Picture looks great, hopefully it should more or less be the same on a night, didn’t need to change my existing cameras, but added an4one to it, definitely recommend
Very much a plug and play system, I could use my old cameras as well which was a big Labor saving, I was replacing my old system which was 10 years old and I added 4 new cameras which came with the new purchase.
I purchased one of these kits a few years ago from Amazon and it still works ok. However, I was never very impressed with the image quality from the 2MP cameras. If I purchase some of these: B08YDHN99J (5MP) will they directly replace the original cameras and provide a much higher resolution still using the existing DVR? Thanks.
Excellent and cheapest alternative to many branded products out there. Been using this cctv system for 2+ years since I ordered them. I have it for checking on my dogs and the house when I am not home and I can say with certainty I recommend them.

The image quality is good for the price point and hard to justify e.g. 4k for triple the price to see if the theif who stole your garden gnome had a mole or not
Can’t fault the physical quality of the parts. All screwed together fine when adjusting camera angles and installing the hard drive (sold separately with this model)

You can expand +4 more hard wired cameras and I believe +2 IP cameras
The camera cables are plenty long enough for each corner of my bungalow
Cons:
You have to initialize your hard drive for first time use, and you cannot do this using the app. I wasn’t initially planning on using a monitor but was forced to
The app is garbage to be fair. Has HD and Basic image quality settings for each camera, which reverts back to Basic every time you select a different camera. Even when in HD the quality drops after about 20seconds. You have to press pause and play to get it back
The hard drive light on the box doesn’t light up like it says in the manual making you think it isn’t reading or writing, but mine is recording fine
You’re can’t use a special character for the password to encrypt your data on the hard drive so limits data security
You have to type the password in so many times it gets frustrating
Would be nice to have passive power for the camera through the box. As a result you need a splitter to feed 12V to each camera (included) and a second plug (included) but makes for a messy install (see image)
My advice:
Buy it. Hope for a better app to be released especially if you don’t plan on using a monitor. You’ll need a HDMI lead for this (not supplied). You’ll need an ethernet wire (plugged into the box) if you want to use the app wirelessly on your phone etc. Don’t buy ones pre installed with a hard drive if you want it to last. Buy a dedicated surveillance hard drive if you plan on recording 24/7. I chose Seagate Skyhawk 2tb.
Wait for a deal. I paid 99.99 then next day it was 84.99.

These are ok for what I needed picture is clear and the night vision is good I did buy my HDD separately thought which worked out cheaper for me.

as for HD yea it might be but not sure the video quality would be good enough to use for identifying definitely not good enough to read a number plate with in 15 meters. However it does enough for me.

System was a peice of cake to set up. Cabling is really long so no issues. Can view in real time and replay on my phone and PC. Quality is good enough. Peace of mind is the main thing. I added a 240gb SSD drive with no issues thus far.

So far I’ve had this installed for 2 days, setup the email alerts and motion detection. Very happy so far. I did have an issue whereby on one of my TVs, part of the screen was cut off at the bottom so i couldn’t see the apply button. I emailed Annke and although they only sent me a link on how to configure the motion detection it did ultimately make me realise I couldn’t see the buttons. I’m happy with the quality so far. Tech support is a little bit lacking, there are a few YouTube videos which helped me. I also thought there was 2 way audio via the cameras but there isnt, looks like it may need some kind of additional speaker etc.
Really pleased with the system. The few problems I had with set up were quickly resolved by the Annke support team.
Well… i think its pretty good stuff for the money!!! I would say the picture quality or motion sensor is roughly 8 out of 10 but if you want a 10 you’ll have to spend fortune
Plenty cable with it too
Pros: compact, runs fairly cool and quietly (fitted my own hard drive, so this might vary.) Pretty easy to set up, apart from running the wiring for the cameras neatly around the house (always going to be a chore fitting a wired system.) User interface on the recorder’s HDMI output seems fairly intuitive, and the supplied mouse works pretty well for this. Phone app works well once correctly configured.
Cons: The web application requires an ActiveX component to be installed, and since the only thing that still supports ActiveX these days is Internet Explorer, that’s the browser you have to use if you want to see video (and you’ll have to enable ‘Compatibility Mode’ to get that to work.) You can do most of the configuration in any browser, but you’d expect to be able to watch video via the interface. The phone application is a little tricky to set up, and required port forwarding on my router to be usable outside my home. I was expecting cloud functionality to handle all of this. PC software isn’t available at the link given in the documentation, so you need a CD/DVD drive to install it from the enclosed disc. Even once you do get it installed, the PC software isn’t very good. Could’ve used a little more wire on the cameras so that the connections could be made indoors. I’ve ended up having to wrap them with self-amalgamating tape to waterproof them.
Overall: More than happy with it for the money. I didn’t expect perfection at this price point, and the good points outweigh the bad. But it’s clearly dated tech, when you can see the first queries about the ActiveX issue showing up on the Internet around 2015 and they haven’t been resolved.

