    This system does what it’s supposed to and we’re very happy with how easy it was to install, how clear the video is on all cameras, the recording option for motion, all of it works well. I wanted a system to be able to play back certain areas and get clear facial recognition from video and captures- this works great!

    Nothing fancy or special needed. Everything came together with long enough wires to connect in a very large area. The camera angles are even adjustable after installation from two areas. Very happy with this system and it works immediately.

It alerts us and I absolutely never open my door anymore without first checking the camera! The resolution is clear and the reason I am updating this review is to add tech support . I had to reach out because I couldn’t figure out how to get my 4 cameras back up and stationary and NO QUESTIONS ASKED NOR SAID.. oh this is out of warranty ..THEY WALKED ME THROUGH A FEW EMAILS AND EVEN GOT BACK TO ME..COME ON ; under $200 with tech a year later!?     Arrived next day, in plain box, easy to plug in, not so easy very poorly produced manual, very bad print quality could hardly see icons, also not enough info on how to do things, took me a couple of hours to work out how to hook up pc to dvr(adding a device), Could do with a Linux version so you can use a cheap raspberry pi as a monitor. Picture is good, but beware of cobwebs, they set off motion detection. Otherwise good enough for the job.

    Received my order the very next day,
    Very easy to set up and get started,.

    Followed the manual to access the DVR with negative results,
    Reached out to customer support and they responded immediately,
    Once I provide the necessary information as to model numbers and such they responded in less than 24 hours with multiple solutions which allowed me to access the DVR for it’s full potential.
    Have 4 cameras up and can add4 more with this DVR.

    Would highly recommend this company, they know what they’re doing.

    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersCamaras work fine. My issue was the mobile app. Playback was a headache and mostly useless. Must have reliable remote access or what’s the point. Upgrade the app and this is a keeper. But unfortunately I had to return it.

    Will change everything to a solid 5 as soon as I have time to reach out to tech support for some help with prior purchase, nothing I believe is there fault and haven’t been able to reach out to there support team! Simple fix I hope but I’m sure my first HDR stopped working and just keeps rebooting every 2 minutes!

    Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought this product about seven months ago but didn’t install it right away. Once I opened it up I noticed that the power connector on one of the cameras had been crushed before it was shipped. This was a bit annoying, especially since I already had everything wired and ready to go, but what can you do. I emailed the company and they were nice as could be and sent me a replacement immediately.
    Everything worked great for about four months until I noticed one of the cameras didn’t seem to be working at night and was fairly dark during the day. If it was overcast it would go dark as well. I contacted Zosi once more and this time they had me remove the camera and they sent me a shipping label to send it to them. It took about two weeks but they sent me a replacement, at no cost to me. Their customer support is very good. Thanks Aimee.

    I bought this system after we had our mailbox and other various items get stolen out of our yard. Putting up the cameras and getting the wires tucked out the way was easy enough, setting up the DVR was a lot less painless than what other users have reported. I plugged everything in and off it went, my only complaint is that since I only have 4 cameras, I would like the display to remain on the first 4 cameras, but I can’t find a setting to prevent it from pulling up all 8 channels. Otherwise it seems like a decent system for as cheap as it is and the night vision isn’t that bad either. It illuminates the yard well enough. Oh, and getting the app set up on our phones was a little tricky, it keeps telling us the system is offline when I know it isn’t but after a few minutes it’s up and running again in the app. Would greatly recommend this system to anyone

    he Good: Very easy to set up cameras and cables, with very clear daytime footage. the Average: The motion-detection is a little slow, but probably because I’ve mounted my cameras INSIDE my building windows… But I’d say the motion-detection is still pretty good overall. Also, the screen interface is a bit clunky, when trying to set the unit up, play footage, etc. It’s adequate once you are familiar with it. the Unknown: My experience with the night vision has not been good, because I had to mount my cameras
    INSIDE my windows, which caused camera light reflection on the glass, and that’s all the cameras pick up – glare on the glass…. So I suggest mounting cameras outdoors, for sure, if you need night vision. Overall: I think this system was worth the money, considering I caught my year-long culprit within a couple days

    These were easy to set up and get a picture except for one thing. The screws that they send are worthless. Plan on buying some #6 by 1′ screws and throw the ones sent with the camera away. Once we had cameras mounted and were getting a good picture on our monitor, the next problem was trying to get to the main menu. We were locked out of the UID and password, probably because we don’t have internet and were trying to get the ZOSI smart app to work on an Android phone. We had to get ahold of customer service by email and the next day were able to get past the password block. Cameras have good picture whether daytime or night. Since they don’t send you a user manual we are still working on getting the notifications and such figured out. If we had internet this would probably have been more smooth.

