was on the verge of returning as connecting the samsung smartphone did not match the instructions witch were either with the device or on line , until i changed the setting for hdmi output on the phone from samsung dex to screen mirroring in which case it worked as expected , there was no mention of this in any documantation, have only purchased for use on holiday where i suspect the tv will not able to connect to any modern features so a phone filled with movies should keep the kids occupied, have tried a solid state hard drive without any luck but being usb 3 may be the problem.
Picture quality is amazing. The sound isn’t the best (my family is semi deaf so that’s probably why!!) but it hooked up to a sound bar very easily.
Best thing was my dog chewed up the remote two days after buying it. Spoke to customer service who are sending me out a new remote and we’re super fast at replying.
I’m using this both as entertainment and my sons home schooling and it works really well for us

The pic quality is amazing my first projector , and I was worried didn’t work with Netflix ect , but it does I use through my fire stick and I love it , so much cheaper than a new tv for my bedroom. Very easy to use
After using it for a couple of months, I had a problem with the projector so I contacted Amazon/seller and they sorted it out quickly. Fast and very efficient customer service! I highly recommend the product.
Have had this for a while and its worked great but have recently mounted it above our bed and need to stand up on the bed and point the remote control infront of the box about 1inch away for it to work. Really annoying if im dozing off and want to switch it off. Have put new batteries in the remote incase that was the problem but its still the same

Bought this after seeing reviews and I have to say its so much better than I expected. I absolutely love it. I have it currently hanging upside down from the ceiling and the picture quality is absolutely sensational. Sound also really good. I cant reccomend this enough to anyone who wants a really good projector at the fraction of the price.
Extremely easy to set up.
We have our 4ft away from the wall.
No screen just using our white wall which gives a very clear picture.
Of course when main light is on it is harder to see the screen but that is normal for projectors.
So easy to control focus.
No problems so far and don’t expect any.

Very good projector. It’s easy to use. There is no obstacle to connecting my Switch and the computer. I can use the remote control while lying in bed. The resolution is clear enough. After all, it is only seventy pounds. The after-sales service is also very good.
I’m really pleased with this projector. I use it for a club night where I live and it provides a fantastic image for projecting onto the screen behind the DJs. It’s very portable and sturdy and has a range of inputs that make it easy to attach to my laptop. I very much recommend it if you’re looking for an affordable and easy to carry projector.
Got this as a gift over a year back and my younger brother uses it very often. He loves it but also, I’m probably more picky than him. While the brightness and clarity isn’t the best, it’s actually very good for the price I paid. And it’s worked longer than a year!
It’s compact and the sound output is absolutely loud enough, if a little tinny. Changing the focus to make the picture clear was also easy.
If you want a great value projector then this is a great buy.

This projector is remarkable value for money. It’s not comparable, in terms of performance, with much more expensive home cinema outfits – but it does function pretty adequately.
Bought as a gift for my daughter and she is really pleased with it. Works very well for viewing films ‘big scale’ on the wall. Picture quality very good, and easy to mount on tripod for stability.
For the price I am very surprised how good it is. Don’t get me wrong the fan isn’t’t exactly the quietest and there is no Bluetooth to connect to a wireless speaker BUT its great for playing video games and movie nights at home. Really amazing for the price that it is to be hones

If you have a provision to make your room completely dark, then you can go ahead with this projector which performs just amazing.
Color representations is great, motion is smooth and screen size is also amazing.

Very please with this little projector. The picture quality is outstanding. I have it connected to an Apple Tv and that is paired to a Bluetooth receiver for audio. The projector has a 3.5mm headphone socket for audio output but that’s just another cable to run. It would be nice if unit had its own Bluetooth for audio out. Also the fan noise is quite high and the lamp not as bright as you might want. But for the money, this is an absolute win!
I have tested this projector and seems to give a good quality picture. The sound quality is good although i prefer using an external speaker system. The remote works well. Very happy especially for the price. Ive used it for around 6 months mainly for gaming on the ps4 and pc. Highly recommended
As with all budget projectors needs to be in a darkened room. However good value for the money, has more features than projectors of the same price.

