Since posting the previous review last year. I have since been in contact Annke Tech support and their customer service. Despite the time difference delay. Each one of my queries were answered next day.
So here’s the good news:-
Excellent tech support
Excellent customer service
So, issue was I needed a firmware update. tech support sent me a link. Had to purchase a specific usb to download from the net on to it.
Upgraded the firmware. ( I’m not a tech expert. But simple enough)
With that done and a reboot. Reset all preferences. All my issues were resolved.
Picture quality far superior to previous system No screen freeze on the home tv. Connection via hdmi
Play back works great. Able to play back any motion detects that have occurred
Push notifications coming through as they should.
Sound is good. Can hear things that I can’t even see.
Able to search human detect easily enough.
Not so many unwanted alert as with previous system. ( this would record a fly or moth )
Issue with water on the dome. Customer service very kindly Said they would send two replacement cameras. To which I asked for the turret type. These arrived very quickly.
Since installing no issues with obscured pics due to water. (So bad. It was impossible to see anything)
All I can say. If anyone is experiencing any issues contact Annke support.

Finally got around to installing this system. To replace older 2018 dome system.
Purchased mainly to upgrade picture quality mp/4K etc. Thought I’d pay the extra bucks to provide the additional quality picture etc.
Installation
pretty straight forward cable routes as per old system
Set up – took a little more navigation- feel the old system navigation was easier.
Also unable to view some of the camera displays
Display on tv screen during live view freezes and switches over to blank grey screens. Old system stayed on live view for ever
Pic quality – surprised to find I couldn’t set to 4K even though I have a 4K tv. Not an expert but not sure how this is.
Glass domes. Thought this was a good idea. As spiders used to make web all over the old ones.
How no issue with spider as yet. But when it rains. The glass clouds over with water droplets making it impossible to see anything.
If you can fit all cameras under cover from rain then not an issue.
Live feed back on iPhone – very temperamental/very often get message displayed “net work is unstable” also green or rainbow distortion
Live feed back on tv screen – again random and temperamental. Select a camera scroll along. Sometimes viewing is available other times nothing but a white out.
Still trying to see if I’m able to fine tune these snags out. Wether it’s a software issue or tweaking in set up.
Overall picture quality is much improved from old version when it’s viewable. But that kind of defeats the object. At least the old system was more reliable
Hopefully I can resolve these issues with some support form manufacturer. Though at moment have tried the UK number given without much success
Great System the picture clarity is excellent and everything you need is in the box.
