This 3D mouse works very well. It is easy to get the hang of. To set the buttons ie. sketchup open the application and have the 3D commex. App pinned to your start bar so you can open it after sketchup opens. The mouse app should say trimble sketchup. Choose the option to map the key and its good.
You might have to update the driver. If its not working, turn off the mouse and reopen the desired drafting application and then turn the mouse back on. Also ensure it paired.

sehr feinfhlig. Mit eigentlich allen namhaften Zeichenprogrammen kompatibel und sollte bei keinem Konstrukteur fehlen. Aber auch fr jeden privaten Zeichner ist es sehr zu empfehlen. Ich habe auch die 3D Connection Enterprise.
Das kleine Teil ist halt echt schwer, falls man es oft mitnehmen muss.

Kostet, aber nützlich
So ein kleines Ding kostet schon ein wenig Geld, wenn man allerdings oft CAD zeichnet, kann es einem den Alltag erleichtern. Mit Maus und Tastatur ist man aber auch nicht viel schlechter dran. Fr Hobby CADler wrde ich die Maus nicht unbedingt empfehlen.

Da ich vor allem unterwegs CAD Software verwende ist es die Funk variante geworden und ist seither immer mit dabei. Bisher gab es nichts was nicht bung und andere Einstellungen behoben htte, nur wenn man zu weit weg geht lsst sie schnell nach und hat Aussetzer. Da htte ich mehr Reichweite erwartet, fr den normalen Alltag in der Nhe vom Laptop, ist das jedoch kein Thema

I use hypermill for programming parts to machine and noticed very early the battle between regular mouse and orienting parts/faces quickly and efficiently. Unboxing the space mouse the build quality surpassed expectation instantly, this thing is built like a tank and will sit in the exact spot you place it on your desk. Setup wasn’t initially clear that you had to head over to 3Dconnexion to install their software but video’s tutorials exist. After that it worked first time in hypermill and i look forward to the time savings. Would certainly consider the wireless pro version in the future.
L’ oggetto fatto in materiali veramente di alta qualit, sta appoggiato al tavolo, ha un bel peso e pure bello (finiture satinate in alu).
L’ uso molto intuitovo e io l’ho padroneggiato dopo 5 minuti nemmeno.
La grande utilit che finalmente ruoti e sposti la vista in modo talmente preciso che come sfida sono entrato DENTRO un foro di una vite. Sfido chiunque di farlo con shift, click destro e quant altro.
Lo consiglio ? Si, ma per utenti che fanno progetti con un minimo di dettagli. Per creare estrusioni e basta veramente sprecato.
Il mio verdetto: i soldi li vale, la qualit superiore, la facilit d’ uso tale da non aver bisogno di “imparare” (anzi, nel software c’e pure un mini tutorial interattivo).

I don’t write many reviews for some reason but just felt I had to give some feedback for this SpaceMouse!
I’m a bit of a gadget nerd and really do appreciate well designed/built tech. Well, this little thing certainly ticks that box. It just looks right, and works right. I love an excuse to fire up the 3D design app (Fusion 360 in my case) and use this. When I first got it it felt weird, wrong and it took a little while to get the hang of it. A couple of days of trying it, fiddling with settings in the simple app (reversing directions, etc) and I was away. It allows settings to be set for each app, which it selects automatically.
It’s really quite heavy and solidly built, you really have to pull it around to make it shift out of position.
Not a cheap bit of gadgetry, and yes I could get by without it, but it’s a very welcome addition to my set up.

Ricevuto oggi e subito testato. Scaricato I drivers dal sito del produttore, registrato il prodotto e subito testato. Balza all’occhio la maneggevolezza subito acquisita (modello in 3d da oltre 13 anni) ma la comodit indiscussa. Ottima la stabilit pur non avendo posto sotto alcun tappetino.
Molti men personalizzabili (al momento usato il default).