This is a very easy to set up home CCTV system. I did have the advantage of already having a CCTV system in place so only had to change the cameras and base unit. Fitting the hard drive was a doddle and following the on-screen set-up boxes was also fairly easy.
The access to the cameras via the Annke Vision app was straight forward although I did have an issue after 2 weeks where the base unit went off-line. This was resolved after a day or two by using the FAQ’s and google.
I bought a second 4 channel unit for my garage/carport/office as these are a distance from the house and made use of the internet connection I have in my office. Both units can be viewed via the app.

First thing to note was everything was packaged perfectly. Only box for the recorder and one of the cameras, cables etc. No damage, no dents etc
One thing to note is that it doesn’t come with a HDMI/VGA for video output but that didn’t bother me because I have loads laying about.
One thing that I did notice was that the unit had a 1TB hard drive installed, even though I bought the no HDD version so that was a pleasant surprise. For the hard drive, it was a Toshiba unit so I have no doubt it will be both reliable and long lasting. I’m not sure if the HDD surprise was an accident and they sent me the wrong unit or whether it was like a promo. The model I received was the exact same as advertised.
I’ve marked the installation feedback as 5* because you can make this as easy or as strung out as you want really depending if you intend to track the cables or drill holes and hide them in walls etc. The only real thing that I can feedback on is the mounting of the cameras which was simple enough to be honest.
Overall a very happy customer. The old reputation of Chinese products being bad shouldn’t turn you away from this
Opening the case and installing the hard drive was easy. I used a 1tb Western Digital RED NAS drive since these drives are designed for constant use.
The cables are long, and the connectors are very easy to plugin.
Upon switching the device on for the first time, I navigated through the setup menu’s which are actually very easy to use. Within 10 minutes I was recording from all four cameras to the hard drive.
The 1tb drive seems to record about 5-6 days worth of video. Once it’s full, it will automatically continue recording but you’ll lose anything older than 5-6 days. I found that video can be exported to a USB memory stick if needs be. Very useful in my books.
Video quality is what I expected for the price. It’s even quite good in dark light.
My only recommendation for the manufacturer would be to make it a little easier to stream to my pc. It’s nice and easy to plug the main unit into your home network using an ethernet cable but I had some issues getting it to stream the video to my pc. However their support team was very helpful in showing me how I can achieve streaming of the video to my pc over the network.
I had no issues setting this up and tweaking the various settings to suit my requirements. The image quality is really good.
The connectors to the cameras are fairly large but I drilled a 20mm hole into the woodwork, pushed in the connector and covered up with the camera base. Would definitely recommend these and for the price, they are brilliant.

Works great for four months now and it was extremely easy to install and setup
Unit was smaller than expected which was better. The separate hard drive was easy to install, everything provided.I plugged in one camera and the internetpowered it up. The instructions seemed a bit vague but it all worked it found the hard drive then installed it, found the the internet I created an account and that was about it. You might need a long hdmi lead depending on distance between base unit and tv in final installation. The mouse has a long lead but I extended it as the tv is in the top of a fitted wardrobe unit with the recorder underneith which keeps the whole system hidden and the wires in the back out of sight. Picture quality is good up to10m and the mobile app works with WiFi and 4g monitored the cameras from Lanzarote and caught the window cleaner . I am going to get two more wired and two wireless cameras to extend the system
Absolutely brilliant product for the money. I bought the one without a HDD as had an old one kicking about in a drawer.
Plug, play and you’re away. I now have 4 x cameras recording 24/7 and the image quality is superb.
The product does what it says on the tin, I would recommend a monitor and hard drive as well.