    I had a swan system before and this zosi system beats it in every way .
    And if you need to get in touch with them the customer service people are so helpful and polite.

    My DVR on a old Swann system was acting up after 10 years and I hooked up the Dvr to my old cameras and instant video feed .I will be connecting the new cameras but I do like the dvr and its ease of use. Go through setup and download the app and scan QR code and you are streaming to your device .I look forward to the installation of the new cameras and I will try to update then.
    For the price you can not beat the clarity and the ability to review recorded footage from dvr are through the app
    I paid almost 5 times this 10 years ago and I had no off site ability to view those cameras.

    I purchased the 8 channel system that included 4 wired cameras in May 2020. I later purchased 4 additional cameras. I thought it was kind of difficult to get the DVR set up and running. Once I got it set up I had it set to send snapshot notifications via email. I had the sensitivity for each camera set at 8. This worked well until April 2021. Then the connection to the email was intermittent. I contacted support and Coco had me set the motion sensitivity of the cameras to 1, which Coco told me is the most sensitive. I don’t recall in the set up procedure of it stating which setting was the most sensitive — 1 or 8. Anyway, after making this change the email has continued working properly. I don’t understand how camera sensitivity for motion has anything to do with the email connecting. When I had the issue when the email stopped sending email notifications, I went into the DVR settings and tested the email connection. Most of the time I would get a notification that it could not connect with the email, even though I had made no changes to the email settings that had been working since I had gotten it set up the prior year. Maybe it was an issue with my internet service. The only other issue I have is when I view the video on my home computer using the AVSS app or when using the ZosiSmart app on my iPhone or iPad, the video will be fine and then the screen goes gray except where there is movement – see photo for example of what happens. Otherwise the video is good via the apps. If I view the video on the actual DVR, the video is fine. Again, maybe my internet upload connection is too low, but I have not received any information as to what is the minimum requirement for upload for using the AVSS and ZosiSmart apps.     Night Vision
    See’s quite well at night, Especially if two cameras have arcs that meet as they have an additive increase to each-others LED projection.

    Motion Detection –
    Even on a low sensitivity setting The motion detection picks up tree shadows and leaves blowing in the wind and creates an event, so its not good for event detection if you live in a wooded area. I’d suggest trying to get one of the Thermal cameras instead for outdoor ‘presence’ detection.
    The one camera I have inside in my basement access works the best and only detects actual human presence.

    User Interface.
    I can’t for the life of me figure out how to set an email for the system to send the alerts to.
    There are multiple settings in the system that say “email alert” but there is no place to actually type in an email in the system.
    The ‘Schedule Recording’ interface doesn’t allow for selecting or deselecting a large block of time quickly. You have to click each hour manually, so it takes a while.

    Honestly, it’s a great system for the price.

    I bought this for an affordable home security camera. I bought the hard wired version to ensure security. The kit came with AC and AV cables for all 4 cameras. The video quality is good and set up was pretty easy it came with everything except wire mounts for the walls (or monitor of course) it did ship with the completed unit, cables, and even a mouse. It works with both VGA and HDMI for monitors. I can’t relay the on line performance as I’m using it stand alone (which it does well). All in all a very good value for the price. If you’re using this for a small house I might recommend some cable extensions and wall mount brackets but you can definitely wire a whole house for well under $200

    I was looking for a cctv system and when my neighhour bought one I was really impressed with the quality for the price so I got the same system.

    Very easy to install, the hardest part was climbing through the loft to run the cables to the dvr.

    Set up was simple and the phone app makes reviewing the cameras really easy.

    Picture quality is good and night vision is excellent.

    ZOSI customer service centre is brilliant and Cathy was so helpful when one of the cameras stopped working in the dark.

    I would definitely recommend this for someone who is looking for a good quality, cost effective system with great customer service (ZOSI).

Love the way you set the motion grid and sensitivity on each camera. They are very sensitive and can be set to alert you phone or email. I used a vonets wifi bridge to place the dvr were I did not have access to plug into wifi. I recomend that too. Update September 2021, I was having trouble viewing from my phone. Tech support Slina was awesome and very helpful getting it back online. If anyone has this problem, go to menu/advanced /reset. Still love the system!!

    This system is very easy to install. There is ample length of cable to cover a large house. Our house stretches 60 meters from front to back. The cameras are robust and the picture is very clear and in colour. The night vision is very clear too. It was easy to download the app on to your phone and it works with the system.