Now onto the product itself: the projector. It’s excellent, set it up in a secure spot and have a good distance and you’re set – like most projectors, however, I can’t stress enough about keeping it in a secure and steady position whilst viewing. The picture quality is great and the speakers are decent, although, I would recommend to get speakers to enhance your cinematic experience but it is possible without. The settings are somewhat easy to navigate and the remote makes the process easier.
To sum up, it’s a great projector for a great price and comes with great customer service!

so far no complaints working well , easy to set up , portable.picture is very clear also sound quality is very good. The menu is very easy to acccess and navigate. The unit is quite small in size that’s very compact I feel.It has Hdmi, usb, sd card ports which is very useful Its a great value for money for this price.
The key aspect of this product is its value. It provides a very watchable picture and quiet, sonically limited audio which is still audible over the fan sound. I find the fan sound fairly easy to ignore, but obviously this is subjective.
It isn’t crystal clear in definition, and the projector must be propped up if you can’t project perpendicular to the wall (I suspect most people can’t). But due to the portable nature of it, I simply tuck it back under the TV stand after use so it doesn’t look awkward. Also as with most projectors, the angle of projection can be tilted up or down to prevent skewing the picture. I find that my picture is still slightly skewed after moving the slider all the way, but it doesn’t seem to affect the quality too much.
For a viable and cheaper alternative to a TV, I recommend.
Bought this projector off a recommendation of an Instagram influencer (not an ad as far as I am aware) and so pleased I did! Is really good quality, easy to use and compatible with our speaker so we have set up like surround sound in the room.
I had an issue with the first machine sent months earlier but the sender sent out a brand new one literally the next day so I think they are incredible. We use with our chrome book which I had to buy an adapter for but was very cheap. Amazing projector we don’t even watch the tv anymore!!
My first projector made a terrible sound but the quality was beautiful I just didn’t get the full experience due to the overriding of this sound from the projector .. I spoke to someone and they sorted it out instantly and sent out a brand new projector free of charge , I’ve got this new projector and I feel like I was maybe sent a faulty one before as this one is a bigger picture and the quality is amazing for the price ! I’ve had expensive projectors before that are not even near this quality ! It’s amazing for the price and the sound is good to but I like mine really loud reason I use a jbl speaker , but the video I have uploaded is the sound from the projector.
The projector looks quite nice but was that. After being on for about 15 minutes the image start to glitch and got vertical lines all across. So I did return and didn’t bother to get a replacement as I’ve lost confidence for the long run.