I am really surprised that its actually a lot better than the swann I have. the only thing I don’t like is its control panal for DNSDYN is just about impossible to get working, however the annke cloud works great for my mobile fone.
The reset of the system is perfect. Nice easy to use out the box. If you are using it locally its really easy to set up.
This system is without HD, i fitted my own, but go as big as you can on the HD size as even 4 channels uses a lot of diskspace and my 500GB drive only gave me 4 days (for 4 cameras). I think i can adjust the encoding to make it more efficient but not played with that yet.
This is an excellent cctv system.can view from anywhere.i couldn’t view on other systems,due to port forwarding etc (So complicated)Now ANNKE have there own app.so easy to set up for a 70 year old.very happy
Arrived very quickly, and well packaged. System is very easy to put together, did not need instructions. The picture on the screen is really good day and night. I can’t comment on the sound quality as not set that part up yet. Would by again.
cant fault this system for the price i paid, i’ve been looking for a decent budget cctv system for awhile, this one came along without a hard drive which knocked off something like 75, the camera’s are all high def, so very good quality i.e. able to read car registrations or get a good clear face shot. just need to bare in mind the distance of the object. The camera’s have infrared leds around the lens and switch off when it starts to get dark and provide an invisible floodlight for the camera’s at night time. I’ve not had any issue with them so far.
I hooked this system up to my network via Ethernet, and before i’d realized it, I was able to remotely view my system. The system provides a QR code you scan and somehow this is linked up, I’m guessing Annke do some clever routing since i’m on a dynamic IP at home and the remote app has worked flawlessly every time.
The system also provides a decent interface for viewing network stats, so you can see just how much bandwidth your cameras are chewing up depending on the level of picture quality you’re after. You also can see how well the video compression works.
bear in mind if you get one of these kits without a hard drive, you’re not supposed to just stick any drive in it, do a search for surveillance drives / always active drives. These are specifically manufactured for always on activity whereas normal drives essentially have rest periods.
love it ,easy to install and the quality of the picture is very good, we managed to set it all up and we are cave dwellers so ideal for anybody, even those with limited technical knowledge. Would and are recommending it to some friends, say no more.

quite easy to set system up,my only gripe is that I cannot find a user manual for this exact model.everything works apart from remote vuew from my iphone,its ok over wifi,but cannot get it to work over cellular.all in all,quite pleased for the price,only cost another 72 for 2 tb hdd,so all in cost of less the150.

A great CCTV system for the money and exceeded my expectations for 99. All works perfectly out of the box with a generous supply of camera cables, easy to set up and easy to add your own hard drive with the supplied cables too. Live video and recordings look great on screen at home and live images also look really good over wifi/4g with the phone app.
What a great piece of kit. 4cameras plus the option of four more, continuous playback and recording. View recordings from the app as well as the main unit. Drive space seems to go on for ages. Easy chinglish setup. Camera say they are hd but they are less than 20 quid a POP so if you expect blue planet levels of detail you will be dissapointed. The night vision works really well and is automatic.

Have always wanted CCTV to keep an eye on my home while I’m in or out. I’m not techy and don’t know the first thing about setting a CCTV up. Purchased the ANNKE 4 channel system and it came promptly. My son who is 16 attached the cameras around the house, two front and two back, plugged it all in and hey presto! All 4 cameras started recording in sync. The hardest part was setting up remote viewing, but not because it was hard but because I read to much into it. I downloaded the Annke app on iOS and went to a drop down menu to start live view and I can now view my cameras anywhere. If I hear a noise at night a simply open my iPad or iPhone open the app and can check what’s happening. Since having the system I’ve captured loads of incidents, even my neighbors come round if they need something checking back. I would never be without a cctv system now, next time though I’d go for 8 channel, 4 cameras are enough for a terraced house but a bigger system would cover more area on a bigger house. I have to say the tech department are very good with any problems I had, some of the words were lost in translation because I think they are a Chinese company, but they were prompt to reply and always answered any questions and solved issues. If I can set one up with my son, anyone can do it, it’s simple plug and play, as it says on the box.
So happy with my purchase works perfectly no problems just got to buy a hard drive then job done
Hi, on of the cameras isn’t working, when I connect the power to it I can hear it starting but no video output. I have cleaned connectors at both ends but to no avail. What can I do about it?

Good value, You get what you pay for, I would suggest running the cables threw the loft.
Good system delivered promptly. Easy to setup for basic use but you might need assistance for the more technical networking settings. Clarity of image is very good, you might want to upgrade to a smaller field of view for face/reg plate detail, perhaps a varifocal camera will improve this, something I will try in due course.
Technical assistance from Annke has been excellent, you just need to make allowances for the time difference between us.
Altogether I am very pleased with the system, just be careful of the “1080p lite” spec, this is in fact equivalent to 1080N.

