Only 90cm is just what was wanted here. Excellent quality especially at the low price. 1080p not degraded at all. A few years ago a similar cable would have been 10x the cost, and you can still pay that much if you go to the wrong place.
I like these as they allow monitors without HDMI input to be used with HDMI source, such as laptop. Good length and solid construction.
It can also be used with DVI source to go to HDMI monitor or TV. Most video cards from 2012 on will output audio as well through DVI.

Arrived in London, only to find I had misplaced my DVI to HDMI cable for one of my PC screens.
In Norway, ordering this online would have taken ages, and it would not have been delivered on my doorstep. Here, I had a solution to my problems less than 30 hrs. after i knew I had misplaced my cable.
I recently had to purchase this after I had updated Windows, I run a dual monitor setup but lost picture on one of them with the update. I tried everything, deleting drivers, reinstalling drivers, rolling back updates, and manually installing them. None of which worked.
My computer has two display adapters each with separate drivers, the one that was working plugged into the graphics card and the other DVI plugs into the motherboard which wasn’t working. So I figured that if I could use the HDMI port into my graphics card I could run the second monitor, problem being that it doesn’t have two DVI ports just one and the HDMI. So that’s where the cable comes in, used it to connect the second monitor.
Was a little concerned it was a one way cable but plugged in and instantly fixed the issue. Would happily do this again instead of spending a week trying to solve the other issue.
It’s a simple cable and works, allowing my PC DVI output connect to a Monitor with HDMI.
This gives me my third screen to look at (a budget Samsung monitor).

i’ve been meaning to set up my dual monitors for a while but only had 1 hdmi port on my pc. when i bought this, i didn’t have high hopes and it was my last resort but it worked and i got to set up my dual monitors with the extended screen that i had hoped for 🙂

Was previously using a VGA-HDMI adapter (HDMI source, VGA monitor) which BROKE! UNBELIEVABLE! I didn’t know that VGA-HDMI adapters could break! WTF!
Anyways was very pleased to find out that I had purchased the correct cable this time. Last time I bought the Displayport-to-HDMI cable which was displayport-source to HDMI display, WTF!
But this one is HDMI source to DVI display, which is the useful kind.
I mean, what kind of source doesn’t have HDMI these days, right? The only time you’d want HDMI to anything is when the source is HDMI and the display doesn’t have HDMI. Although modern monitors mostly have HDMI, older monitors often don’t have HDMI input so this kind of cable comes in handy.
Anyways the picture quality is good.
VERY IMPORTANT: THERE IS NO AUDIO.
The DVI input must also be quite old as you don’t see it much these days so I was pleased that these cables are still available. The cable is good quality and well made. It connects easily and the picture quality on the monitor is excellent. As I connected to a monitor I was only interested on getting a picture and the monitor does not have built in sound / speakers. I know the modern HDMI connectors, really intended for television does picture and sound but I am not sure if the DVI does just picture or picture and sound as I was just using a monitor, I suspect it is picture only like the VGA connection.

Enabled me to cost effectively connect a screen to laptop HDMI port via screen DVI port. Another screen is via VGA to VGA. So I have 3 screens in total. Great for working from home.
Seems solidly constructed and durable (I swap the HDMI end between computers on a twice daily basis and this is rugged enough to cope). Works just fine (I use it between HDMI-equipped computers and a DVI-based screen) and is great value for money, so why pay more?
I used this with the DVI plug plugged into my computer and with the HDMI plug plugged into my monitor. Worked first time, no fiddling around. Happy. Cable and plugs look robust enough so look like they will last.

I bought this to connect my GTX 960 to a second screen as I didn’t have a displayport monitor at the time, but honestly I couldn’t tell you the difference. At 1080p@60Hz this cable does the job perfectly fine.

I have an old computer that only has DVI outs, and i use cheap, 2nd hand old TVs as computer screens. So i HAD to get a DVI to HDMI cable. However, i am pleasently suprised by the quality of the piture i now get. I’m wondering if there is somthing about going to a HDMI input that automatically makes the picture of this old PC better (though i doubt it’s “upscaling”). Whatever the reason, i am more than happy with these. Now to ty a VGA to HDMI on something else!
Used this cable to connect my Chromebook to my old HP monitor which did not have an HDMI input. I did use an adaptor for a little while, but that broke. This cable was exactly what I needed and I should have got this in the first place.
These work as expected in my four screen computer setup. Low cost older DVI monitors are widely available and these cables connect to my four port HDMI graphics card.
Exactly as described, easiest way to get hold of these cables unless you’re close to an enthusiast shop as you’ll only really be able to get hold of adapters.

I made the mistake of getting a 3m lead, which is far too long. I should have got the 1m lead which would have been enough, but that’s my error and it has no impact on image quality that I’ve noticed in the last 2 days.

