulement quelques mois d’utilisation.
Bref, je n’ai eu aucun soucis lors la mise en marche. tlcharger le pilote sur le site et la documentation. c’est trs simple mettre en route.
les 8192 niveaux de pression donne l’impression de dessiner sur papier. Le calibrage est un peu fastidieux faire mais une fois fait, c’est agrable.
Bref, pour le moment, une excellente tablette pour un prix des plus raisonnable.
Pour gagner de l’espace, il faut pas dupliquer votre cran et mais l’tendre. Sous windows 10 : (touche Windows + P)
IMPORTANT : Pensez cochez “windows ink” dans le menu du pilote, sinon, la pression de votre stylet risque de ne pas tre reconnu dans certains logiciels comme Clip Studio Paint.

To start with, as soon as I removed it from the package I noticed the bottom right corner of the screen isn’t fit properly into the case, and it sticks up about 1-2 millimetres and I keep catching my arm on the sharp-ish edge when I’m drawing. I’m sure I could fix this myself, but I don’t feel like digging around in a product I just bought.
Secondly, and most annoyingly, is the pen. I LOVE this pen, it is a great improvement from my previous tablet the Huion H610 which has a very chunky pen. The slick design of this pen feels great in my hand, but the buttons are also slick, and they fit almost flush into the grip so occasionally I’ll brush them with the edge of my thumb and accidentally switch to the erase tool halfway through a drawing and have to undo; not a major issue but it does pop up every now and then. Next is something I think is a driver issue, but I have the most recent driver installation. Sometimes when I use the tablet, there will be a glitch in that every brush stroke will have no pen pressure, and will sometimes be transparent with blocky circles of full pressure black dots. I’ve looked online and can’t find anything. Restarting the devices does nothing and I have to restart my entire PC for it to work, or restart the driver which will sometimes fix it but sometimes not.
Along the bottom of the case are a few pretty deep scratches that I’m relatively sure aren’t my doing because most of the time that area of the screen is resting on my stomach, however it could also be where I’ve brushed it against the drawer that I store the tablet in when I’m not using it. This is really a non-issue, as it could be entirely my fault, but I thought I’d bring it up in case someone has had the same thing and it’s not me.
The wire for this tablet is great, the all-in-one wire design is perfect for portable use or desk use. I love the way the port for the wire is a good half inch inside the case so that the plug won’t be damaged by moving the tablet around. The adaptor that comes with it is great as well, and I can use it for travelling as a permanent charger if I ever travel abroad!
A lot of the issues of this tablet are completely pushed aside by what a great device it is. The design for it is amazing, everything down to the packaging. I’m sure everyone has put this in their reviews already, but the flash drive with the drivers on is incredibly innovative and I love it. The packaging itself is minimalistic and amazing looking, definitely something to keep if you’re like me and enjoy collecting your device boxes both in case you ever sell them or just because you like the look of a shelf full of cool boxes. The inside is just as great, and the fact that the wire comes in a box instead of just in a small indent is great for organization and something that more companies could take from smartphone boxes.
The screen itself is good quality, and has the best colour quality of all three of my main desk monitors. Sadly I found an issue with the angles; there’s little to no glare or image distortion from different angles, but from more obtuse angles like, for example, if I have the device flat on my desk and want to sit normally so my back doesn’t hurt, the tablet loses a lot of saturation, so I’m forced to have the tablet on my stomach with the base resting against my desk if I want to get colour work done, or pay for the stand which quite frankly is really expensive, though looking at some reviews of it it looks like a great stand. Still, it’s a sixth of the price of the device itself which is something I rarely see and am not willing to spend for an accessory, especially considering the pen itself is only $16, considerably cheaper than the stand, but so much more important, it just seems ridiculously overpriced to me. I will also need to get a separate screen protector because I am noticing a lot of very easily noticeable scratches on the surface of the screen.
Overall this is a great device. Even though I’ve spoken about a lot of PROBLEMS in this review, there are so many great things that are made a hundred times greater by the relatively cheap price. I would recommend it to anyone just starting out with Monitor drawing tablets, but for more professional permanent uses I might recommend something else, though I’m neither professional nor am I doing this permanently so I can’t give a solid opinion on that. I really wish that the device didn’t have this pen bug that requires me to restart anything, and the screen was fitted in properly, because if those two conditions were met this would be Five Stars, definitely.