Updated review; I have been contacted by the customer service, and they were great, I have a new product now and it is working as intend, the picture quality is okay even been a 800×480 native resolution. The projector is quite and have a good speaker too. I’m giving 5 stars for the customer service.
I bought this for my 17yr old daughter who had asked for a more expensive one for Christmas. I was a little worried about it as it was a cheaper version however it has been quite good. My daughter loves it and she uses it for a many things. She also uses it as a computer screen. She mostly connects it to her lap top and she says the sound is fine but sometimes connects to her speakers. It was pretty easy to set up. I would definitely recommend.
Just remember that you can not use Netflix from your phone as there is a lock on the app that stops you. I am wondering however if you can plug a fire stick straight in which I will try.
I purchased this projector to use for halloween projections and for occasional bigger movie projections. So far it has produced a much better picture than i had anticipated especially as i am projecting only onto a blank light blue wall. See attched photos for reference. The colour adjustment is good enough to allow to compensate the blue background and make the image very watchable. I am using it with a Bluetooth transmitter for sound as it does not have Bluetooth built in. This is working very well also and paired to a soundbar or Bluetooth speakers. The built in speakers are ok but lack any bass due to the small size.
I cannot review what the image would be like on a projector screen as i am yet to purchase one at the time of this review but given that it will produce a picture much larger than the image shown with minimal loss of quality i can only assume it will not disappoint.
Great little projector for the price. Decent quality picture/brightness. The only thing I found lacking was an ability to zoom the image in/out (bigger/smaller) The image size is dictated by the distance the projector is away from the screen/wall etc. I bought this quite last minute for use at a friend’s funeral to show photos/videos on a screen already at the venue. To fit the screen I had to position on a bar table and move closer/further from screen to fit it. Results were great, even in daylight. Some mobile phone video formats would not play (copied to USB stick and played using projector software), however this was minimal overall. Very pleased with purchase so far ; hopefully the longevity will be equally satisfactory….
Picked this up so that we can game while the TV is being used at the same time. Really happy with it! Small footprint, easy to set up and operate and adjust.
The only slight disappointment is that the HDMI and USB slots are so close together that if you’re using a fire stick you’ll either have to power it from the mains (meaning an additional cable) or use the fire stick HDMI extender thing to allow you to power it from the USB, but again it’s only a minor thing.
Overall, really impressed with this.
Pros: I’ll update this review if it gets resolved. The projector itself is fantastic, I bought a screen to use with it, but it’s just as good on a bare wall that is beige in colour so I’ve opted for that as it’s much larger than the bought screen. I’ve even started projecting over a white door too to enlarge it further. The door frame is a slight distraction but to have a picture that’s 4-5 meters wide, it’s worth it.
Con: No remote was provided in the box, I emailed the seller who said they are away on vacation so will send one as soon as possible… I will be returning the projector if this isn’t rectified because having to press the buttons on the projector means knocking the projector slightly out of its position every time so I have to straighten it up each time. Not ideal.
Initially I had this back in its box and returned within a few minutes, no idea if picture quality, remote or anything like that was good or bad, the focus wheel would not turn, it felt like cheap plastic, I couldn’t even focus to check it. Yes it was noisy and the slightest touch would have the fan hitting the interior casing.
I was later contacted by the supplier who were superb with their customer service, I have a new projector and this time I found no issues. Apparently the focus wheel is set so it doesn’t move and damage the lense in transit. I connected to my laptop no problem and played some online clips onto my wall. The picture quality is fine, if you have a tilted picture, some of the edges may be in soft focus. Yes the sound is a little tinny but it’s good enough for what I need. The fan does nake a kittke bit of noise, but it;s not noticable when in use properly I’m more than happy with it.
Ordered this projector after reading positive reviews. Was not disappointed. Used with amazon firestick after watching youtube to sort out the sound issues (just turn off the Dolby sound setting on the fire stick). Picture quality was very good, sound (ran through a surround sound hifi) was fantastic. The speakers built in will do the job indoors, but lack ooompf outside. A very happy purchaser.
This projector is by no means perfect, but for the price it is fantastic.
I don’t have a projector screen as yet, so I project it onto a blue/grey wall. It was a bit difficult to see a first but once you crank up the brightness it looks great.
I can only imagine it looking worlds better on a proper projector screen, but at least it’s good to know that’s not an absolute necessity.
Good assortment of outputs/inputs. I plug a google tv into it directly, and then output the audio to a sound bar. The audio from the built in speaker is decent considering, but can’t beat external speakers. Luckily connecting it up to one is an option.
Also has usb and micro sd slots which I haven’t used, but good to have.
All in all, for the 55 or so I paid on offer, it’s a great projector.
It works best in darker rooms or where there isn’t direct sunlight interrupting the projector, I have a skylight right above where I have my projector and the second picture shows that in direct light the picture does fade – but that is to be expected with any projector. The sound quality is pretty damn good as is the quality when you set up the focus correctly. I use it to watch Netflix, play on my ps4 and play dnd (hdmi to my laptop) – all of these work amazingly well and I’m astounded by the quality for how cheap this projector is! Definitely worth the price.
Really good projector and good sound too. Once it gets dark the picture is great we find that from about 9.30pm the light is just dark enough to get a good picture. The difference in my pictures is only 20min but you can really see how the picture changes. Didn’t bother with a fancy stand just put a shelf together out of old decking wood and it seems to give us the right height and distance for our screen. We have a Now tv stick and it plugs straight in and we can watch Prime Netflix and Sky straight from it.
This projector works very very well. As we have wardrobes Infront of our bed, a projector on the shelves above was a fantastic solution. Two issues;
1. The projector’s fan is very noisy
2. To overcome the noisy fan, I fitted some speakers (with amplifier). Only one side of the speakers worked even after testing the amplifier and buying a new RCA cable. This was quite disappointing.
To overcome the speaker issue, I will upgrade my Chromecast to the Chromecast with Google TV which will allow me to connect the Sonos
Bought this on offer. Amazing price! Brightness is good in a fairly dark room. No real hope in the daylight as dark areas all just black so can’t pick out detail. Picture size is great – my attached photo is 80 inches, not gone bigger yet. Picture is a bit juddery but I’m running the picture off a connected Chromecast so maybe that’s it. Audio is loud but less than average quality. External speakers a must. Fan is not that noisy. A great buy for occasional big screen movie nights but don’t expect wonders for the price.
Focus dial very stiff but worked ok. Nothing else possible to test.
I will come back to this review but, having bought an HDMI lead to a c cable to link with my ‘phone I find that I can’t use it without a wireless version. This should have been clear then I would have bought one with the projector.
Will order the dongle then might be able to improve this rating.
As promised, I have returned to complete this review. I am taking it in two parts, the product and customer service.
The projector does what it says that it does, in line with its price point. That is fair. As a result, I have been able to watch streamed programmes on my living room wall with clarity. I found the remote to be responsive and the sound range to be more than acceptable. In the end, the set up was easy though my own variable connections mean that direct linking of the mobile phone are more reliable than using the dongle.
Customer service was tremendous. The projector with a stiff focus was returned and a replacement offered without hassle with accompanying dongle. This made a huge difference to my experience with the product and has resulted in the projector remaining set up and ready to go.
Absolutely excellent quality for the money. I’m over the moon with it. I originally bought it to paint a mural in my sons bedroom. Had a bright spark moment when testing to see if it all worked, I made a homemade white screen from gazebo poles and a bed sheet and made a home cinema for me and my boys to watch a Christmas movie.
Comes with additional wires too. Just plug n play. Simple and easy to use switching from different source settings. Havent tested all the source settings yet. Just the hdmi for the movie. Shame it doesn’t have Bluetooth for a sound bar to be connected but it does have an in built speaker. Again I haven’t tried this.
But I am happy with the outcome of its use so far. Glad I made the purchase.
Decided to buy this projector having looked through the reviews on here and I am glad I did. Super little projector and at such a cheap price. I have been able to connect all sorts to it including a firestick, xbox 360, gamecube, xbox one and an android box. All worked no problem.
The image projected is super and the sound very good as well. Fantastic for family cinema nights. You can see the image and video I have attached. This was projected on to a light coloured wall. The lines you see are on the wall. I guess with a projector screen it would look even better!