Great cctv system, easy to install and not expensive, already solved a couple of mysteries, good clear vision, would certainly recommend it.
Camera’s though are better than the older ones I have. very clear picture and it’s a easy setup just remember to buy a sata hard drive download app and setup on phone and view live any were in the world, can email alarms as well
Still installing product so cannot give 5 stars. But meets expectations so far.
The system works very well, very easy to setup, cameras have a good and strong build.
I like the way they are packed, especially the cables as they roll out in the corect direction for easy installing.
The menus, settings and software work really well, also the app is acceptable and even with 3G you can see the cameras live on your mobile (SD resolution only) but you can preview in HD if connected to WIFI.
The cameras are 720p so DON’T EXPECT SUPER HD QUALITY. 1280x720p but more like SD quality, you might not be able to read number plates at a certain distance.
They are good around the house for close action up to 10m to get an acceptable level of detail.
All around a good quality product, if you need a better quality image go for at least 3 Megapixels cameras !
Fantastic price, I got mine with out a hard drive, just plugged and older formatted hard drive in that was no longer of use and worked straight away. Nice and easy to work.

Nice set of cameras and DVR! Easy to install and comes with everything you will need. Setting the DVR is very straightforward as a Wizard walks you though all of it!

Very easy to set up, excellent quality on the cameras. (Though the plastic stalk would be easy to break if a miscreant of some type wanted to take out a camera) so better mounted higher up, well out reach but again, the quality of the picture is superb. The customer service people are very helpful should you get any issues (bought this on behalf of my uncle, he’s not very good with anything requiring a keyboard an mouse.. i think he messed with my config but the tech support were able to get him back up and running over the phone and emails were also responded to in a timely manner… 5 stars for me..
Ordered this and it arrived within the specified delivery time. Setup is stupidly easy. Installation was trickier… Drilling into outside walls, though walls and routing the cables through our roof space, wasn’t a piece of cake… Not hard, just very time consuming. What’s impressive is the quality of the live feed. Picks up every little detail… Even a cat in our garden at nearly midnight! Haven’t hooked it up to our home network (yet), but early results are impressive.

Very good quality overall, and very easy to install. Picture quality is very good as well. A necessity in every home, and for the price, you can’t go wrong!!
Pros:
1) Easy to install
2) Easy to configure – menus were pretty straightforward and it took very little work to access it from over the internet.
Cons:
1) When attempting to connect it to the recommended app so I could view it over the internet, the process of scanning in a QR code didn’t work for me. I gave it a couple of tries and stopped trying in favour of just manually opening the ports on my router and forwarding to the CCTV recorder.
2) The app works great, as does viewing it from a web browser, but it has to be ‘Internet Explorer’ not ‘Edge’ on a windows PC, and you have to install the may plug-ins which can make the initial setup awkward.
Overall, picture quality is decent, installation is quick, menu is straightforward and viewing over a network is reliable (if not a pain to set up).
Really good piece of kit. Nicely made. Cameras are really nice. One minor problem is the motion detection that is too sensitive during night. I think this is a problem common to any cctv system tho.
The cameras have a nice wide field of vision and provide a very clear, detailed picture, even at night.
System is very easy to install, with cables labelled appropriately and the cameras themselves can be easily adjusted to point in the correct direction with the supplied allen key. The hard drive and software was pre-installed and it was very much a ‘plug and play’ setup, just connect all the wires and turn on the monitor!

easy to setup. has all the ports you would expect. nice to have 4 camera ports spare for upgrades. would make sense to by two full kits and keep one as a space and have all 8 cameras plugged into one unit.
you can buy a external usb drive cheep now and use the drive from that. as that would be cheeper and have higher capacity then other options.
The product was delivered promptly and has a very easy set up menu along with a clear picture if I had done further research I would have bought the system that comes with a flip up monitor as I had to purchase a separate monitor besides that I am very pleased it does the function that I require
Good system but had to replace mains adaptor after a week as the one with it failed.
A very good system which is easy to fit, the instruction manual was ok but doesn’t explain everything that you need to know!! It’s also a shame that the connectors are so large, they are not waterproof either so will need to be installed inside waterproof boxes of installing outside.