I measure any digital drawing device on whether it’s as responsive as Wacom’s stuff and seeing the great reviews of XP-PEN’s Artist range and being impressed with the videos of how responsive it was, I thought I’d take the plunge – after all, this tablet screen is half the price of Wacom’s nearest competitor (the Cintiq 13HD), is a larger screen but appears to offer the same functionality.
First off, the kit arrived very quickly (ordered on the monday with standard delivery, here by the wednesday for a UK delivery – most impressive).
Kit was packaged in an external box with minimum padding, but thankfully the XP Pen box has plenty of foam inside to ensure your device reaches you in decent condition (assuming of course that your courier doesn’t use it as a football. ALWAYS always buy through ‘fulfilled by Amazon’ as you’ll have a better chance of claiming back if your device is damaged in transit).
Unboxing is fairly simple. The screen itself is actually quite large, was surprised by that at first after the Intuos Pro Medium, so you get a huge drawing area.
I couldn’t find anything in the accompanying manuals etc that showed a wiring diagram for the cables but have wired up Cintiqs before at work, so pretty much knew what was going where (just make sure the red USB goes into the power, HDMI goes into the back of your PC or Mac, other USB goes into your computer into a dedicated port and you’ll be ready to go).
The display was picked up instantly by my mac. I downloaded the latest driver from the XP-PEN site (you can install the CD version of course, but I always work straight from the latest drivers supplied by the manufacturer).
I should’ve read the help guides more clearly at first. I couldn’t get the tablet to behave how I wanted – but realised my old Wacom drivers were interfering with things, so make sure you properly remove all those – and of course unplug your Wacom if you have one on your present setup. Once drivers are removed and the XP-Pen drivers are reinstalled you’ll see the proper panel where you can test pressure settings etc and (most importantly) quickly calibrate the tablet using a 5 point system to ensure the cursor is exactly where you want it. Some folk choose to have the pointer offset so they can see it while they draw but I preferred to have it right under the pen nib.
I tested the device with a range of different software. First, Painter 2018 where a quick bit of pen tracking gave me exactly the results I was hoping and praying for. Nice quick responsive lines, pressure working fine. Did not test tilt but I don’t tend to use it anyway. Painter was, by far, the easiest package to set up.
Then Photoshop (CS6). I found that I really needed to tweak individual brush settings as they seemed to be switched off, and the standard brushes / pressure brushes never seemed to be quite ‘dark’ enough unless I pressed really hard (and when you’ve just spent a bunch of cash on a device, the last thing you want to do is damage it by being over-zealous). Once I’d tweaked opacity / flow / pressure settings, things got a lot better. Was just a bit odd to have to do that from the outset but bear this in mind if you’re again coming from a Wacom setup where you tend to get fairly dark lines from the get-go (one annoyance with the device was that it didn’t seem to make any difference what I did in the XP-Pen setup panel with regards to ‘click light / heavy’ slider, so that could’ve been better. In general the XP-Pen software does the bare minimum to allow you to test your pen’s pressure is working, set up your hotkeys and calibrate, would really have loved more fine control over the darkness / opacity settings for pressure there too).
Last software I tested was my go-to for digital art, Clip Studio. Now, Clip Studio has a VERY good pressure / brush tracking adjustment panel that ‘automatically’ sets Clip Studio up either with single or multiple strokes to change a graph to reflect your drawing style. Alas, I found that I had to manually tweak the curve here to again get a dark enough mark without pressing too hard. After a lot of tweaking, testing, re-tweaking I finally got things to where I wanted them.
The biggest change for me was altering from looking at a monitor and not what my ‘tablet hands’ were doing (as with the Intuos) to treating the XP-Pen display like a proper sketch pad. Once I got my brain in the right place, it started to feel like this was going to become my new favourite gadget and I can do far more detailed digital work than I’ve ever been able to before. It is a bit like riding a bike though, at first I kept accidentally ‘dabbing’ the pen when initially starting a stroke (imagine drawing with a leaky Bic biro, that’s what was happening for me) but once you realise your stroke will immediately happen, you start to adapt to that.