I only needed this for a few weeks, but happy to find the picture quality of this adapter cable was just as good as a high-quality DVI-to-DVI cable I was using.
I have been using the same DVI cable for over around 8 years and had a large amount of issues with it but with this, I manage to just plug it in and get working immediately, no idea about the durability of it yet but it feels good quality, if you are needing one of these the get it, don’t wait around like I have
Skeptical whether this would deliver 1440p from my PC’s DVI-D output but it does with no issue, of course your PC output must be Dual Link (not single) for that to work.
You’re definitely able get 2K out of this, but you may need to use a custom resolution to do so (go into your graphics settings and set the custom resolution as per your monitor, make sure to change “Timing” to CVT-RB/CVT or it won’t work).

During the lockdown, I needed to connect my new laptop (which only has an HDMI port) to an old monitor (which only has a VGA or DVI port). This cable worked perfectly. No fiddling around and I am setup with an additional screen for home working.

When I bought this, I wasn’t entirely sure if it would even work to connect my old LG TV/monitor to our fairly old laptop as a second screen to work from home, it’s brilliant – great picture and sound, plus prompt delivery and reasonable price.
I have a PC setup to work from home, but also have a Raspberry Pi acting as a media server. Switching the existing HDMI adapter from one to the other was a pain, so I got this to plug into the DVI port and now I don’t have to mess around. The picture is as good as you would expect from a more expensive cable.
Had an old Samsung monitor, decent monitor but old by today’s standards, just needed a cable to hook up to my spare PC for my fiance to do some small gaming on. Trouble is old monitors have no hdmi, so this did the trick perfectly.

Expensive after paying for shipping. A bit short but does what I need to do. Connects so that I can use two monitors on my pc.
I liked the fact they just worked, honestly with all the digital standards surrounding DVI/Displayport/HDMI and having active/passive connectors the fact that I could just plug these into our workstations from DVI to HDMI on our new monitors and they just worked.
They were priced well (considering I bought a pack of 24) which was a bonus.

Bought to connect new Mac Mini 2018 to an old Dell monitor that only had DVI input, and was perfect for the job. I’ve since upgraded to a larger HP monitor which also works happily with this cable.

I purchased this lead as my daughter’s MacBook Air screen got damaged. Someone gave me a 4 year old monitor that had a DVI connector but no HDMI. I already had a spare Mac DisplayPort to HDMI adapter so purchasing this lead was cheaper than finding alternative solutions. My daughter’s laptop is now, effectively, a desktop BUT at least she can still use it!
I have given these to our remote workers to use with their laptops and 2nd screen. They work as expected and as well as much higher priced cables. I cannot comment on the durability but they look and feel very good.
Allows me to use my old monitor with my new computer. Works perfectly for it’s intended purpose. I kind of wish this cable didn’t exist, because then I’d be able to get a new monitor, but such is life.

I bought two of these cables which allowed me to finally be able to use three monitors on my new PC.
Initially, I could only use one monitor with an HDMI cable, but these cables have made my gaming experience nothing but perfect. I made the mistake of ordering 3 when I only needed 2, but as always, Amazon’s fantastic customer service was there when I needed it.

Connected my PC to my TV in absence of a spare HDMI port. Displayport and HDMI in use already.
Sadly i am unable to get by Graphics card – R9 390 to output sound on the DVI to HDMI as other people managed to.
Its either me not finding the right option or a limitation of the card i expect.
We took 60 HDMI to DVI Cables from UK to Kenya, unpacked them and connected them to DVI Monitors and they all worked first time and are still working fine.
Good, thick, chunky cable if you want to connect a new laptop to an older monitor which doesn’t have HDMI input. I’m using this on an old dell monitor, getting good image and no distortion or interference on screen. This is another superb quality AB branded cable
I have two (2) fairly old monitors that only have DVI connections, but recently got a new gaming PC that only had one (1) DVI port but plenty of HDMI ports, so I got this to connect the second monitor. The physical quality of the cable, as with most Amazon own products, is great; I haven’t been using it long but it feels sturdy. The picture quality is great; there is no reduction in quality that I can tell. It’s exactly what I was looking for and the price was low, so I would definitely recommend!
Should you buy a second monitor, or wish to display on your TV you may well find your PC video card has DVI output connectors, with HDMI input on the monitor.
I have connected my Dell Vostro PC with NVidia card to a Dell SE2417HG second monitor using the AmazonBasics adapter. Win 10 allows extension across the two screens.The Hi Definition results are impressive.

bought this to replace a very thick vga cable, for a monitor that only has VGA and DVI-D inputs. Good build quality and flexible cable. Image quality seems fine. It’s digital, so why shouldn’t it be! The 0.9m length is adequate for me, but may be short for some, so check your requirements!
The cable itself seems sturdy and well insulated, all the pins were in the right place, the gold plating was properly covering everything not an expert but everything seems great. The picture while playing is vibrant and clear, haven’t had any weird visuals. The setup I have running looks a tad like an eldritch abomination of cables, swearing and duct tape so no pictures but hey it works. (I mean it’s a cable, looks like the pictures on the shop).
Absolutely no complaints here.
I can honestly say the conversion between DVI to HDMI looks just as good as the straight through HDMI to HDMI link.
Only think I didn’t like was the cable was a bit short, but that’s a fault on my behalf as the description clearly states the length and Amazon do longer ones if you need a longer one.