Leider funktioniert die Maus nicht bei den neuen Apple Computer Studio M1 Chip. Nicht brauchbar. Auch keine Rckmeldung wann das Riesenproblem gelst werden soll. Echt bse.
Fr ltere Mac und Windows Computer gilt aber: Fr alle die 3D Modelle erstellen und/oder sich in 3D Rumen bewegen ein ideales Arbeitsmittel/Gert.

Die wireless Spacemouse lsst sich wunderbar berall am Arbeitsplatz plazieren und/oder versetzen. Sie ist sehr gut gewichtet und verrutscht nicht.
Ich bin sehr zufrieden weil man mit dieser Mouse sehr gut professionell arbeiten kann.

Ideal tool for 3D modelling
I have the predecessor, the wired Space Navigator. Despite it being obsolete for a couple of years, it only just went out of driver support in Sept22, and I would have carried on with it, had it not developed a fault where zooming forces the model to fly off uncontrollably.
It’s so fundamental to the way I work now, that it’s annoying and slow-going without it. I decided on the wireless Space Mouse Compact purely for the fact it came with a case and that it could still be used in wired mode if the battery failed. In reality it’s not that much different from the old Navigator, just more refined. The best part is after its first charge I’ve used it for several hours and the battery is still almost full. I use it while still in the case and being wireless I can place it anywhere I like without worrying about routing the cable. Overall I’m very happy with it.
** I wasn’t happy with the Amazon delivery driver though, who thought it would be a good idea to launch it over the 6ft back gate onto the concrete pavement behind. Thankfully the box landed on the one side with additional packaging.
Autocad? Revit? No-brainer.
As with anything revolutionary or powerful, there’s a learning curve.
I can’t speak to Rhino, Inventor, Maya, Archicad (etc.) users but it’s great for Revit.
If you use Acad or other CAD systems for 2D work, don’t bother. But if you use 3D modeling seriously, this is a powerful and intuitive controller–once you get the hang of it and get the settings right for your environment. Response speed (sensitivity) and direction of movement settings … plus plenty of PRACTICE are the keys to making this work for you.
I have a Logitech G600 with loads of programmable buttons. Spacemouse wireless is all the magic I needed for 3D view control. It’s fantastic and I feel like it paid for itself before I even gained solid proficiency in using it.

Ho acquistato questo prodotto per aumentare la produttivit. Onestamente ero un po’ titubante visto il prezzo, ma, una volta provato, mi sono chiesto come ho fatto prima a lavorare. Davvero un valore aggiunto alla progettazione. Per chi usa software di modellazione 3d, credo sia un “must have”! Sulla qualit costruttiva, non c’ davvero nulla da dire, nettamente sopra la media. Facile installazione e impostazione. Superato in periodo iniziale di difficolt, non ne farei mai pi a meno.

Am Anfang war es schon etwas schwer damit zu Navigieren. 🙂
Jedoch nach ein paar Tagen ist es immer besser gegangen. Hat etwas gedauert bis ich alles so eingestellt habe wie es fr mich passt. Die Einstellungen sind sehr einfach und verstndlich.
Jetzt kann ich es mir gar nicht mehr vorstellen ohne.
Die Navigation in den verschiedenen Programmen wie Fusion 360, Sketchup usw. ist einfach top.
Ich kann alles viel flssiger Zeichnen damit.

Bisogna imparare a dosare opportunamente la forza nei movimenti sulla manopola e gestirne correttamente la presa per non introdurre spostamenti indesiderati.

Top Hardware, gute Haptik, noch bessere Software
Hatte zuerst versucht, mit einer gnstigeren Mouse (mit Kippfunktion) zu arbeiten, das war furchtbar.
Das Entscheidende hier ist die Software, die einfach immer und in jeder untersttzten App funktioniert.
Man gewhnt sich in Minuten daran, lediglich zwei Achsen habe ich softwareseitig getauscht.
Intuitive
I wanted one of these for years, and it’s just so intuitive to use. No learning curve at all. One benefit that I had not expected Is that it works the same way in every application that runs it for example CATIA, Blender or Meshmixer, so you don’t have to remember different button presses for pan zoom and rotate.
Top Qualität, Preis etwas zu hoch
Ja, Qualitt hat ihren Preis. Trotzdem halte ich diesen fr zu hoch, auch wenn hier wirklich eine tipptopp-Qualitt geliefert wird. Ein solides und schickes Teil, welches die Arbeit mit Fusion360 und Sketchup wirklich enorm erleichtert. Kaufempfehlung!