Kit wise, the build quality of the screen is fantastic (and I was pleased to see that you only have one USB-C sized wire going into the screen itself from your computer, older Cinqtiqs have a mess of cables trailing out of the side of the thing and that can be really fiddly). The ‘matt grainy’ screen cuts down on glare but might annoy a few folk who want shiny clear screens (personally I’d have loved this a lot more if it had a tough gorilla-glass type screen but that would’ve added to the weight and the cost too, no doubt).
Stylus does feel a little on the ‘cheap’ side compared to Wacom’s, but of course you get what you pay for and at least it’s battery / charge free just like a Wacom one. And the flip side of this is that you can get a pack of 50 stylus nibs for just over a tenner, compared to Wacom’s extortionate prices for their “hairbrush bristles”.
The nib stand has extra nibs inside (I think there are ten of them) so you need to twist the base to undo it, and the nibs are stuck in little holders inside. The underside of the nib base allows you to ‘hook’ the nibs out of your stylus to change them over. Nice design that, Wacom didn’t think of that!
The kit comes with a palm-rejecting glove though I think this is more to prevent your sweaty mitts messing up your screen which isn’t touch-sensitive anyway. If you’re one of those lucky folk who doesn’t get sweaty hands when drawing in the summer, more power to you. Kit also comes with a cleaning cloth, extended warranty and a (fairly unintuitive) manual but there’s tons and tons more info on the XP-Pen website and they seem to offer excellent customer support.
SO if you’re in the same situation I was – wanting a Cintiq but not wanting to line Wacom’s pockets with 650 of your hard earned cash for the bottom of the range model, this offers a really nice compromise. I’ve spent a chunk of time with it just getting used to the changes in working, and though I don’t consider myself anything special art-wise, the price of this and the functionality definitely suit me far more than spending more money for a ‘pro’ solution.
UPDATE:
Thought I’d add some updates to this after a couple of weeks of heavy use
1) BUY A SCREEN PROTECTOR FOR THIS! No kidding, and everyone else has pretty much said the same thing – the screen gets scratched very easily due to the anti-glare plastic used on it. With just a couple of weeks of use it’s already pretty scratched up and that’s with me using fairly minimal pressure settings (so soft presses / harder marks). I guess the stylus nibs are a lot harsher than they look. I purchased the BroTect Artist 15.6 screen protector from here and it’s absolutely perfect, was very easy to fit, does NOT affect tablet sensitivity, is matte (very important for anti-glare) and (so far, fingers crossed) appears to be as scratch resistant as the manufacturers claim).
2) BE PREPARED TO CALIBRATE A LOT! I seem to have to recalibrate every time I use the product since the last update. It seems to be annoyingly just out of kilter to the pen’s pointer most of the time (annoyingly, behind the nib itself) but calibration does at least sort it out – just a shame the settings never seem to stay put
3) THE NEW PRESSURE SETTINGS NEVER SEEM TO ‘STICK’. Again I seem to have to adjust these with every use. I think Windows users get a slightly better panel and don’t seem to have this issue, but again several mac users who’ve reviewed this will bear me out, you will need to adjust the tablet’s settings quite a bit to get the results you want and to avoid ‘blobbing’ (ie a dark bead of a mark whenever you put stylus to screen in certain packages – most notably Clip Studio with any of the pens).
I will still leave this at 4 stars, but very disappointed the screen scratched so quickly without any kind of misuse / abuse (though to be fair, I have no idea if you’d get this on more expensive screen tablets too)
A sign from above to go ahead! I purchased the tablet almost a week ago and I have not looked back. It’s amazing. I still have lots to learn which is exciting because I know that I will be able to create some great artwork.
I’m using it for Illustrator, Photoshop, Blender, Zbrush & a whole bunch of other software packages. Works fine with everything, No issues at all.
Make sure you remove any other graphic tablet drivers before you start using the XP-Pen. I had the drivers for an old Wacom Bamboo installed and it was preventing me from using the XP-Pen. Aside from that, setup was very easy.
The pen is surprisingly light.
