I bought these recently after getting the female/male connection wrong on my first purchase.
These are working great and seem to be quite durable.
It’s very cheaply made and the USB C end is around 1-2mm longer than it should be so it sticks out. I feel like if I’m not paying attention I might end breaking.
But that being said for such a low price it solves a problem for me that does not require a high quality solutions so overall it is great.
This is exactly what I needed, works well for both my phone and tablet to connect to my other devices.
What can I say, they are small adapters that do exactly what they should at a very reasonable price
I used this product to use a memory stick to view photos on a ipad
Working fine. Same day delivery! Only thing I will say is that they aren’t branded as in the messages but at 3 quid and they work, who cares?
Seem to work fine so far… a few days of usage and no problems
I followed the Samsung instructions to copy data across to my new phone using their Smart Switch app. I elected to use wireless, but, despite my Moto G sending and the Samsung receiving, nothing actually happened.
So I decided to use cables and bought a double female connector to link up my old micro usb port to the Samsung USB-C. Again, nothing happened. I guessed it was because the joined up cables were too long. (I have previously been told by my Samsung tablet to use the cable that came with it, which is quite short.)
So I then discovered that I could attach this little converter to the usb end of my micro-usb cable. To my amazement it worked instantly, and the transference of data and apps was very quick.
So I was then able to return the unwanted connectors to Amazon.
But why do all of these things come in twos? I only needed one. Still it was very cheap.
Excellent value and prompt delivery. Too soon to know how reliable they will be.
Neat older style adapter for USB C ports on modern PCs – plug your older USB sticks into modern PCs, especially laptops with just USB ‘C’ ports.
At half the price of other USB C adaptors, these are very cheap. They also have the smallest form factor of any USB C adaptor I have seen. However, they are painfully slow. It took 8:46 minutes to copy a 9.7GB movie from my PC’s hard drive to a USB-A flash drive inserted into one of the PC’s USB C ports using this adaptor. In comparison, a Nonda and a Syntech adaptor each took 4:42 minutes. The same flash drive inserted into one of the PC’s USB-A ports also gave a reading of 4:42 minutes, which would tend to suggest that both the Nonda and Syntech were capable of better speeds, only restricted by the limitations of the USB-A flash drive, which, as it happens, is not a particularly fast one. This puts the 5Plus adaptors in even poorer light. On the hand, when speed is not critical, these adaptors’ other advantages come into play. For instance, I found that these worked perfectly well when used to attach usb drives to tablets in order to watch movies, etc., and this is where the small form factor proves most advantageous. So, although I would recommend that you get another brand for better speeds, as these are so cheap, I would also recommend getting these as well to use with tablets.
I got these so i can use my usb memory stick in my new work a7 tab
