This was used to illuminate the front door and approach and it sure does. This is good. 5mtres of wire from charger really helpful, hasallowed me to install for max light input
Could be used in many places. Good value

Easy to install, although long, the cable was just too short for my application, which was under a car port. However, the solar panel now is under the car port, and still charges the batteries. The light is very bright, and the motion detection is good.
Might buy a few more for around the garden.

A bright light down the bottom of the garden that can shine through the foliage onto steps.
The remote solar panel is brilliant, enabling the flood light to be placed exactly where it’s most needed and still catch the sun.
Local cats and wildlife are no longer bothered when they’re caught in the beam and carry on with their nightly foraging.
I keep it on a dim setting which brightens when the sensor is triggered, and it hasn’t, as yet, run out of power overnight.

As described, easy to install and it is very bright. The motion detection is not super responsive.

Much better than I expected. Really pleased with the product. Very bright at night and very responsive too when it detects motion around the front door. It’s solar powered and that’s a big bonus. Having a well lit entrance at no extra cost.

Highly recommend this solar light, i got it to put inside my summer house at the bottom of the garden. Very easily placed the solar panel on the roof and the wire ran easily inside, motion sensor triggers a very bright light. 5 stars

These are very bright lights, I have been very disappointed in the past with solar lights but these are awesome give off a blue light but brightness will not be a problem for sure.

Nothing to dislike. Purely amazing product for a really great price you get 318 lumens shining in all directions.

Motion sensor is on point, cable 5m, came already partially charged ,which was a pleasant surprise.

The best o the market for quality and price!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI light arrives fully discharged and needs 8 hours of bright sunshine to charge it. This makes it difficult to check that it works. It was still dead for me after charging for 3 days in daylight. That might explain the returns. You press a button to set the mode but there is nothing to tell you what mode you set. Luckily I had a sunny day and managed to get it into the correct mode. Once set up it works fine. It detects anyone coming near it and has a bright light. The AAA efficiency rating should mean the charge will last long time. I have yet to test it during darker winter months.

I have installed this in the cratch area of my narrowboat. It is perfect for dark evenings when trying to get aboard. The whole cratch area is super lit up and makes the area very safe for getting on board. Love it!

Being able to separate the pv panel from the light is very useful for me in certain places. What I’d really like now is one where the PIR is also separate from both the lamp and the panel.

Great lights easy to install and give a better light than I expected for the price. These lights are compact enough to fit on a 4″ wooden post, the sensors are very good picking up movement from a reasonable distance. Would recommend this product as was far better than I thought they would be.

Works well as designed, but just be aware, this is not suitable for lighting a permanently dark area as the light sensor is on the solar unit, not the lamp unit. I purchased this to light a windowless shed, and although the interior of the shed is always dark, if the solar panel sees daylight the lamp will not come on. Unfortunately I believe this is common to most makes and designs.

I got this to go over the garage door. The guttering gets in the way of a lot of solar lights so this was a good solution. It is easy to fit and it is working well.

Many solar lights have the panel at the top, making them unsuitable for a porch or front door install. This has the solar panel separate so you can place it elsewhere and place the light where you want.

The box comes with screws and 3m double sided tape to choose how to install. The tape will work on a flat surface but not brick wall. I did try but it fell off after a day.

The light is very bright on maximum, you have 3 options; light on all the time at night and brighter when motion is sensed, a dimmer always on light with motion sensing brighter light or no light unless motion is detected. I chose the latter and it lasts all night.

This is a great light, quite bright and with a sensitive motion sensor. I would have liked to be able to turn the sensitivity down but that’s not an option here.

    A great solar ligh

This really has a great benefit, the light can be used indoors whilst the solar panel can be placed outside at the most convenient location. I’ve fitted it into my bike shed and fixed the solar panel outside on the apex of the shed. It’s finally solved my shed lighting issues. Quality of the light and solar panel seem as good if not better than others I have. Time will tell but for now, I open my shed in the evening and it’s instantly illuminated.

I do like good solar lights.I have lights all round my garden..
This particular solar light is different from the rest as you can literally place this light anywhere as there is a long cable for the solar panel.
Other lights have the solar panel on top of the light but this is separate .
The cable is quite long.so if you have a dark place you can place light there and place solar panel where it catches the sun.
    3 settings on this light.
Charges up during daysensor control.so will light up when movement.
    Would recommend.

Unfortunately my garage doesn’t have any power in it, which makes going into it in the dark a bit of an adventure, especially if I have just put the car in and want to go out the pedestrian door at the back, I have lost count of the number of times I have bruised my leg by walking into something, usually a plant pot that I have put in there to protect less than hardy plants over the winter.

This light is really useful because the solar panel is separate from the light itself, so I am able to mount the panel on a nearby fence post and run the cable into the garage where I have mounted the light on a roof support. Now when I go into the garage the sensor detects me and puts the light on which is fantastic.