It’s a great projector, if you have gadgets that work with it! Sadly, my laptop doesn’t have a HDMI port, so that’s not an option for me, nor do I (yet) have a wireless HDMI dongle that I can use for my phone, but it’s a fun way to lay in bed and look through photographs and memories or play music through a USB. The picture quality is great, the sound quality is great and I love that It came with an easy-to-use remote! just make sure you have the right add ons and tools to be able to use this before buying it, unlike I did!
So i got this purely to project images for Halloween. I Have a good quality projector but didn’t want to disrupt setup so i purchased this one to use.Small ,simple to use and so far very pleased. Certainly surpassed expectations but only in very dark room.Thats totally acceptable as that is the case in virtually all projectors.A great price for this and if you want a very basic machine then go for it.
Great connection ports too.Remote..hmm .found it very flimsy and two of the buttons the rubber had popped out before even used it which had to be popped back in.Mainly i use the buttons on top of machine instead as very solid and usable.
So for 50 quid im a happy customer. Hopefully will last a while and even if i get a few years out of it i would still be happy.I would say this is worth a bit more.Sound is better than expected but if you want a better experience i would recommend a blue tooth transmitter for it and connect it to a portable speaker.
The seller offered to improve the after sale support and offered a replacement but because of Brexit and the address being in EU was offered a refund.