You may have to change the way you hold a stylus to get the best results. Keeping the pen at 90 degrees to the surface.
I ordered the XP-Pen stand too. Also very good, but the metal edges on the hold our rest could be a little smoother.

EDIT: I’ve noticed some small scratches appearing on the screen as I use the tablet. I’m waiting on XP Pen to get back to me with an answer to why this is happening.
PROS
*Thin at 12mm but very strong – great portability, I often take the graphics tablet to and from various locations, but you’ll need a big case!
*Easy to set up and use – powered through USB so doesn’t require a wall connection (at least not when using my Macbook Pro with it)
*Great pen pressure (8192 levels!) – my graphics look really slick and even better than my usual handwriting on pen and paper.
*Comes with some nice ancillary attachments – well made anti-fouling glove and solid pen holder with extra nibs (although I don’t think I’ll ever get through all of them!)
*Great & bright looking screen – the IPS display was clearly a good choice to implement in the Artist 15.6 – it looks as good as my Macbook Pro retina display so there’s no problems between switching looking at both of the screens after a few hours of use.
*Passive pen! Doesn’t require batteries so no headaches having to remember to keep the pen charged, I just chuck it in with my tablet in the bag after use and away I go.
*6 adjustable buttons on the side – all customisable through the software available either on the CD given or the XP-Pen website, more buttons than I’m going to need for my work but a breath of fresh air coming from my Wacom Bamboo with only 2 buttons.
*Super easy to set up the drivers and integration into my software packages (Fusion 360, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Autodesk Sketchbook)
*Packaging was excellent – three layers of protection including the carry case, internal box and foam packaging – arrived in perfect condition.
CONS
*No included stand, but after having used it flat on the desk for a while it doesn’t seem to be too much of a problem. I’ll look at getting an articulating arm for this as would be more suitable for my workstation and keeping the tablet out of the way.
*Pen doesn’t feel as solid as some battery-powered alternatives but this a very small trade off considering the gain in functionality of not having to charge it!
THE VERDICT
An absolutely fantastic Wacom alternative, especially if this is your first graphics tablet. Would strongly recommend to any one looking to buy a graphics tablet.

Purtroppo ho dovuto rendere la tavoletta (servizio resi Amazon, impeccabile).
Il motivo stato il seguente: una volta installata, la tavoletta non mostrava la risoluzione massima, come da descrizione.
Ho contattato il customer service della XP-Pen, chiedendo aiuto e alla fine era solamente dovuto al settaggio del display che da 150% andava impostato al 100%.
Immediatamente dopo aver risolto questo, la penna come impazzita. Funzionava alla pari di un mouse col il tasto sinistro premuto rendendola inutilizzabile. Sentiva la pressione, e nient’altro e prima ancora di toccare lo schermo con la punta.
Ho ricontattato la XP-Pen, che si sono ritrovati spiazzati in quanto non si era mai presentato questo problema. Nel frattempo ho disintallato e reinstallato i driver due volte, e la penna riprendeva a funzionare per un momento, poi si “incantava” di nuovo.
Poi, dal nulla, ha ripreso a funzionare – anche se ogni tanto mentre disegnavo faceva per pochi secondi lo stesso problema -, finch due giorni dopo letteralmente morta.
La XP-Pen si offerta di inviarmi gratuitamente una nuova penna, tuttavia ho preferito procedere col reso per non trovarmi ulteriori sorprese.
Con ci, non voglio assolutamente frenare qualcuno dall’acquisto di questa tavoletta, perch molto probabilmente sono stata solo sfortunata. Quindi lascio una mia personale lista di Pro e Contro che spero possa tornarvi utile:

– Prezzo
– Dimensione, ideale per lavorare, perch grande quanto basta per non affaticare gli occhi e non stancare la mano.
– Shortcuts
– Colori belli brillanti
– La tavoletta non si scalda assolutamente
– Penna senza batteria
– Schermo piacevole su cui lavorare. La superficie matt aiuta, ma disegni che un piacere.
– Customer Service XP-Pen: gentilissimi, molto disponibili. Mi hanno seguito passo passo senza batter ciglio. Esperienza molto positiva!