Ottimo mouse 3d, stessa qualit dei fratelli maggiori ma con meno tasti. Qualitativamente molto valido. Ottimo per chi si sposta per uffici e vuole viaggiare leggero ma senza rinunciare al mouse 3d.

Ein „Must Have“ für CAD-Nutzer, das Ding hätte ich schon viel früher kaufen solle
Ich bin zwar definitiv kein CAD-Profi, sondern eher ein Hobbyanwender (3D-Drucker), trotzdem wrde ich die Spacemouse auf keinen Fall wieder hergeben wollen. Die Anschaffung hat sich absolut gelohnt.
Ich erstelle zwar nur ab und zu CAD-Modelle fr meinen 3D-Drucker, trotzdem lohnt sich die Anschaffung dieser 3D-Mouse, zumindest meiner Meinung nach, selbst fr Hobbyanwender. Ich nutze die Spacemouse mit Fusion 360 (kostenlose Privatanwenderlizenz). Hier bringt die Maus einen klaren Gewinn an Komfort. Whrend man sonst mhsam die Objekte mit der normalen Maus in die richtige Position drehen muss, zum Beispiel um Kanten zu selektieren, kann man mit dieser Maus die Objekte absolut intuitiv drehen, als htte man das Modell selbst in der Hand. Gleichzeitig kann man die Kanten mit der normalen Maus selektieren, whrend man mit der anderen Hand das Modell dreht. Das ist nicht nur deutlich angenehmer, es bringt auch einen enormen zeitlichen Vorteil. Die Bewegung selbst ist sehr feinfhlig und genau. Es erfordert zwar am Anfang etwas bung, man gewhnt sich aber sehr schnell daran.
Natrlich kann man wunderbar darber streiten, ob man als Hobbyanwender wirklich so eine Spacemouse bentigt (es geht ja auch anders), aber aus meiner Sicht rechtfertigt alleine der Bedienkomfort schon ganz klar die Anschaffung. Das muss aber natrlich jeder fr sich entscheiden.
Die Einrichtung der Spacemouse klappt brigens absolut problemlos. Einfach die Mouse anschlieen, das Treiberpaket von der Herstellerwebsite installieren, fertig. Die Maus wird danach problemlos erkannt und ist ohne weitere Einstellungen in Fusion 360 nutzbar.
Auch qualitativ berzeugt mich die 3D-Mouse voll und ganz. Das Gehuse ist sehr sauber gefertigt und macht einen absolut wertigen Eindruck. Die Maus ist zwar kein Leichtgewicht, im Gegenteil, das ist aber auch sehr ntzlich, da sie durch ihr Gewicht sehr sicher steht und problemlos bedient werden kann. Zum Lieferunfang gehrt auch noch ein Transportcase, mit dem man die Maus sicher transportieren kann.
Hinweis: Die Spacemouse ersetzt keine normale Maus, sie ist vielmehr eine Ergnzung. Die CAD-Software wird also mit der Spacemouse und der konventionellen Maus gemeinsam bedient.
Fazit: Ein wirklich geniales Hilfsmittel fr CAD-Programme. Selbst Hobbyanwendern wrde ich ganz klar zu der Anschaffung raten, fr professionelle CAD-Arbeitspltze ist das eigentlich ein Must Have”. Der Preis ist zwar kein Schnppchen, geht aber angesichts der guten Qualitt und des Nutzens absolut in Ordnung. Volle 5 Sterne, ich bin begeistert.