My plan was to be able to take the projector on holiday so that if we didn’t feel comfortable staying out too late in the evenings we can return to our accommodation and watch films outdoors (we are just unlocking from covid, and do not want to stay long after perhaps eating out) (weather permitting).

Bought this for a tech enthusiast who could never pull the trigger on picking a projector he felt would be diverse enough in its capabilities whilst still being affordable. We decided to buy him a mini projector, as we’ve been told they usually provide the more affordable all-rounders.
We opted for this projector as it seemed to be the best. Since giving it to him, he’s tested with movies and his games console.
With the games console, the game’s details don’t feel sharp enough. Numbers and smaller characters are difficult to make out, with the pixels being larger, there is less definition. However, for movies and tv its great fun and easy to setup. Games are playable, but not as sharp as the TV or Monitor. Fast paced action holds up well enough, but the brightness isn’t stunning, best viewed in dark environments, perhaps even with a projector screen.
The fact that you have a portable large screen is what makes it a great product, when lots of friends are round or when a large screen is required for a party, this is what it is great for, which this product, does well at. Its great fun, easily setup and easier to transport.
We recommend this product for anyone who fancies a projector that is an all rounder, and is not picky about the high quality sharpness in all viewing. It is sharp in certain instances, and some not so much. For the price it is perfectly capable and more importantly provides more fun and opportunities then any screen could do (e.g. project movies onto the side of the house).
These type of projectors are not meant for your first choice of daily viewing, they are meant for the odd fun and opportunities only a projector can bring. There are many more expensive, larger and more capable projectors that can suit someone who wants to get into projectors, but for most people, this would suit majority of your needs.
This projector arrived as stated, easy to set up, and it’s worked perfectly over the 2 weeks it has been here, I mistakenly thought I could use Netflix and sky mobile via my I phone, but apparently that’s not allowed due to copy right, we have it linked to a sky box and that works perfectly for the Tv and Apps, photos home videos etc work fine from the phone, the sound is ok but we have an external speaker, the room does need to be dark but the attached photo was a bright day and curtains half closed, the size of the picture is only altered by moving the project closer/further from the wall, we don’t have a screen and it works perfectly on an pale painted wall, for the price it’s perfect for watching movies, football etc
This is a fabulous product at the price – actually I would be impressed if I had paid five times the price. The projector comes with an HDMI and an AV lead. All you need to connect to either a laptop or a DVD. I actually connected the projector to a DVD player via the video output and used a separate lead to connect to the aux input of a speaker unit. The sound output from the unit itself, however, isn’t bad at all. The photo is of a “Sunset Cinema” presentation in our back garden! “Thelma and Louise” was superb projected against the wall. Arguably the best 70 I’ve ever spent!
I have been wanting to buy a projector so that I could have a “movie room”. I finally and quite easily persuaded the other half to let me look into buying one with the Lock down and all and as a treat for the kids. I found this little gem on Amazon and thought for 72 you can’t go wrong especially as I didn’t want to spend hundreds only to find out it wouldn’t work. In short this is a bargain for anyone who wants to test the waters with projectors. I’ve done a couple of trial runs, it’s easy to set up, easy to move around, sound is good, picture is also good. It’s fan is a little loud but not so much that it ruins the “Cinema feeling”. Also don’t panic about buying a screen a light coloured wall is all you need. I was going to use my white wall but tried the yellow wall and didn’t have a problem. Would I recommend? Hell yes! If you have never had a projector and want to see what it’s like this is the one for you. Am I going to tell all my family and friends about it, definitely! Looking forward to many a cinema night.
I could not find out anywhere what size the image would be as i have only one place this projector could go in my bedroom. It is 4m from a grey wall and my bed is between it and the wall. I put my resolution down as instructed ( to 1024768) and i now have a decent image about8ft wide and 5ft tall. Fits wall perfectly. Im very pleased. Also i searched high and low for a projector that would turn off if i fell asleep. Indeed thatvwas more important to me than picture quality! In the end i decided i would have to plug in a timer to the unit at the wall so it always turned off at about 1am which is when i usually fall asleep . Ihave no clue why this is not advertised but there IS A SLEEPTIMER on the projectors menu. Paid only 42 and amazon delivered 14 hours later!
Yes the image quality could be better but it is more than adequate and better than expected. Photo does not do image justice. Bad points. 1) the remote needs to be pointed at the back if the projector. 2) if you switch it off you also have to restart laptop for hdmi cable to be recognised which is a bit of a pain but not a deal breaker. Overall I am very very pleased. Here’s hoping it outlives its warranty