Contro:
– I driver hanno molto margine di miglioramento. Nonostante avessi impostato la pressione al massimo, comunque per ottenere un tratto pi spesso dovevo premere parecchio.
– La penna ha dei materiali di una qualit molto inferiore rispetto una penna Wacom. Non che mi aspettassi lo stesso livello, tenendo conto del prezzo, tuttavia credo potrebbe essere realizzata con pi cura. Agganciandomi a quanto detto sopra, le punte in particolare non sono resistenti. Dovendo premere per ottenere una certa pressione, ho dovuto sostituire la prima punta dopo una settimana perch gi a “scalpello”. Per fare un paragone, con la penna della mia vecchia Bamboo Wacom, andavo avanti mesi con la stessa punta.
Lascio 4 stelle perch, ripeto, probabile che sia stata solo sfortunata e abbia ricevuto una penna difettosa.
Vi invito comunque a provarla, anche perch fortunatamente in caso di problemi, Amazon risolve sempre tutto 😉

L’installazione rapida e facile, anche grazie al manuale d’istruzione molto chiaro.
Prende un po’ di tempo la calibrazione, ma una volta sistemato va’ alla perfezione.
La sto utilizzando in questi giorni e devo dire che fa il suo lavoro egregiamente.
Ha una bella superficie ed molto ampia per lavorare, la giusta via di mezzo per disegnare senza stancare troppo la mano.
Arriva con molti accessori, e gi con gli adattatori necessari ad ogni tipo di utilizzo.
Al momento sono davvero soddisfatta dell’acquisto e la consiglio tantissimo!
Il suffit de bien brancher les 3 cbles et la tablette fonctionne immdiatement (en effet les drivers sur CD ne sont pas jour, prenez ceux du site). L’image est belle. Les couleurs se rglent aisment. Le software pour configurer les touches est simple.
J’utilisais une petite intuos Draw depuis 2ans, je n’ai eu aucun problme me poser sur celle-ci.
Le stylet est agrable aussi.
Je dplore galement une petite house de protection, je vais essayer de lui trouver a 🙂
Aprs calibrage (trs simple faire), la tablette fonctionne superbement bien. Je suis sur windows 7 et photoshop CC, je n’ai aucun soucis. Pas de jitter, et je ne ressens pas de parallaxe, il doit tre vraiment tout petit petit. Branchement simple, une rallonge USB est mme fournie au cas o 😮
La tablette en elle mme est trs belle et lgre, manquerait plus qu’un tui protecteur pour pouvoir la glisser dans son sac avec son pc portable et hop ! Cette taille est vraiment parfaite, ni trop grande (pour les petits bureaux et pour se balader avec – faisant de la formation a me sera utile), ni trop petite (pour pas se casser les yeux), une belle surface de travail.
Les couleurs sont pas mauvaises mais pas top non plus. Mieux vaut vrifier ses couleurs sur un bon cran calibr et faire qqs retouche si ncessaire (il me semble que les crans Wacom sont de mme qualit niveau reproduction des couleurs.. donc bon…).
L’cran n’a pas l’air de chauffer mme aprs plusieurs heures d’utilisation d’affiles.
La texture du filtre anti reflet est super chouette 8) un vrai plaisir de griffonner dessus, j’espre qu’il ne rayera pas trop vite force d’utilisation !
Les raccourcis sur le cots sont top, le clic est agrable, pas besoin d’appuyer trop fort, juste ce qu’il faut.
J’aurai tout de mme aim au moins 2 touches de plus. 6 touches c’est vraiment juste.
Le stylus est bien, lger (plus lger que les stylus wacom), lgrement triangulaire, plutt chouette prendre en main du coup. Il est non rechargeable et a, c’est un gros gros plus. La ractivit sur l’cran est nickel.
Un bmol pour le support du stylus, le stylus ne tient pas bien droit dedans et tombe facilement. On peut le poser l’horizontal, mais je trouve a moins pratique. En fait je prfrai un support sur le cot de la tablette (interchangeable pour les gaucher/droitier) pour y clipser le stylus.
Pour le moment, vu le prix mini et vu sa qualit vraiment top je suis ravie de mon achat :3