There are different light modes available, but I just leave it so that it comes on when I enter the garage.

Installation is easy. the light is plenty bright enough to light even my quite big garage and the flexibility is great, so in my view the current price of 15.99 is a bit of a bargain.

The beauty of this one is that the Solar Panel is not fixed / moulded into the top of the light – it is separate and on the end of a 5m cable which has a weather proof joint to connect it to the light unit itself.

Excellent as you can position the panel well away from the light and angled to capture the most sun / daylight whilst also being able to place the light unit in the optimum position to activate due to motion – in my experience those 2 requirements don’t come in the exact same spot

Brilliant light unit – highly recomended

Useful LED light with a separate solar panel connected by a lengthy (5m cord). Arrives in a very compact box 16cm * 10* 10 which indicates the small size of both the solar panel and light unit.

Its quite an obvious but clever idea, you can put the light where you need it, whilst the solar panel can be positioned somewhere where the sun does shine. This removes one of the main limitations of the single unit lights with integrated solar panel. The two weatherproof parts are connected with a split cable with a weatherproof connector.

In my case I connected the solar panel to the south facing external wall of my detached garage whilst the light was situated inside the garage above the door from the garden. This would be very useful as the only light switch in the garage is across the garage by the up and over doors. The kit comes with screws and a sticky pad but as both parts weigh hardly anything I attached it quickly with some U shaped pins into the mortar between the bricks and used the same U shaped pins to support the cable.

The light unit comes with a weatherproof button that cycles through the operating modes – 1 which provides middle brightness at night (off during day), 2 dim light and full brightness when motion detected and 3 full brightness when motion detected (which is recommended mode)

For my use case mode I wanted mode 3. Generally the unit seems to be working, but the reason why I’ve only given 4 stars, is that its hard to tell what mode has been selected and I have the suspicion that when the battery is dead it defaults back to off. I’ve tried changing the mode a few times during the day and the unit doesn’t seem to respond. Though this could because its February and the light levels are low.

Once the unit is working ok and well charged, the sensor does seem to work well and provides a good bright light.

I’ve not seen one like this before where the solar panel is actually separate from the light via a cable – but it actually makes a lot of sense – so that you can put the panel up where the sun is at its strongest during the day and then put the light down where it is needed the most at night. It has three lighting modes – which can save you power (i.e. so that the light will shine for much longer) and so I am putting it on the medium power and having it on motion sensor. This is working well for us and has been coming on exactly when we need t to – and has plenty of power even in these wintry days.

318 LED Solar Security Lights Outdoor, Solar Flood Motion Sensor Lights with 3 Lighting Modes

This solar light is just perfect for the shed due to the fact that the solar panel is completely separate at the end of a 5 metre cable, this light comes on as soon as I walk in the shed and stays on for 20 seconds before switching off unless I’m still in there moving around of course. At 15.99 I think this offers really good value for money, it’s well made and works as advertised, very happy to recommend.

So out the box you get the following:

1 x Solar panel with 5m cable attached
    1 x Light unit
1 x Set of screws and wall plugs
1 x Double sided sticky fixer pad
    1 x Instruction leaflet

This light can be positioned anywhere really and not just for sheds, the fact that the solar panel is separate means that it can be positioned to ensure it gets the most sun, other solar motion sensing lights have their solar panel attached so you don’t always get the most of the daytime sun on the solar panel, you won’t have that issue with this light.

The both units look very well made and seem to be sealed adequately to protect the internal components from the weather, an IP (Ingress Protection) rating is given as IP65 and I would tend to agree.

The built in rechargeable battery is of a 1200mAh capacity, enough to power the 318 LED’s and will give good performance based on the mode setting selected. There’s 3 lighting modes available, this is selected via the button on the front of the light, the first mode allows the light to come on at dusk on a medium light, the passive sensor won’t activate the full light, so you’ll get about 6-10 hours use during the Summer. The 2nd mode will activate a dimmer light at dusk and when the sensor is triggered, the LED’s come on at full brightness. The 3rd mode is pure motion sensor only and the light will come on at full brightness when movement is detected, switching off after about 20 seconds, this is still only activated at dusk. For the shed I’ve selected mode 3 and the light will come on in the daytime because the shed is rather dark inside.

Overall, a good quality light which has many uses, works very well and is reasonably priced.

    Very happy to recommend.

    Definitely one for the shed.

The one problem with solar powered lights is that you can only really use them where the sun can get to the solar panel which generally is on top of the light, with this the panel is separate and connected to the lamp via a long power cord, this means you can place the light in areas that don’t get any sun as long as you can fit the panel where there is sun, for me the light is going down the bottom of my garden by the shed where I can not use solar lights because of the trees, but with this I can place the light on the shed and the solar panel in a place that gets the sun.
There are three modes to choose, for me I am just having it come on full power when I get close enough to set it off and off when it detects no movement, my other versions which look similar to this but without the separate panel have been working well for quite a few months so I am confident this will be no different.