You have to remember what you’re paying for this. Is it one of the numerous cheap Chinese made projectors so you can’t expect super brightness/resolution/etc. However, you’re paying 50!!! Once you darken a room, find that wall and play your movie, it is worth every penny and even if it’s not super sharp, it doesn’t matter because you’re watching it on a screen the size of your wall!!
All in all, just buy it and be happy. If you really want that higher quality, then expect to pay 4 times as much, if you just want to use it as an upgrade for movie night, get it now.
Thought i would dip my toe into the world of projectors and after reading many reviews decided on this model. I can say that i am extremely happy with my purchase. It arrived two days early. The instruction manual is easy to understand. It came with all the required leads and i simply plugged it in, connected the sky box via the supplied HDMI lead and switched on using the remote. Simply adjusted the focus using the remote and all was good. The picture is sharp and the colour rendition is great. I connected my amp again using the supplied leads and sat back and enjoyed. I projected onto a long, white emulsioned wall, and now have a huge picture. Very impressed. Can’t fault it. Worth every penny.
I purchase this along with a 120 inch projector screen which I hang from the ceiling in the living. With the projector about 3 metres back I get around a 100inch picture.
Quality, yeah it’s not HD or 4k. But more like your old CRT tvs, sat 3m back it does look great for the price.
Sound from this is ok. What I purchased was a bluetooth transmitter from eBay which I send to my bluetooth soundbar for better audio. I wouldn’t use the inbuilt speakers as they’re aren’t loud enough to give a decent sound over the fan inside the projector. This is pretty loud during quiet scenes in movies but nothing to put you off.
Small text on the screen would be unreadable but bigger text would be fine.
I have a long HDMI lead connected to my virgin TiVo box and also for the nintendo switch. (Mario kart split screen is brilliant)
I plug it in via HDMI to the laptop to play dvds and films. With the bluetooth transmitter plugged into the usb and aux of the machine which sends it to my soundbar. (I have to use a usb extension lead for this as the bulkiness of the transmitter wouldn’t sit side by side in the unit with the hdmi)
In daylight this thing is pretty useless especially for bright scenes. So don’t expect to be using it if you can block all light sources.
Overall if you want to get into the projector world then get this, you won’t regret it. If you want full HD or 4k picture then move on and spend at least 10 x this. Its a great entry level projector that wouldn’t go a miss in a bedroom or living room, but it won’t be a dedicated cinema room projector.
The connectivity is also very good, I have used my fire stick on it and also a now TV stick both of which work really well, the only thing you need to do on the fire stick is go into settings and disable Dolby sound and it will then work fine on the projector. Otherwise I have used a USB memory stick (128gb) and even a 1 TB portable hard drive which also works very well.
All in all this projector provides all I had hoped for and is more than adequate for average home use.
Only a short test as this is a gift. The projector comes thoughtfully packaged with RGB and HDMI cables and a remote (no batteries) the device is easy to set up and can run a video within a minute or so from a laptop by plugging in the projectors power cable, using the HDMI cable and selecting the HDMI source from the projector. Close images of the TV series The Prisoner (Original) and Battlestar Galactica (Reboot) seem very good but I had no facility to check larger screen sizes. Sound from the projector was loud and was better than I expected but if you have external speakers you would be better off using these. For the price I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the kit.
For under 50 it is really good ,the family love it we have used it for the kids Xbox gaming , run now tv and Netflix through it from Xbox’s,Ps4 and ipads …via the multiple connections available ..tried a ish stick with a mp4 video picture was great but no sound (Think that’s more to do with the actual mp4 codec format ).
Sound through the unit itself is ok but we have a sound bar so run it through that for a more cinema experience.
Picture is good and size wise it’s about 100″-120″ size with the projector at about 2mtrs away.
My only gripe is no optical output and the position of the remote sensor (It’s at the front so you have to aim remote at front of projector whilst looking behind you to see what’s selected etc .
Cant wait for summer so we can have outdoor cinema on a hanging bedsheets on washing line outside.