This cable let me hook up an older laptop to an even-older monitor. While DVI is usually a little constraining (limiting picture size to about 1600×1024), in this case it worked perfectly because the monitor is only 1280×1024. The picture is sharp, both connectors click into their respective sockets with a pleasing firmness, and the cable is just chunky enough to resist damage, but not so rigid that it’s annoying or pushes the screen about when you move the laptop.

I have purchased adapter cables in the past such as HDMI to VGA, and the picture quality has really been impacted by them. When purchasing this I thought the same may have happened, but there was no difference made from using standard HDMI to HDMI. I have my cable at an awkward angle and this has not impacted it at all. Would definitely recommend if this is needed. The delivery came quick and cannot have any faults with the product. It arrived it perfect condition.
But the cable is extremely thick on this product which I was not expecting that means that it will be more durable. The picture quality is fine that’s expected and it was good value for money
I bought this product for my RTX 2080 Ti and my old NEC MultiSync monitor as newer cards don’t have DVI-D anymore, this simply connected to my GPU’s HDMI port and plugged straight into my monitor’s DVI port, I’ve had no issues with picture quality and my monitor is detected and connected just fine. Keep in mind that these cables are using the DVI-D connector and as such won’t support an analog signal, as long as your monitor is receiving a digital signal via DVI-D this cable will work fine!
I’ve had it for about a year, it works well but because the cable is so thick it’s hard to plug it in.

did not solve the issue which I suspect is a Dell / hardware / software problem. The picture display still fails after a short time. This was the second cable that I tried as it was suggested that it may be a cable failure but it does not seem like that to me now.
Works perfectly for this purpose and a feature I wasn’t bothered about but has since come in handy – it DOES carry sound/audio so I can play sound through the TV if I need too instead of the crappy monitor built-in speakers.

Is a thick cable so is durable and should last a long time.its length is perfect as I keep my Xbox right next my monitor but if you wanted to keep your Xbox under your desk the cable is not long enough.
I had no idea Amazon made their own cables to, I desperately needed one of these as I bought a new pc and only had DVI to DVI, the build quality is great and good to see Amazon selling their own, make sure you get a bigger one than a metre as I didn’t think and now need to unplug from pc before pulling my pc out!!
great item converts the hdmi from my gtx 7509 ti to dvi on my benq monitor so serves me well the only issue I have is the short length but there are larger ones available so would advise you check the size before you order otherwise awesome item came in less than 24 hrs
Great, was able to connect my ps4 pro to a monitor using this cable , It you find your monitor not responding to ps4 turn the ps4 off then hold the power button until you hear two beeps this will start the ps4 in safety mode and select lowest resolution 720p this should solve the problem it did for me
Excellent cable, had a HMDI to DVI cable on my very old pc which I expected to work with my new Computer and monitor but it didn’t. Tried another cable from Amazon and that was the wrong type of DVI conection (DVI(D) and DVI(I) have different pins.
As this cable said it was the latest specs I gave it a try without too much hope thinking I had a complex driver issue (Lenovo told me to rebuild my pc which i was loathe to do). I’m very happy to report it works perfectly and seems to be good quality, next day prime was great.
I’ll definitely try more AmazonBasics products in the future, as this was the first one purchased.
Does what it says on the tin. The cable length is just right for a desktop + monitor configuration, those wanting to connect to a TV will probably want a longer cable as the only problem I had was that a fair amount of slack is needed as the HDMI adapter can disconnect quite easily
Since these digital connectors are..er…digital then they dont need to be made of gold or any other expensive material. If you are buying expensive digital connectors then, in most cases, you are wasting your money because they either make the digital connection or they dont. These are cheap and they do “what it says on the tin”. I have a tower unit next to a standard height computer desk and this lead only just reached the back of the monitor so do check that it’s long enough. Its construction felt solid – once in place though, you are unlikely to move it around a lot so, again, if it works why pay over the odds.
Works great but I cannot get above 1080p for some reason. Not sure why. Side not I use it with a TV that is 4k. Maybe TVs just don’t support above this res.
I wanted to use the audio feature of my monitor and this cable could do that. I simply plugged it into my DVI port from the PC and then to the HDMI port on my monitor. I had no issues connecting it and everything worked flawlessly.
The cable was packaged well and even came with two covers for the connectors.
This cable will win no design awards but I would vouch for its durability, reliability and functionality.