– Does not memorise the last used input method (so you have to tell it you are using HDMI each and every time you switch it on
– Mine came with a broken remote control and you can’t fix it other than returning the unit… but hey, it was cheap to start with.
I tested it for the Halloween videos from a USB memory stick and the quality was so good we decided to try watching a film on the bedroom wall. Guess how we watch films now?!
It’s not cinema quality, and you’ll definitely need external speakers. But from someone who works with dual 4K monitors the quality is adequate.
Sky go streaming from my PS3 to the projector took one minute to get running. Picture quality very good for the price. Best in a dark room which my man pad is, so no issues for me. Looking forward to the weekend footy games!
Comes with HDMI, VGA cables but surprisingly no remote control batteries.
No brainer if you want a cheap and cheerful projector.

1: Brilliant for movies, own videos – see pictures for great size projection onto my white living room wall
2: Had a few issues with some movies – This does not like 6 channel audio,DTS (Re-encode or play through laptop)
3: Other reviews stated speaker/s were rubbish, I don’t agree they are more than adequate and on certain videos I had to turn the audio down to 20%.
4: Brightness is great and perfect at 60% in a dark room.
The bad, this is explained in the product description but it is really bad, the resolution of 800×480 is really really bad for anything you need to read. I attached my phone through a hdmi hub (Mate 10 Pro) so had a desktop experience through the projector but trying to read anything to start an application was hit and miss, could not make out what each application was and had to go by the icon in the end. If you want this for any type of reading you will need a better resolution.
If its just for movies as I bought it for its a great buy, just make sure your either playing off laptop to it if your audio format is a good one (6 channel ACE/DTS).
Have had to return mine due to an issue, it keep turning off the video mid-way through, checked media it was coming from was not faulty and tried several USB sticks and it kept doing it. A real shame as my son loved watching his films on the massive wall screen.
May buy another one of these or may investigate a better native resolution version for the better text quality.
For the price I paid (50 sale) its great for a simple cinema experience.
So far, I’m pretty impressed, considering the price. It is easy to set up for HDMI or AV. I’m using it on a tripod . It is relatively portable – about the size of a very thick novel.
As remarked by others, the native sound is not very good and you must remember to turn Dolby off on the source system (e.g. Apple TV) else you won’t hear anything. But using the 3.5mm adapter it gives great sound when connected to an old speaker system.
It is only for use in darkened rooms, but great for a kid’s room or extra TV room. It works fine for HD TV, games, Youtube and works with Alexa Fire Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Now TV stick etc. and feels more like a cinema experience than watching normal TV if you have it setup to cast a large image.
Note, it is not suitable for text and I’ve not been able to get the whole screen in focus at the same time. It’s fine for movies and games unless you have to read from the screen.
I bought something twice the size and five times the price two years ago and this is actually just as good, in fact the expensive one is a lot noisier.
The image is clear, has a 1080p output, and a sharp inage.
I use this for movies too, and netflix. This is the best thing it plays: movies. They are all smooth and the image doesn’t lag or break between frames like some projectors do. I’m very happy with this purchase because at this price it’s quite dificult to find a decent projector.
I recommend this for anyone who doesn’t want to spend much on a projector.
Be warned tho, it has it’s sacrifices. One being snall text isn’t readable, and the other is that the sound isn’t the best. It sounds muffled. But for me it doesn’t matter since I use external speakers and also play things that don’t require small text or so.
